As the tall shinobi took out a writing utensil and a small notebook, Hibiki and Kuro exchanged curious glances. The Inuzuka was still on all fours as he watched the man, who made a retort about having eyes on the back of his head. "Well, we are graced by a rather unaware Shinobi, Kuro." He whispered to his companion as he crawled into the briefing room. The Notepad Ninja suddenly exclaimed that their new teammate is a shark and then began to gloat about how strong he was. Hibiki and Kuro casually took a chair on the other side of the table, across from Sharkie. "Well Kuro, not only have we found the most oblivious shinobi, we have found the weakest shinobi in the group." Kuro yipped twice happily and wagged his tail as he began to get comfortable under the table. "I think introductions are also in order, starting with you." Hibiki ordered, beaming at the Shark across the table. Quote: 115 lines (OMG GUYS MY BROWNIES ARE DONE~)

Kyu stared in disgust at the eager ninja practically jumping out of his skin in front of him. Instantly, his first impressing became very true-to-life. This kid fit the bill of below-average over-eager hyper-active ninja without any real skills. As far as first impressions went, this kid looked horrible. Kyuzaku remained cool however, he'd dealt with ninja trainees who were hyper about maybe being a ninja before. There was always one real way to fix them, take them into combat. However, because they weren't in the simulation program Kyu had been in for the past few years, he would have to either spar or wait for a C-Rank mission, where they might find some high-risk fighting.
Kyuzaku smirked behind his face mask, "Jeez kid, give it a rest. No, I'm not a hero, I'm just an experienced genin." Kyuzaku's beady eyes looked up and down the boy, Strong? Yea, right.
Then there was the creepy Inuzaka kid in the corner. He and his ninja fox were wierding Kyu out. Their identical eyes and smiles were offbeat at best. However, Kyuzaku liked his comment about the notebook-ninja. If either of these two seemed to have an attitude for being a ninja, this callous creep would be it.
"My name is Kyuzaku. Kyuzaku Hoshigaki. As you can tell, my clan is half-shark. However, it isn't considered a gekkai-genkai. My favorite food is sushi, vegetarian or otherwise. My least favorite is scallops. The texture is disgusting, if not, the flavor is revolting. My hobby is deep sea fishing. If I have any other time on my hands, I train my Taijutsu... Good enough for you Smiley?"

The shark kid gave him a nasty look and told him to basically back off. Rinku's smile weakened, he may have overdid the intro a little. Then the fox kid came in from earlier, also apparently on the team. He talked to his fox about how weak he was. Rinku's smile was eliminated. The Shark kid shot him down with powerful words and expressions and the fox boy used his sharp tongue to simply crush his spirit. Rinku backed away, then smirked and closed his eyes and thought, half ignoring the conversation Ah... two more angry shinobi... looks like its gonna be lots of fun, hope they dont kill my mood. He took a look at the shark boy. This guys gonna be a buzzkill no doubt... At the very least he looks like he'll be strong. then he turned his head to the cocky sharp tongued ninja. Fox boy over there is gonna keep hitting my buttons for his own pleasure... Rinku thought back to the last time he lost his cool, he ended up hurting the team instead of being any help. Then he thought about his other team. There was Akio who did nothing, but put him down, he looked up at the fox kid. And there was Rio who ignored him and disregarded him as being a ninja. Rinku shook his head Haha, here we go again ey? The shark boy went on about his eating habits, Rinku just started getting back to reality and had no idea why he was talking, but made it look like he had heard every single word. All things considered... hah... well lets just hope we can end this mission as soon as possible... at least Rio is nice to look at... Once the shark kid had ended on a note "Good enough for you Smiley?" Rinku realized they were giving itroductions. Rinku gave a weak smile and said. "Im Rinku Kaguya, I can tell already that neither of you are satisfied with this new team... so if you guys could use your power to its full potential and end this mission as soon as possible, then we can all return to our respective teams with a succesful mission in hand, and no problems..." Rinku caught himself at his words Oh wait... thats not what hero's say "Uhh... wait..." He pulled out his notebook and skimmed through it. He saw big letters written from his match with Akio. "Lets do it up." It said, Rinku nodded. "Let's do it up!"

