"Darnit! I am always late to everything." Farodon knew he should have just stayed in the common room.... And he would have too if Almeda hadnt come down and caught him just sitting there. "Oh my little Faro............ Why are you sitting in here? You are missing all the fun!" Almeda didnt say it out loud but knowing some of the 7th years that were involved, well fun might not quite be the right word..... "Stop fretting so much I bet theres plenty to do. Ive never been to an egg hunt before!" Farodon couldnt help but be pulled in my her. She just had this grab you personality. Not annoyingly so or anything just........

"OH dear!" That was all she could think of to say. Because as soon as they stepped onto the grounds she saw one of the biggest spiders, with students all around it. "Almeda? What is it? Did you forget something?" The Farodon looked to where she was staring wide eyed... "Aguamenti" That was the best he could think of in this situation. What was going on here? Had the spider wondered onto the grounds. Why were the 7th years standing there? Thats when he noticed it.... A few pieces of egg on the spider. Was this their idea of a joke? "Almeda, its part of the egg hunt and games. I think anyway."

Almeda jumped to action, she was trying to remember some of her spells. She had done really well in class and practicing on her own but to actually use them was a different thing all together. Almeda used the Hover charm to try moving the thing out further, it appeared as if it was going to eat another first year trying to get her spells in order....

(hope its ok that I seem to be hogging, not sure when Ill be able to get back in here)
Farodon looked around, there just had to be something close by. He tried casting Incendio, but didnt really hit the spider, instead he hit a tree close by. Although it still had some affect. A branch fell onto the spider knocking a little more of the colored egg shell to the ground.

Almeda finally got her self together, "Petrificus Totalus!" She yelled. And it froze, but not for long. She wasnt sure if it had actually frozen or if it just paused to take in what was going on. There were spells coming at it from every direction. Everyone seemed intent on making this poor spider go thru every spell anyone could think of. Some of them she had heard the older students using but did not believe they were actually learning them yet. She could only imagine them listening as older siblings were at home practicing spells and charms.

Clarissa frowned. She had missed her chance to get an early start! She gave a curt wave to the boys she had been talking to, and ran off. What was she looking for again? Eggs? For awhile she searched, to no avail, only to hear a loud noise coming from her left. "What the...?" Looking up, she saw what looked to be a giant egg. They were told to take it down. "Petrificus Totalus!" she aimed the spell at the egg's giant feet, crossing her fingers and hoping it would work.

HP: 459
The big egg let out what had to be the world's loudest whimper, stomping around like a petulant child just told it wasn't allowed to have a cookie before dinner because it would spoil his appetite. Most of the spells seemed to bounce off without much effect, as they might against any magical creature, but that didn't seem to keep the egg from throwing a hissy fit. Every time a spell touched it, it tried to run away, only to be stopped and spun around by another light tap from a different, ultimately useless spell.
It was only when it found itself meeting the ground, thanks to a spell thrust at him by the collected Dorian, that it seemed to come to a dead stop. It stuck the enchanted poultry product on the lower portion of the leg, effectively knocking it off its dis-proportioned feet. Rocking quickly got it upright again, where it froze, seemingly stunned.
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then, softly, cracking noises echoed over the grounds, the smallest of chips appearing on the surface of its colorful egg shell. While other pieces had come off and quickly regenerated themselves, this crack remained as proof that the creature could indeed be beaten. The egg, however, wasn't pleased with the new crack in its lovely shell, turning its round body on the attacker and thundering his way.
REVENGE.
Ego, chuckling, conjured himself a chair, motioning for Sophie to do the same to they might further enjoy the show together. His Ravenclaw companion seemed less pleased with the progression of things, however, offering the boy a glare. "That thing is going to hurt someone," she informed him, "and I really don't like the idea of getting expelled because you killed a couple kids during an egg hunt!"
"Oh relax- it's all been planned! The egg can't step on kids. If it does, it has no choice but to recoil and take damage instead!"
"Well why didn't you tell them that before?" demanded the increasingly displeased seventh year lady.
"No one asked."
-----------------------------------------
- From this point on, all rolls of a TEN will result in the egg attempting to STEP ON YOU.
- The egg will bounce back and fall over, so you will be allowed to roll for ADDITIONAL damage. Consider it a critical hit of sorts, only... self-induced.
- after rolling a ten, generate another random number between 10-20 to decide FALL DAMAGE done to the egg.
- All the other rules still apply.
- You may join at any time.

Almeda looked around and realized the 7th years were actually sitting there WATCHING them fight this huge creature. She could barely contain her anger and spurted out a spell. Any spell. "Rictusempra!" She really hadnt meant to tickle the darn thing. She actually blushed a little at ehr mistake.
(so if I read that right, this is actually damage to me then right?)

"Almeda! What was that? Do you plan to tickle it to death?!" But for all his trying Farodon wasnt doing much better. He just couldnt think. What was a spell he could use. He wouldnt admit it out loud but he was really glad it had been Almeda and not he that had made an error like that. She was so much better at dealing with people than he was. Although no one else seemed to even know they were here. A small thought he was happy for. "Wingardium Leviosa". He knew he was needing to concentrate. He watched as the rock flew into the side of the spider. He breathed out in relief realizing he had hit it and had been holding his breath.

A few more students joined in the fight when Quillan stalled. He barely recognized Ezra, the pissy Gryffindor, come up besides him until he was attacking the egg. Its shell remained one, the only thing that they were managing to do it to it was cause hairline fractures or nothing at all! We don't seem to be making much progress... Just as he thought that, a large crack formed on the shell of the egg. With his spirits renewed, Quillan moved into action once again.
A somewhat bright idea came to him at that moment. There was something in the egg, right? So wouldn't that make it some sort of... chest? And the shell was some sort of lock? "Alohomora!"

Clover went and left the Hufflepuff tower to see what the whole Egg hunt thing was about. It seem like an enstering idea but she rather be with her family for the holladay. She sortof wonderd off on her own away from the goup to just sit and watch. "I wish I'd of brot my sketch pad this is an intresting drawing operrtunity." she thought to herself.
Arona face palmed upset. "It was today I can't beleve I forgot about this thing since that Seventh year guy is also from Gryiffindor." she said to herself and whent down to where everyone in the egg hunt were.

Almeda was seeing alot of Gryffindors! She was uplifted and excited about that. She knew the Griffs would get the job done... She decided to kind of keep an eye on some of the others and see which spells seemed to be doing the most harm.

Farodon looked around and didnt see Almeda anymore. And even tho they werent really friends, he felt a little uncomfortable without her by him. He didnt know anyone out on the lawn now. He looked back at 'thing' and wondered what WOULD work. Nothing anyone was doing really had any effect. Then he remembered one that might do the trick. Part of what was keeping this THING out of reach was its legs. "Locomotor Mortis!" he yelled the spell. Then realized he had closed his eyes. Opened them to see if it had any effect..........

Dorian was a bit surprised that his tripping spell had worked on the giant egg, and whooped in delight and pumped his fist in triumph. then he stopped and glanced around, thankfully it seemed like no one had noticed. Now a bit more sure of himself, and seeing the other kids hitting the egg with spells and rocks, Dorian slipped out of the tree and advanced his wand ready in his left hand.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" He yelled at a large rock and levitated it over to slam into the egg.
