Some more scuffling noises but nothing jumped out from under the brush. Jubilee relaxed a bit. Though obviously something was behind the plants, and it made her curious. And as Alpha to her herd, she was duty bound to investigate. The speckled cerynei edged around the thicket and poked her head around enough to spot a soquili's head. More specifically, Florian's.
Jube sighed, "Oh good it's just you! You had me worried for a second..."
She walked into full view. Now that they both had a better view of the other, she saw Florian pinched between some bare branches. Her beautiful wreath of roses were trapped in the branch's fingertips. Jubilee's face quickly changed from cheerful relief to concern. "Oh... Well now what do we about this?" Jubilee moved closer to inspect the necklace, all the while pondering on how she was to get one of her herd unstuck.

Temperance nodded to Cae another to come on the journey. He wasn't sure he else there was there to come. There wasn't anyone else. Jubilee needed to stay and so did Cae. A cold breeze shifted across the plain and Temperance looked toward the sunset. "Tomorrow, I will leave tomorrow towards the village. He looked at Florian who had said she would travel with him that morning. "If it too soon for you dear, I will go alone. It will be alright, I've done it alone before. This new wind does not makes me sure that a storm will be coming soon." He turned to Jubilee. "We need to get the stone den ready for shelter. I'm sure this will be something big."

Shaking his head and smiling. "If needs be I know a couple of stallions that would be happy to help, just let me know when you decide to go if you need others." Knowing Sonnet would help happily, Ab would help though he might be a little grumpy and quiet at going out in the cold. The desert stallion was not fond of the winters here. "It will be fine though." Nodding, very sure that there was going to be no trouble from the two if the extra help was needed. Not having wanted to worry him. "If the wind changes the storm will blow in a different direction , but for now..." That was the thing with the future and the weather, you could only predict one possibility, from things as they were that very moment. Had he been asked tomorrow there might not have been any storm, there was never any way to tell.

Just as Cae's words had finished the wind picked up. Dark clouds seemed to form from nothing. The once bright and sunshiny day had turned into the complete opposite. They would have to choose there plan of action fast. Then snow started to fall, heavy and thick, it was hard to see two inches in front of ones face...but, it was to warm for nice fluffy snow. This was wet, almost like a freezing rain, it hurt like tiny pins as it fell upon your back. They all had choices to make quickly now...what would they do? (everyone can choose their own plan of action the storm will last a while so be careful!)

Jubilee's eyes turned skyward watching the sudden weather change. As if it were a bad omen, fear struck Jube. She knew she had to protect the herd from this terrible weather. The doe quickly broke the tangling branches and set Florian free. "Hurry, we must get back to the herd and get everyone in shelter!"
She raced off without waiting for a response. On the way she saw more cerynei headed for the shelter of some teepees. Jubilee continued running until she spotted Temperance. She was thankful for the thick covering of trees she stood under, the icy hail didn't reach her for now. "Temperance! Most of the herd has gone for shelter. But I think we should double-check." Jubilee was a bit out of breath from her running so she paused before continuing. "And I found Florian, she should be on her way back."

Cael looked up at the sky again as it darkened and the storm hit. He was used to being right but not quite so instantly, looking at Temperance his expression apologetic. "I'll come with you, we dont have the time for worrying too much about who goes or even if they would usually do such things." The herd was too small to be picky about who did what. He wished he could have gotten the fire pit done, though now wasn't the time for that. "Gather everyone that will be going. Though one should stay behind to keep the fire going." Walking over to where he had been setting it up, not bothering to finish the rocks, he could do that later, light and heat were what was important now. Piling some of the wood up before getting something from his home, placing a flat long stone in the edge of the fire, and holding it with his hoof. Rubbing one that looked like a cigar against it a few times before the fire took and was soon ablaze. Returning the items to his tent he looked to the Alphas to make their choices.

Temperance heard Jubilee as she hurried off to the Stone Den. "Jubilee! Go with the rest of the herd, you must look after them. I'll be right behind you. I'm going to try and get as many food supplies as I can to bring to the den. I can't leave the herd now, I could run for the human camp and come back with supplies, but I won't do that. I will stay with you all. Once this storm passes I can go to the human camp. We may not it, but I won't let you die alone, we don't have many supplies, but we should last a week maybe more. I must hurry and get as many other provisions as I can right now. I will meet you at the Stone Den, I promise." With that he took off down to the same area they were this morning. The berries were almost frozen from the extreme temperature drop, and the wind had already taken many of the berries off of the branches. I'll get enough, I know another area with these berries also...we will make it through this.

Jubilee nodded to her Alpha. She hoped he was right about them surviving this storm. Such a sudden and extreme change never boded well.
At the den, her fears lost their edge but never left her entirely. She circled the entrance counting the herd members as they entered. Jube was thankful for the bit of fire Cael had provided. It helped soothe the others. Occasionally she would address them, reassuring them that they would be fine. Jubilee knew that they would be fine deep down, but she worried for their leader. Temperance was taking his time getting back to the shelter. And there still was no sign of Florian. Part of her blamed herself for rushing off so quickly. Her orange eyes gazed out the den's entrance, watching the rain stream down like an aquatic curtain. "Please be safe..." she whispered to herself.
