 Looking curiously to the small creature, Dawn simply stood straight, and took in the appearence of the girl. She had such long ears, much like an elf, perhaps? She said she was from the mountains, how incrediable. Dawn had never visited so high onto the land, but that was a fact she would keep to herself. Instead, she glanced to the location this girl pointed, and smiled. "That is a soccer ball. Used for a human game that I personally don't find much interest." After all, there was need for soccer beneath the water, and she found it rather dull to run back and forth upon a field. "I'm Dawn Solindo." added the siren, her arm extended for a polite shake, although she had met plenty that hadn't understood the gesture, so she was braced for any sort of reaction.

 "sock...car?" vera replied, lowering her hand to rub Ryuu's ears "how does one play it?" she asked, turning towards Dawn. blinking, she looked down at the hand, and took it with a firm yank up and down, but not too hard to hurt anyone. her grip was strong, and her hand rough like from heavy work, muscles feeling almost like iron or hard wood. then she touched her index knuckle to her forehead; on a dragon it was a sort of semi-formal salute with the tip of the claw, since some of them didn't have very dextrous "fingers" all the time as full beasts "Vera Silversoul-of-the-Winds..." she replied, watching the ball with avid curiosity. Greator snorted and a little fireball the size of a cotton ball came out as he glared at Dawn some more. Vera blinked, and shook her head as she looked at him "excuse you" she said with a slightly disapproving tone. he looked apologetic and croaked out something that sounded harsh and slithery, a wilder dialect of Lesser Dragon(sorry taking a while, amazingly have other stuff i am working on XD)

With a light look of curiousity as the girl preformed her own greeting, Dawn was hopeful that she wouldn't be insulted if the action was not returned, as the siren had no clue how to repeat it. Instead, she focused on the girl's question. "Well, there are two large nets on either side of a field, and players try to kick the ball into the nets." She herself wasn't to aware of the game's rules, so her description was rather vague. Giving a nod to affirm her words, Dawn went on to ask, "What race runs through your blood Vera?" Again, she hoped that no offense was committed, but her own thoughts were curious of this girl, as she seemed completely innocent to this land's ways. And before she could stop herself, another question sprang from her lips, "And what is that? It looks...like a dragon, but...it is so small."

(i would like to say vera's too clueless to be insulted, but she does have a high sense or propriety...on some things XD) Vera tilted her head to the side, thinking about the matter before answering. but before she could answer, Dawn asked something else. by this time her blush had faded, but her cheeks turned rosy again as Greator hissed and burbled something out to Dawn, Vera putting her hand to her mouth "GREATOR...that's NOT a nice thing to say. get down and stay with Ryuu..." she told him, her tone firm without being overly angry. seeming to wilt, the small drakeling started explaining himself, but stopped when Ryuu turned his head to look at the wyvern. muttering to himself, the "little dragon" minced down Vera's clothes and crouch and pout on Ryuu's broad and abnormally bigger-than-normal back. she turned her look back to Dawn, and gave a small smile "im sorry...he's very protective. yes, he's what i would call a drake....i believe what most would consider a wyvern. and im not one hundred percent what i am, though im fairly sure it's half elf, and half dragon. i don't have any parents....the main clan of dragons adopted me.....and i can handle dragon magic, so" she shrugged, still a touch embarrassed "not many can, not the stuff i learned, without dragonblood..." she rubbed the back of her neck, a long slim finger tracing the top of the dragon tattoo on her back under her top sash thing "there were other signs, as well....but" she gave a small sad smile "i can't remember" she sounded oddly cheerful, hiding her conflicting emotions

"Interesting." mused the siren absently. She was a bit taken aback at the creature's antics, but found it acceptable nontheless. It made sense that it would be protective, as it was in a new area that was very different than any mountain. Dawn listened curiously to the girl's shortened backstory and racial explanation. Having never met any sort of dragon, the siren was unsure of how to respond, but quickly found words of welcoming. "Well, welcome to Reed's. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, so many things happen." Nodding, she asked another question, although this one was more for the girl's own start on campus. "Have you already been assigned a dorm prior to arriving?"

