"I recall reading about that incident in a report during an investigation on Will." Faleen looked up from her work, calling Nyx had been involved with it. neat little bit of information, especially about Langley. She had read up a lot on the Rocket reports involving Will and Lance, when Seth had sent her here to look though his room.
"It would have been nice if that had raised more red flags about Will than it did."

"I never liked him." Nyx sneered, "My gut reaction was to call him a traitor and accuse him of switching the DNA on us- Suppose I should have listened to my gut. But I never liked him after that." The only reason she hadn't raised alarms had been that, at the time, it seemed more like switching the blame and less like an actual belief that he was an enemy. Though she wasn't one to form grudges, she was the type to cling to them despite all logic once they were formed.
The Spinarak on her shoulder turned head, curious at what the humans were talking about. "Ktch?"
"What were you here for?"

Faleen wore a bit of an awkward grin when Nyx explained her feeling on Will, even back when he was disguised as a Grunt. That gut feeling had been right on the money, Faleen had to admit, she was a little envious of that.
When the question turned back to her, she answered it with out much of a hesitation. only to think of how to word it. Wasn't much use dancing around it though. "I came here to spend time with Will, actually." She wore a bit of a sheepish smile as she looked back up at Nyx "It would have been nice if I had some of your foresight to suspect something." She certainly looked embarrassed about it, shoulder rising and falling in a light shrug.

"It was coincidence, really, that it turned out that way." Nyx didn't sound accusatory or upset that Faleen had been... friends with Will; Though it was sort of gross, but only because Will was stupid. "I have a tendency to jump to conclusions when accidents that put me under scrutiny happen." It was entirely possible that Nyx was, maybe, trying to make Faleen feel better.
Who was Will? Would she meet him too? Doubtful, the way her human spoke of them... Maybe she would be introduced to other humans, though? And pokemon? Did her trainer have other pokemon? Had she been her first? The Spinarak was full of questions but was unable to ask them, so she settled for fiddling with her human's hair.
"If it helps, I haven't thought that about anyone else I've met so far." Deserters were another thing. There were plenty of Rockets who had joined without realizing what they were getting in to, and at least one who had openly expressed intentions on leaving.

Will had been... Just slightly pathetic, if Faleen had to choose a word, But thats probably why Faleen even gave any effort in associating with him. She had seem much of herself in that fictional persona. A Grunt, doing a mundane task day after day, having trouble working with and understanding his pokemon, didn't seem close to anyone at base. It didn't help that she had met him in a time of her Rocket career that she was trying desperately to prove her worth to an Elite who though she was utterly useless and insubordinate.
Looking back she wasn't surprised with how things had gone, and in the end, she just had to throw it up to being at the wrong place at the wrong time. She had moved past that though. Because of her own drive and talents she had worked her way up to a job she took great delight in, and thanks to the help of Agent Nyx and Mau, she was able to take on a much more officiant training regiment with her Pokemon.
The Elite she had been trying to prove herself to had even said she was competent~
"I can't blame you, you were a grunt at the time you mentioned? So you were able to overcome it and promote to Agent" Faleen knew that Nyx had been an agent for quite some time. At least what Will had done hadn't affected Nyx to badly.
"Lets hope finding traitors and deserters isn't a common accurate in the organization." It was bound to happen, with as many rockets as there were, but hopefully not to often. It was honestly refreshing talking to Nyx, she seemed loyal.
Twirling the screw driver between her fingers a few times, before snapping the casing back into place and spinning the screws back into place to secure the panel. She slipped the tools back into the case before snapping it shut as well, rising to her boots and looking over at Nyx and the Spinarak. "... you" she said after a moment, and pointing to the spider "Maybe she could show us how she got in here. What do you think Nyx?"

"Not a bad idea. That'd at least make fixing the problem easier for the outpost..." Not that she was really fond of making things easier on them, since they seemed to do absolutely nothing around there.
The spider turned her head curiously. How she got there? How did any wild pokemon get anywhere? The Spinarak, still unnamed, was placed on the ground by Nyx, "Go on, how did you get in?" The pokemon chittered briefly and started scurrying across the floor and up one of the walls, where she clung patiently near by a vent.
"... Of course." The grate on the vent seemed to be loose, visible even from where Nyx was standing, though if you didn't look up very much, like most scientists tended to do, it would be easy to miss.

