Solaris---Moonfall---Ivy---Diane---Zachary---Genesis

Solaris nodded, "Very. I rather like how they've built their hall as though it were one large ballroom. Considering doing that for the Sun Guild..."
The Espeon flicked his tail to the side and stepped forward to sit next to the pale Flareon.
He watched his uncle warily for a moment, he seemed fine now and lately he'd been in a much better mood and also much better streak of good health so he wasn't particularly fretful for the night.
"Yes. He does." He finally replied after his thoughtful silence.

"It's fine." Ivy's tail gave a swift wag, "I'm 'Sunrise over Fields of Ivy' but everyone just calls me Ivy. Ivy Eclipse."She extended a paw to awkwardly grip his claw in one quick shake before lettng it go. Paws were not meant for holding.
"These new Pokemon are interesting, aren't they? I'm surprised there are no new Eeveelutions though. Surprised and a bit relieved. I'd hate to have evolved into a Glaceon only to find I could have been able to fly and have wings like yours..."
She turned sharply as one of the high ranked Pokemon of this guild began to shout, but quickly turned back to Rem.
"What team are you on, Rem, if you don't mind me asking?"

Zach huffed, dragging his sopping wet hide from the fountain to follow the Purrloin and make amends, however his apology was refused before it could be uttered when he caught up to her and she whirled around to claw his face to pieces.
"OH GOD, AM I BLEEDING?! I'M BLEEDING! I'M GOING TO DIE!"
Diane hissed and continued to march away.

.::Rem & Geisha & Luna::.

Rem nodded as the Glaceon went on. He smiled slightly as he responded. "That is a nice name- although, to be honest, calling you Ivy is much easier." He smiled ruefully. He turned, looking at the members of the Guild of Seasons each in turn. He nodded.

"They are quite interesting, aren't they? We just encountered a..." Rem searched his memory, trying to remember if he knew Vladimir's species. Coming up with nothing coherent, he shrugged. "Well, he looked like a candle- his name was Vladimir. I myself am... slightly puzzled at the lack of anymore Eevee forms," he said, himself not fond of the slang term, "Eeveelution."

He turned back to Ivy, then, buzzing back and forth slightly. "As for your last question, I am a member of Team Blacksteppe. The Co-Captain, as a matter of fact. My superior- aside from Solaris, of course- is Stark Dravin. An effective leader, though... quite troubled. Perhaps you have met him?"

—¤÷(`Nadia & Luke & Zorora & Laura ´)÷¤—

Laura listened to their current conversation with Pluto. She heard the Leafeon asked a question and was answered immediately by Diane. It was true how the Winter Festival was less exciting than the Spring Festival. The Gracedia too was indeed beautiful. She can't wait until the grand finale arrives. The thought crossed her mind then vanished when her sister shrieked. Her eyes widened, full of shock. Nothing can be good will happen after this. "Diane!" She screamed her name as the shiny Purrloin was splashed by the cold fountain water. "P-Please excuse me.." She said with a quick bow to Pluto before trotting to her sister's side. She caught a glimpse of Genesis trying to calm her down as a few curses escaped the Purrloin's mouth.
As Diane went off, completely furious at the idiotic Zorua, Laura was about to follow her and continue to comfort her before she thought that the shiny Purrloin just need some alone time. She shot a glance at Zachary. She continued to glare at him until he was ripped by her sister. Ouch. She acknowledged the Zorua's screaming and sighed before returning to the Leafeon.
"Yes, where were we?" She said, pretending that none of that never happened.

"A magician?" Zorora said confused. She didn't know the meaning of 'magician'. But whatever it is, it seemed like it is what the Eevee's doing.
"Riley," She repeated the name. "Riley! That's a nice name." She smiled innocently. She then heard Riley asked her name. "My name is Zorora!" She exclaimed her answer to the Eevee. "I'm the leader of Team Electro Thundersong." She added. She's rather proud being a leader. Though, since she haven't done any missions yet, her team is probably not well-known.
A few tricks amazed her. It kind of inspired her. So as the other younger Pokemons watching him. For the record, Zorora isn't a kid. She's actually almost an adult. She just sometimes bounces between being an adult and being a kid. Only, usually she acts like a kid. Like right now for example.
After seeing Riley's amazing tricks, she felt the urge to do a trick of herself. She is part Shinx, maybe she can do something with electricity? "I bet I can make one of 'em tricks." She said under her breath. She moved her body to look like she's about to pounce. Her star-like tail was up in the air. Her dark brown fur bristling with excitement. A faint 'Urk' came from her as she tried to discharge a few electricity, not too much to damage anything unlike what that Zorua did. "Hiyaa~" She said as sparks began to fly and explode like fireworks. "I call it Electricworks!" She announced. The Eevee looked at Riley and the other kids, expecting some praise of some sort. Her eyes were glowing proudly.

