Sin cringed a bit and sat up straighter as the professor slammed her book and then dropped it. Ugh she was like the human world, fast, loud, and scary, not that Sin would tell her that. She had to keep from grinning at Aksaja's obvious statement and then bit her lip and cleared her throat.

"It's off limits to anyone without a passport." Sin stated, she wasn't about to mention that she had been there recently...sans passport. That whole fiasco was something she wanted to put behind her. She lightly touched the pendant under her dress and then moved her hand back onto her pen.

Cyrilla had scooted in to sit by Merope. The boil being the only person she really knew in the class. Though she did recognize a number of them from minipet training. As she began to relay her adventures with Star and the Soul Eater (and Aymet's sheer unbridled laziness) her head wiped around, wide eyed, staring at the teacher as the book suddenly slammed down.

Well, that was certainly an attention grabber.

To be honest, there was nothing at all that Cyrilla knew about the human world. She'd heard rumours about them being terrible creatures, but it was mostly just stories to keep little boils and ghouls in line. Deciding to follow the smarter route, and not showcasing her complete ignorance on the subject, she simply kept tight lipped during this portion of the class, hoping that something she was even a bit more familiar with would crop up.

Gabrian arched a brow as he watched LW struggle to write her name on the board. Alas, he hesitated a moment too long, and before he could do anything to rectify the situation, Ren arrived and hoisted the she-wolf in the air, partially covering her lithe form with his wings, "Well, that's certainly a handy use of wings," he thought out loud, the observation meant to be mostly rhetorical, but loud enough for their quartet to hear. As the turned to head for their seat,s he smirked down at the she-wolf, "Oh, I'm more than happy to be here - I'm perfectly at home," a drop of water landed on his head and the nix took a moment to look up at the ceiling through hooded eyes, "Well. If water comes crashing down, I'll make sure none of you drown. In return, I expect a plate full of cookies, and perhaps some adoration too."

He was mostly joking. Mostly. But at least the offer was there; in a way it was his attempt to make his friends feel better in what was, no doubt, a disconcerting classroom. He doubted any of them knew how to swim very well, "Do any of you even know how to swim?" this was asked to the three monsters currently walking with him, and more out of curiosity than anything else.

His gaze landed on Ren as he spoke, and he offered the other boil a smirk, "I wouldn't call it 'waking you up', Ren," he drawled, "I think it was more along the lines of failing to do so. I'm sorry I couldn't get you on your feet, but I figured Alessa would do that herself if I couldn't manage with my try," he motioned at the Nagual with a tilt of his head, "She's much more punctual than you, that's for sure. Maybe you guys shouldn't stay up to the wee hours playing scario kart. Or if you do, maybe you should call me. But then, you probably didn't because you knew I'd have won if I'd have been there," he wasn't really talking seriously; he didn't excel at that particular game. He did a much better job as a scaraoke revolution and DDR.

He then made motion towards their seats and once he was seated, took a chance to glance around the room. Riley's speech-thought interrupted his own though, and he blinked for a moment before seeking her out across the room. He offered the demon(ess?) a smirk before deciding to try sending thoughts back at her; after all, it seemed much more practical than shouting across the room, <>. He also took the time to nod a salute in Sin's way when she acknowledged him.

Any further inspection of his classmates was cut short when their professor slammed her book shut and closed the door on some poor student's nose. Well, apparently, it was time to put their brains into action. He listened to a couple of his classmates speak up and then offered his own thoughts, "It is the place that essentially fuels the FEAR that creates our world, and we must go there to generate it," he wasn't sure on the details of how it worked, but he knew that if humans held no fear... well then, that would be very, very bad, "It is also a rather dangerous place for us," he drawled out, this from experience, and he couldn't help but shudder when he recalled the speeding, metal boxes.

WHAM!

Well, that was one way to start a class. Malodore nodded once to Riley, then focused on the teacher. It did approve of getting straight to business, if nothing else!

Of course, given that a good half of the class had unintentionally visited the Human World, everyone was quick to answer. "I believe the amount of FEAR one possesses affects how much that being can, in turn, affect the beings and matter of the Human World?" Malodore ventured.

