Desdemona & Anastasia

Desdemona silently cursed herself for not coming sooner. How could she have missed the alarm? Anastasia ran along beside her,
"Where's Reginald?" She asked.
"I don't know, but there's no time for that now. We can't wait for him; let's go!" Desdemona shouted back. She immediately darted toward an oncoming Jumpluff and whacked it overhead with her heavy steel jaws. As it tumbled away, it shot a stream of Bullet Seeds. Desdemona scrambled away, trying to keep her balance against the ever changing flow of wind. The Jumpluff flew close again and shot another round of Bullet Seeds, this time hitting her. She got up to her feet and grabbed the Cottonweed Pokemon out of the air with her jaws and squeezed down tight in a Vice Grip. She released it when she felt it not struggling anymore and it fell to the ground limply.
Anastasia was, too, struggling with her balance. A Pelliper came close and swept its powerful wings, creating a fair sized cyclone her direction. Anastasia braced for impact, seeing she couldn't get away without being blown away. The cyclone sent her flying off and she grabbed a branch of a nearby tree. She stedied herself and the Wingull returned. As it flew in close to attack, she launched herself at it and dug her claws in as not to be blown away again. She raked her claws across its throat pouch and Bit its head and wings. She leapt off of the bird as it plummeted towards the ground and landed lightly on her feet, only to be tossed about with the wind once more.

Frost & Nikolas & Kenna & Ketsueki & Maisha & Kaiyou

+ Guild of Morning Star Members

Frost shut his eyes, letting out an irritated roar as sharp talons raked his back. All he could do was duck lower, dodging the onslaught of attacks above his head, and hope that they'd miss his over-sized body.
The massive Arcanine twisted, bumping a large Fearow out of the way with his shoulder, and sending it spinning through the air currents, most likely to land very angrily into the paws of someone else.
The wind was strong; even he could feel it threatening to shift him, large as he was, and he was constantly moving against it, trying to stay as balanced and focused on the task as he could.
An unusual sound made him pause, grimacing, and gritting his teeth against the pain that filled his head. The sound echoed in his ears, and his dark eyes searched for the source of the noise. It wasn't long before he found it, either.
A Skarmory, splattered in blood, and screeching like a demon from Hell. It's scissor-like wings slashed at a Smeargle, that it had pinned beneath it. As far as he knew, Smeargle were relatively peaceful; artists of varying talents and all very successful in their chosen trades.
With a startled growl, he began to sprint toward the Skarmory, flames erupting from deep in his throat, and spilling out of his jaws like a waterfall, rising in wisps around his pale, icy body.
He lunged, slamming into the Skarmory with explosive force, flames billowing out on all sides as the two tumbled into the ground on the other side of the Smeargle.
There was a flash of steel, and the Arcanine snarled, swiping out with a paw as he felt something sharp slice at the top of his muzzle. Blood ran down the Arcanine's face, swiftly dried by the Flamethrower that emerged shortly after from his jaws.
The flames swirled, striking through the Skarmory's metal armor.
The Steel-type leaped up, flapping it's wings, and splatting the ground with blood as it did so. Unable to fly, it landed hard on the ground again, slicing again at Frost with a Steel Wing.
Enraged, Frost snapped back, a Fire Fang plunging through the metal blades like butter, and fire spilling out over the individual feathers like a waterfall of death.
The Flying-type's screech was cut short with a shake of the great canine's head, tearing the weakened wing structure from the bird's body, and a great paw slamming down on it's head, quieting it.
Frost released it with an angry snarl, twisting around and moving back to rejoin the fight.

Solaris---Tolin

Solaris focused his psychic on the wing of a Staravia, pinning it to the creature's body.
The Staravia, now balancing on only one wing, quickly spiraled and began falling to the ground.
"Yes!" Solaris watched in satisfaction as the simple attack downed the Staravia with little effort.
His expression shifted from one of satisfaction to fear when he noticed where it was going to fall. "Crap crap crap!"
Tolin surveyed the battle as best he could. Much to his dislike, he was able to do very little. Most of hit attacks with distance would get torn away. If he had had the pendant, Agility and Psychic would make combat more feasible... but he didn't.
Of course, that hardly stopped him from stabbing a rather stupid Noctowl in the chest when it came down to try and peck at him.

