Oh yes, the bag was just oh so heavy. Her arms were actually getting a bit tired though!

Seidh smiled a bit once Vahn took the bag, even if it was a bit cautiously. It wouldn’t bite, after all and it certainly wasn’t a trap. She then tilted her head at Vahn’s sudden odd behavior. Her black gaze questioned him curiously as he look at her, away from her, back at her and then made his observation. The teen turned to look out the window of the store. Oh…it was getting dark, huh? Time to head home! “It is…”

At his next words, Seidh couldn’t help but looked shocked, despite his wording. That was…probably the nicest thing she’d heard from him all day! It was…touching but she couldn’t help but chuckle softly, in good nature. “I thought you didn’t want me bothering you anymore.” She couldn’t help but toss that out at him.

How to avoid answering that? Had he said that? He said a lot of things.
This was stupid. She was stupid. Stupid everything. "Hey, I'll just as happily leave you to the weirdos. I'm not saying I want to walk with you." Vahn prattled on, flicking his head to the side as if walking with him was a privilege. "A nice and quiet, hobby free walk sounds just fine to me."

Regardless of his words, he was still standing there with his bag. He had no duty to return the favour! Not him! He was a mean and brutish werewolf with no morals or anything.
Yep.
"So uh, hurry it up, unless you wanna get kidnapped by weirdos and stuff." He left the store and walked out onto the sidewalk, impatiently tapping his foot and waiting for Seidh. "Lead the way, would yeah? I don't know where you live."

She could see it now. Definitely under that rough and terribly awkward exterior was…a kindness of some sort. She just smiled softly as he talked about leaving her to the weirdos and how he talked about a nice, hobby free walk. But actions definitely speak louder than words, so the fact he wasn’t moving until she moved spoke volumes.

So while he didn’t hold the door open for her…that was alright.

The teen followed out after him, and soon enough started to lead the way back to her home. “I suppose getting kidnapped by weirdos would be counterproductive.” She agreed.

"Very. Honestly, you're lucky I'm such a nice guy." He said almost ironically, striding alonside Seidh. "I mean, I could be on my way back to my own home right now." He could be missing a good show right now!
Bellyaching much?

He fell silent for a moment. A rare moment of non judgmental or passive aggressive comments. He was usually all for not talking, so it lasted a while.
"You're a Curio too, so what did you come from?" He asked suddenly, seeming to have had the question suddenly nag him.

Seidh had to resist the urge to snort in amusement right now. Instead she settled for a simple, “Oh yes…I am very lucky. You have my deepest gratitude.” She murmured, continuing to humor him. When the wolf teen fell silent though, Seidh did too, having no problem with silence as she walked along with him.

After a while, when he did speak up, she answered him. “…I came from the Compass of Seidh.” She replied, glancing over at him. “…What about you?”

"As you should." He said with an egotistical smirk. This Seidh knew just how fortunate she was to be helped by Vahn, a guy with no time to kill at all. Truly, he had so many other pressing matters he could be taking care of. Being the selfless guy he was, he sacrificed his precious time to escort this lady home.

A compass? A compass of Seidh no less, whatever that was. He'd never heard of it.
Vahn mentally puffed his feathers in pride when asked what he was from, though outwardly he acted as if he was indifferent. "A self help book for Werewolves." He could use one about now, though he knew the contents were mostly about werewolf type things, like avoiding silver and whatnot. "Donovan found it in a gutter."

Oh yes, Seidh just couldn’t believe her lucky stars that she was being walked home by such a kind, caring person. She truly knew how fortunate she was!

A self help book for werewolves? Self help was right! It was what he needed. Regardless, it was an interesting thing none the less. She looked surprised when he said that he had been found in a gutter. Didn’t…all Curios come from the shop? “You…didn’t come from the shop?” She questioned, blinking. Speaking of items…she wondered now what kind of item Quint came from. She’d have to ask him later!

"The book probably did come from there, but for some reason it... got away?" He shrugged a bit. "Maybe someone stole it then lost it. Donovan said "You must be one of those..", so I can only assume. He said after Vance, he'd never go back to the shop." In reality, the book had been victim to a careless window shopper who had knocked the book off its shelf, and then through a series of events ended up kicked out of the shop and blown down the road.

"This is what he gets for picking things out of a gutter anyway. Hah." he smirked, as if the trouble he gave the man was justified. He turned to Seidh, raising a brow. "I'm guessing you aren't much of a s**t disturber, right? Other than piano and cupcakes, what do you do for fun? Is your brother as much of a pain in the a** as mine?" Vance had a habit of trying to get Vahn to play with him, which went over about as well as one would imagine.

