Shadrach - He is a good mannered soq and can be really emotional but he tries to hide it. Shad also tries to ignore and hide the fact that he is extremely romantic and humorous. He is also loyal and is rather smart in the common sense area. Temper: Female - Empathetic Male - Loyal Which basket are you entering For: basket 1 Prompt #: 1 Prompt Response: YukinaShe had been running around outside when it began to storm, she didn't care though because she was having fun. Her mother did seem to care though because she was outside and seemed to be looking for something when Yukina ventured into the forest. "Shadrach!" Reii Yuki was outside calling for her brother. Yukina just thought that her brother was outside as well, she didn't know her mother had watched her run into the forest. Yukina had heard stories about how dangerous the forest really could be, she wanted to find it all out on her own though. She had been running through the forest, weaving through the trees and because of the lightning that flashed before her in the sky, she didn't see that the ground ended and there was a fall ahead. She tumbled over the edge, no chance to save herself. Luckily for her, there was a small ledge near the bottom and she landed on it. Her right leg ached, she hoped that she didn't break it, she loved to run! "Momma! Daddy!" She called out in panic to the only two people she could turn to in crisis. Because her mother's vision was poor, she had a better sense of hearing and heard her baby calling out for her. Reii took off at a full run and following the cries from her baby, she reached the ledge where she went over. Sadly, she couldn't reach her from the top so she had to find a different way down. There was a decline in the forest that ended close to where her baby was, she carefully made her way down the path but once she reached the end, she still couldn't reach her baby. "Move out of the way Yukina." She urged her baby girl before she moved back a little bit and jumped from where she was to her little baby girl. "Momma!" Yukina wobbled over to her and nuzzled against her legs. "How did you know it was me when you called me by my brother's name?" Yukina was really upset because she was in trouble and even though her mother didn't see really well, she knew it was her. "Because you like to venture off, I'm sorry that I called you by your brother's name." Reii felt really bad because she had slipped up again but she felt so relieved that her little Yukina was safe. "It's okay mommy, I know you get us mixed up, I am used to it. Sometimes I think you really are calling for Shadrach instead of me." She seemed to giggle after the last statement about her thinking her mother was really calling out for her brother. Reii looked around to try and find a different path for her little one to take, after peering around she found a slope leading up to the top. There was a small piece of ledge leading to the slope that was close to the ledge where they were. "Yukina jump to the small piece to your right and then go up the slope." Yukina did as her mother told her, she made the jump with ease, but her leg did hurt again when her hoof hit the ground. She ignored the pain and made it to the slope and tried to make her way to the top but was struggling. Reii noticed that her little girl was having trouble and jumped from the ledge to the slope, it was easy for her because she was an adult. She nudged her little girl up the slope and helped her get out of the forest. Once back home, Yukina rested right beside her mother and wondered if her mother would still get them confused in the future. She also thought about how it would end up affecting her in the future. ShadrachThis male was playing out in the yard with her sister when she decided to go off and do something on her own. He watched her as she was running around chasing butterflies. "Yukina, go get your brother, I need to speak to you both." Reii was only a few feet away from Shadrach but she still couldn't make out that it was indeed him and not his sister. Sometimes he was a little annoyed because he couldn't get their names right but he understood it was because of her vision. "Okay mother." He said and then ran off to get her sister and bring her back to their mother. He got his sister to stop chasing the butterflies and brought her back to their mother. "Okay you two, you should understand that sometimes I can't help mixing you two up." Reii figured that they needed another explanation about her sight. Both Shadrach and Yukina were standing before her mother but Yukina kept bumping into him and laughing as she spun around. Reii was loosing her patience because they were not listening to her. "Shadrach stop behaving in such a manner!" Reii raised her voice and looked at Yukina which made her giggle that much harder. Shadrach had enough, he huffed and moved away from his annoying sister that still wanted to have her adventure time. She didn't seem to care anything about what their mother had to say. The fact that mom called him out for being the troublesome one really made him mad. It was one thing to get them mixed up but to make it seem like he was the one causing trouble..he wondered off on his own and didn't care if they looked for him or not. Shad was resting by a rotting log, trying to cool down before he had to go back. Reii had sorted things out with Yukina and then wondered off to find Shadrach. "Shadrach, I'm sorry son, you know how my sight is, please forgive me." Reii seemed to be begging for her son to forgive her for her mistakes. Shadrach sighed at his mother and nodded in acceptance. "I forgive you, I assume you talked to her about it all." Shadrach got to his feet and walked over to his mother. He was extremely upset but now he is a lot calmer and more patient with his mother. He began to wonder if because of the name confusion if he would be less patient with her mother and develop some sort of anger problem in the future. Reii was oblivious to what was running through her son's mind, she nodded to answer his question but then walked back, assuming he would follow in her foot steps. Do you have any plots in mind?: Yes, I love to rp and with their personalities it would be a lot of fun to rp with family. Some of the plots that I have in mind revolved around the parents, like around 2 or 3 and a few involving her brother to. Anything else?: Concerning plot work and the like, I can be reached on aim if I win one of the baskets. Aside from that I am in love with the parents and congratulations on the breeding. Also I want to say thank you for hosting the contest!