"Won't hurt meee!" The Pidgeot called out tauntingly as he shook off the few attacks that were aimed at him. Not that that seemed to be the case; small specks of blood fell from his body along with a torrent of feathers. In fact... wasn't that too many feathers? He didn't seem to be losing any...
He opened his jaw and let loose a large, concentrated blast of energy in the form of a Hyper Beam. He aimed in the general direction he'd seen the ghost-types retreat, with his efforts smoothly cutting a four-foot-thick tree in half as the beam crossed the field.
"Hahaha! Weak, so weak! Not like me, not now!"
He paused his flight, holding his position in midair. The unnatural winds that had coated the field died down in an instant, only to be replaced by something much more sinister.
Each flap of his wings brought about a Twister. The feathers that fell off his body en masse were pulled into the winds, only to just as quickly grow back.
One of the twisters found it's way through a branch. It lost most of it's feathers as each one forced itself into the branch through a razor edge.
It wasn't long before the Pidgeot had created a massive wall of advancing Twisters, with each one both a deadly weapon and a complete block against vision.
Not that that lasted long when a beam of energy tore through one of the Twisters. The Hyper Beams were weaker this time, but much faster.
"Everyone, move! If the Twisters or Hyper Beams catch you, you'll be dead!"

Twisters full of rigid, razor-sharp feathers are hurtling towards the guild. Vision is limited and death is imminent to those that get caught.
And to make matters worse, the nut is shooting Hyper Beams through the wall!

User Image~SonataUser Image~Mikhail
Sonata, noting that a lone Fearow just came coming flying from Frost's direction not quite yet finished off, thought it best to take care of her guildmaster's leftovers since it seemed that he had more valiant things to take care of at the moment. Cautious of her balance against the strong winds, the Absol leaped into the air only when she felt safe enough and proceeded to latch on to the already disoriented bird with her sharp claws; her own weight bringing it to the ground without much damage to her own body in the process. Once strewn out on the ground, all it took was a bite to the neck just for assurance that the Fearow would stay down.
Mikhail, hearing fearful cries from his guildmaster, lost all other senses of what was going on around him and broke out into a sprint back to her side. Unfortunately for him, even though his stature was above average for his species, he was hardly a match for a sudden gust of wind that swept across his path. Unable to latch on the ground in time either, the Weavile found himself airborne and swearing at the top of his lungs.
~Raven
Raven could only blink a few times in confusion as the flashing white of a Hyper Beam flew inches away from his head; nearly taking off his hat in the process, not that the wind hasn't tried a couple times already or anything but if such a travesty were to happen it would be a sad day for all... Slightly peeved by this near death experience he returned the favor back at the grossly large Pidgeot, a spray of Aura Spheres sufficing for the moment.

Rev---&---Eira---&---Delilah

Eria whimpered and bit her lip as Mikhail was carried off.
She had to do something, but she was scared.
If she let her guard down, she'd probably get hurt, and she'd never hear the end up it from Vespin, if she ever heard anything again.
The female Weavile closed up eyes and thrust her claws up, sending a swift Ice Shard flying through the air.
The attack pierced right through the Staraptor's throat, causing it to let go of Mikhail.
She then leaped into the air toward him.
As a Swellow swooped behind her back, she winced a little and spun, catching it across the face with her claws and bringing it down.
Not losing her momentum, she caught Mikhail in a hug and agilely landed one her feet, hooking her foot claws into the ground.
And then she collapsed to her knees, whimpering as blood trickled from her back where the Swellow and managed to cut her.

