The possibility of being ambushed made him decide to stick to his serpent form now, his eyes narrowing as he arched up and squinted at the fog. Unfortunately, while his eyes were capable of seeing rather well through murky water, the fog was something entirely different and thus, impenetrable for his gaze, "Hhmmmmm..." the sound mirrored the humming he could still hear, "The humming comesss from the shed," he lifted his tail in the air, almost as if it were a hand, and pointed towards where he thought the shed was, just beyond the dense fog, "I can hear it quite well," he informed Livi, his fin ears arching and then lowering before he repeated the motion; it was almost as if were trying to confirm he wasn't insane, that the humming could indeed be heard, "Perhaps my serpent form grants me a better hearing than the humanoid form doesss..."

Gabrian blinked as LW yelped and then proceeded to land on her rear end, firmly clutching her tail in her arms. He then arched a scaly brow, the expression of slight confusion at her fear almost human upon his serpentine features, "My dear... did I frighten you?" he was trying to keep his voice even, but mirth was seeping through his words; it was quite obvious he was amused by her reaction to him. However, he chose not to tease her for it, instead moving towards her so he could bump his head against her shoulder. The motion was almost cat-like in nature, perhaps something he'd picked up from his minipets, "Are you quite alright? I didn't mean to scare you. It was not my intention in the least, I can assure you," that done, he pulled away and then nudged her again, almost as if trying to assist her to her feet before turning towards the Envy demon once more.

"So," he drawled as his tongue slipped out and back in, "I gather we have no idea what we're doing here. All we know is that this fog is strange and that something seems 'off', am I correct?" a pause, "I'm glad you managed to retrieve your Luka, Livi. I'd hate to lose one of my pets in this fog."

West had heard through the grapevine that there had been a whole slew of detentions given out the other day as a result of something that happened down around the Weeping Forest. Part of him was glad he hadn't been involved. Ever since he had arrived at Amityville, he had been trying really hard not to get into trouble. Really hard. It was painful. All of the other parts of him, however, were completely and totally jealous. This jealousy was perhaps why he found himself casually strolling down to Breck's shed when he really should have been doing anything else.

When he saw all the mist he was glad he had shown up. Something was definitely going down.

Not bothering to be particularly quiet anymore, considering how many students were already milling about, West grabbed at the nearest one and asked, "Wha'the'ell's goin'on 'ere?"

Tybalt was unaware of the broken doll sneaking up behind him. Unaware of her intentions to startle him and more than likely to make him look like a fool. So it was absolutely no surprise that the black dog jumped several feet in the air with a yelp when she tapped his shoulder and shouted 'BOO' into his ear.

"JACK DAMN IT, MEI!" He snapped, only to jump again when another ghoul did the exact same thing, the moment he set foot on the ground. "EEEEEEE! WHAT'S WITH YOU GUYS!?" Was it their intention to startle him to death!? Or was it just a ghoul thing? "Quit doing THAT!" He managed to growl at the two. Mei and Astra may be having fun, but he certainly was not! Far from it! In fact he was more annoyed than anything now and was about to say something really nasty to them both when he thought he saw another familiar face in the steadily growing crowd of students. Was that Ren? Maybe... It was kind of hard to tell in this mist. Well whoever it was, they seemed to know the other boil ( Vaith ) who was comparing his feet to the foot prints.

"Why are the so many stu---huh?" He was about to question the reason for so many students showing up, when he caught sight of something sparkling on the edge of the forest. Though 'what' it was, was beyond him. "Did you guys see that?" He asked the two ghouls, while pointing in the direction of where he saw the---thing?

"Come on! I want to check it out!" He called running up ahead; their prank temporarily forgotten in his new found curiousity. It probably wasn't very smart to check it out. After all, it was forbidden to even go near the Weeping Forest, much less enter it. But hey! Rules were there to be broken!

Natalia bobbed her head in a nod and reached out to rub the side of Luka's face, smiling still. "Yeah, that was a great night...hopefully this one won't end in quite the same manner" His pleasant response was acknowledged with a wrinkle of her nose and an innocent wink, but a nervous laugh made it known that the ghoul was still very much afraid.

The others filed in quickly and once LW was within grabbing range, Natalia reached out and latched on to her arm; hoping she would not mind. Agreeing with the rest, jumping when her fellow were did as the serpent came slithering up, the werelemur breathed, "I heard something, not sure if it was a hum or what." Her eyes fluttered toward Gabe, who looked familiar, but the monster could not be all that sure of from where. Leaning in toward the center of their forming circle, Natalia spoke.

"Pardon me, I know this is probably an odd time to offer a formal introduction but I am Natalia. I figured, if we are going to be venturing off together for whatever reason, knowing one anothers name wouldn't hurt."