He is also loyal and is rather smart in the common sense area. Temper: Female - Empathetic Male - Loyal Which basket are you entering For: 2 Prompt #: Two Prompt Response: Yukina Yukina was rather lonely because she was the only one in the cave at the time. She had woke up and realized that she was alone, after calming down, she realized that maybe they were just getting food to eat. She got up and walked outside of the cave and looked down at the waves. The smell of the salt water made her so much more calm. Her soft eyes continued to peer down at the waves crashing against the shore. The white foam and the alluring sounds of the waves made her relax. She wanted to stand there all day and just peer down at the waves. Dolphins could be seen in the distance but she ignored them, the only thing that had her attention was the rolling waves of the ocean. One day she hoped that she could venture down to the ocean and just stand in the shallow waters, the waves crashing into her legs. The sun setting in the background turning the waves a different hue but none the less magnificent. The scene played out into her mind, she was focusing on the future and the waves below that she didn't hear her parents return. She had a fear about being swept away by the waves even though they are so wonderful to her. Seagulls flapped their wings and went passed her above her, she drew her attention to them but once they were out of view she looked at the grass under her hooves. She wanted to feel the water against her hooves so badly. Her mind was made up, fear or not she wanted to experience the feel of the water. Her mother and father had returned but ventured down to the water and was peering up at Yukina. She smiled down at them, she wasn't going to let her fear plague her anymore. Her legs seemed to be moving on their own as they raced her down to the water. She didn't stop though and seemed to just run through the water left from the wave that rolled in. The water was a nice mixture of cold and warm, it was just right to her. She finally stopped in front of her mom and dad, she was a little nervous about the incoming wave. She closed her eyes and waited for the impact, a strong rush of water hit her legs and it felt wonderful until it started to pull her back with it. She immediately got out of the water and hid behind her mother. She didn't want to be taken away from her mom or dad and figured it would just be best for her to admire it from afar. She could just say that she felt the water from the ocean and leave it at that. Shadrach Shadrach had woken up before his sister and noticed that their parents were already awake and was leaving the cave. He begged them to let him go with them, they agreed because they assumed they would return before Yukina woke. Shadrach was having fun enjoying time with his parents, even if they were just going to get some apples to eat. He followed after them joyfully but of course he just wanted to talk to them. There was nothing in mind that he could say though, he followed behind them in silence for once. Reii and Jericho had gathered a lot of apples for them to eat as well as Shadrach. They had planned on returning later in the afternoon to get apples for Shadrach and Yukina but Shadrach beat them to the punch. Once the apples were gone, they returned to find Yukina awake and staring down at the water. Reii wanted to go down to the water as well and Shadrach followed. Jericho followed after Reii and Shadrach but encouraged Yukina to follow him down to the water. Apparently she heard him because before he reached the bottom of the path, she was there beside him and racing to the water. Shadrach was standing beside his mother but once his father reached where they were standing, he moved to his side. "Go play in the water with your sister." Jericho suggested it but once he saw Yukina panic at the waves crashing against her, he just had to chuckle. He then rephrased the suggestion and looked down at his son. "Show your sister how to play in the water." Jericho smiled to himself as Shadrach nodded his agreement and walked over to the water. He loved the feel of the waves against him, the tug and pull of the waves as they retreated. He felt like he was a part of the water and loved to just stand in the shallow waters of the ocean. Soon after he got into the shallow waters, a wave came rolling in. Of course they were small waves but he didn't feel so small when he was standing in the water. He felt as big as the water itself, he became a part of the ocean. Of course it was all in his mind but it didn't change the relaxed feeling and peace of mind he got from standing in the water. The water was cool but a little warm and he thought it was a perfect day to swim if he could. One day he would learn to swim in the ocean, it was a dream of his. He seemed to get lost in the rhythm of the ocean, rolling in and pulling back out. When he opened his eyes, his father was standing beside him in the water. Shad glanced around and realized that it was later than when they arrived. Just as he realized this fact, his mother was telling them it was time to get some more food. Shad reluctantly pulled away from the water and followed his mother. Not long after they made it back to the cave, Jericho came back as well. Reii and Jericho let the kids follow them to get some more apples but then it was back to the cave to get warm. Do you have any plots in mind?: Yes, I love to rp and with their personalities it would be a lot of fun to rp with family. UserName: jinxgirl5 How many Soq Do You have?: None. (Total newbie here XD Usually I hang at Modifoxes, but some of them have Soqs and I've always been interested!) Name: Silas. (Male; if this basket was supposed to be female then the name will be Shiori.) Personality: Silas likes to find problems and puzzle out solutions to them. He's not a brainiac, by any means, and even if he figures out a problem he can still fail to execute the solution because he likes to do things on his own. It's hard for him to accept help until he's achieved at least the minimum level of success.
