Sin was annoyed, she was trying to relax and enjoy some time with Vivi and Alcie but both were now caught up fishing. Really fishing in formal wear? Was this some kind of sick trend? Well forget it, if she had been wearing something more flexible maybe. Then Vaith went over and she groaned, Sin might not want to fish in her evening gown, but she could hardly just let someone drown for the sake of her dress...could she? Ugh!
Sin got down on the deck and tried to reach down to help Vaith get back onboard, of course the ship was huge and she couldn't even reach halfway down. She stood and brushed off the front of her dress, she had tried didn't that count for something?

Viveca wasn't exactly happy that Vaith had fallen in, but it certainly gave her a great reason to soak this rotten dress! It occured to her she probably couldn't easily swim out to him in it, so she mimicked Sin in trying to reach out for him.
She almost lost her balance, which would have resulted in toppling over herself. Viveca was confused until she realized with her gown had also come spike heeled shoes. Fantastic.
She looked over to Sin. "Any ideas?" she asked.

Cloak took the martini glass as it was handed to her, peering down into it suspiciously before simply shrugging her shoulders and taking a sip. While Winter was busy causing a complete disaster entertaining the students, she hopped off of the barrel to inspect what the kids had managed to catch for her.
She took her time inspecting each of the fish they had managed to snag, staring long and hard at them. She glanced back and forth between Aksaja's and Alcie's catches, trying to determine a winner between size, but found that she couldn't decide a winner on that alone.
"Well, since you caught that giant first, dragonboy, I guess you win the prize." She pointed at Aksaja as she said 'dragonboy' just to make sure no one got the wrong idea. Then, with her martini glass in hand, she scooped up the fish Aksaja was so proud of and held it in her other. "I guess you can have a little something too," she pointed at her as best she could with a fish dangling from her hand.
"Everyone that isn't dragonboy here should toss their catches back overboard, we don't have room for the rest of those, no matter how puny some of them are." She turned away then, content with the giant fish in her hand, before stopping halfway across the deck. "Right, check your rooms later for the prizes - maybe you should help save that drowning kid in the meantime, eh?"
Because Cloak certainly wasn't going to.
((You guys WOULD roll the same number. ]:
Manda gets the main prize for rolling first, AnimeChickie will get a runner-up prize. If you guys will both PM me your minipet site account names, I'll ship them out!
The next game will probably start tomorrow, so your characters can take some time and try to save poor Vaith.))

(( AGH SO CLOSE WAI XD ))
Aksaja looked up when there was a sudden wailing sound coming from . . . somewhere. He was just in time to catch the sigh of Vaith fall off the ship, and the lightning dragon's eyes widened. Oh Jack, that wasn't good. "Thought this one looked safer dammit!" he half-growled. "Sorry I'll be back," he muttered quickly to the ghoul and took off running for the edge of the boat.
Then he leapt into the air with wings spread to try and swoop down and scoop Vaith out of the water. But just as he was about to grab the other boil, a wave moved him in a completely random direction and Aksaja missed. "Damn!"

"OH Vivi do be careful with the shoes...those are DESIGNER!" She said the word as if it was as sacred as Jack Skellington himself. Then she sighed and looked over the ship's edge at Vaith, couldn't he just help himself up? Then Vivi was looking at her as if for an idea...and help. Sin sighed and went to grab some rope handing it to Viveca.
"Here try tossing this down to him and we can pull him up..." Sin handed off the rope, she wasn't a rescuer. She pushed her gowns full skirt back a bit, so much for getting to relax and enjoy the trip. Sin loved being dressed up but not if there was going to be...manual labor involved. She gave a slight shudder as she watched Vivi, the ghoul better not snap those heels or Sin might cry.

Snickering as she pulled out nothing but the bait itself, she dropped the rod entirely as she heard someone tumble from behind. Another ghoul? She had odd hands. Watching as Aksaja moved to her aid, she then shifted her attention to the sudden ruckus. A student went overboard? Where!? She missed it! Damn.. Snapping her finders in dissapointment; it was then she realized that the student was in danger of drowning. "Oh..!" Hesitantly, she moved to the edge of the ship where the other students had jumped off. It was a good thing her scroll was wrapped up and protected for cases such as this, and her health was at its best, so there was no need to worry of any water leaking in through her skin.
Though it took a few minutes or so, Mei finally swallowed her fear, and followed the others in. Landing with splash, she slowly began to make her way towards Vaith. She may be moving at a snails pace, but hey---she was new at this!

Alcyone was relieved to hear that she could toss the giant fish that she caught back into the water. She muttered under her breath, "Thank goodness." But then she heard a splash. Uh oh.
Walking over to where Vivi and Sin were collaborating, Alcyone stared down at the water wondering what they could possibly do. She was actually thinking about jumping in to get him but then she realized that this ship was huge. How would she get herself back on the boat?
"Yeah rope is a good idea. Where in the world is a darned life ring when you needed it?" The boat was so extravagant but didn't seem like it had all of the necessary safety precautions. Pausing, Alcie realized that two other students had jumped off board to try to save Vaith. ... Uh oh. Now she didn't think jumping in herself was a good idea. They had to make sure all of the students returned to the ship.

