Alejandra had to try very hard, not to laugh at the poor confused Saluki as he called her name and looked around and landed a little bit behind him, a giggle emitting from her mouth as she folded her wings back down and nudged him. "I got you." she teased the male and grinned at him.

He heard the soft thud and flutter of wings, but the nudge nearly made him jump. "Ah!" Okay... he did jump. Thankfully for her, he wasn't one to buck when surprised.
He turned quickly with wide eyes - if only for a second - and blinked. "Oh! There you are!" he chuckled, shaking himself off slightly to rid himself of the last fleeting moments of being scared and having his heart nearly leap from his chest to ebb away. "That's a clever trick!" he smiled. "How'd you-..."
He caught sight of her wings.
"Ooooh...." he laughed softly. "Very clever, indeed!" he smirked. "Well, you fly graciously, my dear..."
And with that, he whipped off his blanket again to restart the cycle all over again. He ducked into the teepee and layed the blanket down again. He took one brief look at the remaining items and hoped he could make it all in this trip. The sun would be setting soon and he couldn't see very well at night.

Alejandra tilted her head to the side as Saluki noticed her wings and it seemed like he fully took in what had happened and smiled at the compliment he gave her, even though she knew that he hadn't looked up to see her flying. She'f been watching him after all. She frowned as he ducked into the tepee, hoping she hadn't made him mad by scaring him like that. She poked her head into the tepee, observing him moving things from the pile to the blanket and looking around for something she could perhaps use to help him.
There really wasn't anything here besides her mouth she could use to carry things with so she helped him by piling stuff onto the blanket, not exactly sure when it would be full, though her pile of things was growing smaller and smaller. Could they fit it all onto the blanket? She stopped her moving to go look outside, her teal eyes on the sky and the pretty colors that made up the clouds and indicated the sun setting.

He paused in his work to see her gazing at the sky. The soft colors of orange and yellow playfully danced upon her coat, making her seem almost angelic.
Nah.. Not almost Angelic... She Was Angelic. He smiled softly to the view and quietly stepped up beside her. It was almost as if he was in a dream... but he was too afraid to clip the back of his legs with a hoof to find out. He was afraid that if he did, he'd lose such a beautiful sight.
He almost didn't want to break the silence, but time was running short. He took a deep breath and gently nudged - almost even nuzzled - her neck. "C'mon... I think we can get it all done in this last trip before the sun goes down..." he smiled warmly to her and returned back to moving things into his blanket.

Alejandra turned her head as his snout came into contact with her neck and smiled at him, a flush blooming on her cheeks at the almost intimate contact, though she was sure he was just being friendly. The thought was confirmed when he told her they could move the rest in the last trip and she almost sighed at the comment and followed the stallion back into the tepee with a smile and resumed moving things.
He was right. The rest of it did fit on the blanket and she smiled at him happily. "Guess I don't have as much stuff as I thought." she said with a chuckle and nosed the very last item, a medium sized red rock, into place before stepping back from the blanket with a silly grin on her face.

Saluki chuckled, turning his head to hide yet another blush to his cheeks to finish piling everything into the blanket. He did another test lift to be sure and nodded. "Lesh gho." he spoke through blanket and gritted teeth.
This load was a little heavier than the last, but he managed to get all the way back without spilling any - as he had before. Once to the cave, he set his blanket down on the ground and stretched his neck a bit.
"It's almost too dark for me to start heading back now." he spoke, almost sadly. Almost... He would have to spend the night away from his human, "his" basket... and his new friend, Moam... but on the other hand...
He turned his head to look at Alejandra. "Would it be alright if I stayed here tonight? I can sleep outside. I promise I won't be a bother."
'Ooooorrrr, I could keep you warm tonight?'
He blinked. Where did that come from?! He half wondered if he had said that aloud. He hadn't, but still.... where the heck did that come from?! He was sure there was something only slightly wrong with his brain. Stallions didn't think like this.... did they? He snorted in his thoughts to shoo away such concerns. She was a friend. A nice, playful mare that liked to collect shiny things and looked amazingly beautiful in the setting sunlight. Had a smile that warmed his heart and a prance that....
He shook his head, now realizing that he had been staring at her all this time and blushed brightly.
"Er, uh... Right... Your collection." he set his thoughts straight to unloading his blanket. He carefully picked up each little piece with his lips and placed them in their rightful places.

Alejandra was glad Saluki was so careful with her trinkets, it was getting increasingly darker and she wasn't sure she would be able to find something if it were to drop. Thankfully nothing did and they made it back to the cave without incident. That was on the way back to the cave. Once they got there though it was a completely different. She looked outside at Saluki's mention of it getting dark, when she turned back to the male at his question "You don't have to sleep outside." she said with a smile. But... he was staring and she blushed faintly, but as eh continued she began to wonder if maybe there was something on her and began looking over her shoulder and at her wings with worry. "Is there something on me?" she asked with worry before noticing his blush and his sudden intentness on the items in the blanket. There was something on her wasn't there!?!? She whinnied unhappily and looked over herself trying to find it.