On the dark side Silas can be impatient and snappish when he's really trying to concentrate, and creative pride can make him stubborn. Use caution if you're looking for a shoulder to cry on, since he can also be horribly blunt. When going through a problem-solving phase he also has a tendency to be impulsive and distracted.
On the bright side Silas is quite a sweetheart. He's got a relaxed calm that would perfectly balance an impatient or reckless personality. Teasing or barbed witisms hardly seem to affect him; if anything it seems to just amuse him. He's loyal and protective of his friends and family, and is a solid rock of reliability. He doesn't like to see others upset, and does his best to tries to make things right.
Silas is a bit of a momma's boy, and will do anything to make Reii Yuki happy. He also takes delight in teasing his sister, like any brother would. He respects his father and loves him as family, though it's hard to tell what he thinks of him personally. (Personality will be the same if a girl, though a bit less of a momma’s girl.) Temper: Bright Which basket are you entering For: Both, but this entry is for basket 1 Prompt #: 1 Prompt Response: Silas was deep in thought.
His place of choice for thinking was a bluff a bit too small to be called a cliff, the gray stone worn smooth from years of winds and waves pounding it. In all but the foulest of weather the waves were gentle enough that they didn't leave the smooth stone treacherously slick with sea spray. The sound of water breaking against rocks and shore, the wind blowing, and the calling of sea birds all twined into a complicated harmony that made Silas feel so calm and peaceful when he was here.
The colt's mind was currently on his mother. He knew her eyesight was horrible, but that's how his mother had always been. It made no sense to him why she got all flustered over it, or so embarrassed when she mistook him for Shiori. Silas liked it best when Momma was confident and happy, so how could he help make this happen? He and Shiori looked a lot alike and certainly smelled alike. So maybe....
Silas' ears pricked forward as he stared intently down at the shore with a half-formed idea in his mind. Then, with no visible warning, he turned and bolted down to the shoreline.
Ten minutes later, and the starry colt was still digging around in the sand. A respectable pile of shells lay off to the side, and slowly grew as Silas pulled more out of the damp ground. Finally he deemed his work complete and sat back to look at the results with pride. That's when he found he'd hit a snag...
How was he supposed to get the shells into his tail and mane?
"Dang," Silas muttered, shifting through the shells and staring at them so intently he might have been hoping they'd form a mouth and start giving him instructions. It couldn't be that hard, Momma and Dad both had their own set of ornaments after all! Maybe if he could find something to tie them in with...
Silas looked up from the shells and the first thing his eyes fell upon was a pile of seaweeds, a common item that was always getting washed ashore. Excellent! He trotted over and picked it up carefully with his mouth, wrinkling his nose a little as the strong but not entirely unpleasant taste of salt hit him. It took what felt like hours to tie the shells into the strings of seaweed! Silas had to work slowly, or the damp weed could break and ruin the entire string. Several times he had to stop and find more seaweed or shells. Maybe it did take hours.
He was intensely proud of the end result, no matter how it might have looked. Getting the strings of shells tied in had proved as difficult as tying the shells in in the first place, but it was doable. Silas tried an experimental trot down the beach and was rewarded further as a gentle tinkling sound accompanied him.
"Victory is sw~eet," he crowed, flapping his wings to make the air move and listening, with intense satisfaction, to the resulting clinking noise. Sure his technique could use some work, but for a first time this wasn't bad at all! Eddie would probably have something to say about it, but all Silas could think about was how this might help Momma tell him and Shiori apart!
With that thought firmly fixed in his mind, the colt charged back up the beach and towards the cave his family called home. Do you have any plots in mind?: None yet, but I do so love to plot >:3 I’m open to any plots with parents and the other sib. It’s one of the best ways to get acquainted with a new character, to me : ) Anything else?: Silas will always wear something jingly, preferably seashells or things he finds on the beach, even if it’s not in the art. I used Silas and Shiori in both prompts. Using a name gives it a more personal touch, and I think it’s better than saying “brother”, “sister”, or “sibling”.

