Veldrin the Shadow When E Rock tried grabbing for the ropes, Major Devastation would attempt to grab his opponent's right ankle and try to drag him back toward the center of the ring. If successful, the champ would try to continue working over the right leg of the street thug by attempting to slam E Rock's kneecap into the mat. *Major Devastation had taken a page out of E Rock's book as he slammed E Rock's knee to the mat. Instinctively, E Rock clutched his right knee.*

As his opponent clutched his right knee, the Marine would look to continue his assault on the limb with another stomp to the side of the wounded joint, and should the stomp hit its mark, Major would then attempt to grab E Rock's ankle, roll him over onto his gut and place the "gangster's" legs into a figure-four position before attempting to lock in his submission finisher...the Death Lock STF better known as THE UNFORGIVEN!

When E Rock began trying to make a break for the ropes, Major would try to maintain his grip on his opponent's leg and use it to drag him back toward the middle of the ring.
If he was able to get the street thug back in the middle of the ring, the champ would take another shot at trying to lock in The Unforgiven.

It would appear that E Rock is a slippery little b*****d. He was able to once again avoid the potential submission hold when he rolled out of the setup for The Unforgiven.
Devastation had a fire in his eyes after his submission attempt was thwarted, and began stalking his opponent, waiting for him to get up. Once E Rock had managed to get nearly back to a vertical base, the champ would try to come charging at his opponent, and while it looked as though he was going for a possible running big boot, Devastation would instead try for a low dropkick to the same knee that he had been unrelentingly working over.

With nobody home, the momentum from Devastation's dropkick carried him between the middle and bottom ropes, but the champ was able to catch the middle rope on the way through to avoid going splat on the concrete floor.
Since both men were outside of the ring, the referee began his 10-count, and as the count began, Major would try to guide E Rock back to his feet in order to attempt to whip him knees-first into the steel steps.

BAM! The IC champion slammed back first into the steel steps, but with E Rock's bum knee, there wasn't enough force behind the impact to dislodge the steps.

Slowly, he limped his way toward Major, got down on his knees, and tried to choke out the champ.*

Veldrin the Shadow ((Could you possibly clarify that a bit? How are you trying to choke me?)) ((My fault)) *E Rock got down on his knees and tried to wrap his two hands around the champ's fragile throat. Then he would try to squeeze and choke the life out of the former Marine. The referee, of course, would try to step in to save the Major.*

When E Rock grabbed the champ's throat and started blatantly choking him, Major Devastation would try to grab his opponent's arms and use his raw power to pry the thug's hands away from his throat. By this point, the referee's ring out count had reached the count of 6.
If Devastation was successful in powering out of the illegal chokehold, he would attempt to retaliate with a headbutt between the eyes before trying to slide back into the ring, hopefully in time to avoid getting counted out.
