Zwitch shrugged, "Well I do need to break, so I might just head into town." He said looking up at the sky then back at Rei, "Are you guys so happen to head there aswell?"

Rei looked at Zwitch before he left. "We plan to head there yes" she said before turning her attention to Seth. She knelt down in front of him. "Town is a wonderful place but very crowded so you will need to stay close to me ok or would you rather ride on my shoulders?" she asked with a smile.

I got a kill last night. The ritual cermony for honoring the fallen animal went uninterupted, and just finished cleaning and cutting the meat a few hours ago. It should last for a few weeks if I store it properly, an no other animals find it. I observed a group today, a Deathangel was among them, things are fast becoming surreal, and the creatures that have been cropping up over the last few weeks seem to be more serious than I first gave thought to...

I sat down on a patch of grass and built a small fire to cook some of my newly butchered venison. I had aquired a good stock of spices and seasonings over the last few years, and even had some herbs and fruits to go with the meat. I set a stone in the fire to cook the meat on and soon the scent of the cooking meat began wafting around the area. And a few minutes later I was enjoying a tastey meal. The rest of the meat was stored in the hollow of a tree about 10 feet away, and my home was in the trunk of another tree, a large and ancient oak tree, with a trunk about 15 feet in diameter. I spent alot of time carving out a hollow to live in, and even had a small fireplace inside. It was suprisingly roomy kn the inside and could probably fit a few more people comfortably. The sun was high above me now, and a warm, gentle breeze blew through my grove.

Seth

Seth looked up at Rei, "I'll stay close" seth replied.

Rei nodded to Seth's response. She then looked to Zwitch before walking on. She walked with Seth toward the nearest town she had visited before going to those woods where she had found Seth for the very first time.

Hours passed before they finally arrived to the edge of the town. She looked down at Seth he appeared tired. "Would you like to hop on my shoulders now?" she asked wondering if he could use the rest or not. She held his hand waiting for a response.

I dropped into town about fifteen minutes ago. It seems a state of unease has come over the town. People are cheery, but have a distant, drawn in their eyes. I dint know quite what it's about. But perhaps I'll learn about what's troubling the town while I'm here. Only time will tell.

I closed the black notebook and put it in the back pocket of my satchel. I was greeted by those who either knew me or had heard of me. I did notice a few newcomers since my last trip into town. I got strange looks from them. looks that were, more often than not, changed into smiles when someone nearby explained who I was, and what I did. Of course is hardly a secret that I'm a Ranger. Protector of the forest and it's inhabitants. And of the people this town. I made my way to the tavern, where I thought would he the best place to learn about why people had been so uneasy. I figured it had something to do with these creatures that were beginning to become more frequent. I had slayed a few, but it seemed now that things were much more serious than first given thought to about these creatures. Upon entering the tavern, I noticed it wasn't nearly as rauctious as it had been on previous visits. I found an empty table in a corner and sat. Scanning the room I noticed several of the regulars were still around, but seemed more intent on quietly discussing something, instead of jibing eachother. At another table a man was flirting with an attractive young woman. I saw him get up, visibly angry as she dismissed him with no more thought than a hawk would regard a fly. A few tables over from that scene a lone figure sat smoking a pipe. I know who he is, he's a Ranger, like me. His name is Lorian. I nodded to him, and he responded in kind. Rangers are a tightknit family always helping eachother and caring for oneanother. In the event that one of my brethren fell ill or became injured, I had a spare hollow with a room slightly smaller than my quarters where they could rest. I reached into my satchel and pulled an apple, as well as a thumb-sized wooden container of cinnamon. Using a knife I cut a small section and ate it, but sprinkled a touch of cinnamon on each successive bite. The din of the bar climaxed for a moment as someone won a gambling game involving throwning knives at a target. A waitress came to me and brouhh me a tea with a lemon in it. I sipped my drink and listened for anything that would tell me more information about the creatures. Sure incould just ask, but it was more fun this way. And it was an intellectual excersize as well, instead if getting all the answers at once, I had to piece together what I heard. Someone won at the knife throwing game again, and the crowd cheered. Even the looser of the bet cheered, because that was the mentality of the town: win or lose, it matters not. Its the good times and fomd memories that make it special. Perhaps that's what drew me to this town in the first place. It's full of genuinely nice people. I sipped at my drink somemore and thought about whatever popped into my head at the time, and watching the people enjoy themselves.
