While the situation appeared to look bad for the 'unidentified' figure at first, Riyo immediately summoned two creatures of her own, flinging the liquid beasts at the well-formed creatures who proceeded to rip each other apart like feral animals. Quite a disturbing sight. But Riyo wasn't about to just stand there and watch.

Meanwhile, Jess seemed bound and determined to mock his intruder, even going so far as to add vocals.

"Oh little miss, can't you see you can't win this?"

He continued to repeat in different keys, causing the black surrounding Riyo to grow. He really was a cocky b*****d.

Immediately, Riyo charged.... And the second she got too close, Jess took a nimble step to the side, his fingers never leaving his instrument. Instead of hitting him, she ended up knocking one of the little ******** climbing to the stage a good distance away into the audience.

This wasn't normal Riyo mad. This was like a bull in a china shop, and there wasn't anything to stop her. Pushing a couple more little shits back off because they were getting in her way, she charged again.

This time, Jess decided to toss a little salt in the wounds, tugging the instrument tight, he used the connector cord of the amp to trip her up, though almost immediately she pushed herself right back up. Could she get angrier? she could.

"C'mon honey, What's your story? I see you pissed but you don't see me worry." The vocalist continued to toss out spur-of-the-moment one liners, fueling the rage. This guy wasn't even using magic. He was just playing the part of a matador. Obviously he'd had some experience with situations like this.

Eventually the security guards started to storm the stage in an attempt to prevent the situation playing out from happening again. No doubt there would be a dock in their pay for this one. "Get the ******** off the stage before we haul you out!" The biggest one shouted, grabbing kids and tossing them back into the angry sea.

Holding onto Mitsu to make sure he wouldn't lose her, Shun made it towards the side where the view was a little more clear. The side railing was also right by them, so they could step on that to gain a little boost as well.

"What the hell?" frowned Shun as he saw the crowd go insane here. The shadow-girl up on the stage definitely seemed pissed at the singer.

---

Seeing Klyde bolt off, Blade cursed to himself and raced off after him. The guy certainly didn't help with the situation in general as other people began to hop the fence as well. What he spotted, was the guards were trying to get in the way of everyone.

"RIYO! Get a hold of yourself!" he tried to shout out at her, though whether or not she could hear him was another thing.

While the guards were busy dealing with the randoms, he tried to see if he could somehow sneak on past them.

As the crowd started to pour over the barrier Mitsu found herself being shuffled in a different direction than the one Shun had been going. "Eh..S..Shun!" She tried to shout over the noise but her voice didn't seem to carry over the guitar, one liner lyrics, and the screaming of the masses.

She did her best to hang on but eventually she found herself flowing with the crowd like she was lost in the river, her grip eventually slipping. Once her hand let go she was swept up with the raging fans heading over the barrier to avoid being crushed against it.

Now she really was in a panic. She was in a sea of people, all strangers, and noise. Her heart began to pound against her chest her eyes wide and frantically looking for the assassin who brought her. "Shun!"

----

This hadn't exactly worked out as planned but perhaps with this many people it would aid in being a distraction. Once he had hopped the barrier Klyde was quick to rush for the stage, gripping the edge and pulling himself up. He had just gotten a knee up when a body guard of sorts picked him up with surprising ease and threw him back into the crowd.

Landing on a few people to soften the blow Klyde started cursing as he shoved his way back toward the stage yet again, this time having a harder time due to all the people. Fighting, clawing, pushing, shoving, he felt like a pinball in a tightly packed pinball machine but he was determined to get to Riyo.

Shoving a few people out of the way, Klyde used the remainder in his path as stepping stones, climbing his way up and stepping up onto the stage fairly easily that way. There was a guard quick in his path but this time Klyde was ready and used his strength to instead push the guard into the crowd who was quickly swept away in the tide.