Meanwhile of all those things happening, Nadia and Luke seemed to quite enjoy their chat.
"Luke, have you ever missed your family before?" Nadia asked.
"Sometimes I do miss them. They were the ones who have raised me and made me who I am."
The Poochyena started to fight back tears. She shouldn't be asking those kind of questions but she can't help herself miss her family, her whole pack. She never had a family ever since. Maybe having some kids might return the word 'family' to her.
"Nadia, are you alright?" The Lucario always seemed to worry about her.
"N-No..I-I'm fine.." Her words were slightly blocked by the tears she's trying to hold back.
L Ahkmill generated a random number between 1 and 17 ... 10!

Eira - Lucy - Tammet - Jessica - Xander - Arizona

Eira was shivering when she emerged late from the portal.
She was clinging very close to her second-in-command, Mikhail.
It was obvious she was still shaken up about the attack on her guild.
After all, seeing two of your oldest and closest friends die before your eyes was traumatizing.

"My diagnosis, melodrama and idiocy."
A well-known pink Weavile strode right past the screaming Zorua known as Zachary, nodding and patting her mouth with her claw.
"Better have some dancing, otherwise I've got no reason to be here..." Lucy told Sai as she approached the Glaceon and sat next to her.
"Hi~" She purred, wrapping an arm around Sai and kissing her forehead.

Tammet walked in, clutching the brim of his pants and looking around.
Nothing seemed to be really catching his eyes.
Letting out a little sigh, he stood in the middle of the floor and began to count the Pokemon over and over.
Nothing understood him like numbers.

"I don't care if you don't want to go, you need to get out some! My daughter's gonna have a social life, not stay inside and practice fighting all day!"
"B-But Dad said-!"
"Oh, come on, Ari! I heard Ivy's here!"
"... Okay, I'll stay~"
Two Lucario walked into view, both very odd looking.
Jessica had come armed, not out of suspicion, but because she knew that with this many important Guild Pokemon in one place, there was bound to be some danger.
The mother Lucario glanced around a little before the shine of metal crossed her eye.
She focused her sight on a female Blaziken with a large sword strapped to her back.
"Arceus on high, that's a beautiful weapon..." She muttered as she approached the Fire-Fighting type.
Jessica leaned in close to the large weapon, her paws lightly running over the hilt of the small short sword strapped to her back.
She just HAD to compare them!

Trotting in on all fours and murring loudly, Xander glanced around erratically.
So many females...
Such girlyness could not be tolerated!
"Why am I even here?!" She hissed, curling up in a corner.

Arizona, after parting ways with her mother, quickly found her way to where Ivy was.
The Glaceon had evolved, but Arizona knew that face anywhere.
"Holy crap Ivy, you look smexilicious!" She squealed as she walked up to the Glaceon and her conversation partner.
The Lucario looked up at Rem, cocking an eyebrow.
"Who's this?"

Epitaph --- Saileithe --- Alice -- Ver --- Taciturn

Epitaph turned her head in order to rest it against Solaris' shoulder. She had little physical boundries when it came to good friends and happy places. Especially given their situation with the world ending and all that. She was silent; sitting there and smiling as Solaris spoke. "The Hall idea sounds wonderful~" She responded musically, her tail flicking behind her in response to her pirky attitude. Who would have known she was related to Sai?
"... As long as we do it when we know we can." Epitaph added after a moment, directed at the Elite attacks no less. Ah yes, a new Hall! ... And now there's no longer a ceiling. The idea didn't seem to affect her mood as she quickly rebounded. "What would you like to do, Solaris?"

Sai was still staring out at the crowd until Lucy's voice made her ears twitch and her head rise high. It took her a second to lay eyes on the pink Weavile but she smiled when she did. "Dancing? Sounds hard when I can't stand on two paws." She replied as she nudged Lucy in response to the kiss. "How are you feeling, love? It's been so... chaotic, lately..." Her voice trailed off a bit. She herself had felt too exhausted to start making dates with Lucy. She'd have to find the time between these stupid missions and attacks. Both left the strangely tired Glaceon rather drained.

