"You know, I've never had a broken bone... A dislocated shoulder once, but that's it." -She stated thoughtfully to Azzo, trying to draw his attention to her instead of watching his own arm. It was kind of amazing really... She'd been a fighter.. a warrior for over a year, with more battles under her belt then she really count. And none had ever ended in broken bones? Weird.

Scraps and cuts.. SO many bruises of various size and depth.. and that one dislocated shoulder... the one she had been too frightened to explain to an actual doctor.. That her friend Mili had had to set in the middle of the night, sans any real drugs other than aspirin. Aurora missed Mili... a soft frown forming on her lips when she realized just how long it had been since she'd last seen her friend and dinner partner.

Pulling herself out of her thoughts, she teased Azzo softly.- "You must be very unlucky"

It did help pull Azzo's attention as the doctor worked, still his face twitched each time he felt the bone move until the doctor was Satisfied, "If I didn't know any better, I'd say I was born on a Friday the 13th." Azzo agreed with her giving a nod.

"At least a dislocated shoulder sounds easy to pop back in." He commented as they started casting his arm. Asking him something about a color, "Eh? color?" He lofted a brow at them as they held up what looked to be colored gauze. "Oh... uh a blue I guess?"

He sighed as they worked to finish the casting and write him a prescription. "I didn't know they colored casts." The nurses doped him up a bit more to make sure the pain meds wouldn't wear off too soon, of course it seemed to make Azzo a little bit sleepy or light headed, it was hard to tell.

When they finished and asked who they should hand the papers too Azzo pointed to Aurora, after signing whatever they shoved at him, with a quick glance. "That it?" He asked watching the nurses as they bustled about cleaning up. When he was told that was it he got up, staggered a bit and looked at Aurora. "Can we get out of here before they give me any more of that stuff?"

He asked shaking his head slightly, "We should get take out, I think there's a place that serves omelets up the street; hopefully it's still breakfast time. We can get one for grams too." He added as he offered Aurora his good arm, not letting the nurses wheel him out and call a cab. He'd be damned if he was taken out in a wheel chair, the cab however, might be another story when they got outside...

-His joke gained another soft giggle from her as she nervously looked away. She didn't want to watch them work on him either. To see all those little twitches of pain.. Ughhh.-

"Of course they come in colors, you've always got to accesorize. Are you going to get it signed by everyone?"

-When the papers were slipped her way she signed here and there, before taking the papers on patient care that had been included. And as Azzo stood she stood too, rushing to his side as he wobbled, a shoulder and arm offered for support.

As they walked towards the door, a look of horror touched her face.- "Omelets.. on the street?" -Worries of the sanitation of cooking outside and refined tastes drew out her prejudice. But then again.. she had really enjoyed her first street hotdog vendor... She hazarded curiously.- "Are they really alright? Cooked outside and all.."

Azzo paused, "I... could? Though you know I sorta graduated." There was a slight thoughtful twist. "You could sign it." He said with a shrug, he didn't seem to mind.

He was also thankful when they were done, granted wobbly. He made almost a drunken phbbssttt. Sound at Aurora, "They're not street vendors.... it's a rest.... rest ur..... rest ur ant.... restaurant" He said stumbling over the word making a crossed face as he finally got it. Apparently he and his pain medicine weren't going to get along in the talking department. He sounded a bit like Otis from Andy Griffin, not to mention he walked a bit like him. "They think I'm going to take more of th-is schuff?"

He stumbled slightly as they walked, trying his best to keep a straight path but that was hard when you could barely figure out which way was which. They could drop by the restaurant, he'd let Aurora go in, and order, offering her the money and then they could go back to see Grams. "I'll let you tell... the schory." He said giving a nod.

"I guess it is a little childish..."

"Oh.. that makes more sense then. We can go there." -She watched as his stability and clarity slowly faded away as the drugs worked through his blood stream, steadying her arm all the more as more and more of his weight pressed against her. It reminded her a little of the time she watched over a drugged up Sailor Taranis and she was actually a little nervous he too might start spilling out secrets. It was this worry that made her avoid accepting a cab at first, attempting to walk him down the street by herself.

