"you got up! Dont you know the best thing to do when you are sick is to get rest silly" He stated shaking his head. Now he just had to figure the best way to give these to thayne. he could ground it down into powder and then put it in a liquid but that required leaving again and then Thayne would just get up and make himself ever more sick. he could see it now.
"alright well just chew on this again, slowly not to fast or it'll upset your stomach more" Layren stated handing over the ginger root. He ignored the tiny part of his mind that was happy at the fact some one was glad for his return. It would remind him that it had been a while since last time he had seen that and just make him depressed.

Thayne gave a tiny smile and apologized before picking up the root and chewing on it. It didn't take very long before Thayne wrinkled his nose at Layren. "Dis isf difsmustin." He complained around the still mostly whole root. He continued to chew the root, but he had a disgusted expression that was almost comical.
"Dif ish beffer wurp." Thayne continued, though the juices from the chewed root were already settling his stomach a little.

Layren could barely hold it in any longer and turned his face to the side using his paw to muffle some of the sound and burst out laughing. He knew he should be serious especially since Thayne was in pain but the expression on his face was too much. In fact in a second the blue haired phim thought he was going to start crying. He hadn’t laughed that hard in ages. In fact he didn’t think he had laughed at all genuinely this past year.
“I-I-I’m sorry” he managed to get out but every time he looked over it was straight back to laughing. Ugh he was going to split something in a second. “I-it should work. Never worked for me but that’s where it seemed all my bad luck occurs”

Thayne gave a bubbly growl around the ginger root. "Ah vil gep oo baf fo fiff." Now Layren was experimenting on him. Great. Still, the root was helping, even if it tasted like the most disgusting thing in all creation.
"Boo ah swawoah biff?" He asked.

“Well maybe our dearest sunset phim shouldn’t eat rabbits that kill over while eating mushrooms ne?” he said clearly the chuckles having died down. He looked at Thayne fondly for a second before violently shaking his head and allowing his normal grumpy disposition to come back.
Okay so he got most of what thayne was saying but the last half was a bit hard. He knew it was a question that had to do with swallowing. Well might as well wing it. “Yep you swallow it…. Slowly” he stated letting out a yawn. Being soo happy had drained most of his energy.

Thayne swallowed the root and stuck his tongue out. "I'll make sure not to eat any more poisoned rabbits. I don't ever want to eat that thing again." The sunset phim looked up at Layren and wagged his tail again. Standing up, he nuzzled Layren and licked his face, getting some of the ginger flavor on him.
"Thank you for giving that to me though. My stomach feels much better." He said, leaning against Layren in an unspoken request for the purple Phim to lie down. Thayne wanted to snuggle into him and fall asleep.

“yes that would be a wise move” Layren pointed out nodding in agreement watching slightly bemused at thayne’s tail. It definitely wiggled a lot. He didn’t think he had ever seen some one with that much energy and happiness since his… no Layren would definitely not go there. He blamed the rain it always brought problems.
“that’s good. It seems to always work on other foxes, so I thought it might work for you.” Layren stated with a yawn he agreed on the sleep having spent most of the last couple of nights out trying to find ways to escape thayne or various things like that. He didn’t even mind the slight snuggle either… at least tonight.

Feeling far better than he expected to be feeling after getting poisoned, little as it turned out to be, Thayne easily slipped into a deep sleep. Pressing just slightly more into Layren, the sunset Phim unconciously wropped his tail around the purple phim's before settling with a contented sigh.

Layren yawned and slowly opened his eyes. Some time during the night the storm had calmed down. With a quick look over towards his sleeping companion he noticed that thayne seemed to look better than yesterday. He hoped that was the case. A good nights rest should have helped. Slowly Layren began stretching and trying to maneuver all the kinks out of his back with out waking his companion.

Thayne mumbled sleepily and raised his head to look at the purple male. "Layren! I feel better!" He chirped, hopping to his feet and bouncing around. The sudden movement made him nauseus, however, and he sank back down to his belly. "O~r not." He said and smiled weakly at his mate.
"I don't think I should have moved that much yet."

Layren just stared at Thayne for a while before shaking his head. “It probably wants food. I should go get you some stuff that would hurt it any more. If this happens again though I am going to make you tell me everything you eat and how it died” Layren glared sharpening his gaze. Pfft he wasn’t a shaman. Even though he didn’t think he would join a tribe it didn’t mean he wanted training for any tribe jobs either.

Thayne wrinkled his nose up at his mate. "I'm not gonna eat anymore rabbits that keel over for no good reason." He promised. "Food? I can go for food!" He leapt up again and tottered a little. "I can...come with you." He said, taking slow steps. The poor fox was nearly vibrating with the need to move faster though.

“Under one condition though, if you start to feel sick again or I think your doing poorly you are to sit your butt down until I get back with the food and you are not to complain what so ever.” Layren stated in a stern tone. He wasn’t sure about the whole mate thing just entirely but he was going to try his best. He continued walking to get some edible leaves and grass but kept an eye on thayne to make sure he was okay.

Thayne followed Layren practicing not bouncing around like he normally did. Not that he was so hyper he had to move like that, but after staying still for so long yesterday, the sunset Phim was eager to be moving again. Still, slow was better because he could hide the fact that he wanted to totter off to one side better.
He did wrinkle his nose at Layren's food choices though. He was getting more plants. Thayne didn't want plants. He wanted meat! At that thought, his belly did a flip-flop and the male tried to hold in a sick groan. Okay, maybe no meat.

Layren continued walking and looking around. He noticed a berry bush not far from them and decided to snag some for him self to eat. Perhaps later when he was convinced that Thayne was 100% better he would see if Thayne wanted some himself. After gathering the berries it was off to look for food again and secretly keeping an eye on Thayne.
“Pfft sorry you still have to eat the plants. You might have a hungry stomach, but I am not convinced your completely better so its best if you stick with things that wont upset your stomach” Layren pointed out after seeing the small little nose wrinkle. He figured it had something to do with the plants and leaves. Modifoxes were mostly carnivorous so he shared the dislike of plants feeling.
