He shifted his stance, one foot tracing the edge of hers to tuck one leg behind her knee and shove hard on her chest, letting the arm that knocked her off balance slide onward to catch her shoulder and sweep her down almost smoothly to the ground. He was far stronger than someone his height and build should have been, combined with using her disadvantages against her.
The hand that had eased her topple on the way down now moved to touch, very lightly at the edge of her neck. "MuCephei has needles, she could bleed you out with a good strike or blind you... I've now removed you from his equation, killing him would be variant degrees of easy depending on who you were facing, Ares uses smoke as well, she could call Nemesis and more... "
His words were gentle but heavy with warning.
"You do good work together, you have very good ideas, but I'll encourage you both to practice till you can read each other like books...it could save not just your life...but many others. Congratulations though on your team work... your a credit to us... thinking on your feet quickly comes only with practice and you have a good start."

Alunite was going his best to breathe in using one of his long sleeves as a screen, but that was certainly not as effective as he would have wanted it to. And it did jack s**t for his eyes - so he was crying like a little b***h. He didn't really get to see anything through the smoke, so the explanations came in handy.
Good... but not quite good enough. That wouldn't do. Alunite knew not many got the chance he was given - the last thing he wanted was to waste it.
Fluorite, for her part, had nothing really going for her. The hood, it does NOTHING !! She was pretty much helpless as she was settled down on top of the roof, still trying to expel the smoke she had breathed in. Thankfully the smoke finally cleared, and she was left gasping for cleaner air.
In a true battlefield, as they were now, it would have been different. Fluorite would have been the first to give the order to run the ******** away if they'd ran into an eternal senshi, even if it was the two of them.
Running wasn't always possible, through, so she could see the point of the exercise. Through, was all the damn smoke necessary ?? "Sweet baby jesus what the ********." Her voice was raspy.
"I think she meant." Alunite wasn't faring much better, and stopped to cough, through he had lowered his impomptu sleeve-mask. "Thanks for the lesson."
"No, I mean THAT s**t--" Ack ! "is nasty !"

He laughed, he didn't do it very often, he realized that as the sound rolled forth in a warm chuckle. These days it was reserved for a select few, but these two... mmm... he approved.
He was pleased that she still had her Brother as he was intended to be, that they had each other, it was like watching coins flip through the air, heads and tails and somehow tied even though either face could be taken as a single entity.
"I might have avoided using the smoke." He conceded. "But you should always learn to use your weapon to the best of your skill, no matter how ridiculous it might seem now, both of you... whatever comes after should grow from what you are dealing with now... like the personal growth that goes into earning your next ranks."
He nodded and gave them the grace of pulling -down- his goggles and mask, the mask being a far more rare occasion than the goggles to be sure.
"Better you know not to underestimate the small things now... and... better you know what my weapon is now as well, one day you and I might need to work together and knowing what you are in for is half the battle...or at least a good portion of it."
He offered Fluorite a hand. "I should offer you both some tea to make up for that..."

Oh, Fluorite would have had a word or two to say about ridiculous weapons. Pretty much everyone she had met had agreed that her little card was more or less useless save maybe for distraction.
But well, her raw throat kept her quiet, and she just nodded, accepting the hand and working herself back on her feet.
This was the first time she'd seen him without his mask, she realized. He looked... different than what she'd thought. Younger, mostly. The way he spoke just made him seem so much older, and it was sometimes easy to forget that they were roughly the same age.
Alunite was still dusting himself from his numerous meetings with the rooftop when he stilled. He'd been listening to what the general was saying, of course, but one perticular word had him stop, and had him focus his whole, undivided attention.
"Tea ?"
"Well, good luck." Fluorite was rolling her eyes in a very clearly playful manner. "You're never getting rid of him now."

"...Duly noted." Zink said sounding deeply amused. "You're perhaps more of a coffee person?" He arched an eyebrow at Fluo and tilted his head to one side, it made him seem almost birdlike just for a moment. Perhaps catlike might have been a better word... something that watched from high places and passed a sort of silent judgement on what passed below.
"Alright... let's take you around for tea and coffee and cakes." He pulled his mask back up and headed for the roof edge. "If you're interested of course... and you can tell me a little more about yourselves... IF you don't mind of course.

"That would indeed be true," Fluorite had never seen what her brother found so amazing in tea. Ugh...
The two sibilings exchanged looks, and then stepped forward to follow the general. Hey, why not ?
Just a little break every now and then was a never a bad thing.
