Kerusey allowed his eyes to slide to Satomi as she approached him, and nodded his head, murmering "Indeed," with a type of bored indifference as yet another petal fell into his mane, though a faint smirk twisted his mouth. He did not bother to dislodge it and instead refocused on his niece as she spoke. Perhaps he should have been kinder to Satomi, but the smile he gave her envoked nothing but pleasant thoughts of fooling his brother into believing he was truly settling - his pleasure had little to do with taking her as his mate.
As Ney'ite spoke, Kerusey's eyes narrowed slightly. Everything was falling into place? He didn't like the sound of that, he decided. It seemed there were plans that were happening that he wasn't aware of. He shot his brother a glance, but kept his annoyance internal. He disliked being out of the loop with plans, but his gaze soon slid back to Ney'ite.
Perhaps it was her similiarity in appearance to him, but Ney'ite had always seemed to show such promise, until his brother corrupted her with his ways.
He nodded his head as she moved away, and was somehow unsurprised that Satomi similiarly drifted away from him. He wouldn't call himself pleasant company, especially not in this situation, so he did not bother to follow Satomi, though perhaps he should have to keep up appearances.

Sata listened as his father spoke, his chest swelling up with pride and wonder as Eytucan’s voice commanded the attention and respect of the People. He joined in with a loud roar of his own when his father finished the speech, wishing that it was a little stronger and wondering how long it would take for the cubs to arrive. It made him grin as he looked at the happy couple again and catch the exchange of loving glances and whispered words. Not too long, he figured.
The young lion was growing impatient and he longed to return to the dense foliage. Blue eyes followed his father eagerly, hoping he would soon announce the ceremony was over.

Eytucan lowered his head from his roar and returned his front legs to the ground. With a grin, as the echo's of his people rang through the jungle and the night sky. He grinned, looking to his family and friends and to his beloved. "Let us feast." He said, lowering his head to the food before him.
Jubes could barely keep her breath long enough to maintain the length like everyone else could. She fell forward panting, smiling at all the petals that clung to everyone's manes and backs. She looked over to Silron and made a dreamy look, before tossing a loving gaze towards Toruk among the crowd. She sighed and began to walk past the dark male and down the spiraling tree branches to the ground.
To the feast.

Silron rolled his eyes at Jubes, lowering himself to his own elbows and just leaning forward to watch the festivities. He really didn't feel so inclined to go down and bob around with the crowd; not yet. So he just sort of leaned to the side so she could go past and settled down to watch.
Pietr literally jumped out of his skin when his sister came out of no where. He lowered his ears and wrinkled his nose at her in a grimace. "I am calm Petra..." He said quietly, in a hushed voice. "I know I will. I will try to be a good mate and king." He said quietly as well, his ears lowered, pressing himself against her. "Thanks for the assurance sister."

Petra smiles at her brother and leans up to groom his cheek reassuringly. he was such a worry wort. She really had to find a way to get him to be calmer, after all it was a shame for him to be so highly strung when he needed to be calm and composed for the pride.
"You'll be a great mate and king Peitr, just, for this moment, relax and enjoy what you are seeing. It's a beautiful thing, romantic." She laughs a gentle happy laugh, she had thoughts of romance on her mind and this beautiful little scene, well it was well worth watching and enjoying and not worrying about anything else. "Live for this moment Peitr it will make you a stronger person."

Clermelli-Pie stretched lazily and went to follow the others to the feast. She did not sit so close to the couple this time, but instead ended up closer to her own cubs. They were part of this just as any other cub here could have been. She felt all the more that they were part of things she did not understand when something like this happened that brought the pride together. Clerm tried not to worry too much, but her head filled with worries it seemed.
Worries about what would be, if she would ever find someone. She needed to push her worry to the side during celebrations, but she never seemed to succeed completely on that. She smiled softly at her cubs and the others around the pride that were growing so fast. Her cubs would find mates and have cubs of their own before she would ever have anyone or more cubs. She would be proud of them for it too, even if it broke her heart. She would likely be as old as Kaym before she found a mate of her own. That was not a pleasant thought. He was old.

