A nod from Ciúin managed to create some ripples in the water. He could not argue with that. "Maybe, one day I could come over and play them?" there was a hopeful lilt in his voice. To be honest, he didn't know many other spawn and he considered far fewer his friends. So, anytime he found someone's company he enjoyed, he wanted to get to know them... and hang out more than just once.

"Soooo..." he was running out of things to say, not to mention, he was sure that his mom was probably going to tell him he needed to get out of the pool soon. He glanced at the clock, seeing that he had been there for a couple hours now. Wow, time did fly when you were having fun! And he'd only been talking to Áróra! He hadn't even played with any of the water equipment in the pool or played on the jungle gym! "My mom and I will probably be leaving soon. Before we go, though, would you like to go down the water slide with me a few times?" His smile was hopeful, Áróra was the most interesting and kind spawn he'd met so far!

Áróra’s eye lit up at the mention of him coming over to her house. She had never had any friends over before and the thought of it made her smile. “That would be great!” she eagerly exclaimed, “You should definitely come over and play! It would be fun! Oh! And it would give me a chance to tell you if I had any luck finding the voice when I go to my flying class!” She really hoped he would come over, she couldn’t wait!

“Aww, you will be leaving soon?” Áróra was currently quite oblivious to the time; she had not noticed, in the slightest, that hours had passed. She was disappointed to hear that he would be leaving soon, but his suggestion sounded really fun. “Sure! That sounds real fun! Let me just tell my daddy where I am going first.”

At that Áróra quickly paddled to the edge and pulled herself out. Quickly scurrying over to Vilyum, she exclaimed, “Daddy! I am going to go down the slide with Ciúin!”

Laughing, he replied, “Sure, but slow down, you might slip if you rush over there.”

“Ok, daddy.”

At that she hopped back into the water and stated to Ciúin, “Ok. I’m all ready!”

"Alright, let us go," Ciúin spun around in the water, so he was swimming with his belly down. His style of swimming, with his large tail, was a kin to a crocodile's. The bulky tail slowly waved back and forth under the surface as he drifted towards the slide. He didn't want to go too fast on the chance that his friend couldn't keep up. He was still low enough in the water, however, so his ears were under the surface, just in case Áróra needed to tell him something. It's not like it was a long swim or anything, the slide was easily visible from the place where both parents sat, but, just in case, he wanted to keep her close. The water did get a little deeper near the exit of the slide, that way you didn't hit the bottom of the pool when you came shooting out.

Near the slide, Ciúin stood, his golden wings shaking off the water. He held out a hand to help Áróra out of the water and into the small line that led to the top of the slide. Once she was successfully on land, he hauled his mass unto the concrete behind her. "You can go first, I have been down this slide before. It is fun." He beamed down at his friend and hoped that she would enjoy the trip down as much as he always did.

Áróra couldn’t help but giggle as she saw Ciúin take off in his crocodile swim. It would be awesome so swim like that, unfortunately, she lacked a necessary limb. Not wanting to get left behind, just because she had been sitting there, watching him swim, she took off after him. Her attempts at swimming were far less elegant. The water weights, though effective at keeping her from floating too much, did little to give her even distribution of weight. Also, she had little training in proper strokes. She did what appeared to be an odd cross between a breast stroke and a front crawl. It was far from glamorous, but probably owing much to the strength behind her strokes, she was mostly able to keep up. She didn’t really get a chance to say a word during it though; her face was mostly buried in the water, only coming up for the occasional breath.

She couldn’t help but giggle again as Ciúin helped her out. “Thank you,” she exclaimed with a grin as she reached the concrete. With a laugh and a smile, she replied, “Ok” and then popped into line.

The line went be rather quickly and soon it was Áróra’s turn. Before going down, she turned to Ciúin and happily stated, “See you at the bottom!” She jumped in and squealed with delight the whole way down. She was having so much fun; the slide was amazing! With a plop she hit the water at the bottom and went over to the side to wait for Ciúin.

Ciúin could kind of make out the sound of Áróra squealing as she went down the slide. Judging by the tone, he assumed she was enjoying it, but he wouldn't know for sure until he got down to the bottom and asked her. When he was given the okay to go, he dove on his belly, cruising all the way to the bottom with a big grin on his face. Diving head-first into the water and creating a big splash amused him even more.

His read head popped out of the water and he swam over to Áróra, utilizing his normal, croc-swimming method. His sharp-toothed grin was as wide as it could be as he spoke, "Did you like it? Would you like to go again? I still have time." Ciúin didn't want to push her into doing anything she didn't want to, but did enjoy that slide.