The Shark boy introduced himself while he prattled on about favorite hobbies, foods, and other frivolous information. Hibiki yawned, whether it was intentional or not. Oh boy. Kyuzaku here plans on telling us his life story. He reminds me of Grandpa Inuzuka. However, he did let out that he was a taijutsu user. Information like this is usually good to remember. The Shark Genin ended his little introduction by mocking him, calling him Smiley. With a strained smile he answered back, "No, I'd also like to know your favorite color and romance novel, since those will be especially relevant to every mission we will be on."Before Hibiki could retaliate any further, Rinku introduced himself, and added a bit about just 'grinning and bearing it' so they can return to their other teams. "Kekeke. So you had another team before us? And how did that go? Then again, it probably didn't go so well if you're stuck with us, right Kuro?" He giggled a bit as he looked under the table at his Ninsune. Pushing buttons was second nature to the Inuzuka, so having someone that was such an easy target around made him feel a bit at ease. "But I digress. My name is Hibiki Inuzuka, and this is my Ninsune, Kuro Inuzuka." He turned towards Kyu, "I do not like sushi. I like meat. My hobbies include playing music and picking on blue-skinned Shinobi."After his nice, pleasant, and all around heart-warming introduction, he smiled a bit wider and turned towards the projector. "I agree, let us 'do this up'."

"Eh.. Sorain." Sai muttered warningly to his brother when the two Anbu operatives entered the facility and addressed them. It was frightening how they had approached them without warning, neither Sai nor Sorain had sensed their presence until the two were upon them and it was too late by then. Their intimidating presence loomed over the two brothers and the only one with sight was able to see and feel the dread of their appearance as he stepped back nervously, using every ounce of will and strength in his body to stop himself from cowering away. But it couldn't stop the trembling in his knees and the oppressing fear was too much for the boy to even attempt to go for the reassuring touch of one of his weapons. Gulping down heavily, Sai tried to think of what to do and it came as a hue wave of relief when the Anbu themselves gave him his next actions. Almost instinctively, Sai was already turning and beginning to walk away in silent obedience but his wall of security came crashing down around him like a fragile sheet of glass that was smashed through completely with a hammer, the pieces scattering around and breaking apart as they touched the floor again. The scene had happened so fast that Sai was far from able to react in time and before he knew it, Sorain had defied the Anbu, attacked them, been knocked away and attacked way futilely. Wide-eyed, Sai shook his head and darted to his brother, grabbing him quickly by the arm and preparing himself in case Sorain attempted to attack him as well, "Bro! Stop. Stop now. Anbu, lets just go, alright. Come on..." The boy said with a raspy voice, pulling at his brother's arm urgently as he tried to lead him out of the office.

Sorain snarled as he felt the weight of his brother grabbing his shoulder, He said all the while trying to reach out with his own chakra and trap the men in his own weak misguided attempts at Genjutsu. All around the office villagers began to flail about as their sight was temporarily stripped from them. For the moment Sorain felt a sense of truimph, "lets see the ******** fight me blind" it was not until he heard the words Anbu did his false sense of pride instantly leave his body. If his brother was right, and they were in fact Anbu, the main special ops force of any Shinobi Village, then not only would his weak genjutsu fail, but he would have literally no chance of defeating them. Sorain stumbled back as he rose himself to his feet and quickly cancled the jutsu in an attempt to save at least an ounce of dignity. He dusted his shoulders before allowing his brother to pull him away, all the while still pretending to be a little bit rilled up in hopes that his bluff of being "forced" out of the fight would suffice. For once in his life he was glad that he could not see the faces around him, surely he would be looking like a fool for attempting to take on two fully trained Anbu on his own, especially as an over aged genin. He said turning his back to them, all the while keeping himself ready to use his Mizu given ice ability to teleport himself out of a desperate situation. Over his shoulder he yelled "Pray to god that I dont find out what it is" As his last retort flew through his lips, he gladly allowed his brother to escort him out of the building.

Sai sighed heavily, his hand wiping the sweat that had formed on his brow off as his bright blue eyes observed his brother for a long quiet moment. Sometimes he wished that his brother had eyes to see the foolishness he did, maybe then he wouldn't behave the way he did all the time. "Hn... Calm now?" Sai questioned through a tightened throat as the feeling of pressure on his chest began to raise. That was not what he wanted to say, what he wanted was to tell his brother off for the way he acted, he had just told him a moment before that they were in a bad situation and to rethink the process of violence... But he knew better then to bother saying that, it would only lead to an argument that helped no one.
Turning to look at the mission office behind them, Sai shook his head and began to lead Sorain away from the building again. "Let's get the hell away from this place man... I swear there is something about this village I just can't like.. It's like there is some unspoken hatred towards or something I don't know. Like we're a enigma and they just want to be rid of us and they only put up with us for their own profit..."

