So you know how Gemini is my best friend. Well lately I've been thinking about her more and more. I've even been dreaming about her. Which is strange because I've never really dreamed about her like this before. And when I do think about her I usually turn bright red which prompts Blue to ask me if I'm feeling alright.
Since I'm Gemini's best friend she came to me one day with a question. She asked me what 'equipment' is. Needless to say I turned bright red.... since I knew exactly what kind of equipment she was asking about. I wasn't able to answer her at first and I'm sure I looked like a fish out of water. After a couple of minutes, she was getting quite impatient with me, I was able to compose myself enough to explain. I was bright red as I explained that the 'equipment' she was asking about were female parts that were needed for reproduction. I could tell that it made her uncomfortable hearing this from a guy but she had asked and I felt the need to explain it to her since she didn't know.
So that had to be the most embarrassing and awkward moment of my life. I hope I never have to answer a question like that again.

So it's been a while since I last wrote. School has been picking up and the teachers are really handing out the homework. But that's not why I'm writing. I'm writing about the rumors that I've heard recently.
I didn't hear who those girls were talking about but only caught the nasty and mean things they were saying. I won't say or even write what they said but know that it was bad, very bad. I didn't think much of it because well.... I had my mind on other things and I just figured it was those mean girls being mean.
But Savannah came to me after school today. Normally I don't see her at all unless its at lunch but she purposely came to my locker. "Conan. Is Gem alright? In fact are you alright?" She asked me. I didn't know what she was talking about and told her that. "You idiot! Don't you listen to what people are saying in this school? Haven't you heard those nasty rumors?" I said yeah but I don't pay attention to them. She smacked on the head for that. "IDIOT! Those rumors are about Gem! Those.... those..... b!@#$ are spreading all those nasty rumors about Gem!"
I was shocked. I mean kind, sweet Gem was the target of those malicious rumors! I should have known when they started going on about 'parts'. It made me furious to know those girls were talking about Gem and completely lying about it. I told Savannah not to worry about it and left. But I'm not sure what to do. Should I step in and tell those girls off or should I go to Gem first? I feel so useless and ashamed that I didn't catch this in the beginning and that I don't know what to do now.
And there's another thing. I'm not sure what to say or do around Gem anymore. Those rumors all started because she showed interest in one of the boys on the swim team..... which means she likes him. What I am supposed to do when the girl I love my best friend likes someone else?

A terrible thing happened the other day. Nergüi decided to do something about the matter of Gem being bullied. Turns out they were in the same class as the girl who started it all. Anyways I hear that she made a bet with her to win a race and the girl accepted. Only Nergüi asked for a proxy and somehow got Gem to race. Well Gem won, naturally. I mean I've never met anyone who can swim as fast as her.
But the terrible thing is that after the race the girl pushed Nergüi into the pool and she drowned. I was, fortunately, passing by on my way to the library when I heard something. I looked in the pool room and saw Nergüi get pushed in. I ran in and took off my coat/mantle cause it would weigh me down. I then dove in and pulled her back up. The teacher did CPR and revived her.
I need to talk to Blue about getting lessons on how to do CPR. It could never hurt to have a skill like that. Plus when Nergüi realized who did CPR she shuddered so bad..... so I think it really grossed her out or something. I don't see why. After all the teacher saved her life. It wasn't like he was making out with her.
So back to the story..... the girl got expelled, the other girls who didn't do anything to help but saw it got suspended, and Nergüi was in the hospital for a couple of days. This drowning incident became the talk of the school and you know why? Because people saw Nergüi cry. They didn't even care that she nearly died! Just that she broke down and cried in front of everyone. They infuriate me sometimes! Ah but I gotta go. Bran wants to go out and it's time for her walk.

