From the sound of it, his message had gone through well enough, and for that he was glad. Language barriers could be awkward in some situations, but they also had the potential to be dangerous if pertinent information was unable to be shared, information such as the existence of dangerous beings! So he was glad to hear that she understood, both the message and possible dangers the Kalona posed.

Her comment about his father's tastes caused Guiliaume's mouth to twitch slightly, as he said to himself how little an idea anyone else could possibly have on that score. He found it baffling to the nth degree himself, and more than a little unsettling...which, in turn, contributed somewhat to his very presence here! He'd done his best to try and adjust, but to find himself in such a foreign world had been too much.

"He is very differently from me, yes. It is still very strangeness for me, very strangeness. And it is not easy for me to...get my head in. So, I have taken some time to myself, to...adjust." It was true to say that he wasn't bored, but it was equally true to say that he was overwhelmed. Given the choice, he would probably rather be bored. Boredom was much easier to deal with, and much easier to rectify. He hated the unnatural feeling of being on edge.

"And that time is why you find yourself here," she smiled beneath her mask and nodded. It was beginning to make sense now, granted it had started to make sense a while ago, but now it seemed so clear. This oddity of a stallion had dropped into her life in such an unexpected manner because he was, just like her, foreign. He wasn't completely aware of where the locals preferred to relax, where they gathered... By the sounds of it he'd come with the intention of finding his father.

"Well, you can be sure of one thing..." she cast her gaze towards the Blacksmith as he wandered in and out, raising a brow at his increasingly dishevelled appearance. "They will not bother you here if you wish to stay," she concluded. For all the faults of these humans, they were a kind lot and she had yet to see the mistreat any of their animals, particularly their horses.

While she might have been a wife's novelty, the Blacksmith even doted on his own mounts as well. They were invaluable creatures and as such, they needed to be treated as such.

"Although they may wish to examine your wings," she pursed her lips and eyed them. "Do the feathers fall off at all?"

He had to admit, it sounded pleasant to be left to his own devices for a time. He knew his family meant well, but there seemed to still be an insurmountable chasm between him and the rest of his lineage when it came to 'alone space'. Though he had to amend that thought; he knew he had many siblings and had only met a few, so obviously his whole family did not have space issues. Those he'd met had been enough, though, for him to realize he was a different sort of Soquili.

"I would like very much to be...around...but alone," he agreed. "Assuming it would not be an...intrude." He didn't have any other plans for himself at the moment, so the idea of staying around and improving his French sounded very appealing! Though he would hate to be the center of attention, and he found himself shuffling his wings self consciously at her remarks. "Sometimes I lose them. Not many." He paused uncertainly, then asked, "Would my wings be in...harm?" Not that he mistrusted the villagers specifically, but he had long since come to learn that one had to be careful. His wings were very important to him both structurally and aesthetically, and he certainly ought to know if they could be in danger!

Aziza couldn't speak for all of the humans in the compound, but the ones she had observed didn't appear to pose a thread. Curiosity was one thing, but outright assault was a different matter entirely. While they might inspect him, it was unlikely that they would pull his feathers out in chunks... although if the children became troublesome... She pursed her lips for a few moments as she considered his query and then she shook her head. She would appreciate some company, an opportunity to improve her english and if push came to shove, she could have a 'bad day' and scare the offspring away.

"If they sometimes fall out then they might take them," she confirmed with a small smile. "They won't pull them out, but they like to put them on their heads," as if on cue, one of the merchants wandered passed, his hat adorned with a rather extravagant ostrich feather. It wasn't quite as colourful as Guiliaume's but it was certainly impressive in its own right!

"The children might be a little more troublesome," she confessed and then chuckled, "But I can deal with them easily enough; they know not to cross the masked mare!" she announced with a surprising amount of flare that she rarely displayed.

"So you will stay? I promise that no one will bother you, you can have the time you need to recuperate."

Some might question the fact that Guiliaume was so willing to take Aziza at her word. After all, he’d only just met her, and he had no reason to assume she was being truthful with him. A more skeptical or cynical Soquili might decide to play things much more cautiously, at least until he knew the area (and the mare) better. But Guiliaume had never been one to assume the worst of people. He’s seen a lot of questionable behavior in his youth, but the Soquili had still been universally pleasant. Not his kind of Soquili, but he’d had no reason to fear or disbelieve them. Though perhaps that had been more a testament to his mother than anything; she may have been a very hedonistic Soquili, but it was on her terms, and she never would have brought home anyone who would have been a danger to her son.

Besides that, Guiliaume liked Aziza. She was very tolerant with his slow speech and mistakes, and had been welcoming and friendly. She didn’t seem like the sort of creature of which one should be suspicious, mask aside. And this village seemed peaceful enough…if a little eccentric.

If I am to be losing feathers, anyone who sees them may keep them, for I won’t have purpose for them when they are separated.” He eyed the feathered merchant as he passed, thinking that there was no accounting for taste in some creatures, but if they wanted to be colorful they would! He didn’t consider himself vain, but he did hope that fellow wouldn’t be one who ended up with his feathers. Or at least that he took the ostrich feathers out first!

He shook his head as the man passed out of sight, then smiled at Aziza. “I think I will stay.

Well, it was settled then! Aziza was to have company for the foreseeable future, or more accurately, until he had regained his 'sanity' enough to return to exploring and introducing himself to his family. She couldn't help but feel just a little surge of pleasure at the thought of company and while he may not speak perfect french, she could always assist him in improving that. More importantly, he could probably assist her in learning the local tongue...granted she had always struggled to learn other languages but this was one that she had to put considerable effort into.

If she didn't, she'd end up rather alone indeed.

"Then it is settled!" she gave a beautific smile and gestured with her head towards the barn. "The people can have the feathers you moult and you can make yourself at home with me," she lifted her hoof and pointed to the door; while the blacksmith continued to wander in and on of his own accord, that was ultimately where she slept...and suffice it to say, it was much more cozy than the weather out here!

"We sleep in there, it is very warm and comfortable so you will not have to worry about bad weather," she murmured and with that in mind, wandered towards it. It may not have been time for bed yet, but it was better that he had a chance to familiarise himself first.