Finally turning back to Riyo, Klyde made sure his hood was still in place before he headed toward her. She was madder than hell so approaching was going to be tricky....at least if he didn't want shredded to pieces. Couldn't she have waited to attack after the show? In a dark alley or something with a bit more of a private setting. At least that way Klyde would have still gotten to see the concert and she could have gone psycho on this guys a**. It was a win win that way.

"Hey, calm down..." Klyde tried to call out over the noise.

A faint echo of a certain name made the vocalist stop in his tracks, the guitar becoming silent as he tried to process what he heard.

Riyo? Glancing back to where it had emanated, he looked to Blade with sincere confusion then back to the unidentified figure in front of him who was about to strike again.

Instead of dodging again, he grabbed the engulfed arm that was about to hit him and pulled her closer, a determined look in his eyes as he immediately flipped the guitar behind him and yanked off the hood...

The sudden forceful contact caused Riyo to falter, her disguise blown as the hood was discarded behind her head. The black started to melt away, extreme anger giving way to the sadness buried underneath. Those red spheres stared up at an identical older pair, looking rather pitiful after what had gone down.

Jess looked like somebody had just hit him with a truck of shock, first looking to the face, then the long blonde hair he remembered from so long ago. "Oh my dear sweet loving baby Jesus." He said loud enough for the mic to pick up, causing a couple of people to grow silent in confusion.

"Yeah. It's me." Riyo spat, the upset tone filling her voice with the tears to come. She had opened her mouth to possibly call him every bad name under the sun, but before she could, the life was squeezed out of her by a hug that removed her feet from the ground and... Quite literally took her breath away.

"I've missed you so much my sweet little angel cupcake princess!" Jess exclaimed, his face full of a warm fuzziness that... Nobody had really been prepared for. "I've been waiting to see you for so long! Just look at how much you've grown~ I almost didn't recognize you without your two front teeth missing."

Riyo's face was facing the audience, and while embarrassment was obvious, it was also quite obvious she couldn't breathe. Looking to Klyde desperately, she mouthed a 'Help' as clearly as she could.

Meanwhile, the other band members looked at eachother with utter confusion. Trotting up to the mic, the other guitar player glanced around the equally confused audience before clearing his voice. "Um... We're experiencing some... Technical difficulties. Bare with us." Then signaled for the special effects guy to cut the lights.

Shun felt Mitsu slipping away from his grip. Turning to see what was up, he saw the crowd pushing her away.

"Dammit!" he cursed lowly before starting to forcefully punch and shove people out of the way so he could reach the girl again. Why was it that whenever he tried to do something for her, everything just went wrong? It was incredibly frustrating.

"I'm coming Mitsu!" he called to her while fighting his way through the crowd. He could see her not far, but people were pretty adamant about getting to the stage. Reaching out for her, he tried to grab a hold of her arm or wrist.

----

It seemed that his words were heard by more than just Riyo, seeing how the vocalist practically had a double take there. The next thing he knew, the guy had completely managed to unmask her. Blade's eyes widened as he saw Jess sweep her up in what looked like a bearhug.

Finally able to get onto the stage, he made his way to the two with Klyde.

"Hey, let go! You're suffocating her!" he called out to the vocalist. It was a little confusing for the thief to say the least. The ties they had was more obvious now, but Riyo's emotions towards the guy seemed to be on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Finally catching sight of Shun, Mitsu tried to reach out for him through the crowd. Just when she thought it was hopeless the crowd suddenly came to a pause, the people around her looking rather confused and taken back. In their dazed states Mitsu wasted no time getting to Shun's side clinging to his shirt for dear life. Wide red eyes finally turned to the stage that was now in clear view to see someone she hadn't expected to see.

"Riyo?" With a look of confusion she turned to look at Shun to see if he knew what was going on.

----

As Klyde watched the scene play out he was a little dumbfounded. The hug took him completely by surprise and the name calling....'Sweet little angel cupcake princess?' To say that deflated his image of the band was an understatement.