“That was so much fun,” Áróra exclaimed once Ciúin had approached her. She punctuated her statement with a flap of her wings that managed to lift her a bit into the air, as they made their way downward against water. “It was like I was flying along the water!” she explained with a grin on her face and her arms outspread. For the moment, she seemed lost to the fact that she actually had wings, and that she didn’t need to use her arms to gesticulate flying. Her gaze drifting upwards and she uttered, more as a statement then a question, “I wonder if it will feel like that when I am actually up there.” Looking once more at Ciúin, she answered his question, “Of course I would like to go again!” At that, she beckoned to him to follow and made her way to the ledge.

An actual, rolling laugh escaped Ciúin as Áróra flapped her arms and wings in excitement. His laugh gradually died down into a broad, happy smile. He had missed her wondering about flying, but caught that she was more than happy to go again. "Okay! Let us go!" He was quite happy that she wanted to go again. He followed her to the edge, then helped her out again. He pulled himself out again and saw the clock, he probably had enough time to go down the slide once more before his mother called him to go home. But, he didn't let him bother him right, he was having fun. "Oh! Try going down on you tummy! That is my favorite way to go down the slide!"

“Thank you again!” Áróra exclaimed, with a smile, as Ciúin helped her out of the pool again. She jumped into place at the end of the line, which was, luckily, still rather short. Turning back to him, as they waited in the line, she replied with a giggle, “So on my tummy this time? That sounds fun!” She appeared a bit anxious to get back on it, slightly rocking in place as the line moved. Luckily, she didn’t have to wait long, it was soon her turn. She stood up on the ledge of the slide, it was her time to make her ascent, but first she turned back to Ciúin and gave him a quick wave. Then she jumped onto the slide; sliding down on her tummy, as he had suggested, was quite thrilling. She was rushing downward, head first, squealing with delight. It was even better then the first time, she was glad she had listened to his advice. Before she knew it, she had hit the bottom of the slide and splashed into the water below. Still smiling, she moved over to the side to wait for Ciúin.

Ciúin nodded and smiled warmly as Áróra waved at him. After the wave, she was gone in a flash, down the slide. His clawed toes ticked on the ground as he eagerly awaited his turn, more so he could ask her how she liked going down on her stomach as opposed to her backside. Once he was given the okay again, he rushed to the slide, wasting no time in jumping on his tummy and riding the water down. Again his head dove into the water and you quickly popped up, swimming over to Áróra. "How did you like that? Fun, right?" He nodded, sending drops of water everywhere.

“It was great, especially going down it on my tummy!” Áróra exclaimed, smiling widely at Ciúin. He gaze directed towards the slide, but still facing Ciúin, she added, with a giggle, “I will be sure to go down the slide every time I come here! And on my tummy!” It really was a lot of fun, she was glad that Ciúin had first suggested they go down it and then had suggested the tummy down positioning. She wasn’t aware though, that he would probably have to depart, so she asked, still smiling, “Would you like to go down again? And any more suggestions for it?”

A loud whistle shot through the air before Ciúin could answer Áróra. He knew immediately that it was Moira, so he stood and waved to his mother, letting her know that he heard. With a rather heavy look, he finally replied, "As much as I would like to go again, I am afraid that I have to go. That was my mom." A small smile crept was forced on his face. He didn't want to leave on a sad note. "I really hope that we can meet again, and if you would like another suggestion for the slide, I do have one more. It it a little tricky, though. Go down like normal, sitting on your bottom, then tuck yourself into a small ball. After that, try spinning around while going down. I have only been able to do it a little bit. My tail gets in the way." He chuckled lightly and sighed.

"Thank you for having fun with me today, Áróra!" His smile widened and he gave her a big hug. He hoped that she didn't mind, because it was the only thing that he could really give her at this time. When he pulled away his bi-colored eyes looked a little sad, but hopeful. "I had better go, or my mom will whistle again and it will be louder." Another, short, widening of the smile and he headed towards the side of the pool where his fiery-haired mother awaited him.

Climbing out, she asked, "Did you have fun?" He nodded and she smiled. As she began to dry him off so he could get his clothes back on, he looked back to Áróra, smiling sheepishly. He felt so silly whenever his mom dried him off, but he knew why she was doing it. He didn't want to get cold, or worse, sick. After he was all dry, he started getting dressed, looking very miserable all bundled like he was. Luckily for him, though, the ride home wasn't too bad (he usually slept).

Áróra was disappointed that he had to leave, but she knew that just because she wanted him to stay longer, didn’t mean that Ciúin could. “Aww, so soon? Well I guess if you have to.” Hearing his next comment, though, she couldn’t help but exclaim with a giggle, “Yes, definitely! You should come over to my house! And, so, go down sitting and tuck myself into a ball and spin? Ok! I will do that next!” As much as she liked tails, the fact that she didn’t have one could prove useful in this technique.