Toruk let his voice trail away, lowering his shaggy maned head to glance across at the couple. When the din had died down enough for him to be heard, the King gave everyone leave to start the feast. Smiling to himself he stepped away from the happy couple and slipped over to settle besides Clermelli. Nipping her ear lightly he tilted his head in a questioning expression.
"Enjoying the party, sister?" he asked gently, knowing she had worries on her mind, (when didn't she?) but hoping that at least for today, she was enjoying the celebrations worry free.

Eytucan sat and observed his people and tried to imagine his father looking down at him, proud of him, happy for their people and for the blood that was their people. He looked to the warriors and couldn't imagine being without their strong shoulders and protective spirits. He looked to the priests and priestesses and thanks Eywa for their spiritual guidance. He looked to the Artisans and the Crafters and the cubs and the families and the friends.
He looked upwards to the tops of the trees and thanked them for their shelter and the safe sleeping places they provided. He looked to his mate and smiled to her and was thankful that she was at his side. He couldn't have ruled without her... she was his support. He looked to his children and beamed. Fin for Eytucan.
Jube's got to the ground and had to push through the swarm of members who were eagerly headed to the feast. The food of meat and fruits and other delicate things was spread out on the dark wood center piece. The artisans long ago had carved it from a large tree that had been struck by lightening, charred and hardened. Large leaves cradled the food, and Jubes mouth watered at the smell of warthog and other rarities for their area. She got into line and eagerly danced in tune with the singing and laughing.
She finally got to step up and decide what she wanted to eat first, grabbed a mouthful of sweet berries and walked to a clear spot in the crowd and began to savor them one by one. Marriage, to her was like sweet berry nectar. Fin for Jubes
Silron watched Jubes leave and sort of gave a heaving sigh; his head laying on the branch and his paws dangling over it; like they were broken. He didn't feel so inclined to eat with the crowd. Perhaps that was why his father suggested a warrior for his future, he was very self aware but had a love for his pride; traits he needed. He watched Jube's head straight to the feast and chuckled at her; she was always sort of strange to him... but a good friend. He looked to his father and his mother and saw the connection they shared, and was jealous of them for a brief moment. He looked around to the new couple and felt happiness for them.
He wondered if he was going to see himself in the same position someday, a young lion looking down on his own wedding to some female. He wasn't sure how he liked that. He hadn't met a girl he had liked... not yet anyway. He looked to a few of the single females down below and couldn't imagine himself with any of them... at least he didn't think so. With another sigh, he simply watched the last of the petals drop off everyones backs and manes; and onto the forest floor. Fin for Silron'zem
Pietr smiled back at her, though he was still a nervous wreck. When she told him he would be a good king, he nodded lightly. He had no fears of that he supposed.. he just felt really nervous. He coughed, watching as the crowd began to hurry to the feast. He could see Jube, the bubbly seeress from a different land; like he and his sister. He coughed and looked upwards and spotted Silron, Eytucan and Zelt's son; hanging with his paws flopped around like a kills.
"Your right... I need to be not so nervous. I should just.. get to know what is going to happen when it is my time. And your's sister..." He said softly. He reached over and put a paw around his sister and hugged her close. "Come on sister... let's get in line before Jube's eats everything..." Fin for Pietr

Clermelli-Pie was lost in her thoughts. The worries eating at her a bit more than they should have. She was so distracted that when Toruk settled beside her, she did not say anything to him. The n** on the ear made her blink and take notice of him, though. That had taken her a little off guard, but seeing whom it was she had to chuckle. Leave it to the old warrior to act like a cub and know just how to get her out of her worries. The lioness poked his knee in return. She did not feel like reaching up to poke his shoulder, since she was quite a bit shorter than he.
She tilted her head to the side in the same gesture that Toruk himself used. It was one of the things they did in common when speaking and listening to others. "It is a lovely celebration. Kaym is very lucky to have found a wonderful mate." She was careful how she worded things to deflect the question to some extent. She did not want to worry Toruk with what was on her mind. He might start to wonder what was wrong with her to be desiring a mate so badly when she was doing just fine without such nonsense.