Saluki set some feathers down in their respective spots then blinked at her question. "No... Why?" he asked, moving closer to try and help her look. He looked for a brief moment before he shook his head.
"Nope. I don't see anything." he confirmed then chuckled. "You're perfect just the way you are. You're beautiful, in fact. No need to get all flustered about how you look." He blushed brighter than he had before, but he managed to hold a sincere smile while looking at her again.
'What the hell is wrong with me?!' he thought to himself. 'I was thinking that! Not saying it out loud!' He then blinked. 'And why the heck did I think that?!'
And after a small bracket of silence, he cleared his throat and swished his tail nervously. Without anything else

Alejandra sighed at his conformation that there wasn't anything on her and then blushed bright red at his compliment. He thought she was beautiful?? Her gaze instantly went down to her hooves in embarrassment and she muttered out a quiet thank you.
She raised her head slightly, looking up at him through her lashes and bangs and gave him a shy smile. "I think your pretty handsome too." she mumbled out shyly and blushed even brighter than before, her head going back down to examine the ground like it was the most interesting thing on the planet.

He let out a chuckle to that. "Thanks."
Even though he was a little embarassed by how the conversation had turned, he couldn't help but feel a little relieved and ... giddy! It almost felt as if he could fly to hear her say that.
With the dimming light, he finished moving everything and lifted his blanket, taking it outside. He shook it out - quite a few times - to ensure that there was no dirt in it what so ever then brought it back.
He moved so that his body was lined up with hers, himself standing at her side. He then tossed his blanket gently across her back, careful to not ruffle up her feathery wings. "It'll get chilly tonight." he spoke softly. "This should keep you warm." He smiled a bit then settled upon the ground beside her.

Alejandra smiled as the last of her treasures were moved into their proper place and scrapped her hooves on the ground, eyeing the dirt distastefully as she did every night before settling down on the ground and looking up at the sound of Saluki walking back into the cave. She looked up at him and smiled, her blush still faintly evident as she looked at the stallion. He then put his blanket on her. That made her smile, she wasn't sure, but she had an idea he didn't do that for just anyone. Or at least she could hope...
She sighed softly and settled her head on Saluki's back, hoping the male wouldn't mind. She didn't think he would, but there was always the chance. She sighed once again, this time in contentment, and closed her eyes, enjoying the unaccustomed warmth that another body brought.

Saluki smiled warmly as she seemed to settle in for the night. It was comforting to feel her using him as a large pillow and he silently thanked her for that. He lowered his head entirely, wrapping it best as he could around her front legs to keep her chest warm.
It didn't take him long to fall asleep, but as usual, he slept until just before sunrise. He yawned silently and looked out the cave entrance for a moment.
It was almost eerie to look out into the dark from inside a much darker cave. He turned to look at Alejandra and smiled. She looked so peaceful. So beautiful... he almost didn't want to leave.
He got up slowly and quietly, not wanting to wake her and tiptoed carefully out of the cave, leaving his blanket behind to keep her covered.
Once outside of the cave, he took a look around and spotted a small patch of grass nearby that looked down-right delicious... Now he just needed.... He spotted it! She was lucky to have moved in near such a unique tree. It's bark peeled off in long and wide strips and he pulled off a couple of them before moving over the the patch of grass he had seen. He then laid down the bark pieces and began gathering the sweeter bits of grass onto one of them for his... friend.
'She's a friend.' he reminded himself. 'A very pretty and highly attractive friend.' He sighed. Who was he kidding? He liked her. More than a lot. And this only very slightly disturbed him because he had only just met her. Yet, it didn't bother him all the same. It was highly confusing.... and he shook his head upon realizing that he had filled up one of the bark pieces with more than enough sweet grass for the pair of them. He placed the second piece of bark over top of it then picked it up carefully, returning to the cave just as quietly as he had left it and set the bark pieces down near where she was resting. He started splitting up the pile of grass after removing the top piece of bark.
The sun was beginning to rise, she should be waking up soon...

Alejandra felt over rested and slightly groggy, usually woken up by the first rays of sunlight peeking through the open flap of her tepee, this cave provided a much longer time in darkness so when the sunlight finally touched her face she yawned softly and made to snuggle into her sleeping companion, only to find he wasn't there. She frowned and blinked her eyes focusing slowly on an orange and white blob in front of her blurry morning vision, and the smell of almost intoxicatingly sweet grass.
She yawned again and looked sleepily up at the male, then down to the grass on... pieces of bark? She'd never seen that done before and her curiosity soon had her fully awake and observing Saluki as he split the grass into two different piles. "What are you doing?" she asked the male curiously.

Saluki smiled again as she began to stir and stood proudly despite his embarrassment from her question. He'd apparently been around a human far too long.
"Uhm... well. It's your breakfast. I figured I'd surprise you with it..." he shrugged a bit then gently nudged the piece of bark to her. "It's... the least I could do for allowing me to stay with you last night."
He looked at both the piles for a moment then chuckled nervously. "Of course, if you don't want it, I can take it back outside for you. Aaaannnd... we can go looking for something else?"

Alejandra eyed the piece of bark with the grass on it and tilted her head to the side, looking back up at Saluki. He looked so proud of himself. The least she could do was try it... But... What was she supposed to do? Eat the bark along with the grass... she didn't want to eat the bark. Alejandra hoped he wouldn't be offended by her... refusal to eat the tree bark, but that never sat very well with her stomach. Without bothering to get up, as the grass filled piece of bark was right in front of her she leaned her head forwards enough to nibble on the sweet smelling treat. Smiling, it tasted just like normal grass, minus the morning dew. But that was OK. "I like it. Thank you Saluki." she smiled up at the stallion.
