Deimos eyes turned to Rex. He did want to know what he could do. Could he maybe make rocks, liek he could make fire. Curiousity filled hima s he awaited Rex's answer.

One thing about private lessons with Leyrandia was that the boy had plenty of practices to write speedily, so he may be left with more time to spend on his favourite sport than studying under a scrutinising bird. Thanks to this, by the time Bax moved onto the next alignment, Rex had finished with his notes.
Looking up, the boy fiddles with his pencil, and nodded at the catfolk's first question. "Yes, I had practice on repelling attacks, like ones from incoming rock, water, and... er...." The boy frowned, trying to recall what else he did. Nothing, and the boy shrugged. "Can't remember anything else."
As for the second, well... "I feel... I dunno." What had he felt? There were no special feelings which came from the pratcices he did so far, or was there? "Secure?" The boy scratched at his temple.

Baxterfullous smiled. "I'd expect as much with this alignment... Strong is sometimes another feeling casters feel, since this alignment has such a strong relation with protection. " He explained at the word morphed into a rock. "Earth allows caster the ability of manipulate solid mass, such as dirt.. granite, rock... More often that not, it's easier to use the 'common ground' like dirt and stone, while casting. Also, many people forget that the earth element doesn't just cover stone and dirt, but plants. Because of this.. it's easy for Earth Elementals to absorb and release energy.. and even give energy to others. That makes Earth almost an ideal alignment to heal." As he spoke relating pictures formed, such as a glob of mud and then a bandaid at the very end.
"Other skills you can use these abilities for is use the energy that has been absorbed into increasing you're own physical strength, sculpting rock, and creating earthqaukes..."
Aphrodite took a moment, writing down her notes, taking a momnet to rub her eyes. After she was doen, she drew a flower taking in sunlight next to the coment about absorbing energy. "that makes you like a flower, huh?" She commnet quietly, looking up at the tallest mishap.

Rex stared up at Bax in awe - not at him, but what the catfolk had said earlier. Looking down at the palm of his hands, Rex muttered a soft "Cool" under his breath and returned his attention towards the man in charge of the class.
"I can do all that?" Cool. He had never even thought of creating things with rocks and the likes.
"Heheh. Maybe, Di. I'll be the largest flower in the world."
King huffed, then let out a very big yawn. Ugh, what a boring lesson. The tyrannosaur peered 'round the back of the class, and pondered on just sleeping.

"Alright, alright, alright! Quit followin' me - I'm going!"
Opening the door and looking rather irate, a slightly overdressed-for-the-occassion Lenore entered the classroom, followed closely by Crow.
"You didn't have to follow me the whole way," she said to her guardian.
Crow gave her a wry look and raised her eyebrows.
"Seeing as you were trying to sneak out the window after I told you about school, I figured supervising you at least to the class would be a good idea."
Realizing they'd both just interrupted the class, Crow bowed her head respectfully towards the teacher, hands clasped together in apology.
"I'm sorry Lenore is late - we had to run out and get her supplies, and then find the classroom, and-" she cut her apology off as she got a good look at the teacher.
"Do...I know you from somewhere?"
Lenore looked around the class warily, and brightened at the sight of her friends - and especially at the sight of King.
"Hey!"
Scooting over to an empty desk, Lenore took her seat and leaned over to wave at King.
"Hiii...."

Reid flew into the room a few seconds after Lenore and Crow, incredibly thankful for the still open door. The dress pants, shirt and satchel he'd been forced into earlier sported patches of dust, like he'd possibly fallen into a pile of dust on the way.
Looking up to Bax he flushed slightly, realising just how late he was. Oh well, it'd been worth it, "sorry I'm so late."
Sighting Ike and an empty seat he brightened waved and quickly took his seat.

" Of course you can do all that.. as long as you put your heart.. and mind to it." The tall catfolk smiled as he erased the blackboard, replacing the drawing now with the word 'Air'. turning at the sudden entrance, he gaped for a momnet at the sight of Lenore's gaurdian, Crow. His half lidded gaze shook for a momnet as soon as his mind registered the fact he was staring. "No! No.. it's quite alright, this is the first day..." He laughed wearily, his voice it was the same as he was a cat.
"Hello again, Miss Crow." He bowed a bit, his black cat ears twitched a bit. "I'm afraid you wouldn't recognized me.. since last you saw me I was about a foot tall." His tail swished behind him. Blushing, he moved to his desk pulling out another syllabus.
Aphrodite grinned, waving at Lenore. "You can copy from my notes, we're talking about the alignments." She explained as she stood up pointing at the open notebook.
Aphrodite blinked. "REED!" She squeeled and then clasped her hands over her mouth. "Hi."
The squeal snapped him out of his Crow-induced trance. "Umm.. Oh Another student." He smiled. "I'm gladd I have more four students now." He laughed a bit, as he handed one syllabus to Crow. "These are all the things we'll be going over with, and on the second page this is the supply list, and at the bottom there is the parental consent form that I need you to sign." He explained, trying to keep himself from acting like a fool.. which was failing...
Shaking his head he took a momnet to walk over to Reid's desk to place the syllabus on his desk. "If you like you can copt notes from Aphrodite or Rexier, or you cn start with what we have now and catch up durin the break." He smiled at the small firefly mishap, nodding to him. Moving back to Crow he grinned a bit to her, unsure of what to say next.