Sorain shook his head as if to fight against the reality of what had just happened, he wanted so desperately for it to have been a dream and that he simply needed to shake himself awake and this would all just be a faint memory, that his parents were still alive, that his vision had not failed him before he had even opened his eyes, that the village was not keeping secrets from them. All he wanted was for things to be normal. Taking a deep breath Sorain slowly returned to his normal mood,"I dont know man, this s**t is entirely too shady for me to take lying down. Yea sure it was a bad idea to go head up with some Anbu, but we cant live like this. We have always known that there was something looming over our heads. Ever since the first day at the academy we have always been singled out. I always assumed that it was because we were the children of famous ninja, but lets ******** face it. Mom and Dad have been dead for a long time, a really long time. I know they were famous but dam" He said, trailing off as he could not find the words to properly explain how he was feeling. He did not know what to do with himself, it was not as if he could just go barging into the Mizukage's office and demand to know what they were hiding, mean while it was not necessarily in him to take it lying down either. Sorain placed his hand under his chin as he began to do a small bit of soul searching, trying to weigh the pros and cons of various courses of action. "We need to do something" He said while rubbing his temples trying to force the frightening idea out of his head, "We need to do something that will draw some attention to us and the fact that we are not gonna stand for the bull s**t. What happened back there looked like two brats who were piss hurt about not being able to get in on adult information. What I am talking about needs to be something that will show the village that we mean business. That we are entitled to these answers. Show them what it would be like if we were on the wrong side" he said as the words flew out of his mouth. The more he thought about it, the more sure he was that this would be a solution to there problem while at the same time prove to be even more difficult than he had imagined when thinking it up. Doing such a thing was easier said than down, how on earth would they send such a message without appearing to just be renegade pissed off teen agers?

Sai dropped his head and brought his fingers up to pinch the bridge of his nose, a heavy sigh pressing against his lips and shaking his entire body as the two continued to walk down the path. Where they were heading was unsure, neither of them were paying all that much attention to their path at the moment, it was a feat that proved beyond their capabilities at the moment. "Don't matter how you turn it, it just sounds like immaturity and stupidity. There's nothing we can do truthfully. They just proved that..." Sai said slowly, letting out another exasperated sigh, his head shaking slightly before slinging back so his bright blue eyes could search the sky in hopes for an answer. Some sort of answer, anything that might explain why things were so difficult, why they were oppressed and discriminated against all the time, to explain just why they couldn't live a normal life. Gulping heavily, he let his head fall back to his chest and his eyes turn to look at his brother with a sad longing that was not altogether directed at what his eyes saw but what his mind could, ... It's something, isn't it... We came in there looking for answers, ready to do what was needed and they proved... Without even trying, they proved that we are still only kids. They're only going to see us as that, and there's nothing we can do about it. I'm mean C'MON!" The boy exclaimed, throwing his arms out to either side of his body before continuing, "C'mon..." He repeated, this time a tinge of sadness pouring into his voice. "We can't show them anything... Not at this level. Not yet. But... We can." Sai set his jaw tightly, and closed his eyes calmly, the muscle in his jaw flexing for a few moments. Slowly the boys eyes opened, their bright blue color gone as the crimson red of the Sharingan replaced them. "We can play it smart... We can push ourselves to a new level... Play their game. Pretend to be the bumbling idiots... The complacent stooges... Use their training, their knowledge, and grow... And the first moment we get we will create that opportunity to get out... All we need is a commotion, one the likes this village hasn't seen in a long time... And with it we can escape and live the life our parents wanted for us. Maybe not the way they expected but the happiness and freedom that we deserve... We will get it.... Are you with it, brother?"

Sorain nodded without speaking at first, what his brother was saying made perfect sense to him, just bide there time a little longer, play it cool until the moment arose. It could be today, tommrow, or in years, but eventually their day would come and until then they would simply make use of the training that the village was providing them with. Sorain began to ponder what type of things could possibly serve their wishes, the thought of blowing something up came to mind instantly but he quickly dashed that aside, if they did something like that then they would not get their answers, instead they would be called criminals and hunted. They needed something that would cause a huge uproar, but not something that could be directly related to them. They needed an event that multiple people would be involved in, one that the whole village would pay attention to. "Yeah I with you, our day will come....eventually"But until then just what were they going to do? It seemed like a simple question but one that continued to evade them even at this very moment.

