 The sound of a slap next to her made Penny visibly stiffen, her eyes widening as she continued to look at her feet. Her breathing increased slightly & the pupils of her vaguely reptilian eyes narrowed to slits. She felt Dr Erie pull his fingers through her hair but still she didn't look up, not even when he took a sample of her spike. It didn't hurt, once the spikes were at their full length the marrow & nerves that had helped it to grow receded back into her body, ready for said spikes to be fired without causing damage. It was only after Erie finished speaking that something... strange began to happen.
A low barely audible sound began to emanate round the room, a guttural sound. A growl. A dragon-like, viscous growl. Penny's lean, wiry muscles began to bunch, the restraint holding her tail straining as she pushed against it with the long, strong appendage. She was still looking at the ground but somehow she seemed scarier, more animalistic. Suddenly she spoke, her voice low & full of malice,
"You really, should not have done that. I will not tolerate your despicable behaviour, you have no right to kill others as you please."

Thinking that he had sufficiently studied the joint, he turned his back and walked away from Penny, only coming to hear her growls quickly. "Well well well, suddenly a feisty miss are we?" he cooed, pausing across the room, still with his back to her. "Security. I'd like a taser officer please?" he spoke over an intercom. Shortly after, a tall, wide man entered from a different door to the one that Hydra and Biest were at. In his right hand was a boxy yellow taser gun, charged and ready. "Now. Are we going to calm down Penny? I should think so, what a ridiculous outburst. Anyway, to clear up this matter of 'killing'. Well. How very ludicrous. What I do, Penny, is merely explore your body, working out it's methods. Finding out how it...ticks. The death...." he paused and shrugged, "...the death is merely an unfortunate consequence."
The man finished with a light chuckle (or dark, depending on how you look at it,) and finally turned to face the tense reptilian female. His eyes were closed however, and a straight smirk on his thin lips. "I am thinking that I should start with you..." he announced, smacking his hands together once. Taking slow, heavy steps towards the silent Mark, eyes open, he leaned in and whispered, "And you, sir, can watch..."
Cowering on the floor, Hydra watched as Biest attacked the sniper, thus saving her life. The man then bandaged her ankle, stemming the bleed. His accent was thick, but she just managed to understand as he asked her about her standing. "Yeah...I can I think," she breathed, heaving herself up. With a heavy heart, she watched as the Dr beat Mark around the head, then turned to Penny. "No..." she breathed. She had seen the man with the taser, and thus had no idea what to do. With her brows raised she turned to Biest. "Help!" she mouthed. Lucy felt so helpless, her water was not fully returned, all she could do was smash some glass...

Mark glared at Dr. Erie, while he tugged at his bonds. After a little while the telekinetic stopped struggling and started sending his hate telepathically at the doctor. Mark closed his eyes, breathing deeply, trying to 'recharge' quicker.
In the corner of the room, where the shadows were at their darkest, a pair of glowing white eyes stared at the scene before it. The shadows swirled, creeping along the walls and the floor. Then the eyes disappeared and the shadows returned to the size they were before, as though nothing had happened. The shadow of Dr Erie then shifted slightly, hardly noticible though.
((derp trying to bring in a new character without upsetting the plot, don't mind me ))

Fritz spat some blood that was still in his mouth to the side before standing up next to Hydra. He frowned as he watched Dr Erie and it deepened when he noticed the human carrying a taser. Hearing Hydra's quiet 'no' he turned to look at her and saw the word she mouthed to him. Biest placed a hand on her shoulder and nodded once before stepping back.
Frederick once again transformed into a sparrow and flew through the window that Hydra had shattered. He dived at the man holding the taser's face, scratching at his eyes with his small claws and then landed on the floor infront of the other two mutants. He shifted forms to that of a grey wolf. His hackles went up and his lips pulled back to reveal his teeth as a fierce growl tore from his throat. His mismatched eyes fixed onto Dr Erie with a glare.