UserName: jinxgirl5 How many Soq Do You have?: None Name: Shiori. (Female; if this basket was supposed to be male then the name will be Silas.) Personality: Shiori doesn't have much patience to her name. Everything seems to move to slow to her, so more often than not you'll find her doing some activity on her own and waiting for slowpokes to catch up. The only others who can tell her she's not allowed to do something and actually have her obey are her parents and brother. (Sometimes.)
On the dark side Shiori has quite a temper that's easy to spark. She is extremely proud and thinks she can do everything on her own, a trait fueled by her impatient nature. She very stubborn, to the point where proof that she is wrong can be staring her in the face and she will keep saying she was right. She may also do things out of spite rather than any sort of personal drive.
On the bright side Shiori is quite forgiving, and her boughts of temper never last long. She is always willing to help others out, and once she's on your side you couldn't ask for a stauncher ally. She will always be upfront and honest with others, even if it gets her in trouble. She is also incredibly protective of those she perceives as weaker, whether she knows them or not, and will always come to their defense.
Shiori loves both her parents equally and respects them. She also loves her brother a great deal, even when he's being annoying. (Personality will be the same if a male.) Temper: Impatient Which basket are you entering For: Both, but this entry is for basket 2 Prompt #: 2 Prompt Response: "Come on, Silas" Shiori called, underscoring her impatience by huffing and stamping her hoof down on the sparse grass and sandy soil. She'd rather go down to the shore herself, but her parents insisted there be someone to supervise at all times if either of the foals wanted to play by the ocean, or that they went together.
They had spouted off reasons like undertow and rogue wave, and something about how Shiori didn't take the risks seriously, and-, 'Blah blah blah,' Shiori thought crossly. Just cause she'd wanted to play in the waves and that slightly biggish wave knocked her down. There was no proof it would have carried her off if Dad hadn't been there, and Shiori was positive she'd have made it back on her feet. But nope! Just one measly little incident, and it was like she was banned from fun forever!
And the ocean was, like, the place to be! It energized her when she was feeling sluggish and calmed her down when she thought she'd burst with contained energy. There was just so much stuff going on under the waves too, if anyone stopped to actually look. Huge fish-looking things that made Dad seem tiny in comparison, birds diving into the water to snatch at food near the surface, pools left behind by the receding tides filled with bright little fish and coral.
Not to mention the ocean itself! Shiori knew first-hand how strong the ocean was; she'd gotten a good measure of the strength of the currents the day that waved knocked her down. And that was just a baby wave, compared to how high the water was being whipped up in that storm last night! Shiori couldn't wait 'til she was strong enough to fly in one of those, the view had to be spectacular!
The tinkling music of seashells hitting each other broke into her thoughts. "Finally," she said, looking around to give Silas a long-suffering look that spoke for just what she thought of his speed. And Silas, being Silas, just returned her look with one so full of wicked humor that she was almost positive he moved this slow on purpose. Rather than respond to the look, which would only have amused him more, Shiori tossed back her mane and took off towards the shore.
When the ocean called, she always answered! Do you have any plots in mind?: None yet, but I do so love to plot >:3 I’m open to any plots with parents and the other sib. It’s one of the best ways to get acquainted with a new character, to me : ) Anything else?: I used Silas and Shiori in both prompts. It gives it a more personal touch, and I think it’s better than saying “brother”, “sister”, or “sibling”.

UserName: Depawsit How many Soq Do You have?: 0 - I have the worst luck when it comes to Soq ;P Name :Kaine [ M ] Iva [ F ] For Prompt sake I will use the male persona. Personality:
As if to take a page from his Mother's book, Kaine is very slow. Though this isn't to say he isn't smart. In fact Kaine is really sharp, even though at times it may take a bit, he is very good at picking up on things that others might not put much or any thought into. He loves looking at things through a different set of eyes, as though he were a witness to the event instead of a 'partner in crime' so to speak.
Kaine is a very tender-hearted individual, he loves to do everything in his power to help everyone around him even if that means giving the shirt off of his back. He's the type of individual who doesn't know how to say 'no'. He also has real trouble differentiating the good deeds from the bad ones, simple because 'if something helps someone, how can it be bad?' In the end this causes an infinite number of problems for him, and very few rewards. Kaine doesn't do the things he does for the rewards, and often just the joy of knowing he made someone else's day better is more than enough to put the pep in his step. He tries his hardest not to let his negative effects rub off into his family life but sometimes that can prove to be quite difficult.
Even though he is very sharp, Kaine is extremely gullible. Almost dangerously gullible. Unlike other situations where when given the after thought, he realizes what is going on, his loving heart prevents him from seeing the bad in others. Even if someone is blatantly in his face lying to him in order to exploit him, the young male will never catch on and instead will insist that there has to be something more he can do.