Unable to contain it any longer, Mei burst into laughter when Tybalt leapt and screamed like a little ghoul. "Hah hah hah! That was so worth it!" And if it wasn't amusing enough, another ghoul joined in the fun. "fffffff Jack damn Tybalt! Scared by two ghouls in under a minute!" Snickering to herself, she glanced over at Astra to get a better look. She was one ghoul she had never seen before, and she looked to be... A fairy? A butterfly? A fae? Well, whatever! She was okay in her books! All thanks to the little trick played on the black mutt!

Calming herself, she followed Tybalt's gaze to the boil, Ren. A friend of his perhaps? Didn't seem like it---not with the expression on his face. Though.. She was pretty sure she had seen him somewhere before.. Somewhere recent? It was a mystery to her---a mystery she shrugged off.

It seemed that they weren't the only students who noticed everything happening around (even if it was kind of hard to miss) as she eye'd the large gathering of ghouls and boils. One ghoul in particular stood out from the rest.. Junko.. She wasn't to pleased to see that plushy killer again. Huffing, she directed her attention at another student, West who grabbed at another kid; demanding answers. Everyone was on edge tonight, and a lot of students were spooked by the sounds emitting from the forest. "Hmmm~" She hummed, rocking on her heels while listening to the chatter of students. This was going to be an interesting night, that was for sure!

Snapping out of her daze, she raised a brow as Tybalt called to her and the other ghoul. "Tybalt, are you hallucinating again?" She asked, snickering to herself before following after the boil.

The ghoul at first wasn't out here to do this. She actually wanted to check out this shed she'd heard about the other day. Something about danger always made her draw towards things. But as she got close to the shed is when she heard the footsteps in the forest. Holly had good hearing, she was truly a canine after all.

There seemed to be a bunch of students around too. Again? Like the Truth or Dare night? This time she hoped to not leave with detention. The thought of that made her shudder. She was contemplating what to do when West grabbed her by the shoulder. Holly looked over her shoulder, a demon? Hadn't seen him around before. "Really? I have no idea. I was here to check out the shed but I heard ... something out there." She pointed towards the forest.

Before he could get a response from the plague doctor, Jericho heard a few other voices addressing them. One belonged to a girl he wasn't familiar with and the other was no other than Israfel. Lifting an arm, he waved lightly before looking back towards the shed and the forest behind it.

"Not sure about Mal here, but I was wondering what was up with all this mist. Seems like something is going down in the forest," He said to to the siren, "Is that what you're here for as well?"

It was somewhat of a safe bet to assume so, seeing how there seemed to be a fair amount of students wandering about the area. The dragon was eager to delve further into the mists to see what was about.

So many familiar voices. She had initially regretted walking into the fog to follow her hazmutt (who was now completely lost somewhere far beyond where she was willing to go) but now that she heard Jericho and Israfel talking just a short distance away, she felt immediately comfortable.

Fog, after all, is just fog. It had a soothing quality to it.

The fog hid her up until the very moment she was behind Israfel, when she put her hand on the siren's shoulder. At this point, she could see Israfel, Jericho, Carthusia, and Malodore - a hefty find, indeed.

How dare you all have a party in the fog and not invite me, she teased.

After poking around in the Shed a day or so ago (and getting driven away by the stupid biting seeds), Aksaja had been hanging around the area watching for a chance to try again. There had to be something interesting in there, after all! Tonight, however, he got to the area a bit later than usual.

Only to see some kind of weird fog and find a bunch of others standing around peering off into the woods. Some of them closer to the trees than others - but the first group the lightning dragon spotted just happened to be some of his 'companions' from Ickis car. Grinning a bit, he waggled fingers at them.

"Hey. What's goin' on in there?" he asked, motioning toward the forest.

"Hm." West peered into the fog, dropping his hand from Holly's shoulder as quickly as he had put it there. "Y'can hear somethin'?" He might have tried to hide the fact that he hadn't heard a thing to seem cooler and all-knowing, but he was too curious at the moment to lie and people usually saw through his attempts anyway. The demon squinted into the fog, too far away to see the footprints some of the other students had. He thought he recognized some of those shapes up ahead, but he sure as Jingleberry wasn't going to call out to them like some overeager child.

"C'mon," he said to the ghost ghoul, not really caring if she followed or not.

Heart still thumping and a hand clutching not only her tail but the hand of her fellow monster, LW breathed in and out slowly. The she-wolf shot a dirty look at Gabe when he asked if he had 'frightened' her. Duh! Her reaction to his sudden appearance was obvious. And that better not have been amusement she heard in his voice. Jackdamnit! There just had to be other people around too! With a low groan, LW closed her eyes for a minute and counted to ten. The light bump to her shoulder made her jump slightly, but not much. Violet eyes turned to regard the serpent. Sighing, she gave him a small smile. "Not your fault. I was already worked up before you appeared."