Alice stood with Railey and his group of admirers happily. She herself was no child either; nearing her mid 20s, but her mind was hardly where it had to be. "Magicians do tricks~" She responded to Zorora, takking a few steps closer. Taciturn, still upon her head slowly seemed to grow more and more shy. She stayed regardless. At least until Zorora showed her own trick and the Misdreavus shrilled quietly and vanished into the ground.
Alice blinked, watching her silently before looking back up at the Pokemon and shaking her hand. "She's fine, just shy. That was great miss! ...." Alice stared at Zorora, again back to a blank expression... She didn't know her name.

Neo & Max & Duke

With the conversation stalled, Neo opted to simply stand there and look around. These new Pokemon were interesting. He watched the drama that occured by the fountain, but wasn't really able to figure out what was going on.

Max on the other hand was entirely focused on Riley's deck of cards. Now was his chance! Summoning all his courage, he walked a bit closer to the Eevee. "Can...can you maybe...show me how to do a magic trick?" He stammered, going more than a little red in the face. He wanted to see the tricks though. More than that, he wanted to understand the tricks. He had grown up on the streets. He had seen streetside magicians before. Somehow Riley was different. He wasn't doing it for money, he was doing it for fun, and it changed the way he did the tricks somehow. Max wanted to find out how.

It was around that time that a strange, metallic Pokemon approached Neo.
"Hello! Neo said, always eager for conversation.
"Hello," the Pawniard responded.
"I'm Neo! What's your name?
"Duke."
"Hi Duke! You look really cool!"

Neo was excited. He was making his first Fifth Generation friend.

Ty-Thorn-Violet

Ty's gazed contunied to wonder around the room, while Thorn still looked at her feet. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you two." Violet said as Ty's jaw almost hit the floor. "What is it?" Violet asked as Thorn looked up at Ty. "Thats-That's-That's Solaris..." Ty muttered as his eyes began to sparkle. "Hmm..." Violet responded as her gaze followed Ty's to the one tailed Espeon. Ty began to walk towards the leader of the Guild he and Thorn are memebers off, as Thorn started to get a worried look on her face. "Ty, I-I don't think we should approach him just yet." Thorn said as she reached out to grab her team mate. "No, it should be fine," Violet said as she began to follow Ty, "I mean, this party is meant so people can mingle." Thorn gave up on reaching Ty in his current state, and began to follow him and Violet.

Era & Ethfael & Sereni & Riley

Era listened quietly to the three, cracking a smile as the mentioned their name. As they talked about working separately, Era sensed something uncomfortable about the subject, especially evident with the look that Chris and Aiden shared after he changed the subject. Well, no need to keep them on that topic if it was uncomfortable. "Well, there's not a great deal to tell," she said modestly. "Our Rescue Team formed quite some time ago actually, longer than our appearances might hint at. We have a large Team, currently eight members including both of us. We handle missions both individual and Guild very frequently, and we've recently reached Rank 3." Era smiled, "That's about the extent of it."

Ethfael nodded, finally deciding to respond to the conversation, "Yes, in a sense we're still very new, but we're marking our mark," he said. There were so many Teams that it was rather difficult to make an impression on anyone, but he was determined that they would accomplish it, even if it took rising to Champion rank to get there.

Era noticed the presence of the new Lucario as she walked up to Beka, looking over the Blaziken's sword. "Hello," she said in a friendly tone, "And who might you be?"

Sereni smiled, "It's very nice," she replied, "A good chance for all of us to socialize a bit in these stressful times. Everyone can use a bit of peace every now and then. I'm not a big proponent of fighting myself." Looking about the room at all the friendly conversations taking place made her smile broaden. This seemed to be just what everyone needed. In response to the earlier exchange by Randel and Melissa about strange Pokemon she commented, inspired by her looking around, "Well I suppose anyone looks strange to someone who's never seen anything like it before, but you can find similarities if you look for them. Personally, I notice several similarities even among the differences." She laughed a bit, "Well, as you said, Arceus made us all by one design or another."

