I guess it's good that Jonathan died, in a way. I mean, if his heart was so fragile that the next time he got upset he would have a fatal heart attack, he wasn't going to last long anyway, as opposed to Lana, who has a healthy (if fictional) life ahead of her.

One thing I didn't understand, is that Lana was supposed to die of old age. How the hell was that changed? Shouldn't that kid in Hereafter seen that car crash coming?

Original_Sin One thing I didn't understand, is that Lana was supposed to die of old age. How the hell was that changed? Shouldn't that kid in Hereafter seen that car crash coming? Well, in Hereafter it suggested that when Clark interferes with fate, he changes the course of people's lives in ways no one can predict. So we don't know how Clark's actions changes Lana's fate, but he's interfered to save her so many times, she could have anything in store for her. (Except she really shouldn't die young because in Superman legend, she's around about 20 years after Smallville takes place at least)

One thing you are fogetting is that when Al Gough and Milees Miller went to DC comics asking if they could make a Superman show on Smallville, They signed a Contract that gave them ALL rights to superman. Thats the bad thing about Dc's comtracts is that if they decide to make a movie then they give all the rights to that comics away. Such as the new Green Lantern movie.

I understand that, since they've changed many parts of the story (like Pa Kent not dying before the fortress was created, etc.), but it would just be rude to take a dump all over Superman legend and kill a character who is supposed to live for a good while longer. I'm not saying they won't kill Lana. I'm saying they really shouldn't.

Hello. I wish Lana stayed dead cuz I really don't like her. Poor Johny. But I went to the wb site and read the thing about next weeks, and they still had John Sciender (sorry if i copped that) staring in it.

I think that they knew if they killed off Lana they might loose a ton of viewers and with competition like Lost and such they can't afford it

Yea, but if they killed off Clark (which I totally know they can't or they would not have a show or a superman) then I wouldn't watch it. I already miss Johnathon and it hasn't even been the next episode yet. xp

man, i FINALLY got to see it today...i dont get cable, adn lex doesnt have wb, so he has someone tape it, and i just borrowed the tape with the last 4 episodes...from the lexmas (b***h, b***h, b***h....) episode to now...
and all i have to say was #100 WAS AWESOME
i mean they definatly didnt let us down....though johnathon being dead will twist the plot just a little bit...i mean the farm will be gone...even if he did have life insureance or something, after he said he would pay back lionel im sure that he(lionel) will go after the money...and i wonder who will be senator...our buddy lex?

DarthDahkan Any one have any idea how many seasons theyre gonna do? rumor mill here at coe says indicates the possibility of the show ending soon because of wb being purchased. jonathan being dead and an opening at the planet would put things pretty damn close to where they would need to be for the legend to begin where it normally does. they just need to put lois in chloe's place. gonk

You have your facts a little messed up buddy. smallville has signed up for 7 seasons. The Wb was not bought out, wb bought upn. the merge is not going to have any effect on Smallville
