Couple of reasons actually, but the one that rises to the top would be making a good story. I want to see how his death would affect the alchemists, the homunculi, and the general populous. What kind of stories would that bring about? What kind of events would be spawned from it? It could further the divide between Gomuun and Duke. I don't know what it's gonna do, but it's gonna do somethin'. That, and I think I'm ready for a new character.


Anyway, Dre, I've been looking through the new things, and gotta say kudos on everything, dawg. This guild looks great. The only thing I have a little concern with is the way they rank up. I like it, like the idea, like making things universal, but the way the people level up seems to be a bit too easy. 200 words is a one page paper, and if that's all it takes to get at rank S, then practically everyone interacting in the guild will be there in a day.

Hmm, Dre kill Nexus? Sure, yeah that could work. That'd work out great. Should it be something of a misunderstanding? Maybe have Dre catch Nexus doing something with alchemy and he jump in and things progress that way, or do you have something else in mind for Dre currently? Like I notice that Dre's had problems with his spirit of the reaper thing. Maybe he goes into a warrior's madness state and Nexus just happens to get in the way? I don't know. How you wanna play this?

Now about them levels. Let's see. If we're going with total number of words, then it'd need to be something worthwhile. For the stat things, we could easily have that made as a bar graph in Create a graph. or something. Then tag it on everyone's profile. Here's a quick one I made for Nexus. As for the actual ranking up, going by the word things really favors the more literate people in the guild, and they'll soar through the ranks in no time flat. I'm starting to think we should just go by posts, but then the opposite will happen, and less literate people who like posting one line things will get favored. So to get the best of both worlds while making it equally challenging for everyone, I can only think of a words per post per experience kinda thing.

Like say for instance, someone typing up a 100 to 200 word post, that person would get like 20 experience to add on to their rank, and each rank would need a set number of experience to move to the next one. Like F-Rank needs 100 experience to go to E, E needs 150 more experience to go to D. D to C is 200 more, C to B is 300 more, B to A is 400 more, and finally have A to S being 800 more experience. When someone gets to being rank S, that would mean they'd have a total of 800+400+300+200+150+100 exp making a total of 1950 experience that they would have added to their stat points. That was a rough example that definitely needs some fine tuning before implemented, but I think you get the gist of it.

that did make some sense to me but we're sticking with 4 stat places, speed, strength, endurance, and intellegence.
Also I'm going by with the Air Gear Live your life guild system but just altered it a little bit.

I might have her swoop in and carry Dre off after he kills Nexus. I think it'd make sense.

Yeah, I was going to have Dre go rogue. Well Dre has been around Ryo.. Maybe Nexus finds Dre and assumes that he is betraying the army. Nexus runs and Dre and Ryo chase after him, they end up in a alley way. Dre and Nexus fight; the reaper spirit takes over and Dre ends up killing Nexus; then Ryo carries him off? ... I feel like I'm going to hate myself for this later, but I'll make Dre kill the girl too if it is needed. -________-

As for the profile I decided to keep them there for now, because more of the information can just be copied over into the new layout. Also that link will only work if your a member of that guild because it is registered as hidden and although we are using a system similar to theirs we don't want to confine ourselves to there perimeters.

But it seems like everyone feels that the leveling caps is a bit to low.

We'll figure something out for the level ups.

Did I even give the girl a name? Anyway, what I had in mind when I introduced her is giving Nexus a reason to not lose sight of his light or whatever. Sorta had him go through a little pessimistic phase, and I wanted to take him out of that. I figured with her in the picture, that would help. I mean, Nexus has turned his back on the army, he's been going through insane crazy trips for no reason. The only thing he's had goin' for him was fightin' homunculi, and with his run ins with Tokushi and Ryo, that's become lackluster for him. Yeah, it's comin' back to me.

Nexus was gonna hate the girl, and try and try an' drop her off in some kid shelter, but she was gonna be stubborn and stick with him. Then as he was forced to try and take care of her, he'd lighten up or somethin'.

Have Dre and Nexus met each other before? If they have, it wasn't for long or anything. I don't even think they know each other's name. They might. Maybe. So however Nexus and Dre meet, it's gonna break out into a fight. How about make it a fight Nexus doesn't want. Since he's babysitting, his first priority would be keep the girl safe or somethin', so he'd be on the run. Then Dre and Ryo would chase after him. After he gets cornered, he confronts the two. Dre attacks, the girl could get in the way, get killed by Dre's berserker fury, which would in tern take Nexus by surprise and put him in some state of shock, leaving him open for Dre killing him. Then I guess Ryo could jump in and try and remove Dre from the scene.

When the smoke clears, Nexus and the girl would be dead in the alley to be discovered the next day by someone walking by. That person would freak out, call the police, and pick up Nexus's kakugane, and that would be my next character.

No she doesn't. Just thought if Dre were going to kill her, that would be the way. Nothing happening on purpose, just a mishap. Dre's warrior's madness against Nexus, and the girl getting caught in the crossfire. Some random factor that nobody saw coming.