Riley nodded appreciatively at Zorora's trick, knowing that she would expect some praise. "Very nice," he complimented her, "No doubt that could be something really spectacular if we had more space. You could light up the whole sky with Electricworks!" He smiled, tail waving from side to side pleasantly, "A great thing to impress an audience with." He then looked at the Ralts with the Misdreavus on her head with a smile, "And who might you two be?" All the while his front paws were busy with the playing cards, shuffling them in ways that one could hardly imagine almost instinctively without even glancing down. Every now and then he'd toss them up and catch them as part of the shuffling, once even juggling a few in one paw as he held the rest in his other. As Max approached him he turned, deftly catching the cards that he had just thrown and leaving a perfect deck in his right paw. "You want to learn a magic trick?" he said, "Well I don't see why not. How about you all?" he asked to the rest of those around him. "Want me to teach you a card trick?"

Pluto && Nova

Pluto saw the Deerling approaching, and noticed how the plants the Guildmaster had summon wilted on the spot. The Leafeon could sympathize. He inclined his head at the approaching grass-type.

"No harm done." He replied, waving a paw as if brushing the mishap aside. A 'I have to deal with idiots as well and I understand' was evident in his voice and on his face.

"You must be Lynne." Pluto made an educated guess. The embarrassment if he had gotten the wrong Pokemon doesn't outweigh the the benefits of having guessed right. It helped make one feel more important when others remember your name, especially if you haven't met personally. "I am Pluto Eclipse, the current Guildmaster of the Guild of the Sun." He introduced himself once more. He turned back to Laura at her question, a smile on his face to reassure his hosts that he did not take offence to Zachary's antics.

"We have just been talking about the festival. It's a fascinating custom, and must be a great way to bring your guild together. I would love to hear more about it; perhaps similar events can be held on the mainland." Taking the conversation away from the embarrassing episode helps to ease the tension. Although in a way Zachary's actions had been a good thing. They left Lynne and Laura in a position where they would have to try and redeem their guild in front of their guests.

Nova noted Lynne's coughing fit, and came to the same conclusion as Pluto. She had heard about the Guild of Season's Guildmaster as well of course. The Roserade was suddenly more interested in the conversation. She kept her attention on both the Deerling and the Purrloin, waiting for a good opportunity to politely cut into the conversation and talk to one of them.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
Melissa && Katara && Randel

Melissa nodded in agreement with the Lanturn's statements. "I wish we could come to a peaceful resolution around the guild more often." Although for someone who had never been in a single fight before joining the guild, Melissa has never had trouble in the heat of battle.

"It's great ta see so many different folks together making friends like this." Randel continued the conversation with a big grin. The Tirtouga was really enjoying himself. "And it's not that hard ta see past the Generation Gap. Why, you're a lovely example. I'd be hard pressed ta find even one of my own species as pretty as you."

Randel's smile was genuine, and so was his compliment. He made it hardly without a thought, no ulterior motives behind the words. If Melissa didn't know the naive water-type better, she would have thought he was flirting.

Katara watched it all, feeling like she should say something, but not entirely sure what. The rules of conversation Lilium had taught her had fled her the moment she had need of them.

"Um...I think you're pretty too." Katara echoed Randel, figuring that the comment was probably safe. Melissa hid back giggles.

User ImageUser Image
Chronicler && Crown

After getting as much information out of the soon-very-annoyed Pawniard, Chronicler excused herself to the relief of the steel-type. Oblivious, the Cherrim gleefully ran towards the next odd-looking Pokemon. Crown sighed and followed, her eyes darting around the hall. Maybe she should break off from Chronicler. The Cherrim was a little too excited to be able to hold a proper conversation, and Crown really wanted to just slow down and talk to someone.

((Chronicler and Crown open, anyone feel to approach them. Any 5th gen characters beware))

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
Aiden && Rebecca && Christopher

"You've come a long way." Aiden remarked. "I'll be sure to remember the name of MistMelody. I know you'll go far, and someday perhaps I can brag to my friends that I had the pleasure of personally meeting the great Era and Ethfael."

Chris glanced at his friend. Every time he wondered why they chose the Grovyle to lead their team, all he had to do was remember Aiden's way with words. God damn, if he couldn't talk his way out of everything.

"He'll be asking autographs from you two if you're not careful." He warned the two jokingly.

