"Booms!" Oh yeah, disaster flicks totally fit his tastes. That was his favorite genre! Especially if they were bad disaster flicks. Or bad creature flicks. One of his favorites involved a shark with a missile instead of a tail fin. -Yeah-, that had been awesome.
With Elton practically in his lap, the blonde laughed and settled back to enjoy the movie and the company. The wiggling dog proved a great distraction, keeping Demy's mind on what was going on in that room, rather than what could be going on with the missing officers...
"He's just excited for having company, besides...I feed him tacos!"

"You only say that because you don't get to deal with him mooching all the time." Ashley rolled her eyes, but she was smiling.
Just tonight. He needed tonight, as much as she knew what they would be doing. He needed tonight or she was going to have to pick him up from the floor and then... That wouldn't be of any help at all.
The movie passed quickly enough, and Ashley yawned. It might have been exaggerated - it was hard to tell. "Well, we should head on to bed, no ? We're getting up early tomorrow after all..."

Demy didn't want to admit he was tired, but no matter how many times he said he wasn't his body read otherwise. Eyes drooping and fighting to keep a yawn inside the boy reluctantly hauled himself off the couch. Really, he didn't want to sleep at -all-, but as soon as they were up they'd be back to hitting the streets and looking for the officers...
Maybe a bit of sleep was a good idea.
"Kay...night Ashley." He wrapped her up in a tight hug, seeming to not want to let go. If anything ever happened to her...
No. Nothing would happen to her. Demy slowly released the girl, patted the dog on his head, and then moved off to what would likely be a dreamless night once he passed out as soon as he hit the pillow.
