Now that was interesting. Well, two 'that's actually. West hadn't actually been paying attention the last time someone had used their bells to heal, so there was that that, and then there was the headless ghost that was hurrying after them, her apologies spilling from nowhere. Headless.
"'m West," he offered, including not only the headless ghoul but also the apparent president of their student council in his greeting. He clenched his free fist to keep himself from going over to Alwine and running his hand through the air where her head should have been. Sure, he'd met ghosts, but most, if not all, of them had heads.
As for the incredulity that had followed his statement about Awesome Violence, well, he wasn't going to address it. At least not to explain it. Violence was just awesome. He couldn't put it into words. "Damage, yeah. Rewards?" he shrugged. "I guess. I like blood n'fists more'n boxes fulla crap."

"Alwine! I'm a little surprised but so happy to see you here!" To be honest, she didn't think the ghost had it in her. She was such a shy, scared ghoul, always worrying. This definitely showed that there was more to Alwine than meets the eye. Or neck. She was feeling stronger by the minute with them around. Maybe.. maybe they could stand a chance here.
"Hello, West, it's nice to meet you," she greeted the demon. At least she assumed he was a demon. Sometimes it was hard to tell but you couldn't mistake the horns and tail. He had some damn bright hair though. The kind that you wouldn't mind playing with. Would it be long enough for pigtails? Probably not. Besides, if he was a demon, he was certainly a guy not to mess with. Krumm car had given her a new perspective of demons but she wasn't so foolish to assume they would all be her friends, or at least friendly to her.
"If we had trees attacking us in the woods, do you suppose we will have peppermint candy attacking us here? Candy Canes? I wonder if we could eat our way through them," she commented curiously. There really was no telling what awaited them.

"I couldn't leave you guys... I was too scared, I'm sorry... I figure it would be better to get hurt with people I know instead of strangers..."
Alwine nodded her neck towards West. "Hello, it's nice to meet you. If you don't mind me saying, it doesn't look like you'll have much trouble here... you look strong."
It did little to comfort Alwine, even though she was happy to see the others here.
"They said that this was the most dangerous way... even if we do go quickly. I guess we should start with the first step?"

The Reaper let out a sigh of relief, "So no more will be-" Colette heard footsteps and a familiar voice headed toward them and turned around to see no one other than Alwine. It seems she spoke too soon, Oh man, another Krumm.
"Hey Alwine.." she tried not to sound bothered, but she didn't sound overly happy either, which was normal for the Reaper anyway. She would only feel worse if the ghoul really was stuck alone though. Plus she had called Colette a friend, or at least Colette hoped she was included in that, and she felt bad for even planning on running off in the first place.
Ultimately, she said to stay safe; and avoiding that island/water and mountains was safe. Sort of. Plus Candycane Land hadn't lived up to its description yet either. If anything, at least they were together. Traveling in a group worried her still though, they were quite noticeable.
The Reaper shoved her hands in her pockets and sighed, "Well. We're together so we should be good. This doesn't seem as bad as what the gnome said either," she actually sounded pretty satisfied and optimistic.
The thought of Rain munching on a candycane enemy made Colette laugh, "Maybe. At least we won't go hungry."

Jam sighed, and then grinned, "I'm kidding." She chortled slightly before pulling out a pumpkin pill. Eh one down, but they still had the bells right?
She swallowed it before shaking her head, "Ugh, I hate those things." The fact she got beat up from the tree healed quickly. She sighed, "There now I'll stop being such a sour puss, kay? I just kinda like well thought out ideas."
She winked at Basil and looked back towards Tsetsiliya. "Yes, anyways there's enough of us. I'm sure we'll be fine, I just have this uneasy feeling."
She paused at Rain, "I hope they're not as dirty as the tree, he was a bit too frisky trying to give me that hug." She stuck her tongue out. "On the upside, we can eat Candy canes right?" Her ears were still twitching trying to keep up with what could possibly be out there.
"Soo... looks like it's just me and you Basil from the Gromble car." Maybe the rest of the car was 'smarter'? Nah....

Basil was really confused with West "Wait..you like fighting..just for fighting? What do you gain from that?" She hugged her box from the tree to her chest, she loved getting free stuff, and if she had to fight for it in her pathetic way, then she would.
She turned her head back to Jamais and watched her cheer up with the pill but still felt shameful "It's not that you were being a...sour puss? I just guess I can act on impulse sometimes." Basil smiled back at Jamie and shrugged her shoulders. "For now, yes, maybe more will come, hard to say."
She looked at the distance and sighed. "The quite of this place is starting to annoy me." Basil was kicking her feet as she walked, wanting to run ahead to loosen up.