Ziyah hadn't noticed her surroundings much as she had gone to sit - it was only when the plague doctor poked her that she realized that she had, in fact, sat right in front of Malodore.

"Hey-" She started, but then she was interrupted by the book slamming. That certainly managed to get the wisp's ever-fleeting attention, if nothing else !

The glowing girl, however, said nothing. In truth, she knew nothing about the human world - well, nothing beside the fact that it was where she had lived before she had died. But that wasn't really important, right ?

She took her supplies out of her bag as quietly as possible, and got ready to take note. She figured she might very well need them - if she didn't space out mid-lecture and forget to take them, that is..

Whisper had been sitting in her seat for sometime now, bouncing and lightly kicking her legs waiting for everyone to get settled. She was quite excited for the class to begin, and her excess energy was just oozing out. She would give little waves to who ever passed her by, though most did not notice as they were pre-occupied. She was ok with that though, it usually happened that way.

SLAM!

Whisper stopped moving the moment that noise sounded out. Her ears and tail went stiff as boards, and her eyes were locked on to the teacher. This was going to be an interesting class at the very least, especially with the wide range of students here.

For the most part Sammy had relaxed in the back watching as students filed into the class. It was going to be a decent sized one, they would have room for more if not for all the boats and ducks laying around the room. When Riley spoke she only offered a simple wave as she continued to admire the room; she was rather curious about the duck pile in the corner really.

She was about to greet Malodore and some of the others when the door suddenly slammed shut. Suddenly she was lest slacker and more attentive sitting upright and paying a lot more attention.

Leaning forward slightly she leaned onto her arms on the table thinking for a moment. "They live... in a very noisy place, moving metal boxes that speed along narrow marked paths. They look well, like myself with less rot, what most of us look like except less exciting." She paused trying to remember a few other details of the trip. "They like this person called Justin Beaver it seems too..."

Savage continued to stare at the chalkboard like an unmoving rock of a woman. The students answers were all very basic and none of the answers were really what the professor had been asking for.

"Well I suppose this is why I was asked to teach you about Human History." The statement had been pretty vague, the professor knew this. Whether she had intended to waste the students time or not was unknown because her face stayed intact and untelling. Specially with her facing the chalk board the way she was it would be very hard to tell what the red head was thinking.

Gabrian's little comment about it being a dangerous place got a small nod of acknowledgement and Sammy's more detailed description did perk the professors curiosity but nothing more then that. Other then that the professor had not been surprised by the other students answers.

"Dangerous. Pah, of course it is but that doesn't mean at some point you won't have to face those dangers. I'm here to make you more aware of these Humans and more aware of why they are the way they are. BUT we can't do that til we know where these creatures began now can we." Savage turned around to face the class, hand on her hip and snarky grin to boot. With her free hand she pulled a string which released a chart.

"YES THATS RIGHT CHILDREN! Humans were once nothing more then a blobby thinger majig. They then turned into a fish KINDA LIKE HOW MINI PETS CHANGE. At least thats whats believed." Savage takes a moment to look as if shes being thoughtful. God knows if she really is or not though.

"ANY WAY! They turned into monster fish after that and then into sea monkeys and lived happily with the rest of the sea creatures until LAND appeared. OH by the way, THE HUMAN WORLD ONCE WAS RULED BY WATER and still IS mostly water. Yes that will be on the test. Keep up children." Savage claps her hands dramatically.

"Getting to the good part now. The sea creatures needed a form of amusement so the sea monkeys made the great sacrifice to turn into land creatures. Thats right, they turned into HUMANS and with that many boats were made and me and my sea monster brothers and sisters happily have been sinking them ever since!" The professor was actually smiling as she gave her statement about how humans came to be.

"Going back to the evolve cycle so you don't get confused it is believed the periods of time between the different stages took quite a good bit of time to develop and this is why I am here to teach you. Sadly we aren't here to learn about the monster fish stages of life and what not so I'm fast forwarding this little adventure to when man first crawled out of the ocean. THAT , children, is where our story will begin in this class. " Savage taps her finger to her chin.

