She smiled warmly as he slowed down, even if she could tell from the start off that he was much faster than her, he was being very gentlemanly. She was impressed and enjoying the fact they were running together, so close to each other she could feel the warmth radiating from him. It was comforting.
She looked ahead and grinned. "You're right!" she kept at the steady rhythm they had fallen in to until they got to the edge and then came to a slow stop. Looking between him and the ice with a soft smile.

Riley slowed up and stopped in front of the river of ice. "Well, you ready to give a go?" He looked to her with a grin. He hadn't actually tried this before and wasn't sure how it would turn out.
"I'll be here for support." He said, but wondered if it was her or him that would need the support. He didn't mind falling over and least it would be fun and a laugh!

"I'm ready if you're." She looked back over the ice, wondering if it was thin or thick enough to handle them both. "Just have to be careful."
She nodded at his offer at support, in return he also could grab on, or lean on her for his own support if need be. Ok, lets try this...
She moved one hoof on to the ice steadily and then moved till three of her hooves were on the ice and pushed off the edge with her back hoof, going sliding across the ice as she looked back over her shoulder at Riley. "Come on over, the ice is fine!" She laughed nervously. Although, turning on it would be a different matter...

Riley watched as Paavai slide across the ice. It did look pretty safe. He stepped carefully with on hoof at a time. Finally he was unsteadily on the ice. "Here I come!"
Riley pushed himself just a tad and slid over to the mare. "Well, hello..." He said with a silly grin, "Fancy meeting you here..." He chucked and then went unbalanced for a second, but caught himself and tried to stay smooth and cool.

Paavai chuckled at him being silly and actually charming, watching as he stumbled and then quite swiftly collected himself again. "You're right. How surprising, two wanderers happened to meet again." She played along, smiling at him.
"Anyone would think it was a sign~" She sang happily, giggling as she skated with him, one of her hooves almost running off on her. Her shoulder came in contact with Riley's helping support her as she gave a sigh of relief. Finding balance again.
"That was close!" She chuckled, smiling widely at him.

"Yes, a sign. A good one too..." Riley smiled, he really liked this girl. He felt her lean on him for support and he looked down at her, "Just do'nt take me down with you!" He chuckled and skated on.
It seemed liked they were getting a good rhythm to this and he looked over at her, "Want to try it backward?" He was feeling ambitious and that could go one of two ways good or he could fall on his face. Riley was always up for a challenge!

Pavie blushed at his words gently, inwardly feeling the same as she looked at the ice thinking if her face were to come in contact with it, it would instantly melt. She blinked. Backwards..?
"We could try it." She smiled curiously wondering how that would work as she looked at him for guidance. He was full of surprises, if anyone could do it, then surely, he could! She paused on the ice and stopped skating, waiting for him to make an attempt unless they were to try together.

Riley didn't notice the blush, but would have joined her if he had. He then thought, "Well, why don't just push your hooves the opposite direction. That should work..."
Riley paused and then took his front hoof and pushed just enough to see what would happen. He felt the momentum switch and then he smiled, "See?"

"Right..." She looked down at the ice after seeing his small demonstration. She thought it would be harder, especially to keep a sturdy frame when you couldn't see where you were going. She shook her head and did the same as him, stiffening.
When she hadn't slipped or fallen, a bit more confidence filled her features and she looked at him. "I see." She smiled back, skating backwards some more, seeing if they could find the same rhythm again.

"There you go!" Riley encouraged, with a smile. It seemed pretty easy, but then he forgot that he couldn't really see where he was going. Before Riley knew it he ran into the edge of the river and that threw him off balance, "Oops!"
Riley started to fall over in the snow and watched Paavai, hoping he didn't take her with him.

Paavai blinked a few times hearing the 'oops' she had been focusing on her feet and when she looked over her shoulder at Riley, he was falling, which soon ended her bumping backwards in to him, making them both fall in to the snow lapsing over each other.
"Eep!" Pavie called as she fell, her neck landing across his as they were now now covered in snow, the rest that had jumped at their fall made it look as if it was snowing again. She chuckled. "A-are you alright?" She asked, pulling her head back so she could see him, shaking the snow from her mane.

He did end up taking her with him. They both seemed to be ok. He smiled over at her as she lay across him, "Fine, you?"
"Maybe going backwards wasn't the greatest idea after all?" Riley chuckled and then looked over at Paavai. How were they going to get back up?

Paavai chuckled. "You think?" She gave him a wide smile. "I dunno, I kinda liked how we ended up. It was... Different." No thoughts had crossed her mind about moving, even now she was simply smiling at him, her bright blue eyes smiling too.

"You do?" A blush washed across his face. He had to admit he liked how they ended up too. He nuzzled her face with his and smiled. "So, what now?" He asked as they were both unmoving. He had never been in a situation like this and was unsure how to handle himself.

Paavai blushed lightly at his nuzzle, nodding in further admittance at his question and carefully untangled her limbs from his own as she then climbed back to a stand, looking down at him. "Do you like adventures? I think we should go on one!" She chuckled. It was a bizarre idea, but she wasn't sure if they were ready to part ways yet. "That's if... You could put up with me that long." She smiled playfully, trotting around him in a circle, before coming to a stand at his side.
