Amelia Frances
Though she was a little let down only the teacher got it; this class needed to learn about video games. But she grinned back, feeling a connection. This teacher was probably going to love her. That was the way with her. There never was a middle section, the teachers either loved her antics or hated them. Thankfully the latter was less often.
"To talk to...?" she trailed off. Her magic was going to make a doll talk. She wondered if mass produced dolls had individual personalities, or if they recollected their lives as dolls. Just because she couldn't feel the possible traces of the lives affected by the dolls didn't mean they weren't there. She waited to ask the teacher; either for a lesson or to find out herself through Mario. If she hadn't figured it out by the end of class, she'd ask.
Waiting, she glanced around the class, studying the faces. She'd faintly seen some of them, but never was introduced. Besides they looked older than her. She wasn't sure how to hold her wand properly; could she really compete with them? Not that she was a particularly competitive person, she strove for perfect on every piece she did. It didn't matter to her if everyone else got perfects too. Or if she set the curve and ruined everyone else's.

Ginelle laughed a bit under her breath. She knew what Amelia was doing, because she grew up with a muggle family. Ginelle completely understood the Mario speak, and the whole spin thing- It was a mario move. "All you need is the hat.." Ginelle said to her. She sighed when she saw she picked up the little Mario plushie, but she would just take something else from there. Maybe she could convince the teacher to take them out of the back room.

Liviana reached blindly and found in her hands a pudgy, deforming-looking doll with stringy yarn hair the color of mud. It was in a frilly bile-green dress, and vaguely reminded her a doll she would play with as a child at a friend's house. What were they called? Pumpkin patch- no. Watermelon vine- no. Oh! Cabbage patch.
Liviana remained slumped in her seat waiting for the spell to be given. She did not have the energy to think hard today.

Annette watched Liviana pick out the Cabbage Patch Kid doll, and laughed a bit. "Be careful with her, Liviana. She can be fairly obnoxious, and rather rude at times, regardless of what she might look like." She laughed a little more and then turned back to the chalk board.
"The spell, Kids, is Piertotum locomotor." She took her little green soldier and placed it on a desk in the front row, which no one really seemed to want to occupy. She pointed her wand at the soldier and said "Piertotum locomotor." As she said so, the little toy soldier was no longer just a statue. It was moving, rather quickly. It didn't run, but it was figiting a lot. "Hello, Marshall," the professor said. The little green soldier turned and saluted the professor. "It's good to see you again. How are you?" She asked the marshall.
The little soldier said "I am doing alright, Ma'am. How may I be in your service today?" The soldiers voice was deeper than one would expect out of a tiny little toy. The professor nodded, and the soldier took a seat on the desk's edge.
"This is Marshall Simon, everyone. Could you tell them your age?" She asked.
"19, Ma'am. You've had me since you were four, professor," He said.

Liviana brushed the limp hair out of her face, revealing two vapid, possibly blue eyes. She reached into her school bag near her desk and struggled to find her traitorous wand.
After a few moments of excavation, Judas Iscariot the Wand (so aptly named since the day's earlier Defense Against the Dark Arts class) sat innocently in her grasp.
Liviana stared at the chubby doll and it reciprocated her gaze. She sloppily aimed her wand at the toy and whispered, "Piertotum locomotor".
The doll gave a sudden jolt, and its head spun around on its neck. Liviana gave a quick gasp as the frightening object went lifeless once again.

"Oh, Keep trying Liviana. Try flicking your wand a different way. A little less wrist and a little more force." The professor demonstrated again, and showed her the proper way to cast her wand. "Also, be sure to keep full concentration on the doll. Why don't you give it a shot, Amelia? And Ginelle, please pick out a doll. Would you like a better selection?"

Heart enters the room, nodding a greeting to everyone around her. She sits down, blinking in confusion as she watches some of the others interact with Muggle toys.

Liviana watched vacantly as the professor demonstrated the correct way to administer the incantation, her dim eyes slightly narrowed as customary when the Ravenclaw was being attentive.
Out of the corner of her eye, Liviana saw a familiar face enter the classroom. Heart, a fellow Ravenclaw who was like a little sister to her, had arrived. Liviana's waxen face momentarily displayed the ghost of a smile on her lips, but it disappeared the moment it came.
She raised her wand arm and murmured the same incantation, "Piertotum locomotor", but this time with as much force as she could muster. The doll once again sprung to life, but that spark was quickly extinguished as the toy flung itself into the stony classroom wall and returned to its original lifeless state. Liviana let out a frustrated huff.