Rev growled and pounced to the side, pushing a particularly dense female Zangoose out of the way of a Hyper Beam.
"Keep defense in mind, girl!" He yelled.
"Shut up, old man! I don't need your help!" Was the reply.
"... Maybe not, but I need yours."
Delilah's eyes widened as she felt Rev's claws grab onto her arm.
"What are you doi-GYAAAAAAAH!"
Rev had used the momentum from a nearby Twister to start spinning, keeping a hold of Delilah and using her like a flail.
She squealed with terror, something quite new to everybody, until she felt Rev's claws release her.
Opening her eyes, she realized she was flying right toward the Pidgeot.
...Ah, now she understood.
It was still scary, though.
Readying her claws, as soon as she was close enough she swung at the Pidgeot with a Crush Claw attack.

Era & Ethfael & Sereni

After a while, Tolin rejoined them as they traveled. When at last they came to a halt it was in front of a set of trees far too large and entangled to be natural. Several members of other Guilds joined them there which was at once reassuring and ominous; clearly there would be a large battle once they faced the Flying-Types within. It was slightly unnerving, seeing a distortion of nature like the trees before them, clearly something strange was happening here, if it wasn't obvious enough already by the fact that there was members of several Guilds present here to fend off the danger.

The members of Team MistMelody made their way through the hole that ASAR had created, following the Guildmaster and Tolin and gasped collectively at the sight of so many Flying-Types. The sheer number of birds was far too much for such a small area. When the Pidgeot made his appearance, Era bristled with anger, a few sparks flying from her cheeks; she had no quarrel against Flying-Types normally, but for this one she could make an exception. As the conversation ended, and the Pidgeot began his assault, they were ready.

The winds proved to be quite a problem, and Era and Ethfael both found themselves being pushed back. Sereni grabbed onto Era's paw, preventing her from being blown away by the Tailwind, but Ethfael was out of her reach. The Dratini winced as the force of the wind drove him back several feet, but the moment the winds died down slightly he headed forward, straight into the attack.

A Xatu stood not too far from Ethfael's position, so he closed in to target it. The Pokemon watched him with unblinking eyes, not moving, but just before he attacked it, a Confusion attack hit him, making him pause just long enough for the Xatu to fire a Nigth Shade at him. Wincing, Ethfael charged forward with Extremespeed, hitting the Xatu before it had time to strike again. With a swift Dragon Rage attack at close quarters, the Pokemon didn't stand a chance.

Era hurried off as soon as the winds died as well, leaving Sereni alone to deal with whatever came her way. A Honchkrow swooped down from above, razor-sharp claws at the ready, but Sereni was prepared. With expert aim she fired a Water Gun at the Honchkrow, causing it to fall to the ground since it had no time to recover. Charging up her electricity, Sereni charged it with Spark. The smell of singed feathers rose from the creature as it slashed her across the belly with Night Slash as a final act of defiance. Sereni hit it with Spark once more, and the Honchkrow grew still, to fight no more.

An Aerodactyl hovered close by, and Sereni caught Ethfael's eye, both nodding in agreement. A Dragon Rage, provided by Ethfael, hit the Aerodactyl's wing, and it screed in outrage, flying straight towards Ethfael. Sereni wove through the others around her, making a beeline for the Aerodactyl, hitting it out of the way with Take Down, just as it got too close to Ethfael for comfort. The Aerodactyl was faster than she expected, rearing back and grabbing her in its jaws with a Crunch. Ethfael fired to Icy Winds at it, which made it drop his Teammate as it roared with anger. Sereni fired a Water Gun, followed by Spark at it, and the Aerodactyl shrieked as the volts coursed through its body until it crashed to the ground at last, defeated.

At that moment the Pidgeot unleashed a torrent of Twisters and Hyper Beams at the group as a whole and Sereni and Ethfael leaped to obey when they heard Tolin's shout. The Twisters were sucking in all the debris around them and the two watched as the feathers sliced through the leaves and twigs that they sucked up. Clearly nothing that was caught inside those Twisters would be able to get out alive. That wasn't even including the Hyper Beams that were now rapidly being shot sporadically about. "Duck!" Ethfael shouted over the winds to Sereni, as a Hyper Beam shot towards them both. They managed to hit the ground in time and the beam sliced into the tree behind them, causing it to creak menacingly.