Seidh listened intently to Vahn’s explanation, giving a nod of her head once he was done. Oh! That made sense now, definitely! “I see…” She murmured. His father figure didn’t want to go back to the shop because he might get another charge? That…made sense she supposed. She didn’t know if her mother ever wanted to go back…but she seemed content with Fremere and her…and Seidh was content with their current dynamics so…that was good?

The teen’s lips twisted a bit at Vahn’s statement about ‘this is what he gets.’ “…Aren’t…you thankful that he did?” She questioned. s**t disturber? “Um…no?” She was pretty quiet and laidback for the most part. “For fun…I like to read and knit…try new food…spend time with my fish and my…” She trailed off for a moment. What was Quint to her? They were technically dating so did that make him her…boyfriend? She wasn’t sure. “…Friend…s.” At the question about brothers, Seidh couldn’t help but chuckle. “Though…he may be a bother at times…I still enjoy him immensely.”

"Thankful?" Vahn questioned, raising a brow. "I'm here cause I'm here. If I didn't exist, I wouldn't notice, right." He said nonchalantly, shifting the bag on his shoulder. "He's got a bug up his a** tryin' to turn me into some obedient house pet, and it ain't happenin'. He's gettn' what he paid for." And he didn't pay a penny. Therefore, no manners, no common sense, and definitely no respect. The poor 20 year old mechanic had his hands full.

"Friends, eh? What's all the hoopla about hanging out with other people, exactly? What do you do?" Was he actually curious or asking because he was a d**k? Probably both, but more so in favor of the latter.

"Oh yeah? Seems like a handful. I can at least scare Vance off, but that Fremere kid don't take no hints."

Yes, thankful.” Seidh echoed, her lips twisting a bit. “…I remember…bits and pieces of being on the shelf…of…waiting, waiting for someone to come and claim me.” She looked over at Vahn. “You can’t tell me…that you enjoyed being in that gutter.” The teen fell into silence for a moment before speaking up once more. “…If he didn’t want you…he’d get rid of you…or mistreat you. Instead…he’s housing you, feeding you…at least trying to get you to function…remember that.”

Friends…” She murmured. “It’s…bonds, connections. People…who will be there for you…no matter what.” She couldn’t exactly describe in detail why having friends was important…good for the health. “I…go places with friends…I eat with friends…watch movies…share important conversations and feelings with them. My brother…is my friend, too. He’s one of my best friends.” Her black gaze returned to the sidewalk. “Vance…would be your friend too, if you let him.”

"It was a little soppy, but at least no one nagged me." Vahn retorted defiantly. "Get off the couch, do this, do that, don't drop crumbs, do the laundry, watch Vance!" Vahn huffed, not seeming to understand the concept of appreciation well at all. "That's pretty dumb. The only reason he keeps me around is for free babysitting. Just watch. The second Vance is old enough to stay home alone, I'll be kicked out." He grumbled scornfully. "S'not like I care. I can take care of myself just fine. The again, he even took in that ditzy chic that cleans the house, so maybe he just likes collecting degenerates." Vahn couldn't get his head around it at all.

Again with this bonds talk. How was it that people clung so desperately to other people. He was fine the way he was! He didn't need other people, they just always happened to be around! "I can't handle Vance! He's too hyper." The grumpy teen sighed a bit.

The teen was actually feeling a bit exasperated! His attitude towards his guardian was befuddling to her. “That’s not nagging…those are the expectations of you living under his roof.” Seidh murmured. “…I don’t think he’s going to kick you out…but if you’re so against how they’re treating you, then maybe you should…leave.” She wasn’t trying to be mean by saying this, but that she was trying to make a point. He needed to see that he actually had it really well! “Maybe he’s kind despite his grievances…at least he’s trying.”

Seidh usually wasn’t the type to feel the need to lecture people or get so involved, but his attitude was really bothering her! “Wear Vance out then…get off of the couch.”

"I'd leave if I really wanted to, but I've gotten pretty comfortable. I've got a den and everything." Oh yes, his precious den, filled with things from second hand stores bought with Donovan's hard earned cash. Using people. It's what Vahn did. He felt little obligation to return these acts of kindness.

"I would, but he sticks himself to the damn ceiling when I try and chase him away. Brat." Making him get up for nothing! "I can't get him up there, so I just leave till he goes away."

“Uh huh.” Seidh uttered, clearly believing that. Not! She frowned a bit more as they were strolling down the streets of her neighborhood before she just let out a sigh. You couldn’t change people’s idea unless they wanted to be changed, right? It was hard for her to accept his behavior and ideas though. Fremere and her were always, always grateful if nothing else that they have a home with their mother, and they didn’t take it for granted.

The teen paused once she reached her house on the corner, placing her hands on the gate, staring down thoughtfully for a moment. She turned to Vahn then. “…Have a good night. I hope you enjoy the dart board.” Really, she did mean that.