Well it's been a few days and Nergüi is finally out of the hospital. But that's not the big news. Blue went out for a walk the day Nergüi got out and was gone for quite awhile. When she came back we didn't notice as we were watching a movie. She finally made herself known and to our surprise she had another dew.
The new dew is very pretty and loves to 'sing'. Her name is Charis and I get the feeling that she'll be like me. I don't know if I mean that she'll be canine or be 'proper'. Maybe both.
The next day we were trying to find something for Charis to wear when she grew. Blue thought that she might be ready to grow soon. Charis shot down everything Nergüi picked out and I went into her room to find a manga. It had a picture of a dress that Charis might like. But when I walked out I ran into Nergüi who nearly bit my head off.
When I showed Charis the picture she immediately rang out in pleasure. So Blue got a copy of it and took it to the seamstress who does our clothes. She also went out grocery shopping so I told her I would watch Charis. It was strange though. Charis is usually singing but while I watched her, she was silent. I thought something was wrong but she wouldn't answer me when I asked. Finally Blue got home and I told her. She went in to check on Charis and then a flash of light appeared. Charis must have been fighting to not grow until Blue got home. I don't know why though.... But Charis isn't happy because she has to wear Nergüi's hand-me-downs until her clothes are done.

So Nergüi is back in school and everything has gone back to normal as it can be. Nergüi spends most of her time with her clubs or doing her odd part time jobs to earn money to buy plants for the garden. Kristopher is working at his part time job and fixing up the garden's wooden structures. I on the other hand am left with nothing to do. I don't have anything to contribute to the garden and I have no clubs to hang out with, and my best friend has been avoiding me.
Yes that's right Gemini has been avoiding me ever since the incident in school. I don't know why she has been avoiding me (and Nergüi for that matter). Did I do something wrong? Did I say something wrong or bad? .... Did she find out how I feel about her and is now too embarrassed to be around me?! I don't think I've acted differently around her so I don't know how she could have found out, so I don't think that's it.
But with her avoiding me I've discovered how lonely of a life I have. Most of my friends are other Dreams and that haven't been around in ages. Life just doesn't seem quite a good without Gemini in it, almost as if a light has gone out. Without her around I've become depressed and everyone in my family has noticed. Even Bran. She's trying to do everything to distract me and when that doesn't work she just lays next to me and rests her head on me. I do hope that whatever is keeping Gemini away fixes itself so she may come back and I can see her. I miss her so much.

So things with Gem have finally worked themselves out. It seems she was avoiding me and Nergüi because she thought we would be mad at her. I don't know how she got that thought into her head but she was wrong! I am so happy to see her again and to hear her voice and to hang out with her. If only things could stay like that forever......

It appears that my dreams are crushed again. I had been thinking of telling Gem how I feel about her (no thanks to Nergüi who keeps pushing me to) but I am too late. It appears that Gem's 'dream' guy has finally confessed to her: Kai. Just thinking about him raises the hair on my hackles neck (Kris quit stealing my journal!). I don't really care for the guy and his sudden confession makes me like him less.
You see I heard from Nergüi about how he confessed and I don't like the sounds of it. He didn't even wait to see if she said yes! That is not a true gentleman. I swear if ever does anything to Gem....... I'll rip his throat out.
But hearing about how she is now dating saddens me. In fact I've caught Kai kissing her cheek (clearly going for lips but Gem turned her head) in school. It makes me want to growl and cry. In fact I think I did growl once cause someone gave me an odd look. I can't believe I've missed my chance to tell Gem how I feel and to make my dream of being with her forever come true.

Oh joyous tidings! Gem sent me a letter the other day asking me to meet her at the garden as she wanted to talk to me. You know why this makes me so happy? Because now I can finally tell her how I feel. You see she broke up with Kai.... or rather he dumped her as he was only using her ( I'm going to rip his throat out now). Somehow I have to tell her before she tells me whatever it is she wishes to speak with me. It goes against all I know as I was always taught that ladies go first but this time I must break that rule.
My tidings only get better! ..... this is after the meeting with Gem. I told her how I felt..... in fact I proposed to her. Nothing I could have said felt more right than what I did say. But I'm getting a little sidetracked. GEM ACCEPTED! I can't believe she said yes! ..... so not only am I now dating her but we're engaged! ..... oh god I gotta hide the journal now. Blue doesn't know yet!
I still need to get a ring..... I told her I had the money for one. Truth be told I don't but I'll go out and get a job or something so I can save up and get one. So many things need to be planned still.... and we still need to tell our guardians but today is the happiest day of my life. I love you Gemini.