When Riyo cast him that pleading look reluctantly Klyde stepped forward reaching for the vocalist's arms to pry them away from the girl. His face didn't look any less confused as he went to comply with Riyo's silent request, this situation had just gone from strange to awkward in a matter of seconds.

As the lights were cut, an echoing "aww..." drifted through the room. Apparently people had wanted to see what was going to happen next... Even if it was weird seeing their fearless leader calling some chick 'sweet little angel cupcake princess'. Seriously, did he just say whatever the ******** came to his mind?

"Oh, hm?" Jess looked over to Blade with a clueless smile, then down at at the girl who was obviously struggling to breathe. "Oh... OH!" Before Klyde had a chance to touch him, he released the smaller feline who gasped for air before slapping the vocalist across the face.

"Don't you touch me again, you son of a b***h." Riyo hissed.

Jess was visibly shocked when Riyo's hand ran across his face, leaving a nice red mark. Noticing his bandmates signals to turn off his mic, he flipped the switch before continuing.

"Hey now, uh... Young lady. That's no way to talk to your father." He tried to scold... but couldn't hold his mildly displeased face. "Ah who the ******** am I kidding? I can't stay mad at my precious little-"

"Don't." Riyo interrupted. "Just. Don't. You ******** left me behind for this. You left me with that woman and think I'm just going to say 'Daddy, I missed you!' and accept it with open arms? Hell no!" Her voice was getting louder, but less confident.

"She told me you left because you couldn't stand to be around me. At first I thought it was just another lie... Figured bad things had happened to you and you were down on your luck... But this... It's hard to believe differently now..." The mixture of hurt and anger was unmistakable... And it was obvious she couldn't decide on whether to hit him or cry.

Jess's face softened at his daughter's words. They cut through him like a knife. He'd often thought about what his wife had told her... And realized it would probably go something like that. "Riyo... I..." What. What could he say to that? "Please let me explain.."

Riyo had started to back away, looking to her two friends as if they'd offer her some sort of escape for the hole she'd dug herself. What had she expected to do by rushing up on stage and trying to kill him? Certainly not this. "No. Let ME explain. I don't want a relationship with you. What I really want is to tell you is how much of a shitty father you are for leaving me in that woman's care. I held out hope for the first three years that you'd come back for me. You didn't. That door is closed now. So why don't you go continue your perfect life while I keep trying to pick up the pieces of mine?" Turning away from the situation, Riyo held back her tears as she started to walk away, intent on closing this chapter of her life for the sake of continuing to try and reach the normalcy she'd wanted for so long.

Jess looked like he was going to lift his hand in an attempt to stop her... But the devastation of her words had begun to sink in. Glancing to the side, he shoved his hands in his pockets, looking like a complete wreck. "********.." He mumbled, an uncanny tone of defeat in his voice.

"What?"

As soon as Shun had a hold of Mitsu again, he wrapped his arms around her to try and make sure she won't slip away again. When she said Riyo's name however, he was a little confused and looked around. He didn't see the feline initially, but then he saw her up on the stage for a split second before the lights cut.

"What the hell?" he murmured. He didn't have any more of an idea of what was going on here than Mitsu did.

----

Coming to a stop a few feet away, Blade blinked as the lights cut out on the stage. Though it was darker, he could still make out the outlines of the people around him. Between their body language and what he heard, he had a fairly clear idea of what was going on... for the most part at least. So it seemed that this guy was her Father.

The thief couldn't help but frown at this. Did this guy really leave Riyo with that insane woman to become a rock star? Grimacing, he shook his head slowly. She really wasn't any luckier than himself when it came to their family lives, despite the fact that both parents were alive in her case.

"We better get going before the security guards get to us," he mumbled.

As the lights cut out Mitsu's eyes began to glow faintly against the darkness so that she could see. Her visibility of the stage was still fairly clear but it didn't help her determine what was going on. "I...I don't understand. Who is that guy?....Is that Blade?" What was going on exactly?