Beka turned when Era addressed someone behind her, and the Blaziken was alarmed for a second that the Lucario had gotten so close to her without her noticing. She couldn't have expected otherwise in such a crowded hall though, so she made a mental note to be a bit more wary of her back (it was more reflexive than out of any feelings of being threatened) and took a step forward as she turned to Jessica to create some distance between herself and the Lucario. Beka didn't like anyone being too close to her. It was harder to fight if one did break out.

"Good day." She told the Lucario, suddenly wary of the fact the other fighting type had a hand on her weapon.

Neo and this new Pokemon, Duke, stopped talking and looked at Riley, both of them looking very excited. Max lit up like a Christmas tree, eager to learn a trick.

Wilhelm & Minerva & Lia

"Oh, you'll be fine, Zachary." The Braviary adjusted his glasses slightly as he took a look at the scratches.
They weren't terribly deep and Diane was reasonably fussy about her claws... he would be fine. "Just mind your behaviour before it happens for the fourth time this week."
With the Zorua evidently fine (if annoying), the Braviary was quick to advance towards the assembled guildmasters.
It was during his strut that the Vaporeon and Azumarill stepped out from the portal and went straight towards the gathered group.
"My apologies for being late." The Vaporeon's breathing bore the suppressed hint that she had been running. "Business required that I stay a moment longer."
"Not a problem." The Braviary stepped into the conversation. "You must be the Guild masters from the main land. I am Wilhelm, the Third-in-command of Seasons. Most simply address me as Will, however; please feel free to do so. You have my welcome."
"Minerva Eclipse, Second-in-command of the Guild of the Sun." She took a quick glance around the hall and the gathered conversationalists before continuing. "This is a wonderful party you have here. It must have taken quite some effort to host, you have my thanks for the invitation."

.::Geisha & Luna::.

Geisha floated along next to their Litwick guide, and wondered for a moment how Rem was getting along with his conversation partner. She glanced back to see the Glaceon chatting animatedly at him, with Rem following along in a slightly more subdued air, though no less interested. She nodded and turned back when a Lucario joined the conversation.

He'll be fine, she assured herself, then looked up at the fountain. It certainly was lovely- why didn't the Guild of the Sun have one of these? She turned to Vladimir to ask him about it, when she noticed something. She stopped, looked behind her, twirled around in desperate pirouette, searching frantically around the hall, and, finding nothing, zoomed frantically close to Vladimir.

"Where's Luna? Did you see where she went?" Without waiting for an answer, Geisha floated away, sweeping the Hall for Luna's form, willing herself to keep calm.

Mr. Dravin will be most displeased...

---

Meanwhile, the missing Mudkip in question was sitting contentedly on the ground, looking between a Cherrim and a distinctively-colored Butterfree. She wagged her tail appreciatively at the colors of both of them, smiling widely.

"Pretty," she said happily to herself, then walked over to the pair, sitting directly in the path of their progress, still smiling widely up at them.

"Hi! My name's Luna! Who are you?" she asked, tail wagging slightly.

"Lynne I am."
A calm smile held place on the Deerling's maw as his apology was accepted by none other than a guildmaster like himself.
"Well, uhm, I guess due to our secluded climate we aren't really bound to set seasons but we nevertheless celebrate the changing over on predetermined dates. There's been years where it snowed for this gathering...Not that the idea is weird to us or anything, but after monitoring your mainland this probably all sounds foreign to you."
Lynne tried to hold his composure as he explained, surprisingly with decent ability, the workings behind his homeland. For the moment he was relaxed and showing no signs of wavering back into a bout of illness.

User Image~Mikhail
"Please, love, just smile... I know you're upset to be in such cheerful company in a time like this but we were bound to have to make a public appearance sooner or later. This guild was even attacked recently themselves and look how they bounced back."
Mikhail tried to be as supportive as possible as Eira's condition only worsened upon entering the affair. He knew she wasn't looking forward to meeting with all of her fellow high-ranking guildmembers, but as he said nothing more could be done.

Pluto && Nova

"I see. It's not that hard to understand- we sometimes have snow around the Spring Equinox as well." The Leafeon could feel his voice dying slightly, and he cleared his throat. Nova handed him a small skin of water almost without thought. "Pardon me." He apologized as he took a drink. "I'm afraid my health isn't as well as I'd wish it."

He looked back at a familiar voice, his face brightening considerably at the sight of Minerva. "Ah, and this here is my wife." He explained after her introduction.