Vera looked a touch taken aback "ah, dorms...? are those like sleeping quarters...?" she asked, sounding a touch hesitant as she tried to figure out these new terms, her voice showing some if her wild accent from living in the mountains "i just got here, really..." she said, looking around her and finally taking the rest of the details of her surroundings in(you gonna bunk her with you and your sister, or is there no room? XD *feels lazy about posting a new room*)

Nodding, Dawn answered the girl, as it was clear some terms of the language would have to be adapted to. And luckily, she could relate, as slang was something the girl was unused to before leaving the sea. "Yes, they are where you sleep, do homework, clean, stuff of that sort. Although you'll usually have another person share the space." She gave another nod of confirmation as she thought of her next words, which seemed to appeal to her quite well. "In fact, my sister and I have a family dorm...and we have plenty of room for another person, as well as any sort of companion."
{ooc: oh definitely xD otherwise im rp'ing with myself...and i don't feel like doing the front desk right now~ x^x }

(XD *lmbfao* okay, thanks....) Vera tilted her head to the side in questioning thought "then it wouldn't be quite family, would it? and i am currently unattached" she said, since companion could refer to a lover as well, and often was as a formal attachment to someone's household. she moved her head to the side "i would need room for my friends as well...and Greator's unique qualities" she said, referring to acidic droppings

Letting a smile to cross her features, Dawn simply reworded her sentences, as she realized how they were recieved by the girl. "By companion I meant pet. Although I do not think little dragon would want to be called a pet." Still smiling as she glanced at the wyvern, she went on, adding politely, "As for family, I do not mind, and I am sure my sister won't either. It is far too big as it was designed for up to five people."

Aiden walked silently approaching the school gates his sister close behind her head down not wanting anymore people to whisper about how her and her brother had such odd purple eyes.. Aiden was being worshipped like he was a god, it was rare to be a male siren, and half angel as well for the matter and every girl seemed to melt with each step he took.. He looked over at his sister Aiko uneasily she seemed quieter than usual.. She was usually loud and happy rambling about everything, he cleared his throat, "Aiko.. Is something bothering you?" He asked in his deep charming voice, girls eyes practically turned to hearts hearing him speak, it was only natural being part siren the two could catch about anyones eye. Aiko clutched a picture of her mother slipping it into her pocket quickly looking up at her brother with her strikingly violet eyes she smiled her sweet smile "No.. I'm just not used to this many people staring is all.."
She said softly in her lovely voice, embarrassed, it was true she'd gone to an all girl school her whole life, after her mothers death everything changed. "It's because we're sirens. It's normal." He replied pushing her lightly the way siblings did. "You know in the stories, about us sirens, sang beautiful songs near dangerous rocks, which lured the men who sailed near them out of commission, crashing their boats on the rocks and drowning them. Usually beautiful fair maidens..." She rambled her brother smiled seeing she was back to her normal chatty self "But you're a guy, and we don't eat humans... So... The story can't be right.." She added tapping a finger to her chin thinking. Her brother laughed at how clueless his sister was."Stereotypes?" He replied as the made their way to the school.

(np XD at least your setup for them's nicer than mine ^^; i don't do much screen stuff, though people are nice enough to occassionally resize my pics for me since im clueless for that on paint rolleyes lol...) hearing some melodic voices, Vera had her mouth open to speak when an her ears twitched. closing her mouth she blinked and stared at the two sirens with a blank face. she noticed their beauty...especially the guy's...and then turned back to Dawn, uninterested and not really too terribly affected by his charm "no, he doesn't like to think of himself as a pet..." she answered with a shy smile as she held a finger up to said wyvern's nose as he opened it, about to complain. cross-eyed looking at the finger he shut up, grumphing as he flopped back onto Ryuu's back, who growled in a low tone since the wyvern was HEAVY despite his small size, from all the muscles and scales. this whole scene made Vera laugh, a bright happy airy sound. shaking her head at her friends, she just grinned happily at Dawn "then i think i shall accept ^^" she said with a smile "us three and you two...five people, twould be perfect" she said, thankful as she gave Dawn a small bow "i promise i will help earn my keep" she said, knuckling her salute to her forehead again(i would laugh if aiden was all like "wtf??" cuz Vera's just meh towards him XD)

Simply shrugging off the thanks, Dawn spoke politely, telling Vera sincerly, "Your own job is to do well in classes." Smiling, she turned slightly at the sound of new voices, and her smile only grew. The two students, that stood only a few feet away, were definitely sirens. Their light voices, and natural beauty, everything pointed tthe race, and it excited the green-haired girl. Since attending Reed's, Dawn was only able to have the company of her sister and mermaids; so naturally, sirens were a nice sight among campus. Happily, she called out to the two, hoping to catch thier attention. "Sirens?"