Giggling, she replied, “You don’t have to thank me. I had lots of fun as well!” She was a bit surprised by the hug; she didn’t mind it, but wasn’t expecting it; after the momentary shock, though, she hugged him back. “Bye Ciúin,” she called out as he headed to the side of the pool, “I hope to see you again soon!” She waved to him, when she noticed him looking back, while he was drying off, and then hurried to the side of the pool to get out.

Áróra hurried over to Vilyum and, tugging at the side of his shirt with one hand and pointing with the other, she quickly let out, without taking a breathe, “Quick daddy! Before he leaves! I met a boy; he is nice; his name is Ciúin; do you have paper and a pen or pencil or something else to write on? You have to give his mommy our address and phone number before he goes; he is over there!”

Vilyum couldn’t help but laugh as she jumped and pointed in the boy’s direction. “Ok, let’s see, I should have something to write on in here somewhere.” Digging through his coat, that was draped over the chair, he pulled out a pen and a scrap of paper; it appeared to be a receipt. After scribbling his address, phone number, and their names on it, he walked over to the boy and his mom, Áróra right at his heels.

They reached them just as Ciúin had finished getting dressed. Turning to Ciúin’s mom, he explained and held his right hand out to shake, “Hello, I am Vilyum and the little one, right being me, is Áróra; Ciúin has apparently made quite the impression on her, and she wanted to make sure I gave you our address and phone number, so that maybe they could play some time.” With his other hand he held out the receipt which the information had been quickly, though not so quickly as to be illegible, copied onto.

"Oh," Moira chuckled, taking the piece of paper from Vilyum. "Thank you. I do appreciate the kind gesture. My name's Moira, by the way, Moira Flynn." A warm smile greeted the two as she tucked the paper in the book she'd been reading previous. She didn't want to lose it, and that was the best place to put it in her mind. After she'd successfully put the book away in her purse, she began digging for her wallet, in which she had her business card. Since she worked from home, it was the best thing to give others if they needed to contact her in some way. Ciúin smiled at Áróra, pretty sure he knew what was going on.

"Aha," she exclaimed, finally finding the thing in the mess she called a handbag. Pulling out the wallet and opening it without a thought, she produced a business card. The card itself was rather plain, with a small flower logo in one corner and her name, address, and phone in the center. "Sorry, it's the best I 'ave at the moment. 'ope that'll be okay." She smiled sheepishly, feeling silly that she was giving her business card to him.

Once they'd exchanged information, Moira hitched up her bag on her shoulder and looked at Ciúin. "Ready?" Ciúin nodded and she returned her attention to Vilyum. "Thank you again, and sorry to run, but I need to get 'ome and attend to the plants. We'll see you both later!" A nervous chuckle and Moira, with Ciúin in tow, left the pool.

As they were leaving, Ciúin couldn't help but feel good. Not only did he get to go swimming today, but he met someone he now considered a friend. And he was certain that he'd get to see her again.

“Well, greetings Moira; it’s a pleasure, I’m sure.” Vilyum returned the smile and as he saw her stick the paper in her book, he made the comment, "I should of thought of bringing a book, would of been the perfect time to catch up." Áróra, peeking around Vilyum, returned Ciúin’s smile and gave him a quick wave. When Moira offered her card, he took it in his hand and, after a quick glance at it, pulled his wallet out of his back, right pocket and slid it into a side pocket. “No need to apologize about the card, I mean really, I should be the one doing that, handing you a scribbled on receipt and such." Adding with a laugh, "Luckily it was just for a convenience store, nothing I would have to worry about returning." It was really kind of silly to go around handing out ones address and phone number on the back of a receipt. He considered possibly getting some business cards printed out, but had no idea what he would actually put on the things. "Well, if you need to get to your plants, I shan’t keep you any longer, good day; till our paths cross again.”

“Good bye!” Áróra called out, still peeking around Vilyum. She was glad that they had reached him and his mom in time; she wanted to make sure that she would have the opportunity to see him again and didn't want to risk that not happening due to not having each others information.

At their departure, Vilyum turned to Áróra and inquired, “Well, it is getting kind of late, shall we head off now?”

“One more time down the slide, please!” Áróra pleaded. She had to make sure that she had a chance to go down the slide the way Ciúin had suggested, before he left.

Laughing, he replied, “Sure, one more time.”

“Yay!” Áróra replied as she hurried to the slide.

“I said don’t rush, you’re still wet!” he called out to her as she went.