Sata could not deny that he was relieved to see the celebration end – well, there was still the feast, of course, but all the carcasses bothered him a little despite how beautifully they were presented. So he made way to the fruit first, throwing a playful wink towards the huntress who had once taken him to see the weaving birds deep into the forest. He’d grown considerably larger since then so he wondered if she would even recognize him – hopefully he wouldn’t create an awkward moment. His white feather was still hanging around his neck, like a friendly hint that could help him recognize him as the little cub she’d once met.
He ate – both meat and fruit – until he could no more. Fascinated by all the different skeletons, he was having a hard time walking away from all the delicacies but it wasn’t long until a shadow in the distant foliage caught his attention. It could be nothing… then again it could be something. A creature that lacked fear of lions or someone who didn’t much care for the festivities, he’d happily take either. Already could he feel the jungle pulling him in and the blue lion released the fruit he had been eating and headed towards his mother without thinking. He gave her a gentle nuzzle and, without a word, walked away to the place where he’d spotted the shadow before. Again, it could be nothing. But it could also be a future companion that he was meant to find and befriend or simply the start of an adventure. It wasn’t important. The young lion’s was completely focused on his current actions and no voice from behind would be able to reach him at that moment. He entered the dense foliage silently and instantly disappeared from view.
Fin for Sata

As the procession made their way down to the feast, Koehro took his time, weaving amongst the trees and forging his own silent - watchful - path to where they would all feast. It was habit to remain on the borderline, strangely part of yet removed from the pride, and his times of roaming the boarders and keeping their pride safe had only reinforced that.
The longing was there, to go join in, but he didn't see how he could.
Awkward lion.
He could shake that feeling off, if only somewhat and for a temporary amount of time, but it would return.
Dark eyes roamed as he drew forwards to eat and then drew back just as silently as he'd moved forwards, clutching a piece of meat in his jaws. Retreating to slump beneath a heavy overhang, the dark, striped male found his eyes touching on his twin sister. He smiled to himself.
Pulling a strip of meat free from the larger portion he'd carried, he chewed thoughtfully. A striped cub caught his eye; the colour was familiar. The big male's eyes momentarily narrowed, thoughtfully, and his gaze was cast around again.
'Ah...there.'
Satisfied he'd located the one he wished to watch over more than the others, he turned his gaze away once again. But, he couldn't help but let his eyes frequently swerve back over to the tiny female that was something of an enigma to him. Soft ears flipped back, not quite pinning against his head, but it was a tell that he was uncomfortable.
...too many lions gathered in one spot.
Or so he tried to reassure himself.

Toruk smiled in return, pleased he had been able to make her smile, if only briefly. He worried for his adopted sister, just as much as he knew Kaym did. But he had no idea what either of them could do to help her with her troubles.
Instead he grinned at her poke and leaned over to groom the thatch of fur on top of her head playfully. "That he is. Just us two now in old-bachelorhood." He knew of her thoughts, for she thought them often and over time the big male had learned to read the emotions she showed quite well.
Feeling someone look over he lifted his head and blinked across at the dark striped male, an ear flicking as he wondered, but he made no comment to Clermelli beside him. Another flash of movement that was going against the general crowd around the food was a lion he knew well, one of the heirs, yet it was not unusual for Sata to be on the fringe f the pride at the best of times so Toruk did not worry about the youth slipping away like he did. Instead, the old warrior dipped to his meal, giving Clarm a gentle nudge with his muscular shoulder to indicate she should eat too.

Clermelli-Pie nudged the old warrior back and made a face at him. She knew he wanted her to eat, but her mind was on other things. There was just too much going through her head and not much of it happy. Her cubs growing was happy, Kaym being mated was happy, but her situation not so much. The python incident, the lack of a mate, and there was also that nagging in her mind of missing her brother and parents. Her parents had encouraged her to go off and find a pride to call home. They would be fine without her, but how had her brother fared?
The lioness shook her head and cleared out the thoughts before taking a bit of food for herself, eating a little. "If my brother were here, I am sure he would join us in that... he never really had an interest in getting a mate... probably because he was too busy trying to play warrior." She chuckled at the memory. "Maybe one day I should take the time to travel back to my parents and tell them of this place... or at least my brother. They wanted us to find a pride, I am sure they would want to know their own pride is still here." It was probably the first time in a long time she had spoken of her parents or brother. The pride and her cubs had taken up so much of her time lately.