Aiden felt more eyes on him but as always he ignored it. He disliked how people judged him by his looks, he liked it best when girls tried to talk to him, even if they were shy he found it charming they'd try to talk to him. Being beautiful, as a guy wasn't as great as it seemed if he were to dress as a girl he'd look like one, he knew because of Aiko! She was so foolish sometimes, the guys at his old all guy school even flirted with him, although he looked more like a female at the time.. He sighed shaken from his thoughts, when a girl said "Sirens?" he smiled his sweet smile his gentle eyes studying the girl, she was rather cute, as was her friend.. He opened his mouth about to reply when loud little Aiko replied instantly.
Aiko beamed her beautiful bright smile, she really looked like a model, men were all staring at her like they'd seen an angel, she was a demon though~ And men bored her, so she didn't talk to them, unless she was hungry.. Or they were fun to be around~ She nodded her head once in front of her brother interrupting him. "Yes we are~ How did you know that? Oh! And not only that but I'm part demon, he's part angel, my mother messed up you see I'm a mistake, I-" she rambled on and on, Aiden now in front of his sister gently held his hand in front of her mouth giving her a concerned look with his violet eyes, she was always such an open book.. "I'm sorry my sisters, a bit open at times.." He said gently looking at Aiko with mournful eyes he always had a sad look to him no matter what mood he was in, it made him look so mysterious you could say.He now was in front of Dawn he gently took her, and her friends hands bowing slightly he kissed the top of one than the others hand with his soft lips. "I'm Aiden, and my sister is Aiko, and who do I have the pleasure of meeting..?" He asked, looking at Dawn now she was the one to talk to him first after all. He didn't want to be a pervert, high classed as the two were that was how true gentle men greeted woman. "Sorry I ramble a lot, I'm Aiko, and my brothers to classy for words." She said holding her cheek with one hand blushing embarrassed from earlier but still giving a proper curtsy. She'd done it again, rambling was her weakness you could say, but she threw in a small insult for her brother, the girls might like it now but latter it'd get on their nerves, like it did hers! Maybe they'd be friends with her and come over some time~

Vera looked slightly uncomfortable, but then Dawn turned away. so she couldn't see the determined expression Vera assumed. blinking, her face went blank as she tilted her head to look at the incoming newcomers "sirens...? i've read about them....poor odysseus" she said, having read Homer from the original Greek. she loved different languages, and her adept control of air apparently also spilled over into vocal abilities too. hearing their tones and thinking of their diphthongs* as notes, she started humming them under her breath in though. her voice was clear and strong, and while not crystal clearly beautiful, had a catching haunting quality to it that made a couple students look over at her, comment, then move on with more looks behind them. she just stood there, looking down in thought with a hand to her mouth in a thinking pose. Greator chirruped and jumped down to sit at her feet like a cat, his tail swishing side to side in tune to her tune based off of the sirens' conversation(maybe i should join XD have a full sea dragon who's always mistaken for a mermaid or siren XD but isn't...yet s/he still has a lovely voice. better yet, have a guy that looks like a girl XD that's a beautiful and VAIN sea serpent XD)

With a faint smile, Dawn was able to catch most of what was said and done between the three other people around her. However, she was rather surprised that the boy was so polite, and she returned his actions with the same polite tone. "Nicely met, I am Dawn Solindo. Of the Solindo sirens." She nodded once with her hands clasped politely for affirmation before continuing, "And no worries, my sister enjoys speaking, so I can understand the situation." Glancing to Vera, she studied for a moment the reactions the girl gave. In fact, it seemed all present had a nice knack for singing and holding wonderful vocals.