Feeling the crowd shift and move around them Mitsu turned her attention to their immediate problem. Depending on how things turned out there might very well be a riot. The people around them were already in an uproar about the lights and the lack of a show. She could hear them chanting, calling, screaming for something to happen. The earplugs barely helped to soften the blow to her ears.

----

It seemed Jess had let go before Klyde had a chance to pry his arms free. He stayed close encase Riyo still needed help, but even as the lights went dim around them, he could tell the curtain had not closed on this situation. The state of the crowd was enough to prove that.

As Riyo stepped back toward him, Klyde reached out to wrap an arm around her shoulder to lead her away. It would be best to get off the stage before something crazy happened. "Come on, let's get out of here." He said softly leading Riyo in the direction Blade was standing so they could leave before the security guards decided to speed along their progress.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 06, 2011 7:01 pm

Riyo didn't seem too eager to be touched, but there was no attempt to push Klyde away. Much like her father, Riyo shoved her hands in her pockets and kept walking on with her head hung low. She could've blackmailed that man into giving her anything, she imagined...

But that really wouldn't have helped anything. In her mind she'd know he was still nothing but a shitty father, and he'd probably think he was the best for giving her anything she wanted. Kinda reminded her of Nami...

As he watched the group of teenagers walk off, Jess looked back to his bandmates and quickly let them in on the situation. While he may have looked defeated, he was far from it and completely ready to do any stupid act that would get him what he wanted: a second chance.

Just before the group left the large room, the lights came back on and apparently the show was about to continue... Though Riyo didn't glance back.

When they were finally outside and away from the crowd, red tears filled Riyo's eyes. "That's real ******** up, y'know?" Her voice was shaky from the experience, now knowing that her mother had been right the whole time. What else had she been right about? "He just... Left one day... No explanation or anything. And now he's some hot shot in a band. What a load of s**t..."

That did look like Blade up there... and Klyde too for that matter. Whatever. Their issues were of little concern to him for the most part. Seeing how antsy the crowd was getting, Shun felt it was best to get the hell out of there.

"...Let's just go see a movie. This concert is a complete mess," he mumbled while attempting to guide the girl towards the exit. Eventually, he'd get answers for what happened, but Mitsu's safety was his priority here. And as far as he could tell, this place wasn't all that safe for her anymore.

---

Once they were away from the stage, Blade turned his attention back to Riyo.

"Just... forget about him. He doesn't deserve to even be thought of," he said quietly to her while trying to reach out to pat her lightly on the shoulder. He couldn't say he knew how she felt at this moment, but he could only imagine that it was horrible just from trying to picture himself in her place.

The thief glanced at Klyde briefly, then looked back at the girl who was obviously upset over all of this.

"Let's just get the hell away from here."
PostPosted: Sun Feb 06, 2011 7:32 pm

Mitsu looked up at Shun shortly before they started moving to leave. They didn't make it far before the lights came back on. "Are you sure you want to leave?" Mitsu asked looking back at the stage. Riyo was gone now...she wondered what had happened, but it looked like the show was about to continue. It had been a little scary up front but Shun had wanted to bring her, would it really be okay to leave now?

----

Klyde wasn't completely oblivious to Riyo's body language but he didn't pull away. If anything he held her a little closer once they were outside and the tears started to fall. The smell of blood instantly hit his nose and he stopped breathing thankful that he had at least eaten before he had started this adventure. It was amazing how adjusted to the smell of fresh blood he was now as compared to the beginning of the year.

"Like Blade said don't think about him. You'll probably never see him again." Klyde said softly hearing the concert start up again faintly behind them. Didn't seem like the whole ordeal was going to slow Jess down too much. "Do you want to go anywhere?" Klyde was trying to keep his sentences short not wanting to draw in a whole lot of air if he could avoid it.

"Wouldn't count on it." Came an all-too-familiar voice behind the group. Yep. It was Jess. He'd tossed on an expensive looking jacket and had apparently been following them since they left.

