She had remained strangely calm throughout the conversation, even when her teammates got upset about how unfair everything was... Well, nothing's fair. Besides, the Gammas eventually confirmed the existence of a horse-thing on their side too.
"Everyone is useful in some way," Beta Seven cut in, although her tone suggests that she didn't mean it in the typical, motivational way, "Obviously, as seen on my mask, I am Beta Seven but they call me Boss. Just a nickname though. Beta Four - known as Before - likes to give them out. He's a punny sort of guy, heh..." At this, she grinned, not that anyone was able to see.
"Interesting... A kid? I seriously doubt a kid would know what she's getting into by agreeing to come here," She laughed dryly, poking at the hilt of the dagger she had pretty much rammed into the ground, "Although it seems like we must want something pretty bad to agree to this. That or, as I had mentioned many times before, my life prior to arrival on this island must had sucked pretty bad."
Looking up to address Gamma Two, she shrugged, resisting the urge to yawn, "Eh, who knows? I'm sure we all have plenty of questions that we have no answers to. Just gotta survive to the very last day to find out... Then again, I wonder if we'll even find out then."

yII had doubts that anyone in this had any idea what they were really getting into. If there was, they were probably missing a few screws. As bVII put it, it must have been something to get him to agree. Hopefully it was that rather than having a shitty life.
Though, whether their questions would really be answered was something to consider. For all he knew, they might just be shoved off to whatever came next with little to no explanation. Depending on what that next step was exactly, surviving might not be the best thing for them. He quickly shook his head at this thought. No, it had to be something worthwhile for them to go through all of this and for them to put their lives on the line for it.
He was already determined to do what he could to guide his little group towards survival.
"I guess so," he said, sounding a little distant as he was lost in his thoughts, "Five days to live.."
There was that daunting feeling again.

"Five days to live? Heh, you sound like an old man with cancer right now," She rolled her eyes at Gamma Two, raising both arms to give herself a good stretch before stretching out her legs; ugh, she seriously need that nap right now. They really should set up a system for it; half of them to sleep and half of them to stay awake... That will prevent potential backstabbing, right? If so, she wants Beta Four to keep watch while she's asleep.
That guy is so nervous, he'll flail and make noise if anything happens. There was no way he would successfully be able to kill her while she's sleeping...
"Its more of the rest of our lives to live, and 5 days to work for it," She continued before yawning, raising her hand to cover her mouth- And then realizing that there was no need to. Ha.

Frowning at the old man comment, yII was silent for a bit there. They all may as well have had some sort of terminal disease. Over the next few days, there was going to be a lot of deaths for sure. Though, bVII's comment was a rather intriguing one. It was certainly a brighter way of thinking things.
Smiling a bit at that thought, he finally sat himself down. His body felt incredibly heavy from exhaustion. If he made it through and if he was able to, he was determined to go somewhere like Hawaii to just chill and relax for a little while.
"We're gonna have to work hella hard for it, but I guess in the end the ones who fight the hardest to stay alive will make it through," he mused.

Raising his brow while feeling a buzz, yII glanced at his belt to see a peculiar text. The pendant wasn't something he was interested in, but an extra medkit could be useful...
Thinking on it briefly, he decided to give it a shot.

[Beta Seven exiting to texting thread!]
A next text caught her attention, and she replied - why not? What's the worse that can happen? Yup, sounds like a trap, but seriously - what isn't a tarp on this island?

Gamma Four watched as a tentative truce was made, the hand with her dagger lowering to her side. She didn't put it away though, even though they had come to an agreement she didn't completely trust them. Like Gamma Seven she decided to stay standing, she wasn't all that tired yet, and she wanted to be able to move quickly.
When introductions were being made she finally spoke up. "I'm Gamma Four," She wanted to say she had some sort of cool nickname, but unfortunately not much could be made from Gamma Four.
When they mentioned the five day timer they were all on Four frowned behind her gas mask. Between the two points of view, she liked Beta Seven's better.
Feeling her cell phone vibrate she checked it and shrugging a bit she texted the word TASK back and waited. When nothing happened she frowned, it looked like that limited availability was really limited.

Three had dozed off a bit as Boss and the Gamma had talked, it was her cellphone which roused her and then the exiting of two of them, checking her own phone she received only a blank screen in response and glanced at the other gamma "So uh...do you think their coming back?" She asked meaning of course Yii and B7.

Bix had also dozed off and when he awoke to a persistent buzzing he'd found that he had missed two messages. Apparently he'd also missed the chance at getting a pendant.
"Well.. s**t." He grumbled and sat up. Apparently without adequate guards he'd managed to get a nap but in the meantime Boss and the Other Guy (he would call him this in his head) had left. Neither of their names had won the pendants so... well that could mean anything.
"I don't... umm.. No?" It seemed like it had been a while and they were still here, nestled in next to the dense fog, with nothing but the Lighthouse towering above them. "Boss probably would have come back.. I think." His voice sounded uncomfortably nervous.
"What should we..?" Clearly all his bitching and moaning was easy when there were tougher people around. But at least a few of his own team were here and the Gammas hadn't killed him in his sleep.
"Do you think we can get into the Lighthouse?"