Kyuzaku glared at the fox-guy, and in the most serious voice he could muster, he replied, "Navy Blue, and the Tale of Genji. It's a powerful series." However, the fox-kin moved on to his next verbal attack on the youthful genin. He pried at the boy's life, and attacked his yet-unknown group skills. As much as Kyuzaku hated people like this twosome, the Inuzuka was admittedly amusing. Hibiki went on to introduce himself as a sushi-hater, a meat-lover, a music-player and someone who loved to lather sarcasm liberally over everything he said. Kyuzaku couldn't help but imagine a rare steak dripping in a surplus of barbecue sauce such that you couldn't taste anything but the sticky, overbearing coating. I bet he loves his steaks tasting no better than a bottle of rib sauce. No grace at all.
"Heh," Kyuzaku replied with a threatening look in his eyes, "Tell me, when was the last time you heard about someone's dog taking a swim in the ocean, and coming out with a shark in it's teeth, eh bro? Let me answer for you. Never. You taunt a shark, you'll meet his teeth. The end is never pretty." Kyuzaku would have flashed a grin with his triangular teeth, but alas, he had his mask on, so the smile would be useless. He refrained from unnecessary lower mouth movement, then continued, "Oh, and Rinku, trash the notebook. I'm going to give you some advice. You won't need notes when you're out on the field. Mottos, strategies, and sayings... Either commit them to memory, or trash them. If you have to write it down, it's not worth the time or the memory space."
As their introductions ended, the door opened, and a chuunin came in with a mission scroll, "M'kay kids. We're calling you three here today to present you with some news. First off: We've analyzed your skills from the academy, and the ninja council has decided that you three will make a great team. Although we don't have any jonin to assist you in your training, we are sure that you'll do fine. Kyuzaku, you're currently the most talented on the team, and you've proven yourself time and time again in the Mission-Oriented Honors branch of the Academy. Between your training, and your two completed D-Rank Mission's, you're a step above the other two. You'll be the active Team leader. Hibiki, you are born to be a tracker nin. You're agile and quick, and a decent tactician coming out of the academy. You also participated in the Mission-Oriented Honors Program. As you were in your mock missions, you will be needed as the team's sensor. Train your sight and smell well, you're going to need it. Rinku, you're hand to hand skills are above par for a genin coming from the academy, but the council sees another strength coming from you. Your lineage promises excellent growth. So, although you may not have the training your two comrades have already, you will prove to be a very valuable asset when you realize your true potential."
The chuunin held out the scroll, "As your first team mission, you will be trying to catch a band of vandals. They've been doing all sorts of mischief on the South side of Kirigakure. From them, we've seen broken windows, petty theft, and graffiti. You are going to stake out one of the few untouched shops in the market district, and set a trap for them. When they come, you will capture them, and bring them to the offices for their violations. Understood? Good. Have fun guys." The chuunin didn't waste another second before dropping the scroll on a desk, and exiting the room.
Kyuzaku got up from his seat, and grabbed the scroll, "Bro's..." He said with a pause, "If you screw this up for me, you'll pay. I'm trying to keep a good track record here. I never failed a mission in the academy, and I don't plan to start falling apart at Rank-D's. I swear, if this goes wrong, there will be hell to pay. Understand me? I have no time for your guy's screw ups."

After Rinku had finished his introduction he put his notebook back into his satchel. The fox ninja began to speak, but Rinku’s mind began to wander. I wonder what kind of mission this is going to be anyways… and what are we waiting for exactly… He looked up to hear the fox kid stating that he did not care for sushi and something else he couldn’t quite make out. Right… introductions… Rinku faded back out and began to think. First he imagined Rio in a dress he had drawn himself, but then a harsh memory erupted at her yelling at him for injuring Akio. Rinku exhaled slowly and shook his head. Dammit… being a ninja involves so much drama… maybe I should have just worked at my dad’s store… At least then I wouldn’t have to deal with people always putting me down… but… if I quit… That wouldn’t be a very good way to honor my real parents clan… Oh well… When he returned to reality he realized the shark kid was looking at him. He was just in time to hear him say to trash the notebook, and gave him a slight lecture on how ninja must commit things to memory. That’s when a chuunin made his way in. He basically said the team was put together for a reason. He began by complementing the shark kid on pretty much everything. He continued to compliment the fox boy on proficient sensory tactics and then came to him essentially saying “There was no one else…” Rinku shook his head, but before he could reply the chuunin bolted out of the room as if he had already sensed the drama in the area. Rinku frowned. Gawdammit… why am I on this stupid team… work together my butt… He took out his notebook and scribbled in his notebook. Find a way to get the hell out of this team… he wrote. He then looked up and thought. Ill have to take it up with the missions office after this mission. This Kyuzaku person was most likely team leader. He then said something about not screwing up, and his perfect record. Rinku certainly didn’t want to mess with this guys record, but he was getting fairly tired of the drama and anger emitted. He then nodded got up from his seat, pointed a finger to the sky and said heroically “ALRIGHT GUY’S!!!” His moral shattered and slowly seeping from him caused him to put his hand down ans well as his head “Let’s just get this over with…” He said depressingly and without another word he began to walk out of the missions office.