Danny had FINALLY made his way out of the forest of drunken trees. Following his nose to the place that smelled like sweet sweet candy. He would bring some back to Sin when he found her. He liked Sin alot- but it seamed different now that he had been a dog for awhile. Now she was more like a 'master' then a love interest. A HOT HOT owner.
His tongue hit the pepperminty ground. UGH this tasted horrible. To much joy in it. Nothing like the candy they had back home in Halloweentown. This stuff SERIOUSLY sucked the fear out of him worse then it was.
It was then he heard students in the distance. Well at least if THEY were lost THEY could be lost together with him. He raced forward barking and whimpering floating threw some of the candy canes on the side of it for the hell of it.

There was a steady thumping sound coming from behind the group and if they turned around they'd see a bloody and exhausted looking ghoul steadily catching up on them.
Huffing a little Mandy finally caught up with the group, she'd been afraid for a while that she would be left behind to travel the lane on her own. Giving a tired wave she steered herself towards Alwine who had been the final piece of motivation to get her down this path, "Hey, I'm Mandy.", this last part was obviously added for the ghouls and boils in the group that she didn't recognize.

She shrugged, "Well of course we can eat candy canes.. I think. Or does Joy make it bad?" She had eaten snow earlier. A lot of it. Though it wasn't exactly bounding after them for hugs. She rather be safe than have someone vomiting or worse, "I guess we shouldn't eat them.. They are Joy and all that Christmas whatever.. You know, to be safe. The snow is plenty good though."
The Reaper was about to start walking when she realized Barth was still on the ground from Tsetsiliya and Rain's arrival. Though it was more Tsetsiliya's arrival than Rain's that did it. They weren't exactly going to get far like that, and so Colette walked over to help him up. "You okay? We should get moving soon." Though she nearly dropped him when she saw two new arrivals.
Though she sort of welcomed Mandy, Krumm and whatnot, she now knew that the trip was going to be troublesome with all these people, "Hello there.."
Now there was even more of a reason to get moving: so they couldn't be swarmed with even more new arrivals. She couldn't even imagine how the couple of strangers they did meet felt, what with Krumm being the majority and knowing eachother.

"Fine. Just, you know, acquainting myself with the path." He let Colette tug him upright, in spite of her surprise at seeing other car members heading their way. After spending some time with the ground, Barth felt safe in assessing it as sticky.
"Thanks," he said to Colette. "You look, err, here," Barth said, fishing his weapon of choice from his pocket and, giving Mandy a single bell ring.
He hadn't remembered all the blood on the train.
Barth was probably not the best person to be taking up healing responsibilities, but the bell was doing most of the work. How many zones did they need to go through, anyway?

Mandy felt the bell ring wash over her and suddenly most of her aches and pain, along with her exhaustion, disappeared. "Thanks, I wasn't looking forward to finding out what makes this path so dangerous in my condition.", she even shot him a grateful smile as she said this, Mandy really had warmed up to Krumm car.
Deciding that she should offer some help back she spoke up, "Is there anything you need carried? I know speed isn't your strong suit so a lightened load should help."

The dog finally caught up to the bunch and sat on his haunches with his tail wavering back and forth. "OH CARRY! I CAN CARRY THINGS!" He puffed out his chest being a husky they were BRED to carry things. He then stopped and lifted up his paw offering it to anyone that wanted to 'shake'. "I'm Danny. I come from the Gromble car...It's nice to meet you all." His tail kept wagging back and forth...
"And no don't eat the candycanes...they taste very bad." He had heard the question as he ran over. "It'll suck the FEAR right out of you!"

Barth looked at Mandy with something approaching adoration, and immediately handed her all of his crap that was not required clothing, a pill, or a peppermint point.
He looked at the dog (apparently a student) thoughtfully. "Really?"

Raziel was growing more and more antsy with the size of the group. He was on the verge of suggesting everyone split up into two groups. He could see that one of the reaper ghouls, Colette had similar feelings. And to top things off, even MORE students were finding their way out of the forest. At least the group had continued to move despite the constant interruptions.

"HHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYY!!!"
Of course, the only way Belladonna could make a proper introduction was to shout loudly, announcing her presence to all. Her figure was seen running toward the group, waving her hands excitedly over head, tossing her bag with the tent and pills inside around, and armed with her wreath on her head, its circumference around the base of her hat. Was it wise to draw such attention to herself? Probably not, but she kind of hoped that whoever said the Candy Cane Trail was dangerous was just being over-dramatic (like her!).
"So, how's it going. No one attacked yet, right?" Why was she smiling so much?!
