They're will be more than one number that could potentially give the double rolls.

So the Tri-Alliance took Sigor. What did you have in mind for the next event, Rusty?

I'd say that was a successful event! It actually looked like Jenson would win for a moment, but the Kendari's ambushes and the nuke did their job.
Anyway, the Tri-Alliance attack should be on Cort's genetics facility, which is an entire planet. Getting quite literal with the name Dragonheart, Cort is bio-producing soldiers spliced with reptilian DNA (some of which is wyvern DNA acquired from the temporary capture of Necropolis).

This sounds like a job for either the Provocatores or Terror Legion to take care of.

Or a death star! xD Hmmmm... I think that would actually be possible to do with a dice battle. Basically the Death Star sits in the back of the attacking fleet and does nothing as it slowly draws closer. Give it like 5000 HP and make it so that it doesn't do any damage at all and only rolls for defense until like the tenth page of the fight where it begins rolling to fire its super laser. The super laser doesn't fire unless it rolls say 90 or above.
That sound good? Even if you don't decide to go with it I'm curious if you think its fairly balanced for an instant win thing.

That has promise, Brian. Attacking the palace can only be done once the Tri-Alliance has the advantage. Trying to go for it now would result in epic fail.

Yay? And yes Brian would be capable of loaning the Tri-alliance a death star.
God my main is such a gary-stu. xD

Yeahh....the Tri-Alliance doesn't like to waste resources. They're not going to attack Cort's super doom palace unless they know they have a good chance of winning.
@Liako: What's the SGGG?

Assaulting planets is way too easy if you don't care about where on the planet you hit. Just fly to the outskirts of whatever system its in. Find a bunch of big space rocks. Do some trajectory calculations and then strap some rockets to them and let them fly. Rinse and repeat. =P
You get enough of them going you can have them strike from every direction and unless they manage to move the planet its unlikely they'll be able to stop them all. Or you can skip the rockets if you got tractor beams. So low resource cost. Though heavy on calculations and the like.

That wouldn't work against the Enites. Surface explosions don't do s**t to a race that lives underground. XD
As for the DHE, I imagine they have deep underground bunkers and complexes as well.

Depends on how deep underground they are and just how big of rocks you're throwing at them. I'm talking at least half a mile in diameter each. Besides at the very least you'll get rid of a lot of the surface defenses. The only real downside is that's a lot of collateral damage so if there are civilians on the surface of the planet your attacking that's a lot of innocent blood spilled.
I would have to do some research on just how big of a space rock would be needed to blast holes in the ground over a mile deep. Though admittedly velocity has a big thing to do with it as well. Though assuming the system has an asteroid belt like our Solar system you could potentially fling a dwarf planet at it. Ceres is 590 miles in diameter. =D Now that's a big a** space rock.
And considering it was a 6 mile wide rock that killed off the dinosaurs... =D
<_< If you couldn't tell I like contemplating ways to explode the hell out of things. Mostly planets. =P

Hehheh...Ceres. I always get the giggles when I think of it cause Ceres is the name of my alternate Remus' girlfriend.
This is true. Unfortunately, the Tri-Alliance wants to avoid killing off civilians in massive amounts. Those tactics would have to be used on planets that are strictly military only.

I figured as much. However you can still launch pinpoint meteor strikes. Or you can get a bunch of steel rods strap some rockets on the back of them and go to town with those. Rods from God is what they're called.
http://www.popsci.com/scitech/article/2004-06/rods-god
There's all sorts of things you can do if you already have cheap spaceflight that doesn't require potential loss of manpower or the creation of explosives.
A fun one is taking a Bussard ramjet getting that thing up to .9c and ramming a planet with it. That's a helluva big boom. That and the EM fields they generate to gather intersteller hydrogen are powerful enough to kill people on enemy ships.
But if you're assaulting a planet with civilians that you don't won't killing you are kinda forced to expend man power with more precise orbital bombardments and ship to ship battles. Hmmmmm....

Heh, I once watched something on the History channel about weapons like that. Interesting how a a metal rod about the length and width of a telephone pole could cause so much destruction, if it falls at the right speed.