Hibiki glared at Kyuzaku, despite him still smiling. The Inuzaka could feel the rage boiling inside Kuro from beneath the table, however, it began to melt away as soon as the Chuunin rushed into the room and announced that the three of them are stuck together due to their skills. First thing he did was complement Kyuzaku and praise him as if he was a god amongst Shinobi. But what really pissed Hibiki off was his automatic ascension to Team Leader. The anger now flared up within the Fox and the Ninja as they tried to keep their smiling faces from showing their true nature. As if it was a common pattern, the feeling was swept away by the few praises coming from the Chuunin. He nodded whenever he said something about his superb tracking, for a Genin that is. Judging by what the Chuunin said about Rinku, Hibiki was right, he is possibly the weakest. That means I'll have to watch his back as well. Won't be too hard since 'I am a born tracker'. No one will be able to get a back attack while I'm around.Their mission was simple. Set a trap, catch some thieves. As a tracker/sensor Nin, Hibiki knew how to set up and disarm traps, albeit very small ones. He was still only a wet behind the ears Genin, but it was still nothing to scoff at. As soon as the briefing was done, the Chuunin raced out of the room, obviously not wanting to deal with them anymore and Kyu picked up the scroll and announced his failure free track record. "The only screw up that would interfere is your possibly questionable leadership skills. Other than that, we should be perfectly fine." He stated before standing. With a valiant cheer, or half valiant, from Rinku, they were off. Kuro dashed out from under the table and wormed his way through the crowd at the missions office. Hibiki walked beside the Kaguya, who was at least half a foot taller, and began to give him a bit of advice, "Listen, I can sense your negative feelings, they aren't hiding very well. However, Negativity is the cousin of Failure. Keep your chin up or you'll doom us all." He mentioned, sounding slightly harsh despite his good intentions. Complements weren't Hibiki's strong suit. Finally outside, Hibiki sniffed the air, while getting down on all fours. "The marketplace on the southside of town. pretty shifty place already, don't you agree?" He asked out loud, talking to Kuro more than anyone else.

Novvus had been walking around the village for the past hour, taking in the sights and acquainting himself with the layout. In that time he had learned the locations of some stores that sold their wares at a low price. It felt good to breathe fresh air after spending so much time in the DEW tunnels. Novvus walked at a brisk pace, not liking to travel at slow speeds. In his right hand he held a pouch of shelled peanuts, which he occasionally lifted and poured into his mouth. Having had enough, Novvus tied the mouth of the pouch and slipped it into his bag's side pocket. The dark-skinned boy took a deep breath, relishing the abundant moisture in the air. If this weather continues, i'll be able to begin prepping my plant specimens for propagation! he thought cheerfully. With a grin on his face, Novvus began to walk home. The house that Mishima decided to convert to a base was Novvus' grandfather's. It was located a good distance from the village and was partially concealed by trees. The windows were covered by a film that prevented light from showing through, so it always seemed like no one was home. The door had an ancient chakra recognition system connected to the knob. The only ones who could add and delete chakra signatures. Making sure that no one was following him, Novvus walked into the tree fringe, but stopped. "I forgot to buy fertilizer." Sucking his teeth, Novvus began walking back to the village.

Kaji walked off into the forest to find a river to wash off all of the blood that now drenched his clothes. "Come on boy lets go find something to eat." Kaji said as he looked down at his best, and only friend. Kurosai barked happily and bounded off to find something they could hunt. When Kaji finished cleaning himself off in the river he waited for Kurosai's howl. That was their signal that dinner was served.
When the howl rang out through the forest Kaji smirked and ran on all fours through the trees. When the target was in sight Kaji pounced on the deer and tore out it's throat. Then together Kaji and Kurosai dragged the deer back to their grove and started a fire. Then they skinned and gutted the deer. Kaji reveled in the primal feeling of tearing through the beast as the blood soaked into the soil.
He tore of a chunk and tossed it to Kurosai and then put the rest of the meat over the fire to cook. He couldn't help but smile as he watched Kurosai tear away at the meat happily. "I love living like this, wild and free. It's the way we were meant to be. Right Kurosai?" Kaji said with a smile. Kurosai barked in agreement and then went back to eating.
