(oh snap sorry I looked back. I thought he said she wasn’t a lot of use at first.)
“Alright.” Ion reached a paw out tentatively. She tapped it on the water’s surface and took a moment to look at the ripples in the eerie light. It was mysterious and alluring all at the same time. She stepped into the water and soon enough was splashing happily while cleaning herself off. She didn’t particularly love swimming but getting clean was always good. She stripped off her jacket in the water and did her best to clean it out too.
She got out of the water reluctantly. She was starting to feel tired again. The bath had relaxed and she yawned. It took a while to wring out her coat. Then she headed back to where Akori was at the split between the pools. She had her coat draped over her back but kept her paws out of the sleeves. She didn’t want her fir to stay wet.

Akori wadded in but played with the water a bit with his paw. It was a weird feeling to say the least. He had only ever spent an hour or a few minutes around Ion. Now he was going to be spending the night and part of the next day or days even? His heart fluttered a bit. He was happy but at the same time nervous. Maybe she would see he was weird and leave. Finally jumping to clean himself off he finished and got out of the water shaking a bit to get off the excess. He looked over to Ion again to notice she was out as well and yawning. It was probably best they get some sleep then.

Ion saw Akori and trotted up next to him with her tail wagging slowly behind her. She was getting very sleepy still she did manage a smile for Akori. She was about to ask him something when she was interrupted by a very large yawn. She blinked her eyes and rubbed one with a paw. “Sorry about that. Mm if you don’t mind my asking where are we to sleep at?” Ion looked around in the eerie light. The place was alien to her. By all rights she should have felt scared. In many new and strange places she felt a sense of unease or worry. Not here though. She was in a temple all nice and clean.. and she felt safe. She wasn’t sure if it was because Akori said Osiris was here tonight or if it was because Akori was here with her.

"Well because there is still a chance of predators to get in there was a sleeping quarters for the priests at night that only one that tends to Osiris an enter. I just send a little bit of my magic into it and the door opens up." Akori explained and lead her to said door. It was another carving of fish, jackals and of Osiris himself. Akori closed his eyes and placed his muzzle at the door watching as it swung in and open. He went in and lightly sparked the torches so they would catch on fire to light up the room. small piles of pillows and human beds lay all over the room. Akori winced as he took a step into the room. He wasnt as skilled as his dad in using magic and it often drained him especially if he had seen narbles that day.

Ion was amazed when the door swung open after Akori only put his muzzle to it. Then the torches lit up. It was amazing . Even as tired as she was Ion was still dazzeled. She stepped into the room after Akori. He seemed really tired too. She didn’t want to have to watch Akori close the doors to keep predators out by himself so she leaned on the door from the inside expecting to put a lot of force on the door. When it shut slowly but easily she looked at Akori surprised. Was this how all temples were made? She surveyed the room full of pillows and beds. Oh how they all looked so soft. She just wanted to curl up on a bed and sleep. Still she wanted to make sure Akori got to bed first. His family was sick so it was possible he might be on a verge of being sick and not know it. She looked at him. He looked tired and bit pale. Yep sleep was what he needed. She would be sure to stick nearby if he asked for something. “Well since you are the shaman why not pick your bed first? After all I’m a visitor and don’t want to mess up the bed order if there is one. Can I do anything for you before we get some sleep?”

With a sort of detached view point he watched as Ion closed the door the magic quickly helping her before he tilted his head. "Most temples make for closing easily once magic is put into them. There a bit of other stuff worked in to the temple to ward off theft but I dont think we need to worry about those" he stated. "ah no really there isnt really an order as long as my dad isnt here but I guess I can go first." he yawned and then blushed a bit not quite intending to do so. "ah no I should be okay just need some sleep" he smiled.

Ion nodded but still stayed by Akori. She wanted to be nearby if he needed anything. “Magic is useful. But there are some things that foxes can do themselves which is important. I think it’s important to take time to make things ourselves rather than speeding things up with magic. Mm patience to make good things or something like that.” She looked down embarrassed but she thought her view held some merit. “Well then you just get some sleep. I’ll be nearby if you need anything.” She tried to rub sleep out of her eyes and look determined. Instead she looked like she was cute and stubborn.