Penny didn't seem phased by the call for a taser, which was strange in itself considering how afraid she usually was of such things. She continued to speak in the low, malicious voice, directing her words at the doctor.
"By 'exploring' our bodies as you call it, doctor, you cause death. Therefore you are killing others, it is as simple as that. If any of us deserve to be called mutants or monsters it's you, considering your barbaric experimentations, especially when you're just like the very people you kill."
There was no hint of fear in the girl's voice anymore, she seemed like a completely different person. Her growling grew in volume & intensity, the spikes across her body beginning to quiver slightly, as though they were being primed for something. Suddenly the girl's head snapped up, her mouth parted ever so slightly to reveal glinting pointed teeth, a partially forked tongue just visible.
The arrival of Biest flicked the switch right back in the other direction. She hadn't expected the sudden sight of a snarling grey wolf & in an instant she shrank back into her fearful state, no longer subtly fighting her restraints but leaning back into them, away from the canine before her. She whimpered as her pupils filled out again, getting wider & rounder. She was weak. She was pathetic. There was no changing that, so why even try? The lizard-like girl closed her eyes tight, once again a harmless shivering wreck.

Dr Erie, whilst Penny had been talking, stood with one arm across his torso and the other with his hand on his chin, slightly looking at the floor. "I suppose, yes, in that sense, I am a killer. But it is all for a purpose flower, so you need not be afraid now." He did not expect the mutant to show up either, but he did not show fear in the slightest. Instead, he laughed. "Oh wow! Look who else had joined us. Does the doggy want to play?" he cooed, clicking his fingers towards the wolf. Dr Erie delved his other hand into his pocket, and withdrew a syringe of anesthetic. He flung it at Biest, aiming for anything fleshy.
Even though Biest had gone in, Hydra still felt helpless. That is, until she spotted the sink. With a small smile, she concentrated on balling up the water. The tap contorted until a jet of water burst from the top, swiftly forming a ball and surrounding the taser wielding guard. Hydra held it there for a while, until the guard fell limp from drowning. She punched the air, a small action of victory in this battle.

Mark opened his eyes when Biest entered the room. There was something...off, however. He could sense someone else. Another mutant in the room, however he couldn't enter the new mutants mind. There was something blocking him.
"Biest! Get back!"
Erie's shadow twisted and warped, until a human shape began growing out of the floor from the Doctor's shadow. The mutant opened it's glowing white eyes suddenly and grinned showing sharp, pointed teeth. Shadows dripped from the mutant's body, as though they were water. When the shadows had disappeared it could be seen that the mutant wore the facilities 'mental ward' outfit.
"Dooooctooooor, I foound yoou~"

Fritz continued to growl at Dr Erie and it intensified with how the doctor treated him like a dog. The growling ceased however as he watched as a syringe was thrown at him and at Poltergeist's call to move, which he did by quickly changing into a mouse and darting back before reverting back to his human form. His breathing was heavy, he wasn't used to changing forms so many times, but a few deep breaths had him almost back to normal. The syringe smashed on the floor where he had been stood moments before, it's contents spreading out now of no use.
Biest's odd eyes widened as he watched Dr Erie's shadow twist and grow until another mutant stood there.
"Mein Gott..."
His voice was hushed as he breathed out those two words before he shook his head to get himself to focus. Frederick turned toward Poltergeist and quickly got to work on removing his binds.

Penny still had her eyes tightly closed, but that didn't stop her from hearing the eerie, unfamiliar voice now in the room. She also heard yelling, the smashing of glass & what sounded like someone drowning. It was all too much. Why did everything always have to end in violence? She just wanted it all to stop, to go away. Her scaled body continued to shake, the motions getting more & more intense until the table she was on began to shake with her, rattling loudly. She was gibbering to herself,
"Stop it stop it stop it stop it."
Over time her voice got louder as she repeated her words, until she was practically screaming the phrase,
"Stop it!"
Without warning the girl's entire body went taut, her eyes opening wide as all of the spikes lining her body fired off at once, piercing anything they came into contact with. Even the ones on her back managed to stab the table she was lying on, the tips just visible on the underside of it. Almost immediately new spikes began to take the place of those that had left, though they were much shorter at the moment. Penny slumped back against the table with her eyes closed again, not able to cope with the amount of energy needed to expel all of her spikes at once - she was still conscious, but only barely.

Mark rubbed his wrists once Biest had released them. Muttering his thanks, the telekinetic quickly hopped of the table and turning to glare at the Doctor and his little friend.
"Who are you?"
The other man chuckled, holding a hand to his chest.
"My name is Night."
He narrowed his eyes at the other mutants, a smirk present on his face. Flicking his wrist his shadow coiled around his leg, like a snake. Another flick and it settled back into the ground as though nothing had happened.
"I control the shadows. I am their master."
Mark growled, lifting a nearby chair and chucking it at Night. Quick as a flash Night's shadows reached out and grabbed the chair, gently placing it on the ground next to him as he folded his arms, grinning.
"You can't hurt me, telekinetic."
He looked out at the other mutants in the room. Turning his head from one side to the other as he looked.
"Doctor, do you want me to help?"

