"The solution is right before you."
Tuomas knelt down to the pool of blood at the base of the main crystal.
"This is a very sacred pool. The blood of all the past rulers lies here. Pure, untainted, and all powerful."
Removing the tattered remnants of his shirt, he dipped the fabric in the blood and placed it over the gaping wound. The pain that shot through him was nearly unbearable as the potent blood seeped into his body. He pulled himself up to a standing position and fell down onto the altar.

Damien watched as Tuomas healed himself, "All the past rulers huh? I guess there's a lot I don't know about this place. Incredible power must be in that blood. Still I'm surprised our new ruler is an ex human. How can I be confident that she will properly lead us? Besides isn't she Ryn's friend? How can we be sure that she won't just join Ryn and decide to turn the kingdom topsy turvey. Even if he's not on Nyx's side. "

After a moment, Tuomas gasped for breath and lifted himself up. He set down the cloth and looked at the place where the wound had been moments earlier. The skin was without blemish, not even a scar to be seen.
"I am not certain how it came to pass that she is now ruler, but I have faith that she will set aside her feelings if it is for the good of the kingdom."

"For all our sakes we better hope so. I do not want to serve a ruler who is okay with someone that killed my comrades." Damien growled still remembering all the dead bodies of his men. "If you're done...we should head out. Maybe you should help us put up more wards in the throne room so that the intruder can not get inside."

The youth nodded, steadying himself on his feet.
"I will help as much as I can. Unfortunately, most of my potions were destroyed in the lab's explosion. In any case, I am still capable of a few magical barriers."

"Do you know where the captain went? I wish to report to him" Damien asked. "If you could be so kind to lead me back to main castle that would be great."

"Of course. I am not certain where he went though. I am assuming he is either still hunting the intruder or he has apprehended him by now."
Leading the way to the room's entrance, Tuomas gestured for the Lieutenant to proceed as he put the magical barriers back in place and secured the locks. Then he lead the way back to the Great Hall.

Nero the thaumaturgist was having a bit of a dry spell from a lack of fresh vitae until one night wandering through the castle he began to sense the presence of some very pure and powerful vitae. "Hmmm I must investigate this further." Nero begins a spell to draw any exposed blood towards himself including any from open wounds, much to the displeasure of the current host.
Not feeling the powerful vitae draw any close Nero seeks the source of this power and begins his journey into the bowels of the castle.

Heading back into the room of the blood crystals, Tuomas opened the sealed door with a small incantation. After firmly closing it behind him, he swiftly made his way to the center of the room to replace the queen's blood crystal where it should be. Heaving a sigh, the youth shook his head as he contemplated the events that were currently transpiring within the castle.

Being drawn through the twists and turns seeking the source of the powerful Vitae, Nero feels a strong magical blood magic source as well. Nero wonders if this may lead to a source of blood magic strong enough to siphon towards the restoration of the Tremere clan.
Knowing how dangerous the path forward may be he preforms the ritual of the blood path of elemental mastery to summon himself a powerful Fire elemental, as well as the ancient blood path of conjuring to summon several skeletons to act as living shields.

Sensing a presence close by, Tuomas was immediately on his guard. Decades upon decades of studying magic had given him a veritable arsenal of spells and potions to work with. The magic of the room's blood crystals also helped to strengthen any ward or barrier he could place. This room was sacred, and needed to be defended from all who wished it harm. Taking a dagger from his pocket, he proceeded to draw a bit of blood. Using this, he strengthened the barriers and wards already in place.

Nero detecting freshly cast blood magic Nero knew there was something on the other side of the barriers who's Vitae still flowed. "Take this" At those words Nero flung one of his skeletal creations at the barrier with his force magic to test the barrier and help decipher a way to siphon its power.

Inwardly cursing, Tuomas backpedaled against the stone altar in the room near the pool of blood.
"Who the devil is trying to enter. Do they not know how dangerous this room can be?"
The youth thought back to the last unfortunate person who wandered into this room without proper escort. They had barely stepped foot across the threshold before their soul was ripped from their body to feed the crystal's growing power.

Aoibheann seemed to appear from nowhere behind Nero. She stood silently for a moment, watching and waiting. Finally, she spoke.
"Sometimes, force isn't alway nessecary," she pointed out to this naive vampire.

Nero's fire elemental rushes the newcomer. "Down boy" At his masters command the elemental recedes. "Well stranger. How do you suppose to enter this gate?"