Kaine's determination to prove to his family that he can be a strong, admiring adult can be a bit overbearing at times. He tends to go out of his way to prove to both his parents and his sibling that he is capable of things that they may think are out of his reach. Such as flying at a young age, which can often lead to blunders. Or simply gathering yummy delights for him family, which while helpful, isn't always the safest option. Kaine has a strong will and doesn't tend to let things get to him, but seeing his family in distress through his own fault always lowers the colt's esteem and he tends to reprimand himself more than his parents do, following the thinking that it will make him better.
Temper: Sensitive Which basket are you entering For: #1 Prompt #: #1 Prompt Response:
The colt sat transfixed at a small butterfly as it fluttered effortlessly across the empty space in front of him. It's wings were so beautiful, and it's fluid movement made flying look so easy! The simple thought of fluttering his own wings gave him a familiar twitch as he fought the urge to prove he could do things for himself. As usual his mother had noticed his determined demeanor and had decided to step in. Of course, she had once again called the colt by his siblings name, but Kaine had far outgrown the confusion his mother had between the two of them. At first he had summed the confusion up to the two siblings similar appearances, but as the two grew so did their slight differences, and his theory fell flat. The young colt had been highly offended at his mother's inability to tell the difference in her own foals in the beginning, but he quickly outgrew it as he caught onto her constant embarrassment. Surely something else was to blame - something he couldn't SEE. The thought drove him crazy and still does, but his offense of the name confusion has long since vanished leaving the colt with an inside joke to share with his Mom. One only the two of them could share, and no one else was allowed in. The idea of a secret club made the colt all the more excited and with a huge hop the colt bounded over to his mother and rubbed his head against her leg tenderly.
"Don't worry Dad. I won't fly yet, but one day I will!"
The whisper to his mother was more than enough to secretly let her know she had confused the two foals again, and also a loving reminder that he felt it was humorous and not at all disappointing.
"I love you Mom."
The words were low toned, so that only the two of them could hear it, but also level enough so that his mother could not detect his true sense of emotion. He was worried about her, and his mind was once again trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle.
"And I promise. One day i'll fix you."
Do you have any plots in mind?: I would like for him/her to meet with someone who will use and abuse him/her for their own purposes, which would eventually dawn on the foal, though not through his own thoughts. I would also like for the foal to have trouble flying [ given he inherits wings ], since he seems so proud of himself I love the idea of giving him trials to work through. I'm sure I could think of more given the time to get to know the family more, but at the moment those are two I can think of really wanting to do ^^ Anything else?: I'm a newbie but i've lurked Soq since forever and a day ago - I just have horrible luck with winning things - given the chance I would love to be a part of this family.

UserName: xxR o z e How many Soq Do You have?: I have one. xD Name : Thalassa; A Goddess of the Sea // Muireach; Scottish Gaelic meaning 'Sea Warrior' Personality: (F) Although she is polite to a fault, Thalassa is very forward, and very much a flirt. She also doesn't believe in personal space, at all. She is very smart, and quick to speak or act before she thinks. However, she never offers any personal information, believing it impolite to speak of her own life. Though she loves her family, she does prefer to linger by the ocean and daydream more than she enjoys company.
(M) Quiet, lovable Muireach is exactly what his name suggests; a warrior. Despite being smaller than his sibling, he has sworn to protect his family no matter what. Like his father, he would rather listen to others and try to help. His mother, however, is his first priority. He always looks out for her, and gently corrects her when she gets mixed up about things. Temper: (F) Whimsical // (M) Protective Which basket are you entering For: basket 2 Prompt #: #2 Prompt Response:
"Don't be out too long!"
Thalassa smiled, throwing a quick nod back at her parents as she trotted out of their cave home. It was nearing twilight, and the sky glowed in dark blues, pinks, and purples. The ocean before her was calm, reflecting the sky back on itself. She had said she was going to visit with a Mer friend, but she had no intention to bother him today.
Today, she only wanted to lounge by the softly lapping waves and far away calls of birds. Today she wished to be alone with her thoughts for a while.
When she reached the water's edge, the cool waves slapping at her hooves, a deeply contented sigh escaped her. "I wish I had fins instead of wings," she whispered, taking a deep breath, the salty air stinging her nostrils and lungs. Her mind played with that idea, imagining herself playing under the waves with other ocean dwellers.
"Thalassa!"
Her father's voice shattered her dream world, though she didn't mind. That was what happened when reality came back to you, right? Smiling, she turned, noticing a cerulean coloured shell flecked with pink and silver. After a moment, she bent and picked it up, intending to present the beautiful thing to her mother as a gift as she trotted back to her home. Her family smiling at her from just inside.
