In my opinion, generalization of all guys being bitches or anything else is stupid. Everyone says every guy they know is an a*****e, and they are, but absolutely no one talks about any guy that does anything nice. Then again, what forum would this one be otherwise?

I think that guy's an a**, and the girls a slut, and you should try and focus on who you can do better with. Even if you like him, or he likes you, or what have you, if he talks to you about things like this, he just isnt worth your time and energy. Perhaps there is someone out there who does, or has.

Just because this guy is hurting you doesn't mean that all guys are jerks. I've met plenty of jerky guys and plenty of nice guys, just like I have met plenty of jerky women and plenty of nice women.

Not to mention that he might not being calling her his girlfriend or saying that he loves her because he thinks that would be rubbing it in your face and he's trying not to hurt you. Or it's possible that he's uncomfortable talking about his feelings like that. You can't assume that he doesn't love her just because he doesn't come right out and tell you or the rest of Facebook that he does.

As for the girl, wanting to have sex after a month doesn't necessarily make her a slut. People all feel ready at different times, and that's ok. But I'm assuming she's also young and feeling some pressure to have sex on a "special day," which might sort of be confusing her and making her think she's more ready than she actually is.

So from what you said I think it would probably be better if they didn't have sex today. If he knew they were both ready for it, then he wouldn't have to ask. Since he asked, that suggests that he isn't ready or he doesn't think she's ready. And that means they should probably wait. They don't need to rush just because it's a holiday. They should wait until they both feel emotionally prepared, have a place where they won't get walked in on, understand how pregnancy happens, have at least one method of birth control, understand STDs, understand how to protect themselves against STDs, and have a way to get to the doctor (for paps, hormonal birth control, STD tests, and anything else they might need - that's mostly for her but also somewhat for him too).

totally agree with this, btw. it's all actually pretty confusing because kids are fed with all kinds of different ideas and morals and pressures from their peers. don't have sex, do have sex, do it now, wait. if you don't have sex, you're called a prude; if you do, you're called a slut. but in the end, only you can decide what you're comfortable with, and people should respect that.
but that's also why i don't agree with the whole having sex for the first time on valentine's day thing, because girls are given the idea that they're SUPPOSED to. in that kind of situation, girls often end up regretting their first time, and that's really sad to me. : /

I liked a girl since October, even wrote a poem for her (yesterday). And today she turned me down in a way that I felt like doing something to myself. I guess I'm pretty hopeless.

But if I'd give you any advice, guys ask girls for tips on love. Most guys don't know crap about it, and sometimes it could end up weird like that. Just remember that he's as clueless as you think he is sometimes.
I can honestly say that seeing as I'm a guy and know other guys.