"Yeah...I think Boss would have come back too" Three responded with an uncertain look down the way they had gone - it had been quite a while now and with the message confirming a winner - well if they were coming back they should have returned by now right? There really wasn't any point in dwelling on it she supposed - like everything else on this island it was screwed up but survival dictated they just keep going.
Turning she looked up at the imposing lighthouse "Maybe...if we could it might give us a better view of the area" Though with all this fog it was debatable - still it was a goal they might be able to achieve and perhaps it would boost the groups morale, she had a feeling it was going down quite a bit and such things were important in a fight. "We can try right?" She remarked "You gamma's are welcome to...since it seems that Gamma two isn't coming back either" And wandering off alone wasn't recommended though if thats what they wanted to do he wasn't going to go to any great length to top them.

Gamma Seven was going through the process of trying to figure out why he was here. Trying in absolute vain to pull up a memory, any memory, of the time before he woke up in a gask mask and an uncomfortable suit of armour. Did he have a bad life? So bad he thought entering a battle royale was a good idea? Or...was he the type to enter because he could, or because it sounded interesting at the time? It was hard to tell...and it wasn't all that fun to dwell on, either. It didn't matter what he was like before. He knew what he was like now, kind of, and that was all he needed to know.
They started bantering about age and how much time they had left, but Seven was too absorbed in his thoughts to notice much...until Gamma Two and Beta Seven left.
"H-hey! Where are you---" He paused when he realized his phone was going off, flipping it open. Like Four, he tried to text TASK, but...nothing happened. He started to pace, moving from one little end of their makeshift camp and to the other for a total of perhaps four steps before turning on a heel and repeating it. Gamma Two, his Leader, had disappeared. The ground under him was in danger of getting a nice clear path of wear by the time he finally stopped - just in time to get a new text.
...Episilon Thirteen won two pendants?! That guy - or girl - was doomed. Purely doomed.
Gamma Seven went back to pacing.
Back. Forth. Back. Forth. Like a caged animal.
Back. Forth. Back. Forth.
Nobody came back. Quite a bit of time had passed, and there was no sign of Gamma Two - or that Beta Seven 'Boss' chick. The other Betas were pondering the lighthouse, and though seven turned to look up at it...he didn't want to go just yet. Yes the Lighthouse would likely give them an advantage, but...not yet.
"You guys go on ahead. I'll stay here for a little longer, hold out to see if they come back." He made a vague hand gesture suggesting they leave, his tone of voice cold and flat. It was clear he didn't want to accept the disappearance and likely death of a comerade that had been with him since they both woke up here. His voice might have taken a dive in tone, but at least he was no longer pacing.
"But...for just a little longer."

"Listen.. uhh.. WHY-SEVEN." Bix wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. y was a normal letter.. not Gamma. "Let me be a little clearer with you. It would be a greeeeaaaat idea to try and get into the lighthouse. But I.." He held his hand to his chest, the free hand still desperately clutching his gun (he even held it when he napped!) "am noooo trail blazer."
He snorted in his mask again. His nose always seemed clogged and he couldn't help it. It made him sound gross though. "I mean.. I don't even want to be here. I just want to NOT DIE."
Beta-6 walked to the edge of their campsite. There seemed to be a good path up to the lighthouse but still, he wouldn't chance it alone or even in a pair. "I don't really care if you are blue team or pink team or friggin sepia tone. There's power in numbers so I'll feel like a real shitbag if we just left you pacing yourself into a ditch."

"Alright, BEE-SIX." Seven shot back a little snarkier than intended. Okay, he actually meant to do that, but that was beside the point! He stared through his gas mask as the blue number six clutched to his gun and tried to speak some pretty forward words. Aah, a gun. Gamma Two had a gun. He wanted a gun now, to make up for his lost dagger. Actually he'd be happy with just a dagger.
"That means you're going to stay here with me, right?" He actually didn't mind the company, but he had been pretty sure that before he piped up, that's where they all were going. So, assuming a small ounce of leadership and recalling all of Gamma Two's past attempts at keeping them alive with all his 'Don't go by yourself', 'It's dangerous to go alone', 'small groups are best' blah blah blah, he turned to the others who had yet to speak up.
"What about this; Bee-Six and I will stay here, and you two-" He nodded to Beta Ten and Gamma Four. "Head to the lighthouse for a quick peek? Nothing serious, don't go too far in, just...take a look, and come back." Trying to be the leader was kinda hard; he didn't feel cut out for it. But still, someone had to or they'd all be sitting here going WHAT NOW?!
"Does that work?"

"Fine by me!" He almost sounded happy about it and didn't even flinch at the verbal snapping. It was purely because he didn't have to make any decisions and he was really good at being a verbal and emotional punching bag.
"Ten wants to kick some a** I think.." He didn't want her to decide to kill him. Better to point her in the direction of new and amazing frontiers of slaughter. "Any of you guys who want to go will be safe with her. If it ends up being ok up there maybe you can send someone back for us.. but I'm sure we will be along in a little bit."
How long would the two of them wait? How long would this Gamma wait for his friends. "How long.. exactly.. do you think we will be waiting here?" Bix was suddenly sounding not so sure.

Gamma Four looked uncertain behind her mask. "I'm not sure splitting up again is such a good idea." With only two of them their odds of surviving if attacked were reduced dramatically. She tightened her grip on her dagger looking at Gamma Seven. "But, if you think it's the best idea..." She trailed off. She wasn't a leader, the only thing she could lead was herself. She'd do what Gamma Seven told her since he was the only Gamma left.