It took awhile to find the place he'd spoken of, and by the time they paused outside of it she was exhausted. Helping him down onto the bench near the resteraunt, she paused, catching her breath.- "What did you want for yourself and your grandmother?"
PostPosted: Wed May 04, 2011 9:31 pm

He waved his hand at her, "Not what I mean.... Not enough people! Aurora think of it, I don't see many people I know anymore. You, Maybe Yvette... oh I have to call Yvette too..." That thought happened to cause Azzo to wobble off that topic...

Azzo seemed to have no trouble keeping secrets but it was the stories he told, weaving children story after children story into a drunk fashion. Most of which he'd had plans for plays, mixing together goldilocks and the three bears with the little mermaid was probably the least of Aurora's worries. However, he did mention magical girls and how that would probably make a great play fighting monsters and saving people; he was a puppetteer and not quite a writer but Azzo while drunk seemed to be able to make things sound more showy than they were.

"Grams likes ham and cheese in hers." Azzo said he was wobbling a bit but it wasn't quite as bad as when he was walking. "I want... uh.. greenpeppers, onions, ham, andchessseeeeeeeeeee pleassssseeeeeeeeee." He gave a cheese grin as he dug out his wallet with his good hand, offering it to her. "Here... so you can pay for 'em." Azzo smiled at her with a chuckle, "Oh and Hashbrowns! They haff the best hashbrowns arounnnddd." Grams would probably kill him by the time he got home if he was still being this talkative and loopy. "Ohh and see if they have donuts or something, might help sobber me up~!"

-The walk was certainly.. interesting as Azzo weaved from topic and story to the next, lead on by his medicated inebreation. Aurora remained mostly quitely, offering her shoulder for stability and the occassion soft nod or comforting smile. Atleast he seemed kind of happy.. not in pain or upset. It was strange.. but in no way unpleasant compared to the night and morning before.

When they arrived, she tried her best to decipher his request, taking the money when it was offered. Ham and cheese for grandma. Ham, cheese, onions, and green peppers for Azzo. And hashbrowns... And donuts... Her head was actually swimming a little as she stared at the menu board for a long moment trying to decide what she wanted while reciting Azzo's requests over and over in her head.

The place was busy and so luckily she was ready by the time her place in line reached the front. Service was quick too and in under ten minutes she was back out the front, plastic bags dangling from both arms. Warm streams of heat could be seen wafting up from the fresh food if one looked hard enough.-

"I wasn't sure what kind of donut you liked, so I got a bit of a selection. One with fruit in it. One with creme. A glazed and a cinnamon. Which would you like?" -She seemed tired at yet somehow comfortable. It had been awhile since she'd been able to truly mother over anyone and it seemed as if her hormones and tendencies were in full swing.-

While Azzo waited he was humming a weird little ditty his grandfather used to hum, swaying slightly. Azzo was always a big eater, and when Aurora came back with the donuts he smiled, and looked at her as she recited off the selection, which would he like? "What kind-of fruit?" He asked in a slightly drawled out question.

"You got yourself food too right?" He was still humming in between speaking waiting for her to answer. Then looking from her to the bag of donuts, "Which do you want?" He asked in a serious tone as he stood back up, still shaky, however with a bench and a lamppost there he could at least steady himself without her help. He saw cops pass by and give him a strange look, probably because he pretty well seemed drunk in public. Azzo was debating if filled donuts were a good idea with a broke arm, knowing how much of a mess they could make if you weren't careful, which actually made his face contort in a thoughtful jester.

"I got some for myself. Unless you think you need to eat five donuts and two omelets Mr Azzo Crowley.." -She used his full name teasingly, a tone of scolding touching her, as if to warn that even if he thought he wanted that much it would surely give him a belly ache.

