Rosie had observed, clearly the change of expressions Luke had gone through after suggestion.

"Alright, if not I understand," She replied kindly. She didn't want to force anything on anyone after all.

She had to be honest with herself... this wasn't exactly something she had seen from Luke before, at least, not like this.
Her friend was usually so hidden about what he was feeling, hiding it behind indifference or annoyance.
But just now, in a span of a few split seconds, she watched him go from mild surprise, to a look like... sadness, and than to anger. Not annoyance... that was anger.

Something had to be wrong.

"... Your not going back home are you?" She asked, hesitantly. in what little she knew about Luke, there was only one thing she could really think of that might upset him.
It was something she worried about, but kept silent, since it wasn't her business... was Guy here to take Luke back to the Grand Ile? was that why he was doing this whole change.
"I mean, if its what you want..." She quickly added, realizing her first comment might have come off a little odd, or rude.

Asch quickly realized he had erred when Rosie's voice started sound more certain. He'd let his emotions get away from him for a moment, and now he seemed to be on the verge of messing up. Reigning in his feelings, he turned to look towards Rosie with a more level expression.

"Do you think I should go home?" he asked. He didn't even know why his twin was here in the first place. Why did he leave his country and come here of all places? Asch wanted to know, and he would have to play his cards right if he wanted to find out without rousing Rosie's suspicions.

He would throttle that idiot himself if he had run away or something.

She blinked at this question, looking back at Asch, lips parting softly as she took a moment to really gather what was asked, and just... what she thought about the answer.

"... Well, It shouldn't be what I think really..." She started, after she gave it a moment's consideration.
Reaching a hand up to the tips of her hair, playing with it absently.
"If thats what you feel you need to do. If you think you've gathered everything you need from being here."
She glanced down for a second, only to look back up at him.
Admittedly a little uncomfortable,
She didn't want him to leave, Him and Guy were good people, and she had had a lot of fun spending time with them.

Again she blinked, leaning forward to place her hand back down on the table, looking closer over to the boy she thought was Luke.
"Your conflicted about that aren't you? What do you think you should do? Have you talked to Guy about it?"

She didn't know the whole story behind the runaway prince's home life, and why he left.
But she knew enough, enough to know he wasn't happy there.

Asch was starting to get a little annoyed. This girl was so naive, it was disgusting. Leaning back in his chair, Asch closed his eyes for a moment to compose himself while folding his arms behind his head. "I wouldn't have asked if I didn't think your opinion was important," he told her bluntly. Sheesh.

His green gaze was then pointed at the ceiling as he frowned, then glanced back down at Rosie when she asked about Guy. "I don't need to ask him. He probably came here to get me." From what Asch assumed, Guy had likely arrived in Kodo long after Luke. Which meant he was here to retrieve him. It was very unlikely that the two of them would have come here on a field trip together.

Although.. if Asch played his cards right on what little he knew, he could push things in his favor. He then sighed with what appeared to be some remorse, as he tried to play the part. "My mother is feeble and is probably worrying herself sick because of me."

"I'm glad that you think my opinion matters," She told him, she certainly looked touched, but at the same time she looked a little uncertain,
Telling him what she felt, she wasn't sure when the best answer was for him. she didn't want to come off as selfish to him.

Sipping lightly at her Italian soda, consider what he had asked again, and just what he had told her before.
It was the last statement that caused her to stop, and sit very still... this fact about his mother... she had never shared before, and despite herself, it surprised her.
"Y Your mother might not be well?"

This certainly changed things, her eyes wide, her face a little paler then it had been before.
"Oh Luke, I know your not happy with them, but maybe you should at least try and contact her, and tell her your okay..."

Suddenly the blond girl perked up, "OH! I know! What about a letter, you should send her a letter while you figure out what to do."
that sounded like a good idea. and already she was digging for a pen.

Asch blinked once, certainly not expecting Rosie to decide that he should write a letter, especially not right now. As tempting as it was to write his parents and tell them exactly where Luke was so they could come get him... the very thought made him cringe. He didn't know enough about Luke. What if his handwriting and wording was off, then they might know that it wasn't him. No, no that wouldn't do at all.

"What? No, not right now!" He quickly said while sitting up straight. "Just make sure I do it later, okay?" Of course Asch actually had no intention of writing a letter himself, but maybe Rosie could convince Luke to do it. Their mother probably -was- worried sick, and it irritated him to know that his "brother" might not have considered that. Plus, maybe it would get the ball rolling on getting him back home where he belonged. Far, far, away from Asch.