Faleen walked over to the vent when the Spinarak indicated that this was where it had come from. grabbing a stool from one of the work stations she tossed it down by the wall so she could stand on it to better reach the vent. easily able to pull it off the wall. "... honestly, it would take three screws to keep this down"
Frowning softly, knowing she wouldn't be able to fit in the vent, she peered in it though, glancing each way. "This would explain why they can get in the walls to." Pulling her head out she looked over at the Spinarak. "Can you show where this leads out to?"

The unfortunate thing about pokemon was that they tended to be more clever than your common field mouse. A few screwed down vent could keep pokemon out, but only for a while. The base had the advantage of being in the middle of a desert.
"Ktch-chu." The Spinarak squeezed past Faleen and the vent and disappeared down the metal tunnel.
"Maybe they should put a guard pokemon in here to keep the wild ones out." Never mind the fact she'd just found a pokemon she wanted because wild pokemon loved to make their city homes in abandoned-style and underground buildings. "... I wonder when she's coming back."

"There are also fields we could set up pretty easy to keep them off," not all of there devices were -legal- but that usually wasn't the biggest concern of Team Rockets. "Quite easily actually."
She leaned forward watching the Spinarak disappear into the vent. reaching to her belt to pull out a small flashlight, she pushed herself up as far as she could to shine the light down, seeing if she could find the spider pokemon.

The Spinarak seemed to have disappeared past some bend in the vent systems, nowhere to be seen. Five minutes passed before the clicking of skittering legs in the vents could be heard; Not long after, the spider pokemon peeked out from behind a corner and then jerked back, startled by Faleen's flashlight.
"Well. How do we find where she's gone?" Nyx scratched her head. It was a problem, the pokemon could be exiting the vents anywhere...

"Oh, sorry" She said to the pokemon when she returned, clicking the light off and pulling back into the.
"It'll be simple enough" Faleen answered, already having a solution to the problem. Reaching a hand in to help the Spinarak out, Faleen stepped off of the stood and sat, pulling her bag to her and pulling out her new datapad. "I can download the base's blueprints, it should have a layout of the vents." turning the tablet on, she pulled on one of her gloves form her uniform, using it to tap at the screen, using the secure link to access the branch files. "if you don't mind Spinarak wearing some kind of beacon I can have her show us that way, so it registers on here just where the problem is" It would cut out a lot of hunting around the vents for where the Spinarak was trying to lead them.

"I should really name her, shouldn't I?" Nyx remarked absently while Faleen was explaining that she would strap a beacon to the pokemon. "I don't have a problem putting a tracker on her and letting her go running."
The Spinarak climbed from Faleen's hand and onto her shoulder where it proceeded to bounce excitedly, happy just to be wanted. "Sssssss!"
"Seems she doesn't mind either..." In fact, the pokemon would put up no fight whats-so-ever when Faleen put the beacon on it.

"Alright, good, then we can get this functioning" When the Spinarak came over and once again climbed on Faleen, the Agent looked over at her, her eyebrows arched, but she didn't say anything. Taking a moment to get the get the gear ready, she shuffled through the compartments in her bag, retrieving a small case that she pulled a small tag from.
As she worked in getting the beacon active and synced with her tablet, Hazel eyes glanced over to the spinarak once more, before she looked over to Nyx. "What kind of name do you think will suit her?" she asked the other Agent.

"I'm not sure... she's very," Nyx paused, trying to think of the word. "Different." The Spinarak chittered briefly at this word, then peeked over Faleen's shoulder to see what she was doing.
"Oh!" Nyx clapped her hands together. "I know! Belle!"

"Belle" Faleen repeated, reaching up to the Spinarak to fit the beacon strap around the pokemon's neck. "What makes you choose Belle than?" she asked, while pushing herself up, taking the Spinarak into her hand, putting her into the vent. "we're going to test this out first. I need you to walk down the vent, and come back, okay?"
