Okay so you want to hear me voice my opinion?! Well here you go...
First off I want to say that I'm sorry for not being as active as I should be but I do have a damn life and things are gonna keep going down hill from where I stand. So my activeness will also be going down again, but that has been already talked about.
Secondly. I have heard nothing but people going on about the crew acting like they are "Gods". I know we do things and people mistake them as rude or whatever, but just stop and think for a minute. If we weren't here where the heck would this guild be?! Someone has to be there to perform those kinds of duties, and that person will be the same as the rest. I've keep my mouth shut for too long. I try to be nice and of course I don't, or at least try not to take my anger out on the ones in this guild.
Also people have to stop going and complaining about the way others talk. If they have a style and use like text talk when in OCC then fine let them use it, but don't go trying to change the way a person is. That's just rude and annoying.
Okay Mistah. Your idea on opening like six guilds. I kinda like it.

And you deserve one! *hands you a cookie* I agree with you and although this has been said a few times before, I personally think that you should be a crew member.
I think that auto-ranks should now be observed a bit more closer and that some of the people who aren't doing their job as an autorank should suffer penalties. Complaints of inactivity has been popping up more and more in people's posts, and having auto-ranks who don't do their job is a big part of the problem.
As far as Oto goes, I agree, it should be shut down. I think Greg, Lance, Luo, and I will need to talk about this a bit...secondary RPCs will also have to be in that discussion.
This sweep is something that will take some time but once it is completed I think we will have fixed most, if not all of our problems.

Not so sure about that separate guilds idea, wouldn't it make inter-village rp impossible? Or are you just talking about making seperate guilds that are all about OOC planning and such?
NVM read your explanation, makes sense to me.
Not sure I agree with the second rpc being need only though. I personally really enjoy having a second rpc, and am able to be active with both my rpcs. I do think that it should be important to make sure 2nd rpcs stay active though. If someone shows that they are not capable of running two rpcs and being active with both then it would make sense to limit them to one. 2nd rpcs can either be really helpful to rp or real hurtful, depending on the member's ability to do so. Harsher activity requirements would be justified for people with 2 rpcs, I don't like the idea of getting rid of them altogether.

Hm, about the separate guild thing, how are we going to mimic infiltrations with this kind of system? There are ways to gather information about super-secret plans from other villages so... yeah....

I agree with Rin! I like having a second RPC because I can't always be super active with Jade, especially when I'm teaching people, and have to wait for them! If someone proves they can't handle two rpcs, then suggest that they are scrapped.

thats exactly what I was worried about at first, look back though he posted an explanation. the guilds are for OOC, POTS will still be where all of the RP happens. The guilds could completely replace the OOC forums basically and allow for private discussion on matters.
Sosay is absolutely right about the Crew. their job is to run the guild, they were given that power for a reason. if you meet an unfair gre member report him/her to the crew or bring it up in complaints. I guess I don't lurk in enough threads, because I rarely see an argument with a crew member is doing anything I see as abusing their power. when I do see a crew member being stupid (yes, they are people too, it happens) someone generally straightens them out. Generally though they are just doing their job.
Of course, I probably look like i'm sucking up to the crew by saying this...

Basically you would have to get another village to trust you and let you into their guild, or try to get one of the members of the guild to leak information to you for a special price. @Jwlz and Rin I can understand that, but it kind of makes the hidden villages not so very hidden. I think that if you want to have a second rpc, then it should at the very least be with a village that your main character is affiliated with. Having your RPCs in separate villages that are enemies is only asking for trouble. I think a better solution would be to let people only have 2nd RPCs in allied villages and if people still feel like they need to get more RPing done, then they can sign up to play NPC roles. With this next arc we are gonna need some anyway. And NPCs are always wanted.

Like if you sneaked in and hid yourself/stole something without anyone noticing? You asked me to post my opinion in this thread, Mistah, and I have a feeling that you asked me to do so because you know that, even during my times of inactivity, I still keep a watchful eye over this guild. But the truth is, I'm not sure what you want me to say about this guild that I used to consider my place of solitude.
What do you want me to say that hasn't already been said?
I've voiced my opinion and been ignored when I did. I'm not sure that I have anything left to say
What do you want me to tell you? That one of the Crew members and one of the creators of POTS verbally assaulted one another in the middle of a public chat thread? How I got sucked into the middle of it for trying to smooth the situation out? How I nearly lost a friend over the words that were exchanged?
Or would you rather me take a different standpoint? Would you rather me go into detail about how one of our new members was crushed in a public forum for voicing her opinion on a matterconcerning illegal substances that could have been severely detrimental to the guild, since not only did it violate the Gaia ToS, but it was not something that new members should be linking to POTS?
How members are sick and tired of the crew acting like gods?
One such member, as previously mentioned, was attacked in the complaints and concerns thread. What was her offense? She did what everyone did. She did what I did several weeks beforehand. She stated her opinion. She thought it was ludicrous for people who represent our guild to be advocating to legalize the use of illegal substances, particularly, marijuana. And how was she treated for doing such? She was attacked. She had members ganging up on her left and right, with no one on her side until I stepped in. I'm not saying that some of the things she said were right for her to say. because, frankly, most of them weren't. But did anyone ever stop and think "huh. If they hadn't attacked her, she wouldn't have said any of the things she said."? did anyone other than me realize that this was the case? No.
She was threatened with an Ogoun for standing up for what she believed in.

I just felt like i couldn't take on any of them because I'm so new to the guild, and there is no one there to help me band together with. Why do you think Kurg came back? because Storm and LT and I convinced him to. he was told that POTS is a wonderful place and that it was only getting better.
Yes. I lied. I lied to get one of the creators of POTS, one of the oldest members, one of my closest friends, to come back to us.
I'm not sure that my doing such was the right choice.
POTS is dying.
Kages are going inactive.
Members are breaking rules left and right.
Crew members are acting like gods and getting away with it.
There is a reason for the rule of NO DOUCHEBAGGERY. I wonder daily why it isn't being enforced.
And then I realized that the reason behind that is because the people breaking the rule are the ones that should be enforcing it.
POTS is slowly dying. Even our guild captain hardly ever posts here anymore.
You say that it is going to get better. That you're going to make it better. You're one person. You will only do so much. And what you do will only stay that way for a short time. In order for us to completely fix POTS, the entire Crew would need to be demoted again and handpicked by you, Gregar, and Lance if he's even still active. We would need to bring in entirely new members, and begin enforcing the rules once more.
Until that happens, POTS will continue to die.

NO! Oto should be left ALONE! It's awesome, a bit slow on the activity but we are moving along none the less.
Other than that I just want to make a second rpc to train/run genin on missions and what not if there is somewhere I could be used let me know I would be more than happy to help if I am wanted to.
Also anyone who is a lil frustrated with things around guild should take a deep breath, head to your kitchen. Grab a bagel, cheese, bacon and some ground beef. Put some salt and pepper in the ground beef form a patty and cook it in the pan with the bacon. Put a slice of the cheese on the bagel stick it in the microwave for 30 seconds after the burger and bacon are done and enjoy the most delicious Bagel burger ever. If you do this and have a nice glass of cold iced tea I am sure you will feel better about just about anything. It is what I do mrgreen

Oto needs to be shut down, and the RPC's moved to other villages. all the opening of that village did was take away from the other villages. It's mostly second RPC's anyways.
I don't really like the idea of a separate guild, either...