"Where'd Era go?" Ethfael asked the Lanturn as they both got up.

"Last I saw her she was headed towards..." Sereni paled, looking over towards the Twisters, and Ethfael followed her gaze with dismay, "The Pidgeot." They both knew though, that there was nothing they could do for her now, and hurried to the edge of the ring of trees where they each grabbed onto a root for dear life as the Twisters closed in.

Era raced through the winds, determined to get close to her own target; the Pidgeot. She had dealt with its kind before, and although this one was different she was determined to deal as much damage as she could. She was tossed about a great deal as the wind patterns changed, not weighing enough to ever be firmly on the ground, but she didn't care. After several times of almost reaching the Pidgeot, just to be blown away by the winds, she at last got her chance. A group of Ghost-Types had dealt it quite a bit of damage, and she was about to give it an attack of her own when the Twisters began. "Arc'dammit!" she said, turning to run the other direction; she knew better than to keep trying to reach it through that. If she were any closer to the Twisters she was dead; there was no chance that she could fight that wind.

As Era ran, a stray Drifblim caught her eye. Angrily she fired a Thundershock at it as she passed, and looked back for just a moment to see the unsuspecting Pokemon paralyzed; standing no chance as it was sucked up into the Twister. She knew there was no time to waste and pushed herself to run even faster until she reached a spot just to the side of the Twisters' range and raced up the side of a tree to shelter on a low-hanging branch, clinging to it with all her strength.

From her vantage point, Era had a good view of the places where the Pidgeot's Hyper Beams shot through the the Twisters, and an idea struck her. Preparing her electricity, she watched and waited until a Hyper Beam was shot through the Twister. The instant she saw the beam, she fired a Thundershock directly at the same spot so that when the Hyper Beam was through, her lightning went through the opposite way. She couldn't see the Pidgeot very well, but she thought she saw it falter, meaning her attack had hit its mark. She smiled slightly, then focused on clinging to her branch once more as the Twisters closed in.

Frost & Nikolas & Kenna & Ketsueki & Maisha & Kaiyou

+ Guild of Morning Star Members

"HIT THE SHADOWS!" Nikolas yelled back at the two, ghostly females behind him, his own body immediately vanishing into thin air.
However, his command was already late in coming, as Suki had already proceeded to pull herself and Maisha to safety, away from the onslaught of Hyper Beams and Twisters.
Nikolas swerved, leaping through to the neighboring shadow to rejoin the two females he'd been fighting with.
Soft whimpering came from the nearest, the one he assumed was most likely the Mismagius, and he could sense the Gastly's blunt confusion from a mild away.
He didn't have time to question, however, instead racing through the shadows in an attempt to find his comrades.

Kenna yelped in alarm, swept off her paws as a powerful Twister was flung directly into her face. She hadn't the time to react, spinning blindly through the fierce gale.
Millions of tiny, bladed feathers sliced at her body, and she squeezed her eyes shut, spewing fire everywhere in an attempt to ward them away from her body.
Moments later, she was pulled out of the twister, and into the shadows, where she was pinned by a very concerned Banette.
From the shadows, they could do nothing but watch as a nearby member of their guild was sliced clean through by a Hyper Beam, both wincing instinctively as the life was torn from their comrade's body.

Kaiyou flung up a shield, his eyes wide with alarm as he found his Protect suddenly trying to counter a powerful Hyper Beam.
He dug his heels into the ground, gritting his teeth as he pressed back against the shield to stop the powerful beam in it's path. The energy was immense, but short-lived, and Kai collapsed down next to Raven, hissing curses under his breath.
"Bloody Hell... Raven, I can't see the girls!" He told his companion, feeling a fresh surge of anger rise inside him, mingled with concern for his separated teammates. He could only hope that they'd escaped unscathed.
He grabbed Raven's leg, using him as a balance to regain his footing, and looked around, flashing an Ice Beam at the nearest winged Pokemon he could find, and taking the Pelipper out without a second thought, blasting it repeatedly until it finally plunged from the skies, landing encased in a chunk of ice.

