Really mice are friends with pixies?!? Yavie’s eyes widened as she heard this. She turned to pick up the little mouse again, but alas the critter had scurried off back on it’s way after having been set down by Yavie. Hey little mousy come back. Yavie got up and stuck her head into the plants where the mouse had disappeared only to pull her head out a moment later to look at Yabetz. Aww.. he disappeared. I’m sorry I would have held on to him more if I had known mice were friends with pixies. We could have followed him.

Yabetz chuckled. Absently a small part of his mind noted he had certainly laughed more today than he had in awhile, though it wasn't like it was a deathly serious fox or anything.
"Donaw worry aboot it, Ah doubt the wee mousey would have led us tae th' pixies anyway. Smart things, they are. No' given enough credit."

mmmmm….. I suppose so. Yavie sneezed again and rubbed her nose and cheek finally managed to get most of the dirt off her cheek only leaving a small smudge left. So should we look for pixie nests together now? Cuz I don’t think that I’ll be able to find one on my own with the field being so mean. Yavie looked at Yabetz with hope shining in her eyes. I won’t give up on finding the little pixies so quickly just because of a mean old field of pretty flowers!

Yabetz nodded. "We c'n look tegether if ye'd like. Jus' dunnaw get yer hopes oop too high Bumblebee! I's rare tae find faeries or pixies, they doon't like bein' found very often." He sat and thought for a moment, trying to picture where the best spot to look for pixies in this field might be.

Don’t worry I won’t get my hope up to high. I just started looking for pixies after all so I know I’m not very good at it, yet. That’s ok though because I am stubborn, papa Ixen even says so. I know I’ll find a pixie eventually. I just know I will. Yavie started to bounce while sitting just a bit because she was so excited on the prospect of hunting and finding a pixie.

Yabetz hummed thoughtly. "Weel, tae be honest wi' ye Ah doon't think there are any here. I's too open an' the flowers are a wee bit too high f'r their liking. We'd have moor luck in a forest meadow or something like tha'." He supposed there were always the occasional critter that would enjoy a place like this, but one the whole Yabetz doubted there would be any faeries or pixies around this spot. Yes, forests were the best bet.

Yavie nodded along with what Yabetz said. It made since he would know where to find the cute little pixies. I will have to remember that. She stood up and looked at Yabetz curiously. Do you know of any forests or meadow nearby that could have any little pixies. I would be happy to go with you. I don’t have anywhere that I have to go so we have all the time in the world.

He started walking forward at a relaxed pace, guiding them to the edge of the field and into the forest he'd come out from.

To find something you don’t look for it? I don’t get it. Whenever I want to find something I have to look and look for it. I’m not very good at finding things. My brother Itov is really good at finding things so I usually just ask him to help me. Although it’s true I wasn’t looking for you when I found you. So I suppose I can find things without looking. Sometimes anyways. Yavie followed Yabetz.

"Ah doon't think et's sahpposed tae make sense," Yabetz said, musing out loud. "Ah think et's one o' those lessons ye learn aboot life as ye get older. Mah parents were al'ays sproutin' 'em off tae me. Parents do that." Or maybe it had just been him. His mother always said he was trouble incarnate and the reason for her gray hairs. Yabetz chuckled a little at the memory.

Yavie gave Yabetz and odd look. You had a mama Yabetz? My papa is always saying things like that too but only papa Ixen complained that I was giving him grey hair. He always said I was the troublesome child but that just made me the most interesting to love cuz somedays he wanted to cuddle with me and other day he wanted to throw me into a river.

Ah think she hoped it would keep me from runnin' around as much." He chuckled. "Ah still ran her ragged, Ah did!" It seemed he and Yavie had tormenting parents in common.

Nope I don’t have a moma. I have papa Ixen and papa Yuki. It was really nice that your momma gave you the mask. Why did she thing that it would slow you down though? Yavie started to giggle Yabetz sounded like she did as a kit. Papa Ixen should meet Yabetz’s moma it sounded like they had a lot in common if their kits gave them grey hair. Do you have any brothers or sisters Yabetz?

Didna slow me down a bit though, even if Ah ran into a rock or two gettin' used tae it." Behind his mask Yabetz winced a little at the memory of nearly going down in a bog cause he hadn't noticed it before he got five feet in. His dad had rescued him from that one.
"Aye, Ah have two sisters and a brother. We all went our separate ways after we grew up, Ah have no' a clue where they may be now."

Oh so that’s what you momma though. I don’t think it would have worked on me either. Yavie tagged along Yabetz wondering what his brother and sisters were like. You’re lucky to have a smaller family. I have two sisters and three brothers. With such a big family papa Yuki and papa Ixen were always worried about one of us getting hurt. I suppose they were right to since Nit got hurt pretty bad as a kit but still I don’t think they had to be so overprotective at times. Papa Yuki still treats us like kits at least you can argue with Papa Ixen and win sometimes. Of course Uncle Sin taught us all how to fight somewhat so it’s not like we could get into trouble all that often. Yavie rolled her eyes and wished her family were here so she could introduce them to Yabetz. He was a lot of fun.
