"Oh Arceus, no," Claire chuckled lightly. Zeus growled as he crossed his arms over his chubby stomach. "Ah.." What was different? "Besides the room? Well... more paperwork, for one thing. I imagine more interesting or meaningful missions - as soon as my hip's healed, that is," to which she gave a rueful glance. Ugh, Galactics... Hopefully she wouldn't see them ever again (if only she could be so lucky), but she really doubted it.
Pushing the thoughts out of her mind, she reached for another slice of pizza. "Mm.. Oh, I'll get a partner eventually, that's something different." Idly she hoped it would be Lucas, whenever he'd be promoted. "Oh, more respect too," she finished with a nod before biting into the pizza.
Artemis continued her soul-wrenching, tear-jerking plz-to-be-feeding-me stare at them both.

“Ha. Well all of that sounds good... except the paperwork. Maybe except the partner too, knowing my luck I’ll get stuck with a complete tosser.” Maybe if he got promoted soon enough he could somehow get partnered with Claire. Partners were supposed to be people who worked well together or something weren’t they? He got on with Claire which was more than he could really say for anyone else here so far. Lucas would probably kill him in his sleep though. Bloody Lucas. Bloody horrible crazy hypocritical, and yet higher than he was in Claire’s esteem.... Well this train of thought was getting him nowhere. He fluffled Tortie’s mane and sighed slightly. Why her? This made everything so much more complicated.
“Anyway,” Aulus went on, recovering himself with a thoughtful scowl, “maybe when I get to wear the white they’ll let me teach a karate class. I think I’d like that.”
Licking her chops, Tortie looked down at Artemis and snorted. She probably wasn’t going to get any more dressing or anything either, but at least her trainer was stroking her; better than nothing.

Claire picked up another piece of pizza and bit into it while Aulus spoke. "Hopefully not," she said with a light chuckle. "I think they try to pair people who either work well together or the partnership would be beneficial in some way." Mmmm, pizza... She tried to ignore the Growlithe. A karate class? "That'd be nice," she said honestly with a smile before finishing off her piece of pizza.
Artemis completely ignored Tortie, too far 'in the zone' to break her concentration now. If she looked pitiful enough...
Claire didn't look at the fire-type as she passed her the crust, which Artemis quickly grabbed and set off to devour it. "I hope they do, that'd be helpful." Then again, any form of self-defense classes were beneficial.

"Yea, well I guess we'll see," Aulus shrugged, "I've got a bit more proving myself to do before they'll even consider me I reckon." It made sense, he knew that, but he hated it as much as he'd hated waiting not to be a trainee anymore. What would happen when he was promoted though? Would he set his eyes on elite? He wasn't sure, not in the least. Finishing of the penultimate piece of pizza Aulus sighed and wiped his hands on his trousers.
"I guess you’ll be wanting some rest,” he predicted, “and really I guess I should head off anyway. Stuff to do before bed and that.” Plus he kind of wanted to get away from her because gah! Why her? Why him? It wasn’t fair. Why couldn’t he have fancied somebody more accessible that he likes less? That would have made his life so much easier, but then life never could be easy for him could it?

"Mmh," was her only reply to his comment about proving himself. A soft frown had etched itself onto her face as she gently rubbed the burn on her hip. Hopefully it would heal sooner rather than later - probably the former, since Alexina kept reminding her to get ice packs. "Oh," she said, eyebrows raising slightly. He'd caught her off-guard with his sudden desire to leave. They had finished though, so it was only natural. "Alright. Thank you for dinner," the agent said with a smile as she got more comfortable in bed. She wasn't really sure what else to say, so she opted for silence. Besides, was there really anything she could say? Not really. She was too sleepy, anyway.