"You are getting closer, Liviana! Keep trying! Just like that." The professor have her an encouraging nod and turned to the new student in the room. It was the first Hufflepuff there. "Ahh, hello there. What report would you be talking about?" she asks her.
She turned her attention away for a moment to see another Ravenclaw walk in. "Welcome to class, dear! Will you pick out a toy and take a seat?"
(May I ask which doll you are using? =] Send me a PM please!) •○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○••○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•

Standing up, the Ravenclaw stands up, walking to where all of the toys were. Heart spots some familiar faces, flashing a smile at Livinia before reaching her destination. She looks around, trying to choose the one she wanted to work with.

(EDIT): The girl returns to her seat with a plastic toy in her hand. Grinning, she places the action figure on her desk. She had grown up with these types of toys in her house, for she was half-blood; her Muggle dad wanted his children to also experience the Muggle world, especially since she had both brothers and sisters in the family. With the thought of family, Heart gently touches the heart pendant she is wearing, smiling softly before going back to what she was doing.
She gingerly points her wand at the red and blue toy. Poor Spiderman. Taking a deep breath, she casts, "Piertotum Locomotor," but nothing happens.

"Thank you, dear." She smiled to Heart, and then turned to go into the supply closet again. When she came back, there was another handful of dolls (I'll add them to the list in a moment) and she set them on the desk as well. "Now, students, please remember the spell we are using! Piertotum Locomotor." At that moment, the professor was pointing her wand at another doll, which sprung into life. "If you need help, please ask me, and I can assist you, class!" She took a seat in her chair and watched the Lady Gaga doll start to dance in an awkward way. She muttered the counter-spell, which caused her to go back to her original state.

Ginelle reached out onto the table and grabbed the first thing she felt. It was an orange plushie doll with yellow hair, and it was kind of creepy. The stranger part was the fact that she thought she knew the character from somewhere. She went back to her desk and took out her wand. She really concentrated on the doll for a moment and waved her wand to practice. Then, without another moments wait, she said "Piertotum Locomotor!" The doll sprung to life for just a second, looked around, and then went lifeless again.

"That's the spirit, Ginelle!" The teacher was starting to wonder if this was the wrong lesson to start with. She looked around to the struggling students, in hopes that someone would eventually get it. This did take a lot of concentration, but she didn't think it was all that difficult to comprehend. As she watched Ginelle's doll return to it's original lifeless state, she stood up and went to the chalk board. This time, she picked up the chalk herself and decided that she would write out further instructions. The Professor The Piertotum Locomotor incantationThe wave of the wand is very important. If must be stiff at the wrist, but your arm moves lightly. There is very little flick of the wrist, and your arm needs to have force. The spell is pronounced like this "Peer-toe-tum-Low-Kah-Mow-terr". Do not pause between the words, but try not the merge them together. The pronunciation is not as important as the spacing of the words for this one. Concentration is the most important piece. Try your hardest to clear your mind of all other thoughts. Then, you need to completely concentrare on the doll. The place that most will mess up is when the doll does come to life. If you get frightened and break your concentration, the doll will only come to life for a moment and go back to its lifeless space. Keep your concentration for a full five seconds on the doll after casting the incantation. Then, your doll will stay awake. •○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○••○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•

Amelia Frances
Amelia grinned at the girl sitting beside her, pleased she remembered. Taking out a piece of parchment she wrote quickly in her tiny lettering I prefer Luigi. She left the rest of the page blank, as for future correspondents, then deftly began to fold it. First over, into a rectangle twice. Her hands were quick, as she'd passed notes plenty of times before. Then the corners were folded into triangles, then diagonally folded. Quickly, she wrapped the rest of it together, tucking it in within a minute. Then she slide it silently to the other girl.

She turned back to the teacher, trying to keep her eyes from widening. That's it? All you do is say a weird phrase and point your wand at it? That she didn't believe, which was proven by the tired girl. So what else does it entail? Wand swishing properly? Did that change for every spell? She shook her head, but tried, not wanting to be the last to figure it out. Taking her wand and grasping it fairly awkwardly as this would be her first spell, she pointed it at Mario. After a silent pray not to blow the poor doll's head off, she waved her arm, using a large arm movement from the shoulder, as to not use the wrist. "Peer-toe-tum-Low-Kah-Mow-terr" she pronounced it slowly, insuring it was correct. However, the doll didn't move at all. She blinked surprised at the lack of action. An explosion she expected, but nothing? She looked hard at the tip of her wand. Maybe it just didn't work? That would be a good excuse.First Year Ravenclaw
