He smiled happily at her. "So umm what do you like to do?" He looked towards the river. "I like watching those things you call fish. They are intresting. And I like flowers. Do you like flowers?"

"I do!" Apple said cheerfully. "Flowers are beautiful and they smell so nice. When I was little, the little two-leggers used to make crowns of flowers and put them on my head or braid them into my tail. I love it!"

Yori wiggled excitedly while sitting on the ground. "Near where we live there is a meadow full of white flowers! I think they are called daisies. They are so pretty!" He was really starting to warm up to Apple and show his true nature. He thought a moment. "Think I could be pretty with flowers in my tail?"

"Hmmm..." Apple considered him for a moment. "I think you would. Maybe bright golden ones or pink ones...any of those flowers would be perfect for you!"

Yori looked up hearing a bird singing within the trees. "What's that? I know it has pretty sound. But do not know what it is." He scanned the trees with his eyes until they landed upon a bluebird. "There it is! See it!" He motioned with his head. He really wasn't a stupid stallion, he just was not educated. Nobody had ever taken the time to teach him anything. Even the mare who found him as a foal did not have time for him. Yes she was kind to him but she had her own foal to deal with.

"A bluebird," Apple Blossom said following his gaze. "They're pretty. I like the cardinals better for their color and the finches better for their songs. You like the songs they sing?"

"Bird." He looked at the bird. "There are different kinds?" He swayed a bit. "I like their song. It is good. Makes me happy to hear them." He smiled at Apple. "You said you have a mate? What is that? Can you tell me?"

"Many different kinds," Apple said happily. "And yes, Johnny. And well...we spend a lot of our time together, we're a family. Well, us and our children. They're also an important part of our family. He's one of the most important soquili in the world to me."

Yori peers at her with a confused look. "Is having a mate a good thing?" He honestly wasn't sure on everything. He wanted to know everything there was to know but didn't want to push a bunch of questions onto Apple. He gave her a weak smile. Family? He had never had that before. He wondered what it would be like to have a family. Though he wasn't sure if he would be good for such things.

"He's the best for me," she beamed. "He's always so sweet and kind and he worries about me, me and the kids." She nodded, "i couldn't imaging being without him."

He got to his feet then wandered over next to Apple. "Should I find a mate some day?" He wasn't sure if he should. "I would like to maybe meet Apple's family some day." He looked down at her. "Though I'm scared of large groups. Is there many?"

"That's up to you," she said sweetly. "As for my family, well my babies are all grown up and out in the world on their own. So it's just me and my mate...for now."

Apple Blossom giggled, "I hope so. I miss having my babies around and...I've always wanted a big family. Well, as big as we can be." She smiled at the thought of being surrounded by children and her children's children.

Yori thinks a bit. "I don't know if I will have children. I don't even know how to get children." He looks at her a bit embarrassed. "I feel like an idiot. I seem to not know anything." He sighs a bit. "Sides who would want me? I'm not well um normal."
