Von leaned against the wall while she listened to Marc though her eyebrow raised in mild amusement at the 'boyfriend lessons'. " The waltz isn't too hard if it's the same one we use. And what do these 'boyfriend lessons' include? Cause I didn't know there was a standard." The things that girl came up with amused and terrified Von. Was there really standards for boyfriend, girlfriend relations? Oi she hoped she never had to go through anything like that.

Marc smiled. "Oh please... Let me show you." He shook his head. "A boyfriend must always smile and look as though he loves the company of his girl." He reached out and pulled her bag from her shoulder. "A good boyfriend walks his girl where she needs to go... and has the strength and stamina to carry her stuff and his stuff from point A to point B..."
He slung her bag over his shoulder. "Now... while being the ladies pack mule the boyfriend is supposed to be caring and considerate... listening but, yet adding points to the conversation...just not being over barring." He shifted. Their bags weren't all THAT heavy... "The boyfriend can chose to either place his hand in her's or let it hang free so that he may place it lightly on the small of the girl's back to guide...but never dictate... the correct way to go." He moved his hand to the back to lead her about the corner...
Marc laughed. "However the biggest rule... is that the girl is always right... is she says the earth is flat... i better be keeping an eye out for edges... since it wouldn't be boyfriend like to let my girl fall off the edge..." he winked and removed his hand from the small of her back

Von rolled her eyes but laughed during his whole speech. When he was done she shook her head and reached out for her bag. "Some of that I could get used to, but seems more appropriate for a lackey not a boyfriend. Please tell me there are equally annoying rules for girlfriends." If not Von knew how she was going to spend some of her time that night.

He laughed... "Well... I guess she just knows how to be a girlfriend since i haven't heard any special rules for girls... I think that their major rule is they should look nice..." He shrugged and kept her bag. "Its ok... Friends can do this stuff. " He shrugged lightly... "Depends on your definition... Boyfriend girlfriend for us... is just a cover... Personally... I think mutual respect should fall into there some where...."

Von lowered her hand but shook her head. "Darlin, I don't know who needs this lie more but don't let that gal walk all over you. If she's gonna make you jump through hoops, make her do the same." She was honestly worried, she knew that Clarissa was just like her in alot of ways and if she didn't care for Marc he was going to be run ragged. She gently placed her hand on his. " I mean it. Stand up to her, I obviously can't stop what's going on and you obviously want to make the best of it. But if I ever see her using you like a throw rug, I'm going to hit her again and maybe repeatedly." She pulled her hand back and started moving towards the Slytherin common room. "I know you don't like the way I handle things but it's who I am, and if that;s not good enough for you too bad." She smiled a bit sadly at him.

Marc smiled. "Thank you Vonali... I appreciate that you care... I really...really... do." Marc raised one eyebrow. "Violence is never the answer... But...I take you and your direct way...because... you are my best friend...And i wouldn't change anything about you." He reached out and took her hand. "Thanks for being my friend."
Marc was holding her hand. Kennedy's eyebrow couldn't get much higher. He had been in the corridor watching the two. Not stalkerish but just staying out of the way. He knew the little hufflepuff didn't like him. So he was avoiding getting the kid's dander up. But, he was gonna get hurt. Didn't that Marc kid realize Von wasn't interested. Kennedy decided it would be best to show himself. With his bag slung over his shoulder and his golden blond hair pulled back in a clean pony he walked down the hall. The were moseying away from him so their backs were turned. Keeping as quiet as he could he moved up behind them and placed his hands over Von's Eyes. "Guess Who..."

Before Von could respond to Marc the world went dark and a voice tickled her ear and made goosebumps appear on her arms and neck. " My recording agent? Wait that's not right. Hmm, guess it'd have to be that goofy guy who plays the keyboard." She laughed and swung around to playfully punch Kenny in the shoulder. "You're lucky I recognized the voice so quickly. Marc and I were just discussing how violent I am." She winked over at Marc. " Not sure if you two have met officially. Marc, Kenny. Kenny, Marc. So what have you been up to?" She leaned in closer to Kenny and lowered her voice. " Marc just helped me learn the unlocking charm." Then her voice more normal and back in her own personal space. " And he helped me get caught up in Charms. The guy's a whiz." She smiled at Marc and Kenny totally not picking up on anything amiss.