Frost let loose a Heat Wave, sending a rolling, seething tide of flames barreling straight into a nearby Hyper Beam. The attack flashed straight through it, slicing through flames without a second thought, and Frost quickly abandoned the attempt, diving to the side to let the attack slam instead through the trees behind him.
He lunged, slamming his paw down onto the ground, and releasing a Magma Storm.
For a moment, all around his was encased in flames and magma, the sheer heat of the attacks he used causing the air to shimmer and thicken around him.
The Hyper Beam disintegrated around him, and he forced the energy onward, magma and flames flashing against the massive wings of the Pidgeot in the sky.

Team Thundercloud

Having stood in awe at their surroundings until now, Team thundercloud was ready to go on the offensive! They were, at least, until they were swooped down on by 2 Swellow and a Fearow! Fon took out one Swellow effortlessly with a Slash to the head, while Elly stopped the other in it's tracks with a Dragon Pulse at the right moment. Bel however, was nowhere to be seen, and curiously, neither was the Fearow! Looking up, the two saw their leader attempt to struggle it's way from his captor's grasp, only to grasp the attention of several more flying types! Not wanting to see it end this way, Elly flew at the Fearow, slicing it with a Steel Wing, causing it to cry out in pain and let Bel go free. Bel, not wanting to be outdone, returned the favor to his new least-favorite pokemon with a Thunder Punch to the beak! This proved too much for the Bird-Type, and down he fell, Bel clutching his body to cushion his own landing. Elly meanwhile, used this opportunity to seek out the Pidgeot, falling out of the sky due to a Hyper Beam to a wing. Spotting her descent, the two caught her as she fell and moved her out of the way, just in time to avoid a twister!

CelsusqwertyImitiqwertyOliverasdfChuck

Team Cupric arrived at the fort of trees, having been delayed by something or other on the way there. Imiti got off Celsus and stuck his head into the hole. There appeared to be a massive battle consisting of the guild versus a group of massive flying types. As soon as he finished reporting this to the rest of the team, Oliver, having heard something, tackled Chuck to the ground as the excess energy from a Hyper Beam broke through the wall right where the Charmander's head had been.

Celsus peered through the hole. "Imiti, get me and Oliver right behind that Pidgeot! The Abra obliged,

and electrically charged jaws buried themselves into the Pidgeot's tail while Oliver jumped onto its back and buried both knives there. Then he grabbed some feathers and hung on for dear life.

After watching one of the guild members lose its life to one of the deadly attacks,

Reaver's heart felt torn out. Back home, he never witnessed a death, nor

did he ever have his own life on the line. Though he knew nothing about the

lost comrade, he felt himself become overcome by a wretched feeling that

consumed him like hellfire. Anger and pain swelled in his chest and grew

as enemies crashed down from the air above him. "Is this

'adventure'...? Is this 'fun'...?"
His thoughts were cut short as a

screeching torrent of Fearows aimed their Fury Attacks at the aron.

Caught between the torrent of Fearows and a hyper beam cutting across

from behind him, Reaver froze, his eyes growing wide and quivering.

Suddenly, from underneath him, the ground gave way and he fell into a cranny.

"YE ADDLE BRAINED BLAGGARD!!!! OUT O' TH' BLARSTED WAAAY!!!

" Cried out Quazi as he shot out of the ground from where Reaver

fell in. Though his Dig would fail to cause damage, it managed to save his

comrade's life. "Q-QUAZI!" Reaver called, watching

from the hole as the flock of Fearows were hit and knocked down by the

Hyper Beam.

"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" Cried out Quazi as

he dodged an oncoming Twister. The swirling winds all around them had

created an air current strong enough to keep his small body in the air.He

flailed his arms in a failed attempt to fly as the swirling air threated to

swallow him into its deadly spiral. "R-REAVE'!!! I TOLD

YE WE SHOULD'VE STAYED OUT O' THIS!!!"

