Rosemary walked towards the edge of the building. She looked down and her eyes widened. She wasn't expecting it to look so hight up. Taking a few steps back she let out a breath and watched as a small cloud formed and then faded away. She looked up at the sky and blinked. Hey mom, she thought.

Rogue came into Rosemary's veiw. She hovered above the base for a few moments, glancing around.
(OMFG BAT-LADY! *shoots* Oh crap, sorry Rogue. o_O)

Rosemary blinked, seeing something hovering in the sky. Her eyes narrowed as she stared at her. Then they widened. "What the hell?" she wondered out loud. She looked around to see if she wasn't exactly crazy. Then again, she saw some pretty odd things today. Shaking her head, she continued looking at the woman, a bit shocked.

Rogue folded her wings in a bit, holding on knee in the air as she bulleted towards the earth. She landed a few feet from Rosemary, looking off the edge of the base as she put her other foot down and unfolded her wings. "Now where did I leave it? I know I had it when I was watching Shadow, but when I dropped into the car I don't remember holding it...." she murmured to herself, putting her hands on her hips.

Rosemary turned as the strange woman landed. She took a step back, but remembered the edge. Instead, she started scooting away from the edge, which meant going a bit closer to Rogue. "Who are you?" she asked. Might as well talk than surprise her. It probably wouldn't work for either of them. She didn't know who this was, must less what she was.

Rogue's large bat ear twitched. She looked over her shoulder. "Hm? Oh!" She turned around. "You haven't by any chance seen a diamond around here, have you?"

Rosemary blinked. "A...diamond?" she asked. She shook her head. "No, I'm afraid I haven't." She looked around. "At least, I don't think I did. I just got up here." She wondered who this person was and what she was. And why she was looking for a diamond. A chilly breeze made her shiver. She pulled her jacket even closer to her body and let out a breath. "I'd help you find it, if it's that important." she said.

Rogue raised her eyebrows. "Hm. You're one of the few people that don't seem startled by the fact I'm a bat." She shrugged. "I'm not complaining. Anyhow," She looked in the direction that Shadow's car had gone. "I think it was over that way....Hmm."

Rosemary gave a soft laugh, rubbing her neck. "Well, you're not exactly the oddest thing I've seen today." she said. She followed Rogue's gaze and the scene from earlier replayed in her head. "How big is it?" she asked. "The diamond." Wait! Shouldn't you ask if it's stolen? she thought. She shrugged it off. She let Shadow get away with the papers.They seemed just as valuable.

"About the size of....Hmmm..." Rogue glanced around, as if for something to compare it with. "Well, it's the size of a large egg. I was supposed to bring it back to base, but, eh, Shadow can just give them the fake one I threw him." She didn't mind telling Rosemary this; it was unlikely the girl would tell anybody about this, from what she had observed from the trees.

Rosemary blinked. "That big?" she wondered out loud. "Well then, it shouldn't be hard to miss." She tilted her head at the mentioning of a 'Shadow'. "Who?" she asked. It was either another strange thing or...the person from earlier?

(The guy who stole those papers from the safe in your room." Rogue explained, "I was the girl talking to him through that device on his wrist. It's a tracking one. Poor guy can't even leave to eat unless he's on a mission." She flapped her wings a bit, allowing her to hover off the ground a little, so she could see better.

"So that's his name." she murmured. She had started scanning around for this large diamond. She heard Rogue and she asked, "What do you mean by that? Like, he's not allowed to leave where? Your base?" She sighed. "That sounds like it sucks. I'd hate being stuck in one place." Then she thought about here and she snorted.

"What makes it worse is he's been stuck like that for twenty-three years. He has forever to go, until he dies or is killed on a mission." Rogue said this all casually, as if it were an everyday subject. "Hmmm, I wonder if it dropped out of my pocket and into that car? But then I would have the trouble of finding it...."

Rosemary grimaced. "That's a long time." she said. "Way too long. I'd have gone insane." she said. She went towards the edge of the building and looked down. "Well, I don't see it anywhere around here." she said with a sigh. She moved a strand of her hair out of her face. "I think the best you can do is retrace your steps."
