Gently looked over, as the other two did, when the evil doer entered the alley. She immediately let out a screech of fear, burying her face against her new savior and shaking against him. Of course, she was shaking because she was trying to silently laugh, and it was very difficult to keep it all in.
The man immediately put his arms around her protectively. Alunite had saved her from getting slapped, at least, but the woman who had tried to hit her still looked furious. She hid behind her boyfriend, though, watching from behind his arm.
Since he was soooo busy protecting his new girlfriend, apparently. She dug her nails into his arm to make sure he didn't forget about her.
Gently, for her part, was doing her best approximation of a terrified young lady.
"Oh please! Oh please don't let him hurt me! He's so strong and scary! You'll stop him, won't you? Please!" She wrapped her arms around the man's neck, dragging him down to her so she could beg him in his ear. He pulled back and she gave him a great cleavage shot, sealing the deal. He nodded his head, then, emboldened by this woman who clearly thought he was hot and heroic and by the booze in his system, stepped forward.
Gently fled behind him, now clinging helplessly to the girl who hated her and would rather give her to the strange man.
"You picking on this lady?" The guy asked, apparently buying in to the classic scenario without knowing it, punching his hand into his palm, his voice slurring just a bit. Gently peered from behind the guy, grinning a silent 'good luck' to Alunite.

'Strong' and 'Scary' were definitively not words he would have used to describe himself, and he couldn't help but head tilt a bit. Oh boy, jealous girlfriend. This smelled like an impending chickfight.
Well, he figured Gently could more than easily hold on for herself. He had another problem coming his way. Well, if such could be called a problem. "Oh yeah ? What do you wanna do about it ?" Alunite huffed. "I bet you punch like a girl."
Oh my.

The big drunk guy looked surprised when the guy who looked like a girl teased him. He didn't have any better come back in his head, though, than that initial surprise so he just let that tumble out of his mouth in an effort to look as tough as possible.
"Yeah? Well you look like a girl," he countered brilliantly. He had his head up, his shoulders back, his broad chest acting like a wall between him and the girls behind him. He didn't seem to notice the hole on the guy's chest. Or maybe he did and wasn't smart enough to wonder about it.
He was protecting his lady. And his new lady, if he was lucky. Though, the first lady wouldn't have to know about that...
The ladies in question were cowering behind him together. Gently was trying so hard not to laugh, but the woman beside her was sure she could see something strange on her face. Her amusement shining in her eyes. This had to be some ploy to steal her boyfriend!
"I don't know what you think you're doing, b***h, but you need to back off my boyfriend!" She said at last, seeing Gently clinging to her man's back like some kind of koala. Gently did not let him go, giving the girl a languid, but sharp, look. She smirked mockingly, then made a show of nuzzling the guy's back. He didn't notice, but it wasn't meant for him.
"I KNEW IT!"
The girl launched herself at Gently, who let out a cackle of a laugh, catching one of the woman's hands before getting slapped in the jaw by the other. Cat fight on.

"Oh, damn. That was genius. Truly. Best insult yet. This is me shaking in my skirt." Alunite didn't sound and neither did he look convinced in the last.
"So how about you get over there, though guy ? That's my prize clinging on you, you know." He huffed.
Though he was momentarily distracted when the chickfight did, indeed, happen. Hooooly crap. He couldn't help it - he laughed.

The man growled at his new opponent, not realizing the danger he was in. He moved toward the long haired opponent, leaving the girls behind him. He thought they were just fine, so focused on his fight that he didn't even hear them cat fighting.
"She's mine now, pipsqueak!"
He charged forward, thinking he was the obvious victor here, swinging his big, meaty fist at Alunite because he had no doubt he could take the guy out. Of course, he didn't know what he was up against.
Gently heard Alunite laughing and shot him a hard glare. It broke, though, and she laughed as the girl tried to claw at her.
"Okay, okay, stop it now! You don't get to rip my eyes from my face," Gently said, kicking the girl hard in the gut. She didn't have enough air to make a sound of protest. All Gently had to do was knock her out and things would be smooth from there.

"Funny, it certainly looked like you had your own, trough I understand. Mine is much prettier than your skank over there."
Alunite didn't feel in danger in the least - why should he ? Gently was another matter, depending on how vicious the other chick decided to be. It was only a matter of getting her an opening for her to power up safely, probably.
Alunite caught the fist as it kept, reflexes enhanced by the chaotic power that was coursing through him. "That's the best you can do ?" The man earned a heavy push backward for his trouble, sending him crashing right against his stumbling girl.
Bam ! Dominos !