Reaver looked up to behold his Captain's plight and climbed out of the

hole. Standing rigid, Reaver reinforced his Iron Defense and ran forward,

steering clear of the Twisters that carved into the ground as they moved

about. Above him, a Staraptor cried out as it hurled itself at him as any

Brave Bird would. Seeing this as a chance to save his Captain, Reaver

concentrated his pent up anguish to his tail end. The metal of his rear

began to shine with a silvery glow as the outline of an Aggron tail appeared

connected to his small body. "GRAAAAAH!!!"

roared Reaver as he hit the Staraptor with his Iron Tail. The impact between

both of them sent them both flying. Reaver was pushed far and was caught

by an enormous tree trunk. The Staraptor, just as the aron planned, shot

back into the sky like a baseball, smacking into the flailing mudkip before

he was swallowed by the Twister.

With the impact of the collision, Quazi was sent flying with the Staraptor

over the Overlord Pidgeot. With his eyes shut tight, Quazi let his fin radar

tell him where to hit. He shot a quick Water Pulse at the back of the

Pidgeot before he and the Staraptor crashed into the tree branches

opposite of where Reaver crashed.

(- 5 Unfortunate Fearows, -1 Staraptor, 1 damage to the Pidgeot)

Cecil

Cecil was coherent enough to see a flash of light blue, then flames. He could hear the sounds of battle, but could not turn to see it properly. He didn't hurt much -the adrenaline in his system did not allow for it at the moment- but he knew that he was badly injured. His fur was wet and matted, and his tail slackened and fell limp as it returned to normal.

Without the bird right up against him though, he could safely slip into the shadows without taking the Skarmory with him. From the safety of the other plane he saw clearly then the one who had saved him.

Until he passed out. The guy lost quite a bit of blood.

Suicune

Suicune was more than a little surprised when a green blur crashed through a branch and landed right in front of her. It was a Scyther. Its exoskeleton was marred black and he smelled of fire. It groaned and tried to get up, but a quick slap of the legendary's paw across its head rendered it unconscious.

A Hyper Beam flew above her, but the Suicune took it calmly as it passed. She then leaped up onto the branch of a tree, the winds calming around her, the razor-sharp feathers losing momentum and dropping at her presence. The North Wind was hers to command.

From her high perch she could see the centre of the maelstrom. Another Hyper Beam went out from there, and Suicune aimed for the source of the attack. She stepped back to balance on her hind legs, her mouth open as energy gathered in a light ball of blue.

She has seen enough. There was too much death, too much fighting on both sides. She knew that if she stopped this flying type the battle would end and the needless bloodshed would come to a halt.

A Hyper Beam flew at the Pidgeot, swirls of an Aurora Beam spiralling around it.

Atra && Melissa

Atra noticed then the Bulbasaur flailing on her back as the attacks approached. She looked familiar. The Flareon took one look at the oncoming Death and ran for the grass-poison type. He recognized her, and what the hell was she doing here?

"Oi! Rainy Orb, now!" He yelled, well aware of the battle-inexperienced Pokemon's tactics. He saw her making eye contact with him, one vine frantically reaching into her bag until she finally pulled out a small blue orb. It glowed briefly just as he reached her, a sudden localized downpour on their position.

All of the water turned in midair before they hit the ground, forming a large barrier between the two Pokemon and the oncoming attacks. They froze just as the first whirlwind slammed into it, dispersing against the thick and powerful ice.

"What the hell are you doing here Mel?" He asked.

((There is now a large wall of ice and safety if anyone needs to hide from the attacks))

Solaris---Tolin

Solaris stood still, his mind flexing his psychic to it's maximum potential and to no effect.
No matter how hard he focused, he didn't seem to have the ability to physically manipulate the Pidgeot as he had before; there was always some kind of... resistance around him.
Tolin of course merely stayed on the ground, circling the scene in an attempt to avoid the attacks that were overly focused. He saw, just briefly, one of the member's of Frost's guild die.
There would be time for remorse later.