"Any questions thus far?"

The race of humans, as a whole... grew up like minipets? Well, that was a completely bizarre statement. Malodore dutifully wrote it down in its notes, along with the bit about the Human World being mostly water.

But why would they rather be squashy fleshy things than monster fish? That seemed very illogical, especially on a watery world. It raised its hand. "Did just one man crawl out of the ocean, or was it a lot of them all at once? If it was a lot of them, why did they all decide to go at the same time? Did they have a special caucus to discus the matter?"

Weird creatures, humans.

Junko blinked and stared as Professor Savage drew up a diagram of the basic origins of humans. They started as blobby things? That was...strange. She raised her hand meekly, hoping the question that came to her head wasn't a stupid one. Honestly? It was her first thought. "So um...do they still breathe water then? If they used to be fish?" There game an exasperated sigh from the back of her head and she frowned back toward Her, putting her hand back down on her lap.

Was it a stupid question? She couldn't exactly take it back but...it honestly just...came to her head!

Colette watched and listened, trying to keep up and take notes on what the professor was saying. She even attempted to draw the growth chart, though each stage came out looking odd - even the squishy blobby one.

Lots of information came in the little bit of time that had passed. It was all quite confusing, especially the monster bit. If they weren't going to go over it in a lesson, shouldn't she try to get as much information now? Probably. Or probably not. Raising her hand, Colette asked, "Uh. Well... if they used to be monster fish, does that mean they could have come to Halloween Town?" The Reaper believe it was a very sensible question.

Cyrilla's eyes darted between the board and Merope. The dracolich's brow furrowed deeply as she thought long and hard about what the professor was saying. It was only a few moments before she poked the boil to get his attention, and very seriously asked,

"Can you even really imagine your kind turning into a... a human?" Cyrilla wasn't terribly keen on that idea. Not to mention, there was the idea that if they could evolve from sea monsters into humans... couldn't they then possibly evolve into something else? She wasn't a fan of this idea, not one bit.

Besides, there was a lot of stuff to do in the water as well, why evolve to do stuff on land? Pah. Whatever. The ghoul frowned and listened on as the other students asked their questions.

Riley didn't want to disturb Gabrian during class, but it would be rude not to respond to his question. So, her response was simply After class, we shall plan. She then returned her enraptured attention to the professor's lesson.

Though she took no notes, Riley's eyes looked vaguely unfocused as she ingested all of the information and recorded it instantly. They sharpened suddenly as her mind began interpreting, and manipulating, what she had just learned.

Formerly ruled by water. Mostly water. Humans evolved from creatures of the water.

She'd been in this class all of five minutes, and already the wheels had begun turning.

Professor, she rose her hand and piped up. Would it be fair to say, then, that humans are dependant on water? To survive?

Sin blinked and listened to the Professor with an expression of mild disbelief. She tried not to laugh at the explanation, oh good jack was she actually serious? Humans were like minipets? That just didn't seem very likely, and why did all the humans look more or less the same then? Why weren't they different looking like minipets or monsters or even demons were? Evolve Cycle? This was all quite a bit to take in but everyone was asking fairly intelligent questions so Sin just sighed and took notes.

She wasn't going to call the teacher out, after all what did she know about humans? Just what her parents had told her about how easily aroused they were by her kind, about how delicious their pure fear was, and about how utterly pathetic they were as a species in general...so maybe they were seamonkey evolutions. She jotted down a few more notes and then glanced at Riley, she had a good point. If the citizens of Halloweentown depended on fear, then maybe humans depended on water.

Humans evolving just like minipets.... ? Well, humans were strange and very confusing creatures, so it made sense they'd do strange and confusing things. She jolted down notes as quickly as she could, mostly about the human world being mostly water.

She tapped her pen against the notebook, before raising her hand. "What made land apparair, if the human world was mostly water ?" Did some of it just... dissapair or something ?

Really, the more she learned about humans, the hardest it became to think she'd once been one. Perhaps the reaper had been mistaken ? She'd certainly didn't remember ever being a sea monster thing.

Not that she actually remembered anything before coming to Halloween Town, but details.