Setting the bag that had the donuts down beside him on the bench, shifting the weight of all the warm food against her other hip, she opened the box for him, taking the duplicate fruit donut for herself, leaving the full selection left for him.- "I think it's probably raspberry?" -Her tongue poked out daintly touching the red jam on her donut for a brief second before it slid back behind her lips, her head nodding softly.- "Yeah it's raspberry"

-She took a bite as she waited for him to make his decision, realizing only after the taste had touched her mouth just how hungry she was.-

Azzo blinked hearing her call him by his name. His brow lofted, and he chuckled, "Then you surely don't know how well I can eat." He grinned before looking and picking up one of the cinnamon donuts.

He glanced back at the fruit, "Rasp-berry huh?" He wrinkled his nose, "I'm not a fan. Granted I probably would've eaten it anyways." Azzo didn't normally turn down food, that included donuts he didn't like espeically when he was hungry and doped up on medicine.

"After we eat these... we should get moving again." He yawned slightly. "If nothing else than to prevent the food from getting cold." He fully intended on eating his breakfast before collapsing back on his bed... or the sofa whichever was closest probably.

-She should have known that he was a human garbage disposal.. especially after the little trauma that had brought them then today. She returned his laugh with a small giggle of her own and a bit of an exhausted sigh.

Her donut was dispatched quickly enough, the soft pastry not taking more then a minute or two to finish and then she waited, mirroring his yawn behind a hand.- "Yeah, if your grandma has gotten up and noticed you aren't there I'm sure she's frantic worried about you."
PostPosted: Fri May 13, 2011 10:02 am

Azzo finished his and licked the remaining cinnamon off his fingers, it was a shame to let such go to waste. Once he finally had food in his system he seemed to look a little more stable as he stood up. Though still wobbly he shook his head.

"Nope, knowing grams she'd rather bust my chops for being out before breakfast." He knew that much for sure, Grams would probably rather take the board of education to him than worry. His speech was still a bit slurred to as he spoke "She'll be all-right once she sees we brought food. Hopefully all will be for-given."

He stretched the best he could with a cast on, it was awkward and something he'd have to get use to. "Lets get going." He had wiped his hand on the side of his shirt before offering to help her up. Even as unsteady as he was he sure didn't seem to plan on being rude.

"Is that so..?" It was rhetorical, a sort of knowing glance accompanying it. It was so like boys to assume the worst of their caretakers, to think they too harsh or mean when really it was all about concern. Aurora managed to hold her tongue, keeping the scold at bay for a better time. Really he'd been through enough for the day.

Gathering the rest of the food, she stood next to him, staying close enough to try and help him should he stumble too much on the way home.

Azzo nodded, and chuckled as he walked. Still feeling the buzz from the medicine. "Tell... you what... after we eat. Lets just sleep the rest of the day." He said with a nod. "There's a guest bedroom, you know that tho-ugh, if you want. Maybe those damnable dreams won't come back and break something else."

He was hoping so because he really wanted to scarf down food then sleep the rest of the day. While hoping nothing came back to bite him while he slept, really that was painful.

It didn't take much longer to get back to the house since the food place was on the way. He shook his head and held out a finger as he reminded Aurora to try to be quite as they sneaked into the house. He was hoping they were back before Grams was up, but that was probably too big of a wish as he heard something in the kitchen. "Drats...."

She looked a little skeptical about his suggestion debating the consequences. If she stayed at his house... well how would that look? Disappearing for a day wasn't lady like, ecspecially if it got around that she stayed at some boy's house. Christmas had been different.

And was there class today that she'd be missing? She was so exhausted.. keeping track of dates and days of the week had long ago become a task. It was why she kept a small calender in her desk and put tiny marks on the days.

"I think sleep sounds good" Maybe she could tuck him into bed and then just trudge back home to her own bed. What she would have given to be able to teleport. Well.. other than her soul to corruption.

She was happily quiet upon his request, stiffening like a scared deer as they heard the telltale sign of someone rustling around.