"Haaah! You grab me? I grab you!" A bright white beam formed, blasting the Gyarados backwards. Luckily, it would prove to be the weakest one he had fired; the Gyarados was relatively unharmed. He didn't seem to mind the large, deep scars that moved across his backside as a result of forcing the overgrown fish off.
Meanwhile, Oliver fell prey to the fact that, well, Pidgeots can grab things with their feet. Like Poliwhirl arms. He quickly latched onto Oliver's arms and pulled him off, ripping out several of his own feathers in the process.
Oliver was quickly tossed into the air and given the gift of flight, his accommodations courtesy of a Twister that tossed him back across the battlefield.
Fortunately, Oliver and Celsus did one good thing; although the Pidgeot was undamaged, he was rather distracted.
First came the Thundershock, robbing him of his control.
Second came the Aurora Beam, with a chill that robbed him of his movement.
Third came a very angry, mildly surprised Zangoose who destroyed what little balance and momentum the Pidgeot had left, sending it hurtling to the ground.
The Pidgeot began to fall to the ground quickly, his neck turned sideways and his wings twitching as his nervous system struggled to regain control. He finally reopened and corrected his wings just above the ground--and the magma. It was here that the only mistake was made.
The vast amount of heat generated by the Magma Storm created a brief, but strong artificial updraft that launched the Pidgeot back up into the sky. Although his wings caught fire from the intense heat, he didn't seem to notice even as a sudden gust of wind extinguished them. Perhaps if the updraft hadn't been made, he might not have regained his flight.
"Hahaha! Doesn't hurt! No pain, no pain! Not like before, never hurts now!" Small bits of blood flew out of the Pidgeot's mouth as he spoke, suggesting that in spite of "no pain" he was rather injured.
He rose up, high into the air using the heat until he finally settled towards the top of the forest, far out of range of all but the furthest-reaching of attacks. Each flap of his wings as he hovered brought down a barrage of air slashes which would cut apart any flames or even most solid attacks aimed at him.
"Not a runt now! Can't hurt me, can't beat me!"
However, the mess of trees within the "forest" do have a large number of thick, sturdy-looking branches... Although not strong enough for a heavy pokemon, a more nimble pokemon might be able to climb the branches and take him down.

Air Slash attacks are covering the field! Either use your best, climb the trees or get the hell out of the way!
He also has a strange resistances to psychic attacks. They may hurt him, but you would have a hard time taking him out of the sky with them -- try something more direct!

Regaining his balance in midair, Celsus's eyes narrowed. The Pidgeot, being apparently impervious to pain, thought it was superior. Well, he'd show it otherwise.

Outside the hole, as soon as Celsus and Oliver were shaken off, Imiti and Chuck fired a stream of snow and a small fireball, respectively, at the Pidgeot.

Putting his knives away mid-unscheduled flight, Oliver grabbed a branch as he soared by. He swung himself on top, threw a ball of ice, leaped off his current foothold, and began swinging from limb to limb.

The Gyarados, having dodged an Air Slash, arrived right after the stream of indigo flame did, jaws crackling with lightning as he once again bit the Pidgeot. This time, he released his target quickly in order to swing around and strike it with his tail.

Seeing an opportunity, Oliver leaped off the final branch onto Celsus's outstretched tail, drew a knife, jumped off the tail, and caught hold of the Pidgeot's leg with his free hand. Then he started attempting to cut the Pidgeot's legs off. The fact that he had to fend off the talons with the same knife made it somewhat easier to inflict injuries.

(Powder Snow, Ember, Ice Ball, Dragon Rage, Thunder Fang, Tackle, slashy spam...I think that's -10? Make it less if it seems unreasonable.)

As Quazi began to regain consciousness, he pushed the limp bird off of

him and watched it as it tumbled down the branches.

"Thanks for th' save, matey.." He said quietly as

the flyer fell. Just then, Quazi felt the after shock of a flurry of attacks

behind him. Almost being knocked off the branch, Quazi fell to his belly

and hugged the limb for dear life. "W-what in th' hell?!!"

