The whole situation made Ren feel silly, though not in a bad way. Silly, because they were sitting on the floor in his room, still half tangled in the sheets and blankets that were dragging off the side of the bed. Silly, because Jove was sitting on his haunches, petting a wolfy LW, and silly because all three of them were sitting there, on the floor, with pillows surrounding them, eating Alessa's homemade cookies. It was just...well, Ren was happy.
He lifted a brow, however, at LW's not-so-innocent comment. "I am not that weak to that puppy dog look everyone seems to like giving," he said loftily, doling out the cookies to everyone. This, however, was a total like, since Ren was, in fact, outrageously susceptible to those doleful eyes that LW gave him, or the wide eyed, innocent and long-lashed look that Jove would give.
Like the one he was giving him right now, only this one was more confused. "Oh," said Ren with a light laugh, reaching out to gently ruffle Jove's hair. "Jove, don't worry, it's not that there's something wrong with your look; it's that you're just so..." He trailed off, not wanting to offend the other boil, and not wanting to be patronizing either. "You just have a way of making me want to do things for you," Ren finished, and gave Jove a small smile. "It's not a bad thing; LW has the same habit."
"And yes," he added, grinning at LW. "Alessa made me these yesterday, so they're all nice and fresh."
Munching on one, Ren took another for the shewolf. Though instead of giving it to her himself, he gave it to Jove, motioning for the puppy to give it to LW.
"You know," Ren said, reclining back against the pillows. "I'm rather glad you came this morning, LW. Gave me a chance to introduce a new friend to you."
He threw a wink at Jove, then took another cookie for himself.

Oh yes. She knew exactly what look Ren was referring to that the pup kept using. LW herself used that look when she was being exceptionally charming. It worked amazingly well against both Ren and Gabrian. Probably more so against Gabe because of his cute addiction. But it still worked wonders on both boils! She just gave Jove an encouraging wink. No, there was nothing wrong with his look. Ren was just whining. Because he knew he'd lose to that look.
"You keep telling yourself that, Turkey." The she-wolf said with a toothy grin directed towards her bestie. "But we both know that is a lie!" She chuckled and eyed the bag with the cookies. She really really wanted one. However, Ren's 'explanation' of the look the pup kept giving him amused her. Slowly the she-wolf arched an eyebrow at the gryphon. A snort was her response to his claim she had a habit of doing this. Which she did.
"Mmm....Alessa's cookies are the best!" She said, eyes bright with the eagerness to eat said cookies.
Unlike Jove, LW was very comfortable in either form and had no problems with touching and snuggling and the likes. Which was evident by her behavior. She unashamedly whined like the canine she was when Ren didn't give her that blasted cookie! Every time Jove pet her, she shifted a little, letting his hand slide around to hit the right spots. LW was happy to note that he seemed to be growing more comfortable around her. And he liked petting her. If he kept this up, he might be giving Ren competition for the title of 'best friend'. Especially if Ren wouldn't give her that COOKIE!
When the cookie was passed to Jove, LW whined again and tilted her head a little to give him the adorable look. She wanted that cookie! If she had to, she'd beg. This was not something either boils needed to see. She had begging down almost to a science. It had come in handy back home with six siblings fighting for treats from mom. She would make them melt. For now, she just kept up the cute look and the enthusiastic tail wagging.
LW's head turned towards the gryphon as he spoke. Though she wasn't in her human form currently, she was still able to convoy that she was smiling in that special way she usually reserved for her best friend. "I'm glad I came this morning too." She said warmly, truly meaning her words.

He was so... what? Jove frowned. Ren was about to say something, and there could only be so many reasons for cutting himself off. Suspecting the worst, Jove puffed up in an expression of indignity. Ren wanted to say he was cute, or adorable, or a sweet little puppy, that had to be it. For a ghoul it was okay to look adorable, but for a young boil like himself? Not a chance.
The pup took the cookie that was offered in spite of his grumpy expression, and passed it in LW's direction before determinedly scratching the scruff of her neck. He somehow avoided having his heartstrings pulled in the same manner as Ren when the wolf's puppy-eyes were turned in his direction, he was too busy being in a huff over the thought of being cute.
At least giving LW neck scratches was able to distract him slightly. She was a bigger canine than he was, bigger than his foxfires even. He went at the rubbing with both hands, one going over the scruff of her neck, and the other slipping down the side of one shoulder to scratch there as the older students talked with each other.
