BON JOVI & COUNTRY MUSIC ACADEMY Nomination! [Mar 8]
Congratulations to BON JOVI. This morning, March 8, the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC announced the nominees for the 41st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. BON JOVI and JENNIFER NETTLES were among the nominees in the category of VOCAL EVENT OF THE YEAR for the song "WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME." Fellow nominees include "I Play Chicken With The Train (Cowboy Troy and Big & Rich,) "Like We Never Loved At All" (Faith Hill w/Tim McGraw) and "When I Get Where I'm Going" (Brad Paisley w/Dolly Parton.) The ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS will be taking place on Tuesday MAY 23rd at 8:00PM Eastern at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be broadcast on CBS. BON JOVI will be on tour in Europe at that time.

BON JOVI played the GLENDALE ARENA in Glendale, Arizona (that's part of the PHOENIX market) last night, March 9th, and surprised the crowd a bit. Check out the set list and you'll see why:

Obviously, you'll want to think it's a typo to see WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME listed three times as part of the encores -- but it's not! The band was filming the performance for a VIDEO (surprise!) and they captured the performance in Phoenix last nite. Thank you to the fans who were so patient through the 3 performances (which kicked a** - it's not like it was a sacrifice, now was it?!) More news on what will become of that video footage in the future....