Do you have any plots in mind?: Of course! Cave Dweller He/she loves his/her home! Other foals just don't get it. They ask why, sometimes even make fun of him/her for it. It doesn't bother him/her, though. He/she would just like to meet others that lived like him/her. (Friend plot)
I have wings, but I'm scared... Yay, flying lessons! Wait... he/she isn't so good at this. No matter how many times he/she tries, he/she just can't seem to get it right. (Family teaching plot)
What're you up to? (Adult) Finally, adulthood! He/she is now out on his/her own. Now he/she wants to find love and maybe start his/her own family. However, any mare or stallion that wants to be with him/her will have to really prove it, as he/she has very specific thoughts about love.
Anything else?: I like pie. :3

UserName: Yousei Akki How many Soq Do You have?: 1 Name : Sadalbari (Name of a Star in the Pegasus constellation, means lucky star of the excellent one) Personality: Sadalbari is a very excitable though brash colt. He doesn't pause to wonder what is on the other side of the cove, he races over to find out himself. Sadal loves stories about heroes and villains and fancies himself as a Prince in the making. Temper: Challenging Which basket are you entering For: The Male Prompt #: Number One: Your Mothers eyesight is very poor so she often calls you by your siblings name by accident or generally gets the two of you confused. When she realizes it she apologies. even as a foal you can tell it gets her flustered or generally embarrassed by it. you can also tell that she really is trying but she cant help it. how dose this make you feel, how do you react and what do you think this will shape you into? Prompt Response: Sadalbari could not contain his mirth. After having been called by his sisters name, he gave a playful little bounce around his mothers pretty form. "Hee hee!" He giggled softly, though he did not correct her. Sandal in truth, found it funny the way his mother mistook him for his sister. It was like a fun game to play. He bowed his head, his short fluffy mane ruffled in the oceans breeze as he allowed his excitement from his amusement to fill him with frolicking energy. Around and around he scampered, giggling and playing the little game of pretending to be his sister. He pitched his voice a little softer, but though his mothers eyes may have been weak, he knew that once she clearly heard him speak she would know his voice. The game would be short lived, as it always was. It still made Sandal happy to play such a silly game with his mother though. He knew it embarrassed her, but it did not stop him from lunging and lovingly headbutting her shoulder afterwords. "Aw Momma. I love you so much. I'll be my sister if'n it makes you smile!" He would always promise her afterwords. "Smile momma smile!" He would insist with another playful headbutt. Sandal knew that his mother meant nothing ill in the mix up, so he was adamant about ensuring that she knew that it changed nothing in the way he felt for her.
If nothing else, Sandal knew that as he grew up, this would help him accept the small imperfections of others around him. He loved his mother so much, and he knew that she was a wonderful mare. If someone so pretty and so wonderful could have such a flaw...then it made him wonder what other beautiful things could he find behind the flaw's of others? It was teaching him that true perfection was comprised of shortcomings. It also meant that no matter whatever happened in the future, he would be able to accept his own flaws as simply being a part of what made him whole. Do you have any plots in mind?: I would love to have him engage on some 'adventures' with his sister. Perhaps get lost once or twice. I would love for him to have a run in with someone to scare him. And a rival! Someone for him to compete against. Anything else?: I am online daily and always easily found on Aim ^_^ I am a RP addict, have well over 50 characters online, and I RP them all! Hmm. I own my own shop, but again, I always have time for RP.
UserName: Yousei Akki How many Soq Do You have?: One Name : Slypanthy Personality: Dreamy and gentle, Slypanthy likes spending hours staring at the sea and listening to it. She finds something profound and beautiful in these natural settings. Slyph is reserved and not quick to leap into action. She prefers to stand back and let others make the choices while she merely follows. Slyph believes there is a deeper connection to the world that can be found if one just listens hard enough. Temper: Spiritual Which basket are you entering For: The Female Prompt #: Prompt 2: Both your mother and father like the ocean and due to this, decided to raise you and your sibling by the ocean in your mother's cave. Do you enjoy the ocean as much as they do and if so, what do you like about it? Do you like to play in the ocean or do you prefer to just admire it? If you do not care for the ocean like your parents do, why? Prompt Response: The presence of the ocean was always calming. The constant sound of the waves comforted her, and sometimes she thought she might have heard whispering words in the way the water crashed against the rocks. Slypanthy loved feeling the spray of the water flecking her hide, and she adored rolling in the shallows so the strings of seaweed would tangle up in her mane and tail. No matter how she felt, a brisk swim in the cold waters always filled Slyph with a sense of deeper calm. She only wished she could see it properly. From as long as she could remember, Slyph had a hard time seeing things more then a few paces away. The sea looked beautiful up close, but when she looked out upon it, it became a blue blurr. Slyph could imagine though. She could imagine how beautiful it looked in the morning. She often begged her brother to explain to her what the sky looked like, with the fading stars and the way the changing light reflected off the tips of the waves. Slyph could close her eyes and just listen to the voice, carrying on while the water lapped at her hooves. She would have given anything...anything at all to see the starys sky over the midnight sea with the moon shining down. Though her sight was dull, her heart and ears were all the stronger for it. She could love the sea as she could perceive it, and she was humbled by the strength she could feel vibrating the sands under her during thunder storms. She could hear the gulls and the little lapping sounds of the ocean even from deep within the cave. It was as familiar a her own heartbeat and just as cherished. Do you have any plots in mind?: True love: I would want for her to meet a strong stallion that she could admire, but also one that she would feel that needed her. Slyph would not want to be a burden or seem like some helpless filly, she would want to know that as much as she values her mate, that he values her as well. Trials: I would like for her to have some challenges that are not easy to overcome, these would help her mature into a mare who knows the value of working hard for what one wants. Anything else?:

How many Soq Do You have?: 0
Name : Male: Maverick Means: Wildly Independent
Female: Soyala Means: Winter Solstice
Personality: You could not keep the foal down if you tried. Hyper and happy it runs around playing with others. It loves to be in groups and like attention, and will fan-fair whenever possible. Yet, if the foal gets in trouble, it will listen to it's mother or father (or both if it has been very bad) and will respect their chastising. When the foal sees another foal of the opposite sex, it can not help but flirt a little. It will use it's looks and intelligence to swoon others.