Riyo immediately whirred around to look at him, a look of disbelief in her eyes. "but-"

"I've got a double who fills in for me sometimes." He'd figured she'd noticed that the show had continued. "C'mon Riyo. Just give me a few minutes of your time." Jess practically begged, throwing on the puppy dog face for an added effect.

"Yeah. A minute of my time. That's all you want, huh?" Riyo folded her arms with tears streaming down her cheeks, though she still tried to act tough.

"Yes- I mean no! P-please... I know you probably can't stand me... Right now I can't stand me at the thought of what might've happened to you... But... I'd give the world for a chance to make it up to you."

Well this certainly sounded familiar. Riyo tapped her foot as she stared at the pitiful man before her. "I don't believe you."

Just to lay on the pitiful even more, Riyo's father got on his knees and clasped his hands together. "C'mon. Remember the time when you were four and I accidentally dropped ice cream on your head?"

Riyo gave him a 'what the hell are you talking about?' look, which meant she obviously didn't.

"I kept apologizing to you and trying to clean you up until you eventually said 'Silly daddy. I'd forgive you for anything.' Don't you remember that?"

Riyo stared at him for a long time. In reality, yeah... She kinda did. But... "No."

Getting frustrated, Jess's eyes narrowed. "I haven't forgotten anything about you."

"Psch."

"You used to wear pink all the time. Your stuffed animal's name was Kittykins. You hate butterscotch because it's too sweet. You're the only person I know who actually enjoys eating dark chocolate. You had a recurring nightmare about a talking bottle cap that made you wet the bed. Not only that, but you're afraid of spiders to the point that it's ridiculous. And you-"

"OKAY." It was all stuff she'd never told anybody, not even Klyde.

It was, however... Something...

That he remembered all that... "What do you want me to say? 'here's a second chance to be my father again?"

Standing back up, Jess shrugged. "Well, yeah... Something like that would work..."

Glancing to Klyde, then Blade, Riyo's eyes asked for some advice on the situation. What the hell should she do?
PostPosted: Sun Feb 06, 2011 9:08 pm

With the show starting up, it seemed that the crowd's rage was easing down. Shun stared towards the stage for a moment or so, but he wasn't sure what he should do exactly.

"Well... do you feel comfortable staying around? I won't mind if we do something else," he said softly.

---

Quite frankly, Blade was surprised to see the vocalist popping back up behind them. Frowning at Jess, he looked between him and Riyo as they exchanged a few words. As the older man rambled on fact after fact on the girl, his jaw dropped a bit. That was... quite a bit of new info. But something still didn't add up in the thief's mind. When the girl looked at him and Klyde for some advice, he let out a sigh and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Maybe an straight out explanation of why you deserted her when you apparently knew how her mother is would be a start," he said to Jess before glancing to Riyo. Depending on the answer, it may help her decide if she really wanted to give this guy a second chance.

"That is... if you want to hear it in the first place Riyo," he added.

If it had been him, he would have wanted to know why.

"You took the time to bring me...I...would hate to just leave." But the music was kind of loud compared to the radio, the area was stiflingly hot with all the body heat, and the fear that the crowd would get stirred up again was an ever present worry.

"I'll follow where ever you want to go," Mitsu said over the noise holding onto Shun's hand firmly.

----

Klyde seemed just as surprised when he heard the vocalist speak up behind them. Turning around as Riyo did Klyde was a little confused about the music in the background until Jess finally explained. He listened to the exchange between the man and Riyo silently, even more surprised to see the man drop down on his knees. The information he gave was....a little enlightening but as far as a second chance. Klyde wasn't exactly qualified to say yes or no on that one considering. So when Riyo looked to him in a questioning manner, he shrugged lightly.

"It's your call. An explanation would probably be good but I'm not exactly....qualified to say yes or no on second chances." He had worked to earn his second chance but Klyde had no idea how Riyo would handle this. He was just a boyfriend, this was her father.