Using a combination of Natalia and Gabe, LW got back to her feet and reached down a little to gently scratch under the serpents chin. "I forgive you." She was quite glad to have him right there even as she latched on to the lemurs arm as well. Her tail moved enough to twine a little in Natalia's just to keep her from gripping that.

LW smiled towards Natalia, glad that she had someone to latch on to now. Though she wasn't past finding some way to grab the Nix either. Best to keep her hold on her monster friend. "Yeah...sounds about right." LW agreed shakily with Gabe. "Whatever it is...it is annoying." Well, mostly it was that humming that was annoying her. That and that she was still freaked out. Such a brave and scary werewolf she was not. "Do we...uh, go further into the forest? Or...closer to the shed?" The she-wolf addressed their group at large.

The ghoul looked at West again, yeah defiantly a demon. "Yep, might not look it but I've the hearing of a fox." Which gave her better hearing then other ghosts. Made sense right? Holly wasn't sure if he had heard a thing or not which didn't matter either way. It was really amazing how many other students were out that night near the forbidden areas these past nights.

Holly shrugged and followed him. "Sure, what's your name by the way? I'm Holly." If something was going to happen she'd rather know her accomplice's name.

As the first of the students traveled closer towards the "sparkling" tree, they could finally make out something stuck on the very top branch:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
It also seemed to be the source of the strange 'humming' sound.

The problem with getting too close to the tree however, was the fog. It was guaranteed that anyone who event wanted to take a shot at grabbing that talisman subject to a thick, clammy fog, one that blocked out all other sounds, noises, and other students. Flying was out of the question, when one could not even see their own hands in the thick fog, lest anything else and climbing the actual tree was out of the question, it looked barely thick enough to support itself. However, the steady supply of other trees, as it was a Weeping Forest, guaranteed that every student who wanted to try would have a chance at going for the pendant. After all, it could be a new sort of Fear power up, that's how they always taught in in the books, right?

Even if it wasn't, every student here would be lying if they said they weren't a tad curious

(( CLIMBING THE TREES:

- If your student dares to try scaling the tree they will be subject to the effects of the thick fog: you will not be able to see, talk to, or hear anyone else. The fog has a very stifling effect, the effects will get worse the longer the student lingers within it.
- Even though they cant see much of anything else, the strange pendant glistens through the fog like a beacon.

Rules:

Stage 1

- If your student dares to venture into the fog for the pendant roll a 100-sided dice and roleplay your student scaling a tree to grab for it. There are an infinite amount of trees around, so it is hard to tell which tree is closest, especially in the fog.
- If you roll over 50 your student successfully scales the tree and proceeds to stage 2, if you roll under 50 your student falls off the tree and must retreat from the thick fog/ roleplay outside the fog.

Stage 2:

- Your student must now fight the stifling effects of the fog. Make another post and roll another 100-sided dice. If you roll under 60 your student is close to fainting and must retreat/ roleplay outside the fog. If you roll over 60 proceed to stage 3.

Stage 3:

- Your student must make a reach for the pendant. Roll a 100-sided dice. If your student rolls over 80 they have grabbed the pendant! If you are the first student to do so, run down and show the other students your prize!

- If you roll AFTER someone has gotten the prize, you will have sadly grabbed at nothing! Scaling off the tree and heading out of the fog is recommended at this point.
- Please only try ONCE thank you ))

Fog fog fog. Riley! The Siren pricked up and gave a hug to his tentacled friend. When he went to look up at her face he saw it. Blue thing. Blue glowing thing. Israfel cocked his head, he began to walk towards it, he was going to get it. It was shiny. It was distracting it was-

It was a tree he'd just walked into with the put on his head. "......" He felt a bit silly now didn't he? The toterror in his pocket giggled. ".....None of you saw that." he hoped they didn't. A small benefit of the fog perhaps?

What the...

Completely oblivious to the goings on of the students around him (otherwise he would have gone over to say hello to LW and Natalia), Ren squinted up into the treetops, eyes narrowing as he attempted to make out the shining object enveloped within the vast fog. It was a pendant, but a curious one; he had not ever seen one like it before.

Stepping away from Vaith, Ren moved towards the tree, looking up and down at it as if sizing it up. He could take it yeah. Climb it and grab the pendant to see what it was.

Or he could just walk away. The fog was pretty irritating; he felt almost claustrophobic in it. However, with a shrug and a sigh, Ren reached out, hands gripping the lowest branch, and swung himself up onto it.

Oh well, he thought as he climbed. Here goes nothing...
