As soon as the chains melted away, Ryn landed face first onto the ground. A muffled sound of pain came from him, before he pushed himself up weakly.
"Egh..I can move, just not very well. I haven't felt this drained since..well, ever.
I appreciate all this and all, but what now? It's not like I can really do much in my current state." he said, picking up Leto and placing her on top of his head.

The little cat circled around a few times to get herself comfortable before curling up happily in Ryn's hair and giving a soft purr. Hazel walked around Ryn a few times while thinking before reaching into a pocket and pulling out a small box. She looked at it hesitantly.
"Well.....if you want...I can help you get your powers back..."
She looked down at the grounds, suddenly very interested in watching her feet.

Thinking nothing of it, Ryn took the box from Hazel and looked at it for a few minutes before speaking again.
"So..This will give me some form of power back? As long as this helps me be able to protect people.." he said, as he unlatched the box and slowly opened it.

As soon as the box was opened, a dark energy burst from it's confines to pour directly into Ryn's heart. It swam through his veins unlocking new powers that he had never felt before while shrouding his soul in shadows. As the surge of darkness subsided, it sank deep to lodge itself into his very essence. Through his mind, a familiar voice began to echo.in a small giggle Did you miss me, Ryn? You honestly didn't think that I would die so easily, did you? That was nothing more than a minor annoyance. I'll gain my form back soon enough.

Almost overwhelmed by the sheer power flooding into him, Ryn could feel himself growing stronger, but as soon as he heard Nyx's voice, he began growl.
"I knew you weren't dead..What the hell do you want with me? I quit your precious Council! I'm not some lapdog, nor am I going to serve you.." he said, aloud. The Darkness flowing into him continued, as his left eye slowly faded from it's normal color to a Silver Color.

Silly, Ryn. You know that a member of the Council remains one for life. You already swore to me your allegiance, and your soul. Or could it be that you don't want my help? At these words, the power within Ryn's body seemed to flicker, fading away. I can always let you stay this way. Pathetic... weak... human... Is this what you want?

"I doubt you'd let me just simply walk away, even if I choose to remain myself..I know your ways and no one just gets out that easily. If I have to, I'll find my own path, my own power.." he said, his right eye now changing from it's normal color, back into the red that it once was when he was a Shadow Dragon..

With a slight giggle, Nyx let images begin to flow into Ryn's head. Ari's figure danced through his mind's eye, drenched in the blood of others. Soon following, Ryn could see the bodies of his former friends mangled and lying upon the ground in a rotting pile at Ari's feet as Luferius stood laughing at her side. Find your own power? Do you think you have enough time? They will change her into one of them. Don't you feel it already? More images scrolled passed, each becoming more detailed and more grotesque than the last. Without my help, you'll die. The execution grounds are already waiting for you, eager to have your death bleed out on it. Do you still think you have the luxury to refuse me?

The various images shot through his mind, and as time progressed, he was becoming more and more angry.
"Ari isn't like them! Do you enjoy toying with me?! These are nothing more than illusions! You know nothing about her, and I'm not going to die to anyone, let alone to Luferius! I'll take your help, but it's my choice to use the power however I deem fit!" he said, throwing the box into the ground.

The giggle echoed off into the distance as the roar of power flooded over Ryn. As it sank into his soul, it began to fuse with the light as well. As quickly as the change had begun, it ended.

Hazel and the little cat looked at Ryn before exchanging curious looks between themselves. Standing up on her tiptoes, the witch cleared her throat and waved a hand in Ryn's face.
"Ryn-Ryn?"
The cat on his head stiffened and looked at the door with an anxious meow.
"Uh-oh! We've got to get out of here!"
The witch took a piece of chalk from her pocket and began making circles on the ground. Once finished, she held her arms out to the cat.
"Quick, Leto! We have to run!"
The blue cat looked hesitant, not wanting to give up the comfy spot it had on Ryn's head. Hazel pouted, and finally Leto jumped to land on top of her hat.Stepping into the makeshift portal, she motioned for Ryn to follow before vanishing in a pinkish glow.

The massive doors slammed open as Luferius rushed into the Interrogation room. His eyes blazed with an all to evident fury as he drew his blade examining the room. "Having a little help, Kuromaru? Perhaps I should just end your miserable existence right here."

Ryn growled as he came back to, fully alert of everything around him. His eyes began to glow their respective color as it was evident something had changed within him. Some different power radiated through his form as he glared at Luferius.
"Like hell I'm going to die to you, nor anyone else. I'm going to protect Ari whether you like it or not." he said, fully calm and collected.

A harsh laugh echoed off the stone walls of the dungeon as the vampire took up an expert fighting stance, blade not wavering from his intended target. "I am afraid that your services are not necessary any longer. After all, she has me now." Having sensed the commotion, several other guards rushed into the room to surround Ryn.

A small hand reached out of a portal next to Ryn and grabbed onto his arm. Hazel's voice could be heard from inside the portal.
"Get in here!"
She tugged at him, pulling him forcefully into the vortex.