She blinked as well when he refused, but when he said he would do it later, she placed the pen down,
Looking a little more concerned then she had a few moments ago.
"Okay, I'll remind you later... I didn't know your mother might be sick,"
This kinda hit Rosie in a place that was very tender. eyes lingering on the table for a few seconds, before glancing back up at him.
"But promise me you'll write one later, tell her she doesn't need to worry about you, or something."

Rosie sat back up, sighing a little and reaching for her drink again, glancing over as the waiter arrived with their food.

When their food arrived, Asch went very quiet. Although it wasn't because he was eating his food. No, instead he was barely touching it at all. Talk of his mother had led to thoughts he hadn't entertained in some time. His fork absently poked at a piece of breaded chicken that was slathered in marinara sauce and cheese. While his green eyes stared vacantly towards a window past Rosie's shoulder.

His only response to a plea for a promise was a distracted noise somewhere between a grunt and a hum.

The boy's thoughts must have taken an unpleasant turn or he realized that he what he was doing, because Asch snapped out of it soon enough. Instead he started focusing on eating his food, deciding it dangerous to get too involved in a topic like that. Not to mention too personal. Plus he himself couldn't make a promise like that.

Starting her own meal, with refined politeness, though taking a pause to make sure that Melody wasn't making a horrible mess with her own food, and seeing that her other pokemon were doing okay.

She smiled at the Zorua who Shine seemed to have taken a fascination with.
Luke's new pokemon, and one Rosie had never seen before, it was still so cool to see the little guy.
She pat the little fluff on his head gently, before glancing up to return her attention to her friend.

"You never mentioned your mother before, not like that anyway." She noted, noting the contrary reaction to his previous opinion of his parents. He had seemed to adiment about getting away from them before.
Maybe he was getting homesick.

Asch's brow creased slightly at Rosie's words, confusing him a bit. Just what kind of cretin was this reject? Surely he didn't hate their parents. "What's that supposed to mean?" he asked carefully. "How do you think I feel about her?"

Perhaps Rosie's answer could shed a bit of light on what kind of person this "Luke" was. Tyke felt a bit of tension eminating from his master and turned his blinking gaze towards Asch. Hopefully his master wouldn't get mad again.

Rosie blinked at him, pausing with the fork in her mouth for a few seconds before she pulled it out and lowered it back onto her plate.
"Oh, Well, you just never really talked about her before, You just made it out to be that you didn't get to see your parents that much," She did get the impression he was a little hurt by that, bitter. She never thought that he didn't love his parents, just needed to do things for himself for once.
"I guess, I think you seemed to feel a little lonely." She explained, with a light tilt of her head.

Any anger that had started welling up in Asch, quickly started to simmer down again. He stared at Rosie for a moment before turning his gaze away and letting out a sigh. "That's stupid," he muttered before finally taking a real bite of his food.

There probably wasn't anything Rosie could have said that would make him think positively of that guy. But it disgusted too to think that he could be considered lonely. That was incredibly wishy-washy. Asch knew all too well how busy his parents would get, but that's just how it was.

He then looked back to Rosie. "What do you really think of me?"

A light giggle followed his comment to her answer, but she returned to her food after that.
She was interrupted though when he asked her another question,
It was here that she paused, and looked up at him with a curious, surprised look.

Admittedly theses were some strange question coming from Luke, ones that she didn't really expect from him.
But still, she wasn't just going to brush the question aside.
"What I really think of you?" She repeated, mostly to herself.
"Well, I think you're a good person, with a good heart, even though you don't always seem to want to show it." At this she smiled softly again, looking back down at her plate. "Whats all this about?" She asked, though still with a smile on her face.

Asch listened quietly, mulling over his own thoughts as he took in Rosie's replies. Either she was incredibly naive, was was the most likely case, or the reject might not be so bad after all. Even if he was a decent person, that didn't stop Asch from hating him.

"Nothing," the red head said quickly. "I just wanted to know."

Again he shoved some food in his mouth, as if stuffing his face would mean he couldn't explain further. Since his mouth was now full. And it was impolite to talk with your mouth full, after all.

She shook her head, lowering her spoon back onto the plate. and reaching out for her drink again.
"I like you a lot Luke, I'm glad we met."

She said, with a small amused smile.
He was in a strange mood, she did hope everything was okay.
Since he was eating and not able to reply anytime soon, or till he finished that mouthful, Rosie made a small, pleased noise like a light laugh, and continued eating her own food.

"Mmm! Melody careful little one."
She suddenly yipped, just barely able to turn the Charmander away from the table as the young Charmander sneezed out a ploom of flame.