So thinking about having to buy a ring finally gave me the push to go get a job. Usually I'd prefer to focus on my studies but I want to put a ring on Gem's finger as soon as possible. So I began looking around online and filling out applications. Then I went into town and began looking at shops to see if there were any that help wanted signs up. Several did so I went in and applied.
After a few days I got several phone calls asking for interviews. None of them panned out as I was nervous and sort of bombed the interview questions. I also think they didn't like the idea of me being a wolf boy. On my way home from my last interview at a grocery store I happened to noticed the small in town pet store. They had a sign up and I went inside. I was greeted by utter chaos. It seems that some of the puppies and older dogs broke out of the 'greeting' room and were pestering the cats and kittens who were in cages. Birds were squawking and some even flying around. The only worker I could see was nearly in tears and unable to control the animals.
After watching this for a moment I let out a piercing whistle and then yelled out 'SIT!'. All of the animals instantly quieted and the dogs all sat down and turned their heads to look at me. Some of them began to lower themselves down as if cowering while others began to wag their tails. "Do you need any help ma'am?" I asked as I walked over to the worker who was now staring at me.
"..... How did you do that? I couldn't even get one to sit... or be quiet." The worker said in awe. It was then that my question sunk in. "Oh yes if you don't mind." She replied.
I told her I didn't and proceeded to herd the puppies and dogs into the 'greeting' room. She managed to get the birds in their cages or on their perches. By the time I came back into the room she was sitting down near the counter with her head in her hands. "Oh thank you so much. I have a customer coming in later to look at the dogs but when I went to get the last one in the room they all rushed out." She explained, "Oh.... I'm Lucy.... is there anything I can help you with?" She seemed to just realized that she forgot to greet me.
"It's alright. I was hoping to get an application.... I saw the help wanted sign." I replied. She all but jumped over me when I said that. I was hired on the spot as she didn't care if I had any experience only that I could control the animals. She explained that it would be easy to learn the ropes but she didn't have anyone who was able to control the animals all that well and from what she had just saw... well that qualified me in her book. And seeing how she owned the store, she could do anything she wanted when it came to hiring new people. She even thinks my appearance will bring in people.
So now I have a job and an interesting one too. I think Blue will be jealous when I tell her when she gets home. Hopefully it won't take me too long to save up enough money for the ring. Oh... I start my job this weekend.

So my new job has made my life pretty hectic. Blue is quite happy about my job and I could tell that she wished she had a job like it. But she isn't really jealous about it and encourages me to do my best.
So Lucy taught me the ropes for running the register and caring for the different pets. All of the animals really love me, save for the cats. They don't like me much. Also Lucy was right: I did bring in the customers. The shop is really busy with parents bringing in kids or just older kids or adults who want company.
I try hard to put the right pet with the right person but it doesn't always work. Especially with the parents who bring in the kids. The kids get their heart set on something on won't take no for an answer. It's so hard to let the parents buy the pets when the animal is clearly unhappy to be selected. Of course this isn't always the case. There are some animals that are delighted with the people getting them. Those are the best times right there.

It's been super busy and hectic around here. Graduation is coming up.. and yes you may be going but Conan I thought you were only in 10th grade..... well apparently we Dreams learn really fast. They had to give me and Nergüi advanced classes because we ended up breezing through our other work. Ha take that Kris!
Of course my job has been keeping me busy. Lucy does her best but the animals only seem to behave well around me. Needless to say I've been working a lot. Which is fine. I'm getting close to having enough money for an engagement ring. And naturally I've been spending time with Gemini. As much as I can.
Oh... the real reason I'm writing is because Blue finally found out. I had to tell her otherwise Nergüi would have. I sat Blue down after I told her I had something important to tell her. She looked suspicious but I don't think she realized what I was going to say. I told her nice and calmly that I was engaged to Gemini and still she flipped out. Told me that we were rushing it, we were too young, still in school, didn't know what we were in for, not ready for the responsibilities to come. I sort of expected it.... but it was disheartening that she jumped right into that. I had to tell her we would be fine. It wouldn't be happening soon. It would be a bit of a longer engagement. We both wanted to finish high school and I was still saving up money for a ring and just about everything at this point.
That seemed to calm her down some but she shook her head and said "Kids". She did congratulate me and Gemini but I can tell she's not happy. I don't know if its because I kept it from her for so long, or that we're so young, or if its because I'll be leaving. It seems we'll all be leaving soon... at least she'll still see us and have Charis..... but now I can only wonder how Blue will handle all of us older dreams leaving.