Temper: Flirtatious
Which basket are you entering For: Basket 1 (Both are beautiful, and I will accept either if I am a winner)
Prompt #: #1 Your Mothers eyesight is very poor so she often calls you by your siblings name by accident or generally gets the two of you confused. When she realizes it she apologies. even as a foal you can tell it gets her flustered or generally embarrassed by it. you can also tell that she really is trying but she cant help it. how dose this make you feel, how do you react and what do you think this will shape you into?
Prompt Response:(For both male and female) "Maverick, yes please come here" Mothers voice was clear, but her eye site, not so much. "Mother, I'm Soyala." I nuzzle her snout. "Oh darling, I am so sorry. I guess my seeing off today." She hangs her head a bit. I could tell she was tired of mixing up my bother and I, and today seemed to be a bad day for mom's sight. "Did you need something mother?" "No, I...I am ok" "Mother. Please, let me help you" I pleaded. "You have helped me quite enough" She spoke sternly, then stood and walked outside the cave, to watch the storm rolling in. I didn't know what to do. I mean mother's sight had been going bad for as long as I could remember, but she usually allowed help from either my brother or I. I could not let my mother feel bad for something she has not control over. It is not her fault her eye sight is bad, but nor was it mine. I walked outside to where she was. She looked like she had been crying. "Mother?" *Sniffle* Yes baby? She wiped her eyes "A....are you okay? I am here to help you, because I love you. You are the world to be. Like the old saying goes; Mother is god in the eyes of a child. You know, I think that is true" I look at the sky as I say that. Then I look at her. I am sorry Soyala, I have been so tired for mixing you and your brother up. Every time I do it, I get embarrassed and slightly angry with myself. I know I have to control over what is happening, but I still wish. She looked at me and out to the sky, then smiles. "Want to go for a fly? Looks like a big storm is on it's way" I look at her a gin big, "Race you there!" We take off into the sky, and we race to the storm. I win of course. wink
Do you have any plots in mind?: Mainly Friend and Family plots.