Nova decided between stepping in or not right now. The introductions created a slight lull in the conversation she could use, and it doesn't seem like they were talking about anything too important. Pluto had created a good opening as well...

"Actually Master Lynne, I have heard that you keep a well-trained group of healers with you. I am the head of the healers in charge of taking care of Master Eclipse. With the introduction of the mainland and the Five Islands, diseases will no doubt be jumping the generation gap into populations who lack immunity. I was wondering if you can direct me to your medical staff or one who is in charge of them. I would like to propose an exchange program for healers." She explained. "This way our some of our medical staff can provide support in your guild for diseases from the mainland while learning about diseases as well as possible new healing techniques from the Five Islands, and vice versa."

Chronicler && Crown

Crown noticed the mudkip first, sitting on the ground staring up at her. She -and from her voice it was definitely a she- was small, sounded very young, and an unusual dark gray and white. Not that unusual colourations were unusual in the guild though.

"Good evening young Luna." Crown replied to the mudkip, descending to land on the ground in front of Luna so that they were on more even grounds. "My name is Crown." She introduced herself pleasantly. She liked kids. She and Chronicler had raised Team Polaris's two babies after all.

"Hey, who're you talking to Crown?" Chronicler asked, having realized the Butterfree was not following and backtracked to find her partner.

"Her name's Luna. Luna, this is my friend Chronicler." Crown introduced the Cherrim, who waved an enthusiastic hello. "And how are you doing young miss? Did anyone come here with you today?"

Crown figured most teams would not allow such a young one to come on their own. She should probably stay with Luna until they find her guardians.

Era & Ethfael & Sereni & Riley

Era laughed a bit, eyes shining merrily at Aiden's comment. The Grovyle had quite a way with words and flattery, but she couldn't say she didn't appreciate it. "You're too kind," she said with a grin, "No doubt it should be the other way around as far as I'm concerned. Team Trinity most likely has already made a name for itself. You all appear to be well-seasoned Explorers after all." Her expression was light and pleasant, she couldn't be sure of course, but it was a reasonable assumption that a Team who had been around for a few years would be known around the area, even if they didn't closely link themselves to the Guilds. She was really enjoying the trio's company, they were a nice group to have met. The Lucario still hadn't said anything, but Era was more preoccupied as her mind wandered to what she should be doing, but she quickly brushed it to the side. It was fine, they all were preoccupied and nothing but pleasurable socializing seemed to be going on from all sides, so there was no need to worry over that just yet.

Ethfael nodded in agreement with Era's earlier statement, they were very generous in their praise. "You must have seen some interesting places in your explorations," he said, "I must say though, out of all the places I've been, these Islands are some of the strangest. To think that a whole generation could have been here for so long without our realizing." It was such an odd concept, yet here they were, mingling with not only their own mainland Guild members but also with the new 5th Generation. It was rather exciting to Ethfael to see all the different Pokemon from this place.

Sereni blushed, her cheeks tinging slightly pink and light pulsing a bit faster, "Why thank you..." she murmured in response to Randel's compliment. She'd never recieved a compliment like that before and it was...well, nice. As Katara echoed the thought, she smiled, collecting herself a bit from her previous state. "Thank you too Katara," she added, the words obviously not having the same meaning coming from a female as from a male. She was catching on to the idea that the Skarmory needed to be included more forcefully than some in the conversation. "You're both very kind." She smiled a bit sheepishly, "To tell you the truth, I wasn't sure whether to dress up for the occasion or not, but the rest of the Team did, so I followed their lead. It seems like there's a mismash at any rate of people who dressed up and those who didn't, so I guess I'm alright."

When Riley only got a few definite responses, he decided to include them all anyway. After all, it couldn't hurt. "Alright, that's two, four, six, seven," he said, making sure to get everyone, "Right, here we go!" With a flourish of his cape, Riley spun around and then pointed to each of them in turn, where he pointed, a deck of playing cards appeared, in the hands of or next to all of those around him if their hands or front paws were occupied. "Alright, first thing's first, I'll perform the trick once to show you how it works." Riley sat down, his own special deck of playing cards rematerializing in his paws. "Alright, first I'm going to shuffle the deck so that you all know I can't have organized these cards," he said, shuffling the cards quickly and masterfully as he did so. "Now I need someone to pick a card out of here and memorize it, but don't tell me what it is." Riley closed his eyes and held out the cards for any one of those present to take one. They were going to enjoy this.