"Hey! Don't you talk about my skank," the drunk guy said. His breathless girlfriend let out a screech when she heard that, barreling toward Gently in retaliation. She was bent over laughing, unable to contain it.
She stood up when she saw the woman coming though.
Then the girl and the guy when whirling by them, collapsing to the floor. She her head on the floor and her beefcake boyfriend was on top of her. Gently looked at them, then threw her hands into the air to signal a field goal.
"Whoo!"
She laughed and trotted toward Alunite, powering up when the two were completely distracted. She grinned at her partner in crime, hanging on him languidly.
"I'm your prize, am I? And here I thought you were in it for the energy," she teased, then looked at the duo. The woman wasn't getting up, but the drunk man was struggling to his knees. "Looks like he wants round two."

"Well, can't let him have everything, hm ?" He winked, then watched the man attempt to struggle back on his feet.
"Well, I have just the thing to calm him, don't worry."
He caught the man by the collar, but found himself lacking in sheer strength to lift him - so he just dragged him off and began to drain him. He really, really hoped Painite wasn't looking - he still wasn't too good at it. His hand was shaking and the energy was definitively gathering slower than it would have taken a skilled agent to do so.

Painite watched as Alunite picked up the civilian, her eyes dark. She was very much amused by the whole thing. The whole staged event, as well as watching Alunite muscle the guy out of his energy. She didn't seem to notice his inexperience, or chose not to dwell on it. To her, it was still impressive and fun to watch.
She smiled broadly and then moved over to the girl.
"Your turn, sweetie," she said, kneeling to drain the woman of her energy. "Look at this. We get along much better when you're unconscious, you little tart."
She looked up to see his hand shaking. She gathered energy more often than not, so she moved to help him with his. She stood near him, putting her hand over his to steady it. "Relax. Focus too hard and it just makes it more difficult to draw it out steadily." She smiled at him, wondering if she might get him to blush again.

Alunite wasn't really keeping tabs on Painite now, focused on the energy gathering. He really zoned out while doing it, which didn't work in his favor most of the time...
Next he noticed, she was right there, her hand right on his own, and there we went again, cheeks coloring. Oh crap. "O-Okay."

Painite noticed his cheeks turning red and smiled. It was impossible to miss, considering how close she was. She looked back at his energy gathering efforts, but wasn't really focusing on it.
He was doing fine. Inexperienced maybe, but she didn't think it was anything that really needed a lesson. But she certainly wasn't complaining about the chance to do it.
"You don't look like you're relaxing," she pointed out. She smiled at him, moving just a bit closer. She kissed him on the cheek, knowing full well that it would do absolutely nothing to help him relax. "I'm sure you'll get the hang of it."
She took a step back, letting him finish up with the poor guy, who was mostly forgotten.

....whut.
Alunite very nearly dropped the orb he'd been gathering when the peck on the cheek happened, which would have gotten very messy indeed. But thankfully it got caught, and he was able to finish, letting the man down and raising back upright, pretending his face wasn't on fire.
Good lord.
"Well, I can just turn this one in to you, right ?" Life according to Alunite - turn in energy to whatever captain happened to be around.

Painite smiled at him. The face he was making was priceless, and she wished suddenly that she had a camera to capture it. He looked momentarily stunned and baffled, which was exactly what she was going for. And the color in his cheeks was burningly obvious now.
She smiled innocently at him, nodding her head as he offered her the orb.
"I'll take it for you, sure," she hummed, taking the glowing orb carefully. She treasured each one, and was careful with them like they were made of glass. Or rather, something more precious than that.
She glanced at the two unconscious lovers, who probably had a lot to talk about when they woke up. If they remembered any of it. Whatever the case of the future might be, Painite pulled them close and left them on top of one another. That was all the help they were going to get from her, however.
Looking at Alunite again, she offered him a pleasant smile. "I think that's good for one night."

Poor Alunite. If he only had any idea of how silly he looked... Well, he'd probably look even more silly.
Yes, definitively enough for one evening. Alunite handed over his orb carefully and nodded. "Yeah, I probably should just go now." It was getting pretty late, though he was thankfully almost done with moving.
"Just give me a call if you need me ?" He offered.

Painite smiled and nodded her head.
"I definitely will. It was very nice meeting you, and being your prize for the evening." She chuckled and stored the energy safely away. She waved and bid him good night, at least not embarrassing him further, before she headed off.
She was all smiles, having had a very fun evening. Good sandwich, fun hunting, great new friend and a plethora of interesting new possibilities.