"well mostly you have to do that with magic. with prie... oops shamans its not as if we have the magic from the fairy tales or the same as modeities but we can do little things like protecting doors influencing the water, fire, earth. Creating a small breeze. Dad can even sort of talk to the modeities of the tribe. Then again thats because he's a modiphim. This temple was made with human hands and labor but for protection and things like that they used magic. When you are gifted with the ability of a shaman the modeities pick you for your character and if you abuse their gifts they quickly take away your abilities." he tried to explain. "so we also need to do what you said as well. Its all complicated and things" he stated shaking his head. Akori nibbled on his lower lip and tried not to laugh. She looked very cute trying to act all determined but decided sleep was in order and curled up on his chosen bed.

“Well that’s fair. If you have the gifts then you should use them for the benefit and protection of the tribe… Your dad is modiphim?” Ion was curios. She had met a few phims, though that was very briefly. Was that why Akori was so kind and caring? Ion yawned as she shoved a bunch of pillows by the bed Akori had chosen. She then flopped down the pillows and wriggled around until she was comfortable. The result was that Ion was buried in a nest of pillows next to Akori’s bed. The pillows were so soft and she felt safe. Ion’s eyelids were drooping to the point where the world was nothing more than a blur. Ion was going to ask if Akori needed anything like a bowl of water brought to the bed. Instead she ended up yawning again and lost track of time as the oblivion of sleep overtook her.

"yes, a genuine full blooded modiphim. Of course my mother was a regular and all my brothers and sister so far are normal as well. I guess they'll try again for a modiphim sibling. However Kemet is really weird as it has two phims. At one point in time it had four and Horus said something about eventually we might get a few more" he answered. Watching as she fell asleep Akori also felt his self falling asleep.
Akori was suddenly bolted out of bed by a rather large trumpeting sound. Was a lion trying to kill an elephant. It was loud enough to wake him up from the other side of the river. As nothing other than antelope or wilder beast would try and cross the Iteru. Looking out the window he could see a faint bit of sunshine signaling that it was the next day.

Ion was dreaming soundly. She had a pillow wrapped tighly by her paws and somehow ended up half buried in her pillow pile as she slept. She dreamed of many things that night. Most she couldn’t remember. Hints of orange and red like flames. So warm and comfortable. In her deams Ion felt so safe and accepted. It was nice. There were other masses of color in the dream some brown and some black. Ion had no idea what she was dreaming about.
Still asleep she rolled over. “Warm… Ako…” She smiled happily in her dreams. The pillow flexed in two as Ion pulled it even closer to her sleeping form. The tip of her tail wagged back and forth slowly. Her belly was facing the open air as Ion had rolled onto her back in her sleep.
(She has the sleeping posture of a lazy cat >.<)

Akori was caught by something Ion was muttering in her sleep and looked over. had she not heard the elephants? Maybe it was his hearing spiking up to weird levels. It occasionally did so. "Warm Ako?" he said puzzled. What did warm Ako mean. well one think came to mind but it was missing some letters. It was about then he noticed her sleeping position and laughed a bit. he wondered if he should disappear into the temple and raid the berry and other dry food wells. Of course he would have to tell persephone to refill them but... then again what if Ion woke up while he was gone and freaked out. not saying she would but if she did it would be a mean trick to pull on her.

Ion woke up staring upward at Akori. “ mmm morning. ” One paw unwrapped from the plush pillow and Ion waved at the male fox. “So um.. we have to go get food and off it to Osiris right?" Ion’s tail started to wag since she was excited to help Akori out. He was looking down at her and she couldn’t help but blush and try to turn over as unembarrassingly as possible. This was rather difficult as she was encumbered by a number of soft fuzzy pillows. Rolling off her pillow pile she landed on the floor. She stood up quickly. “um um.. Shall we go?”

Akori watched the whole rolling over fiasco with a small amused smile. Eventually he turned around to give her a little bit of relief as obviously the whole thing was embarrassing her. "yep clean off the shrine a bit, burn the incense and offer up food. No fish however." Akori pointed out looking back over to see she was on her feet again. "oh slightly belated good morning. " he stated remembering his manners. "hope I didnt wake you, although you did sleep though the elephants so I guess I would hardly wake you up" he teased.

“Elephants? I slept through elephants!” Ion looked at Akori horrified. How deeply had she slept that she would miss out on seeing elephants? She had heard some stories about elephants but never seen any before. “Let’s hurry up and get to work cleaning and such. If we move fast enough do you think we could see the elephants?“ Ion didn’t even wait for Akori to answer she started to shake out the pillows she slept on and put them about where she had gotten them from. “Clean, incense, no fish but food.” Ion was going over the list. Her bed head fur still a mess.
