((in the sense of not seeing good qualities in oneself, yes~ lol, totally, and he could take her to a jap restaurant and get her a rice ball!))
What's a... Karo fell over laughing. Literally, fell over laughing. He just gave this long, thoughtful explanation and she was asking about a rice ball. A rice ball! Why couldn't he have tried to put it in wild fox terms? A rice ball. Of all things to get from that speech, she got the rice ball. Karo would definitely remember this for later!
He'd also remember that smile, that small smile that adorned her face for just a second.
When he sobered up, he lifted up to a sitting position and explained. "Ok, ok, there is a plant that, when grown in the right fields with lots and lots of water, grows rice. It's like, a grain of sorts. Humans take this rice, which is sticky, and form these rounded triangle shapes with it and put tasty things in them for flavor. Like plums, or fish!" Nodding, mostly to himself, he trotted back to sit by her side and not behind her. "Maybe one day I can show you..." It was a simple musing, a thought spoken out loud, not a question or invitation, or anything for her to accept or turn down.

She wanted to be able to stare at him, instead settling with making a twisted, confused expression in his general direction. Show her? Who said she was going anywhere with this strange boy! Persistent boy that liked broken girls! His laughter had made her blush, even growl a little.
"Shut it, creep." She snapped, blushing darker before jerking her head to the side. "Not everyone comes from the city." She grumbled, pawing at the ground.
"Creep." She added, blushing darker. Ah, a nickname. Maybe she would let him show her. She frowned at that. Show her? How?! She couldn't see!

Karoko was totally confused. Her snapping about knocked him off his paws, but those cheeks of hers were telling a different emotion... The male had no clue how to react to this. Should he be apologetic? No, she didn't seem to like that, and didn't trust the words that went with it. He couldn't blame her, though...
Letting out a small chuckle, he brushed it off so as not to upset the wounded vixen any more. "I know, I know, and I should have tried to put my explanation into more... wilder terms." Karo cringed at the word 'wilder', hoping she didn't take that wrong. "I just found it amusing how, out of all that, of all the things I said, you focused on the rice ball. It's so simple... and had nothing to do with my point, but that is what you focused on..." His voice was low, calm, and a smile was across his face. "I'll have to bring one back next time I visit the city... you can, well, see what I mean just by the feel of it, the taste of it..." He figured he'd never be able to take her there, as much as he wanted to, so he'd offer to bring it to her. Karo had to smirk at himself. How did he go from tail-chaser to gentleman?

Bring one to her? So, she was someone he had to bring things to. No. Nope. She was not tiny and small anymore. She shook her head, eyes closing. "I can....go with you?" She whispered. "I know. I know. I'm blind, I know. But I can do this. I never went when I could see, he wouldn't let me." She whispered, turning her head to where she believed he was.
She didn't know what to do or say to prove to him that she could, so all she did was try to look at him and prove to him that she could. She could only hope he would bring her. Yes, she had been....cruel.... But, he wanted her around, right?

The male was floored. Really? She wanted to go with him? This was great! "Really? Are you sure? I'll keep you safe, I promise. And whoever 'he' is isn't around anymore, and you are a very strong vixen, Amy. You are free to do anything you set your mind to..." Karo's excited voice turned to awe as his words went on. She really was a strong vixen, he could tell that from the start.
The city... He knew it would scare the pudding out of her. Mentally Karo began running though the alleys and streets, figuring out the best places to take her and the quietest routes to get there... Quiet... "It will be loud, a lot louder than out here, you know that right?" The last thing he wanted was to take her into the city unprepared.

Amy was sure. She nodded, ears back slightly. She wanted to prove she was strong enough. Wanted to prove she could do this. And she could. She knew it. She nodded again, pawing at the ground. "Yes, I'm sure." She mewled back. "I can do it.... Just don't leave me alone....please?" She mewed, raising her paw to rub at her cheek slightly. She couldn't remember if she had accepted the bracelet he had made, and paused, beginning to touch her wrist.
Had she?

Karo smiled under her paw. This was wonderful. She was beginning to let him in... "I told you Amy, I won't even leave you. Not unless you tell me to, and mean it with all your heart." Still smiling, he picked up the rabbit fur still lying on the sand and pressed it to her paw.

Amy felt the fur press against her leg, not moving away, nodding so that he could latch it on. She turned her head away from him, either embarrassed or nervous, she was unsure. He was being kind, yet so was Tabby. Her ears went back at this, because she knew she was dwelling on the past. Slowly, she nodded, tail wrapping around herself tightly.
"When are we going to the city?" She questioned, her voice still and emotionless, hiding the turning feelings in her head. She smiled slightly, wondering what Lilith would say. She would probably beat Karoko up. Out of affection, of course.