Tsetsiliya probably would have been content to watch the goings on from her isolated corner (alright, that was a partial lie), but the loud splash over the side of the ship caught her attention. She turned just in time to see Vaith go falling overboard, and she let out a small gasp and rushed over to those who were gathering to watch (or help, either or).
She reached them as soon as a few launched out into the torrential seas. Somebody was calling for a rope, and it seemed that Sin was shoving one into Vivians's hands.
"I-is it being long enough?" The poludnica looked from the ghoul to the flailing boil in the ocean with anxiety. She should be out there helping as well, except for the token fact that she did not know how to swim. Chewing her lower lip anxiously, she linked her hands over her stomach and felt the material that had gathered there. Her fingers clutched around it, and she glanced down. A sash!
Untying it as quickly as she could, she knelt down on the deck and let it unfurl down towards the group in the water. The edges drifted out on the edge of the water and nearly reached Vaith, but it drifted back at the last moment. With a sigh, she stood and reeled it in before offering it to Vivica. "P-perhaps we can be using this if we are needing more?" She wanted to help so badly, so very badly! But the two of them drowning wouldn't do anybody any good.

Vaith didn't know what happened exactly. One minute he was staring at his not-so-great catch and next, he found himself headfirst through the air.. and ultimately, into the water. He was bobbing in the water for a bit, sputtering and kicking his arms and legs. At some point, he even learned something that vaguely resembled a puppy paddle.
HE WAS IN THE WAAAAATTTTER. HIS SPIFFY SUUUUIIIIT. If Vaith was any lesser of a man, he would have cried. His suit. His suuuuuiiiiiiiit.
But that beloved suit wasn't going to save him from drowning. He saw the shadow of Aksaja trying to reach him.. and a flurry of actions on board. He wasn't sure, since his view was more of a snail-eye view versus a bird-eye view. He could barely make out Sin, Viveca, Alcyone and Tsetsiliya reaching for the rope.. or whatever that floating shimmering cloth was in the water. (He actually couldnt make anything out except the colors of their dresses and skin.) The wet sash almost reached him-- but even if he did manage to grab that thin cloth, wouldn't it break while pulling him up and he'd repeat it all over again? What a lovely crowd. A lovely but useless crowd.
As this point, he had little hope of anybody saving him. No hope left--AND WHAAAAAT- WHY WOULD SOMEONE JOIN HIM INTO OBLIVION. NONONO. Water sprayed from Mei's splash into the water, into his eyes, blinding him.
It took awhile to make her out.
Was she swimming towards him? He needed to ask her how to swim because currently, only half of his head was above water. But this was neither the time for conversation or lessons. As a manly male, he might have taken this chance to look at the wet dress clinging to Mei but no. He was too busy to be a manly man because he needed to save himself first.
Somehow. He knew this blasted ship was bad news. It was named Overboard. True to it's name.

To be honest, Mei was quite thankful of her hobby for studying students.. If it weren't for her studies, she would not have observed the swim team, and if it weren't for that---she would have sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Swimming really wasn't that hard for her, but that could also be because she was fairly light, and had an easier time staying afloat. Kicking with her feet, she could see Vaith in sight. The current, however, was not so kind as to allow her reach him just yet. "Tch.." Spitting out watever water invaded her mouth, she watched as he just barely managed to stay above water. Oh Jack! Of all students---He didn't know how to swim? "Oi! Kick with your legs! Don't just use your arms!" Whether he could hear her or not, was a problem.

Viveca had been about to ask a strange girl about her torn up dress (she was a smart thinker!) with some help liberating her own legs from the cloth imprisonment when the girl jumped overboard! Two out there already. This trip wasn't shaping up very well...
She turned her attention to Sin, who had found some rope that she was handing off to Viveca. Well, from what she had learned of Sin so far, she didn't like the dirtier tasks.
Viveca was all for them though (and she was sure some rope burn could do wonders for this dress). She tied off the rope to the railing and flung it at the water, hoping it was long enough to reach Vaith.
Not only didn't it work even a little, Viveca was woefully unpracticed on knot tying, and the rope untied from the rail and fell as the end hit the water.

Viveca racked her brain for an idea. She wondered if there was anything buoyant on the ship. Alcie was right. Why WASN'T there a life ring on this boat??
She decided to try reaching for him once more. It seemed silly, she knew the water was too far below the level of the deck they were on.
But maybe she'd get lucky...
After losing the rope and even though she was standing on her tippy toes (in heels, no less) she decided that this just wasn't the way to reach him.
Maybe that flying boil could take another go at it.
"Hey Alcie. Maybe I could hang onto your ankles and lower you down?" she half jokingly suggested.

Israfel tried to smile, he did. Really. What formed was..a rather marred, pained expression. He was trying to force out that smile and it was..pathetic at best. "I'll be fine." He twitched, hearing the sound of water hitting the ship's side. "Just..Maybe. Sort of. Siren you know. Not on ships. Usual we sink them. All of them. And eat those who were on board." He sighed, feathers once all alert flopping like dead weights. "This is...an uncomfortable thing to me to put it mildly." Then things got MORE uncomfortable. While the magic used to dress them was clear cut for the other students it..wasn't so easy for him. He was left standing on heels, talon toes peeking out from under the sandal straps. He was in the female equal of a tux, complete with frill and lace and even a flower in the vest pocket. His hair had even gotten brushed and done up in a rather nice braid. None of it didn't stop Israfel from groaning as the water moved them.
And just as his nerves were calming, as he let the other students fish, it happened. A student fell into the water.
Israfel just stood, mouth agape, as his fears were slowly being confirmed.
Boats were death traps.