So now to write about Halloween last year. It was... wow.... Blue's and Corny's groups got together and did a huge Alice in Wonderland theme. We also all went together trick or treating. Everyone loved us and kept asking where we got our costumes. Gemini sowed most of them and I think Nergüi helped some. Gem was Alice, Branka was the Red Queen, Charis was the White Queen, Chad was the Jabberwocky, Ourania was the Cheshire Cat, Kris was the Mad Hatter, Nergüi was the Dormouse, and I was the White Rabbit.
It was amazing and fun to hang out like that! Messing around and acting like our characters. We got so much candy from it too. Of course Chad and Kris ran off half way through as did Nergüi. But Gem was... wow she looked wonderful. T-that's not to say that the rest of us didn't too! I mean the little girls looked adorable in their dresses and I must say I looked pretty dashing. Kris looked insane and Chad looked pretty fierce-some.
After we were done Charis was already plotting what to do next year. I don't even want to think what she'll try to come up with. Oh and after we were done trick or treating I took Gem on a small date. It was a nice little night time picnic in the garden. The candy was especially delicious that night.

So um... there is other big news to report. It appears Bran has been pregnant and will soon be giving birth. I don't know when or how she got pregnant but I guess I wasn't careful enough with her as she hasn't been fixed yet. After she gives birth she will be taken in to be fixed.
After finding out about her new motherly status I took her to the vet to make sure she was healthy. I also wanted to know if there was any special care I needed to give her. The vet gave me some advice and I've been following it. Her belly is so big now. That's how I know she'll be due soon.. that and she's been acting funny.
I suppose its a natural thing for animals to make a birthing spot or to hang around it when its close to their time. I haven't really had time to look it up. Charis has been oddly interested in Bran being pregnant and what will happen to the puppies. I don't know if she wants to keep one or what but something tells me Charis might be involved with Bran being pregnant.

Fourth of July. A busy night full of excitement. Blue was unable to take Charis to the fireworks so it fell to me to take her. Since you know Nergüi and Kris couldn't take her. I naturally asked if Gem wanted to join us as well as the two girls. Gem agreed but didn't seem to thrilled with the idea. Made me wonder if she didn't like fireworks. Also the two girls came with us, Ourania and Branka.
I had some small fireworks and sparklers for the girls to do while we waited for the main show. There were vendors walking around and naturally I bought them all glow sticks. Blue gave me the money for it. Ourania seemed to be very interested in the glow sticks while Branka and Charis were harder to tell. Branka... well like she always is is hard to read. Charis wasn't impressed as far as I could tell but yet she held onto it and wouldn't let Ourania have it.
They all seemed to enjoy the sparklers. Meanwhile the small fireworks didn't seem to bother the girls although it seemed like Charis didn't like the noise some of them made. Gem.... I could tell she liked the sparklers but the fireworks... I do think they bother her. I didn't find out for sure until the main show. She clung to my arm and I think I felt some shaking from her. I did my best to comfort her but after a really loud big one Charis was clinging to my other arm. Her ears were down and she was shaking as well. Later she told me it was mostly the noise hurt her ears but I think she was also scared of them. I was too busy with them to notice how Ourania and Branka reacted to the fireworks. I did keep an eye on them to make sure they didn't wander off.
Afterwards when the show was all over I had to carry Charis as she was quickly falling asleep. So were the other two girls and I eventually had to carry Branka. Ourania ended up with Gem in her wheelchair. I took Gem and two little girls home first before heading home with Charis. It was a good night even if Charis and Gem were scared of the fireworks.

Oh forgot to write about but we've graduated. It wasn't anything special really. Just the ceremony at school where they handed out the diplomas. Blue was there along with Charis, Corny, Branka, and Ourania. I think Blue may have cried at one point.... but she cheered so loudly for us when we went up. We didn't have a big party or anything. She did take us all out to dinner and it was great.
Now that I'm out of high school I think I'm going to go to college. Going into a field with animals would be nice but with my searching skills and my love of mysteries and such I think I'd like to be a private investigator. I would take classes they offer for police officers and security officers and go from there. Maybe I'll even work with the police for a while. I'll have to talk to Gem and see how she feels about it. I know not many people like being married to those in such dangerous jobs.... but it sounds great to be able to help people like that.
As for my current job... I've been working a lot doing full day shifts. I almost have enough money to finally get Gem her ring. It's simple but I think she'll like it. I already talked to the jewelry shop and have put some money on it so they won't sell it. Just another week or so of full day shifts and I'll be able to get it.