Almost instantly, Quazi regained all sense of consciousness as he

watched as the Overlord Pidgeot was being attacked. Fearfully, Quazi

stood on the branch and tried to back away from the Pidgeot, hoping he

wouldn't be noticed by the behemoth of a bird. Then it dawned on him; he

is nowhere close to the ground and if he fell, he'd probably get more injured

than he already was. "Awww hell..." Quazi

whinned, trembling slightly. Suddenly, Quazi saw it; the pendant around

the Pidgeot necks. His eyes shone with its reflections and instantly, Quazi

began to formulate a plan to get his paws on it. He was in range to attack

the Pidgeot, but what good could his attacks do to this enemy who hadn't

flinched from the attacks from pokemon way more powerful than he?

With treasure on the line, Quazi resolved to do what he could. He fired three

Water Pulses; one hit the eye of the great flyer, one hit the beak, and the

other missed.

Hoping that he confused the bird, Quazi leaped to another branch out of

the Pidgeot's line of sight and began to growl loudly, hopefully distracting

the bird until it looked for him. He then hoped to make a grab at the

pendant and flee.

Unfortunate for Quazi, he wasn't educated enough to realize that he would

have no way of escaping even if he managed to go through with the plan.

(1 damage to the Pidgeot; potential confusion; potential lowered attack)

The opposing collective of birds no more than a pile of strewn corpses, the fight seemed just about won for the combined power of the guilds aside from the one rather large, and disgusting looking Pidgeot left. Sonata was more than willing to chip in on this last bit of poultry to take care of but with each passing minute distanced attacks were looking more and more futile against the avian and as far as she was concerned there was no way she was getting near the enemy without obtaining equal or greater damage herself. Suicide missions weren't her thing unless it was truly for a good cause; or at least what was considered one in her mind.

Meanwhile; Mikhail was left in a disoriented state only to be broken by the feeling of something warm tricking from the fur he was holding on to for dear life. Shaking his head back and forth to wake himself out of his discombobulated daze he brought his own claws off from embracing Eira and examined them only to find the once white appendages dyed red in places.
"You're hurt..."
Even though at the moment he felt like he was going to vomit and the world was still spinning from just coming down from the ride of his life; Mikhail managed to speak words of worry before quickly getting back on to his feet. Needless to say he felt terrible for what just happened but there would be time later to apologize over and over again permitting that they managed to live through the rest of this ordeal. Despite the fact that he had his own injuries, blood trickling from where the Staraptor's claws clenched into his ankles, it was far more pertinent at the moment for him to scoop up Eira into his arms, cautious of her wounds, and race to safety behind a rather large tree trunk which now stood between them and the last enemy standing. Though this place wasn't exactly the safest, seeing what the Pidgeot was capable of, it was far better than being out in the open as an easy target to pick off.
"P-Please forgive me. You should have just left me; I would have been fine."
He breathed out heavily in pain, now seated against the bark of the tree with arms still latched gently around the precious cargo in his lap in a defensive manner, refusing to let anything else happen to Eira under his watch if it killed him in the process.

At the sound of a familiar voice Raven nearly jumped; not giving Kai a direct answer for a moment after the words finally sunk in, rather closing his eyes and concentrating on reading the aura of all the living left in the vicinity.
"They're fine."
He spoke reassuringly, having accounted for all members of his team with ease; and even though the Marshtomp at his feet looked like he had reached his limits, he couldn't just stick behind himself and watch as the enemy tried to escape on the brink of defeat.
"Sorry."
He apologized to Kai before breaking out into a sprint, casually racing up the side of a nearby tree with well placed jumps and grabs of branches like he were some sort of primate. Once past the forest's canopy the enemy was once again in sight and fortunately not far away. Despite the height at which the exchange of blows was now taking place, the Lucario rushed in without a moment of hesitation and came up upon the back of the Pidgeot and thrust a Thunder Punch into it's spine before retreating back by means of the energy built up from his own blow back to the sanctity of a lone tree branch. Granted he was an easy to find target at this point but hopefully the Pidgeot had other worries if other guild members followed his own actions.