"Soon." Karo slipped the bracelet on her wrist, trembling inside because Amy was actually accepting his gift. Wait... trembling? Karoko shook his head slightly. He was so odd around this vixen.
Once the leather laces were pulled and tied and he was sure she couldn't trip over them, the male sat back to admire it on her. "It looks very pretty on you." He nodded. "You are in a tribe, I remember that... don't tribes have elders? You should definitely contact you're first, so I don't get hunted for fox-napping." While he was actually worried about being accused of such, he still had to chuckle at the thought. Thought... the more he thought about taking this vixen to the city, the more scared he got. What if he lost her? What if she fell in an open manhole? What if some nasty street-fox gang attacked them? Sure, Karoko was a street-fox himself at one point, but he had been away for so long they might not remember him... or the gangs could have changed... He'd have to contact Reisa first, she still lived on the outskirts and knew the business.

She nodded, paw lowering once it was latched. Fine. She could speak to Kithara and ask permission to leave the tribe only for a week or so, given the days it would take to travel there. She was not worried about Kithara saying no. She wouldn't. And, they didn't have kits to raise at the moment, so...
"Come back in a week. I'll speak to Kithara and talk to Iah and Champagne about things I may need to bring with me." She said, head tilting to the side, already feeling the ground for the path that would take her home. Her sea-shell slipped from its location, however she scooped it up quickly. She'd have to ask about making it a necklace to Tenma soon.

Karoko nodded, more to himself really. "Same spot? Here on the beach?" He didn't like leaving her again, since it had been weeks and now it would be another week, but patience was something every artist possessed. Karo began thinking once again of the places he would show her... He wanted to show her his art, but how could she 'see' it? That, of course, was the least of his worries. "I'll go talk to Reisa, another sort-of city fox, and have her take me to Tweak. Tweak is a little... different, but he's tribed in the City and knows all the happenings."
Nodding to himself again, the male turned to leave. "See you in a week, Amy~"

Amy nodded at his question, listening to his movements. Tweak? Reisa? New foxes. Would they judge her, too? She wondered if they were friends of Karoko, and if they would question why she was blind. No, if they were his friends she doubted it.
"Until then."
~A week later~
Why was Amy back? She sat on the beach, her shell from previous meetings in her paws. Why? She had considered forgetting him, but here she was, waiting for the male patiently. She had wondered what his fur looked like. Wondered what color his eyes were. Wondered if she would even see him again. Wondered if he returned.
She hoped so.

A week. A week of planning, scouting, and gathering information about every fox on the streets. A vicious gang had moved in to the city, but they were camped under a stone bridge that was nowhere near the places he wanted to take Amy. An old crew he ran with back in the day agreed to step up their own scouting, just in case. Reisa was keeping a closer eye on the foxes coming and going. Tweak was waiting with Reisa, wanting to meet Amy for himself. He seemed excited, probably because the vixen wouldn't see his twitching and think him to be normal.
Karoko was going nuts. Absolutly bonkers. If anything happened to her in his care, he'd never forgive himself. Taking a deep breath, the black -and newly modded- male slipped down the beach. He couldn't wait to show Amy the new earring he got! Karo's only concern about it was he didn't want her to think it was cheesily just for her. She might not like that. He had been wanting the mod for a while, but metal spiders are hard to come by in the woods!

Amy was at the point of going back home when she realized he was taking forever. Her ears were flattened against her head, tail wrapped around her dark frame. She didn't even know why she was here anymore.Then she smelled a familiar scent, heard a faint metal sound. No, Karoko didn't make those kind of noises, unless he was modded? Absently she smiled, remembering that one day she too would be modded to be part of Yasashii.
His scent, it was defiantly him! Amy almost moved closer, almost called out his name, however was nervous beyond belief. He had returned, for her? Truly? She couldn't describe her joy. She couldn't even wrap her head around it! He came back for a blind, small, shy vixen such as herself.

Karoko had his eyes on the dark, feminine figure as he padded down the sands, but when she shifted he broke out into a run. Either she caught his scent, or he was late, either way he wanted to get to her quickly. She had actually been waiting for him! She was giving him a chance! She was really coming to the city with him! That last thought about made him trip. Never had he felt so nervous about showing a girl around his town. Well, his old town. City. Place.
"Well well well!" Karo panted as he got closer, slowing to a trot so as not to startle the webbed angel. "Didn't think I'd show?" He grinned, voice light and teasing. Oh, it was so good to see her!