Anything else?: Thank you for hosting this RP competition. =]

UserName: Akuma_Kessaku How many Soq Do You have?: Half Maybe? (I co own, but have no rp rights… Basically waiting for a bebeh…) Name : Adonis Personality: Adonis likes to spend his days reading in the shade, and naps in the sunlight. Come night time he likes to take walks on the beach and talk with his father about just about anything that comes to mind. Adonis keeps to himself and doesn’t like to talk much, he hates confrontation. Temper: philosophical. Which basket are you entering For: 2 Prompt #: Two Prompt Response: Adonis lay against the cool wall of the poorly lit cave, squinting to read the pages that lie mere inches from his face. His mother trotted by and chuckled, “Come outside. It’s a beautiful day, and the water is wonderful!” He ignored her and stared more intensely at the pages. Reii looked back to snorted softly, “Sweetie, I know how hard it is to walk away from a good book, but it’s absolutely gorgeous out here.” Seeing how he hadn’t moved an inch she started back his way, “Adonis… At least come read outside. I’m worried you’re not getting out enough.” “The sun hurts my eyes when it reflects off the pages, the ocean spray gets the pages wet, and when it goes up my nostrils it makes me sneeze.” Adonis added without looking up from the pages. Reii’s ears lowered and sadness filled her heart. She was hurt that her son did not share the passion her and her husband share for the ocean. Ever since two beautiful foals emerged from the baskets she had watched over for many months she had been learning that the two couldn’t have been more different. Iliana was her little shadow; she loved hearing stories but hated reading, and loved doing anything in the daytime. Whereas her brother Adonis loafed around in the daytime, read anything you’d set in front of him, and is most often seen lurking the beach at night. Eddie slithered past Adonis and flicked his tail at the foal looking back. Sticking his tongue out he hissed, “Pay no mind to your rude boy, Reii… The day is too beautiful to waste on convincing this foolish foal to enjoy it.” He swaggered past in his yellow poke-a-dot bikini. Iliana bolted down the shoreline and circled her mother, “C’mon Mommy C’mon!! The water is so warm! Let’s go swimming!” Reii giggled and chased after her Iliana as they made their way toward deeper water, Eddie draped over her forelock as she swam. They spent the whole day at the beach swimming, exploring shallow reefs, chasing the fishes, and playing with a few familiar that roam the sea. The day was near its end, and Adonis finally shuffled out onto the beach where his mother, sister, and Eddie lay drying. “Did you all enjoy your swim?” He asked as he knelt down and rested beside them. Iliana frowned, “We had a great day, while you sat in the cave like a little hermit.” “Iliana…” Her mother scolded, “Your brother just…” she searched for the words. “Doesn’t like spending time with his family on a perfectly beautiful day,” Eddie hissed from the rock he was basking on. “Eddie!” Reii snorted as she rushed to her hooves. “Men and boys are alike. It’s like they try to ruin your day… only thinking of themselves, only doing what they want to.” Adonis flared his nostrils, “My vision is poor enough… I didn’t want to read in the sunlight because it hurts my eyes…” “And that’s fine sweetheart. Eddie is just jealous that he doesn’t have me all to himself now.” Reii knelt down beside her little boy and nuzzled his cheek, “We can still have fun for a little while… Before you get tucked in for the night.” Iliana hopped up and began prancing around, “Let’s play hide and seek! Eddie’s it… Since he’s being a party pooper.” Reii chuckled and nuzzled Adonis, “All of you go hide, and I’ll come find you.” She turned away and closed her eyes, listening to her two babies gallop off, “Eddie. You too.” She heard a grumble of disapproval, but then heard him slither away. After a count of ten she got up and began searching out her little ones. It didn’t take too long to see where they had been hiding. Iliana’s ears were poked over the top of a large bolder down by the shoreline, and Adonis hadn’t tucked his tail in after crawling behind fallen tree. The two giggled as their mother trotted around calling for them. They would peek around the corner of where they were hiding when their mother had her back turned. As the sun got closer to setting she sought out her children, chased them back to the den, and got them tucked in for the night. Reii flopped down on their flattened patch of leaves and grass and sighed. The day was done, and her two foals were snuggled in alongside her, and before she knew she was long lost in her dreamland. Seeing his mother and sister sleeping Adonis took this opportunity to slip out of the cave. He inhaled the night air deeply and shivered as the breeze rolled over his body. The night was what he enjoyed most. He shuffled his hooves through the loamy sand as the waves gently rolled over his fetlocks. Jericho crept up behind his son and nuzzled against him, “It’s late… Haven’t you been out all day?” Adonis jumped and then nuzzled his father, “I read a little, and napped in the warmth of the sun at the mouth of our cave… I prefer the ocean at night.” Jericho nodded, “There’s a storm coming though… You shouldn’t be out for too long.” Adonis looked at his father confused, and looked out on the horizon to see the lightning crackle in the distance. Jericho wrapped a wing around his boy and nuzzled his cheek, “Tomorrow night will be clear… how about we talk then.” Adonis sighed and rubbed against his father, “But I was looking forward to talking with you tonight.” “Come on now… I’ll get you tucked in.” Jericho led him back to the den and tucked him in. He nuzzled Adonis’s hair , “Goodnight Adonis.” “’Night Dad,” Adonis yawned as he laid his head down and closed his eyes. Reii opened one eye and locked on her lover, who noted she had stirred from her sleep, he smirked and started out the cave entrance, knowing he would be joined by his lover soon. After a few minutes she strode out along the beach and came up alongside Jericho, “There’s a storm coming.” He nodded and breathed softly on her neck, “Perhaps when the storm rolls in we should go for a little flight?” She giggled and squirmed close to him, “What would you like to do until then?” Jericho wrapped a wing around her and cooed, “Oh, I can think of a few things…” Do you have any plots in mind?: Not at the moment (Just found out about this yesterday at 10-ish pm) Anything else?: Sorry guys… This is not my best work, but I wanted to participate, because I’ve wanted an actual soq of my own for a while… >< hopefully I get one!