Kennedy laughed."Ohhhh...wrong answer... Its the smoldering hot,supper attractive, Out for blood Slytherin that plays piano...." After his chastising hit to the shoulder he laughed and took a playful step away "Violent? You?...Never...." He grinned and watched marc carefully. At the correct time he held out his hand and smiled. "Kennedy... actually... Kennedy Anderson..."
Marc's black mood could have physically bitten someone it was getting so angry. 'The guy's a whiz' Marc offered a smile and took Kennedy's hand. And like guy's do... it became a test of wills. Marcs hand tightened then kennedy's and then marc's again. And so it progressed until they both broke apart. "Marcellus... Marcellus Adair..."
Kennedy nodded. "Thanks for making sure von got back ok... But its just about time for curfew isn't it?" He reached out for Von's bag. Marc froze but eventually thawed out enough to hand over the bag. Kennedy smirked and put his hand on Von's shoulder. "We should get back...Ill take your stuff down and we can practice a bit or something." Kenny seriously didn't want to practice... but... hey... he was trying to save that poor kids heart... right?

Von looked between the two guys wondering what exactly she was missing but was sure it was something important after all they had both insisted in full names, the long handshake and the trading of her bag. It just seemed so odd but Kenny's statement of the time shook her out of her momentary daze. " Ouch I didn't know we'd been working so long. Marc ya better hurry. Don't need ya getting into trouble. Thanks for walking me back. And remember don't let that gal walk all over you." Kenny's hand on her shoulder had that funny feeling back in her stomach but she choose to ignore it. " Did you skip any classes today to work on our song? Marc offered to be our advertising guy. His art is awesome, remind you to show you the picture he drew for me, it's by my bed." Her tone was light and she was hesitant to go inside with Marc standing in the hall.

Marc was shooting daggers at Kennedy... HE took a deep breath. "Its ok...Im not worried... I can walk the rest of the way if you want...." Marc wasn't going to let Kennedy win that easily.
Kennedy shook his head. "Its ok..." He smiled and squeezed Von's shoulder. "She will get there safe. Come on von lets go to your room and see that... picture." He smirked at marc.
Marc Would have growled but he simply nodded and turned to head back.
Kennedy smiled "I heard through the grapevine that you are good at transfiguration... so... i skipped that so you can help me out later." He gave a smirk and then shook his head. "But i didn't come up with anything.... major..."

Von still couldn't figure out what she'd missed but shrugged it off as Marc turned to leave. " We'll talk tomorrow Marc! And I'll have some girlfriend rules for ya." She let Kenny guide her towards the Common room. " Ok so what did I just miss? " Though it didn't pass her that Kenny was carrying her books, seeming interested in what she had to say and was gently guiding her to the common rooms. Is this what Clarissa meant by boyfriend rules? And how did that go with Marc's behavior? " If you're not interested in the picture that's fine, but Marc's a great artist and I'm thrilled he'll be doing the art for our songs, if that's still going to happen." Would the tension between Marc and Kenny affect her band?

Kennedy watched marc stomp away. He had just won that battle. He smiled he was about the same height as her. Although his parents were both tall. It must be that he is a boy. He mentally sighed. "Nothing... You didn't miss anything."
Kennedy shrugged. "I will take your word on it." He shrugged and said the password to get in. "Here is your stuff.." He held out her bag. "I actually have... well i can't practice... Night Von." And like that he left and was gone again.

Von positioned her bag on her shoulder as Kenny hurried to the boys dorm. Fuming she stomped her foot once and glared at the other kids in the room. " what?!" Then took off for her room. Gerfit she was mad. She knew Kenny had just lied to her something had gone on and he thought he'd come out on top. Why did Vi and other girls think boys were so awesome, they were just as annoying as girls. She flopped onto her bed her gaze falling to the picture. What had she been thinking earlier, ah yes the boyfriend rules. What that was it! She sat straight up so suddenly that for a moment her head was light. They'd been competing, and over her. Wait that would mean. "GERFIT" Suddenly all the pieces fell together in her head. Marc liked her as in LIKED her, and Kenny had known, and prolly Clarissa too. Which meant Vi was right too. How did a girl that had no interest in such things fall straight into the middle of it.
