What . . . what was this? Aksaja could hardly think of doing ANYTHING else to help these two right now. Especially not something as . . . as . . . insignificant as finding a stupid key.
But the alternative was to let his mind dwell more on the deaths . . . the loss. So with a rather dispirited sound, he tugged his pendant out and focused on it. The thing hummed softly and he swung it around a little until that humming got a bit louder. Great, hide and seek.

Sin moved and realized she must be going in the wrong direction, because the sensation started to fade from the pendant. She sighed and turned to try another way, but her mind, her heart wasn't really in it. She was still thinking of everyone they had lost getting here, to this...and for what? Their supposed mission was a failure, they hadn't rescued anyone, if anything they had condemned their own.

Perhaps because she had been wearing the pendant for so long, perhaps because she believed it was supposed to help her, or perhaps just because of sheer dumb luck. Sin found the key, she followed the steady thrum of her pendant tears in her eyes. She thought of everyone they had lost, of her desire to go back home. She thought of all those who had survived, everyone who needed to get the jack out of this place. She kicked over a rock and there it was. She bent and retrieved it then held it out towards Famine her eyes narrowed. "Get us out of here!"

(( Yay Sin! ))
Aksaja frowned, turning again . . . and the hum got a bit softer. Wrong way, apparently. He sighed, trying to find another direction to move in . . .
When suddenly, Sin kicked over a rock of all things and FOUND THE KEY. Oh good. "I'm with her, let's GO," he muttered, moving to stand closer to the demoness. Sin was currently kind of his hero . . . ine.

When they finally reached the next room the girl (Famine) started shouting stuff about a key and pendents. Sammy had neither of these, all she had was a mentally scared ghoulfriend, a mace, and a desire to kill someone. "I don't even have one of those stupid charms, I went to the human world trying to grab one. Now my friends are dead and one of you is talking about using us as BAIT!?" She swung her mace low at the ground knocking rubish about stalking towards Famine with pure malice and rage in her yellow eyes.
"You get us the jack damn hell out of here or I swear I will kill you and everyone else involved in this fraked up island!"

West turned as Sin, then Aksaja shouted things about leaving. Yeah, that would be nice. "Where's th'key go now?" he growled, looking around at the students who remained. Every last one of them was a mess, and the harsh light of all these pendants wasn't doing them any favors. "Barth!" he yelled, spotting his fellow avarice demon shuffling along at the back the group. Honestly, he was the last demon West had expected to see alive. "You're... uh... not dead?"

Sepheran panicked a bit as they all filed through. It was so cramped and with the chaos of the blades he soon felt his hand slip from Arachne's he was lost in the throng of people being swept away by the others. Luckily he somehow managed to evade the blades that cut down the others.
As people began following the two figures Sepheran could only think to try and do the same hoping Arachne had made it through and wasn't left behind, like the soft thuds of bodies he heard fall nearby him earlier. Arachne...Sepheran hoped with all his heart so was safe. He didn't want to lose anyone else...and what about his other friends? Did they make it he wondered...nothing much he could do for now except continue to follow as best he could.

Bul did as he was told and lifted his pendant focusing all of his energy and FEAR into it as he could but alas was not close to finding the key. Instead he followed the other very closely, making sure not to stray far.

Carthusia stumbled into the dead-end, watching in bleary-eyed disbelief, clinging to as many students as she could. How many made it out of the carnage? Jacking hell... "Barth...? West...?" Pride stumbled over to her avarice brethren and gave them exhausted hugs. "Thank Jack but... what's going on?" Carry didn't have a pendant with her. What the hell was all this?

Tybalt barely had enough time to react, never mind dodge. One second they were in something like a crowded box, the next---freaking blades were impaling students from all around him. It was enough to startle a yelp out of the black dog.
"W-what was that!?" Was all he could manage; following after the two, as he watched the unfortunate few vanish from sight. He felt sick. Sick because he recognized a few of them.

Sammy moved towards Carry keeping an eye always trained on Siddie even trying to wave the ghoul over so she was near by to be safe. Though it seemed she wouldn't be moving with the look of horror still painted on her face. Once near Carry and the other Avarice demons she offered her thoughts.
"One of those bastards said something about us as bait for something. We can't stay here we need o get out, or be ready for a fight. We can't let anyone else die... we can't..."
Her voice trailed off as Jericho, Riley, and Maladore flashed through her mind again. No more dead, no more friends dead. No.

Slow, so slow, but Barth was healthy, relatively.
Not everyone in the group was.
At the middle of it, sitting in his stomach and keeping him moving was a very, very black mood. It hadn't grown into fury. It was too cold for that. Not despair, either, although close enough. It wasn't a mood for fetching things in. But through it, a familiar voice that wasn't a scream.
Add one more to the tally.
"Wesssssst!" he said in surprise. "Yessss," he wasn't even trying to suppress the hissing, "Alive. Feeling like murder, though. I..."
And another. If it had been anyone else hugging him, he might have collapsed into it, but as it was he pulled as tight as a spool of piano wire. Did Carry expect him to trust her? After... he pulled away sullenly as she released him.
"Sssso lead the way," he said to Sammy, tone short.

Tsetsiliya stumbled out of the portal, her hands splayed out to stop an impending fall, but luckily (or unluckily, depending) there were plenty of students backed up to prevent it from happening. She blinked and righted herself fully.. everyone was stopped. What was going on? Staying still was never a good option in a place of danger.
Loud voices, pushy voices, carried over the crowd, and Tsetsiliya turned her head just in time for the blades to descend and the sound of panic to rise in the group of students.
She dropped into a low crouch when the blades drew near and covered her head with her hands. A few hairs were shorn from her head in the sudden movement, and a chill danced up her spine; she had to move, she had to move. The moment she saw an opening, she dashed through as fast as her body would allow her to go. All around, the shadows of students being struck down danced at the edges of her vision. Some literally fell in pieces before dissipating, and her stomach heaved into her mouth. But her nerves won the battle and she kept moving. Where were her friends? She had to find someone, anyone.
"A-Alessa! Belladonna, Carry?" She attempted to call out ahead of her but her voice came in nothing but a frightened whimper. It was likely for the best, seeing as she was moving in the direction that the two from earlier (the ones who had caused this) had gone. But from the scattered few she did see on her way, none looked familiar. She was.. really in this alone, wasn't she? Another duo was stalled before her momentarily. It was the long hair trailing behind such an elegant figure that gave Tsetsiliya her first sign of relief since reaching the cove.
"B-Belladonna! Carry!" she cried in a hoarse whisper and jogged forward. She reached a hand out to each, ready to grasp their arms and know they were real and here with her. Peering over their shoulders, she saw other familiar faces: Barth and West were here, the dog boil from earlier as well. She also saw the cause of the hold-up: the two strangers were stalled, talking about pendants. Some of the students had pulled theirs out, the glows dancing as they moved across the room, looking for something (a key, is what one of the figures said?). Tsetsiliya felt her heart drop into her stomach.
Something was not right. Not that it mattered anyway, since she did not have a pendant herself, but.. searching for what these strangers wanted.. she felt it had to be a trap.