Deimos smile widened even more as Lenore and Reid enetered the room. "Lo Reid, Lo Len." He said, beaming at them both.. He would have liked to have the dagger Len had given him at hand, but mother had kept it, saying he couldn't take it to school. His notebook was bare, but he was listening and his head turned slightly back to the board as his second, weaker alignment was called.

Rex brightened up at the sight of more people - and they were all those he knew, though admittedly not too well. The boy waved towards the two newcomers, a cheerful grin on his face. "Hi Lenore, Reid."
King was half-way into slumberland, when Lenore came into view. Snapping awake almost instantaneously, the tyrannosaur took a sharp intake of breath, before leaning in closer to her as she waved(and spoke) to him.
"Hrrrr....!" King somewhat purred, and tried to nuzzle the girls hand, his tail waving as fast as it would go.
Rex, on the other hand, gasped as he felt himself being pulled backwards. "Careful, careful, King."
Turning back his attention to Bax, the boy nodded, scribbled down a little note, and turned on full attention to the lecture on the next element. His eyes glazed over a little, though, as the boy's thoughts wandered back towards the short but wonderful time at the base of the mountain some time back.

Reid laughed warmly at Aphrodite's squeal of a greeting and waving to Dite, Dei and Rex in greeting.
As Bax set the syllabus he nodded and pulled off his satchel, glancing over the heavily worded page as he pulled out a notebook and a pencil with his free hands.

"Umm.. well yes, I guess I must continue." He kept his smile, her presence seemed to make him happier. "You are welcome to sit in if you like, either take a seat or you can take my chair." He nodded a bit as he proceeded to the front of the class. "It's it to my knowledge that 3 of my students have this as one of their alignments... Aphrodite, Deimos, and Ms. Lenore." He gestured to the three of them. "Now.. As I have asked everyone about their element this time is no diffent. Aphodite you first... How does being aligned with Air make you feel? What can you do?"
The wasp mishap blinked, sitting in between Deimos and Rex, she took a moment to think. "...Free... I guess, like I can fly so far and I all got is the wind in my face." She smiled a bit, blushing at the expression of her feelings.
"What can I do? .. Hmm I only really practice making myself faster when I fly."
"Alright, good answer.. Now Deimos.. I understand that this alignment is your weaker, but can you tell me how you feel and what you've accomplished?" He turned to look at Deimos, he wanted to ask Lenore, but he decided to let her take this time and catch up with her notes.

"I feel fast when I fly." He said, simply, there wasn't mcuh else to it. "I've been able to fly a bit, and I can sometimes shift the wind to help my sailing." He said, rather proudly of his accomplishments. It was his weaker element, so he expected this would be about the extend of what he could do, just slight air manipulation.

Rex picked up his pencil and twirled it around his fingers. The boy listened to Aphrodite and Deimos semi-attentively, smiling a little as the aerial view of the HQ grounds flashed once more before him. Mmmm...

Crow was seriously taken aback. Baxterfullous? As in the serious little cat-guy she'd talked to about....huh. Wow.
He was cute.
"I...I got your note," she said, quietly enough so that (hopefully) only he heard. Smiling with pleasure at the invitation, Crow shook her head a little ruefully.
"I wish I could stay, but I have work... besides, Len'd probably be mortified if I stayed. I'll.... see you later, then."
Backing out of the room, a goofy smile lighting her face, Crow waved goodbye and left.
"Hey, guys," Len said, smiling slightly and edging her desk closer to the others. If they had to suffer through school too, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
She gave a snort of surpressed laughter as Crow left and bowed her head over her journal as she copied Aphrodite's notes. As she scribbled, she peeked over at King and gave a girlish giggle that sounded unnatural coming from her - the fact she was the focus of his attentions made her feel rather special.
Waving at him discreetly, she then looked over at Baxterfullous.
"I dunno how I feel about it, really. I use it to help keep me up when I fly, and I try to move things without touching them, just by pushing air around." She shrugged and paused to scribble down a few more notes, looking thoughtful.
"I know it's part of who I am an' stuff, but...it just doesn't interest me as much as my other alignment does."

Smiling at Crow, he nodded, and watching her leave. He waved a small goodbye in response, his ear was turned to the class, taking in their opinions and thoughts of their alignments. Turning his face to th mishaps, he nodded a bit taking in a replaying thier responses. "Now, before we continue, I want you to know why I'm asking you these things... about how you feel and what you can do with your alignment... Magic, do write this down, is triggered by want. Want is triggered by emotions and need. This is the foundation of casting, if you are not confident in your abilities then you might as well not try to cast at all... Though! This is not truly everything, each of you has limits, so I will help you find them. Kowing your limits, what you are capable of, and how you feel... and what you want, will help you become better casters."
Aphrodite blinked, sighing, she stood turning three pages forward with some effort, and work down the phrase 'Foundation of Casting' at the top of the page, afterwards she wrote ' Limits + ( Emotions + Knowledge=Want ) = Magic', below that a small shortened version of what Baxterfullous has said. This she already knew from her lessons with him when she was younger, but it was better safe than sorry.
"Now we proceed with the alignment, Air." He gestered to the black board, the word transformed into a chalk drawing of a cloud. " Now Air allows casters to well manipulate gaseous substances, which means anything that can float in the air. Commonly wind gusts and currents can easily be summoned, skilled casters can even create shock waves to repell enemies around them. Other abilites included are hurrincanes, creating sound from wind, forming bubbles of air and cusions to make falling a little less painful... "
As Baxterfullous spoke, Aphrodite was quickly turning the pages back to where she had it before, Laying flat on her belly she scribbled down her notes as as quickly as she could.