Frederick turned away from Poltergeist to release Reptilia from her binds, that is until her spikes were fired from her body. He moved but wasn't fast enough, one spike embedded itself in his left shoulder another left a long, deep cut on his left thigh. A hiss of pain escaped him and his right hand flew up to the spike stuck in his shoulder and his left hand pressed against the wound on his leg. Doubling over for a moment Fritz took a few deep breaths before standing straight once more and removing his hands from his wounds, he would remove the spike later right now there were more pressing issues. Taking in the girls condition now he removed her binds and lifted her over his uninjured shoulder then to the Doctor and the new mutant.
Fritz listened to the mutant, Night, stood before them before muttering a few choice curses in German at his question to the Doctor. He turned his head to look at Poltergeist out of the corner of his eye.
"It looks like vee may haf a fight on our hands."

Dr Erie scowled as the syringe smashed to the floor, "That's another one broken..." he murmured, holding a hand to his forehead. When Night arrived, he span around, a huge smile now sitting on his face. "Night!! Oh how I have missed you..." The words lolled from his tongue, lazy and rather awful. "You want to help? Sure, go ahead!" The Doctor laughed, his head falling back with bellows of it. Stepping to the side, he was almost non-chalent about this psychotic killer turning up, with his arms across his chest and that wicked smile still on his face, seemingly there to stay now that he was not on his own.
Hydra yelled out, her tough exterior fading as the mutant appeared. She had never seen this one before, he was....horrid. The girl buried her hands in her hair, her fins flattening against her head. What was she supposed to do? Resorting to the still leaking sink, she pressurised the water until it was a powerful jet and tried to aim it at the man named Night. It was hard getting it to turn, the bleeding wound on her leg was sapping her energy. She spotted Penny, having just fired her spikes and now slipping into unconsciousness, and immediately found a reserve of energy. Yelling out with a battle cry, she sped into the room and grabbed Penny as soon as she was freed.
She span back on herself and hauled the girl from the room, whilst the others were all preoccupied with Night. Well..what was the point in that? None of them could get out of this place....Once she was behind the furthest away cell block, she lay Penny down and sprayed some water on her face, from the palm of her hand. "Penny...Pen speak to me..."

Penny didn't stir at all as she was dragged from the room, nor when she was lain on the ground & had water sprayed on her face. Her hair lay across her cheek, now plastered there due to the water, & her chest rose & fell steadily. Firing off that many of her spikes had drained all of her energy & she needed a while to recover. Already new thorns had started to emerge from where the previous ones had been ejected from, though they were a lot shorter at the moment & much less deadly.
After a few minutes of lying on the floor Penny began to stir, making a small groaning noise & scrunching her eyes up tighter. Slowly opening her eyes a few seconds later the lizard-like mutant lolled her head in Hydra's direction, the smallest hint of a smile on her face. Her voice was very quiet & slightly slurred when she spoke,
"Hi there... Hydra... why do I feel so tired...?"
In her drowsy state Penny hadn't yet recalled the events of just previously, so she had no idea why she was lying on the ground, utterly exhausted. She attempted to sit up, only to find she could barely get her muscles to respond.

Night cackled, his deep voice echoing around the room. The manic grin spreading across his face, showing off his sharp teeth.
"Well little mutants? I thought you were going to fight me?"
Mark's eyes scanned the dimly lit room, it was obvious that this was not the place they should be fighting this...thing.
The telekinetic turned to Fritz muttering his makeshift plan to the other mutant.
"Outside, we need to lure him outside. The sun's still up right?"
Mark wasn't entirely sure how well this plan would work as the sunlight created it's own shadows, but it might be better than fighting with the darkness all around them.
Grunting with the effort, Mark ripped one of the tables from the floor hurling it at Dr. Erie. That man needed to be removed. Mark could sense that he was plotting something.

Fritz turned to Mark, although he watched Night through the corner of his eye, and nodded to others idea.
"Ja. I can try to get him out, I may haf de advantage of being able to change forms but..."
Biest lifted and flexed his left arm and winced at the pain. He couldn't raise his arm past his shoulder or lift it behind him and the fact that the spike was still there didn't help. Blood leaked out around the spike and stained his jacket. His leg was also still bleeding, turning the dark blue material of his trousers almost black.
Frederick watched as Mark threw a table at Dr. Erie and tensed himself ready to transform and do all he could to get Night outside.
