Okay, so the slow midair dramatic punch didn't play out so well. Pride had a pretty good counter in the form of a flying chair; dinner guest included. While slow motion was involved it sadly was more focused on the chair and it's occupant as Steve dodged it before they set fire to the whole place knocking over candles everywhere. Still it made for a pretty wicked arena of you know, burning tables and chairs while Pride stood mocking in the middle.
"HEY! You know it's not very cool to set people on fire at dinner and toss chairs around. You could really hurt someone!" Pride scoffed slightly, "I don't care Steve they all just got in the way, you knew what you were getting into when you started seeing Lilith. You got the mail you KNOW what would happen!"
"I never got that ac-" he was cut short by another flying chair which was dodged with much flourish, a flip was involved. "SILENCE STEVE! I will not have you mocking what I created! I will destroy you and ruin Lilith's love life for all time for what she did to me!" The demoness gave a nasty hiss starting to stalk towards Steve. "I won't let some worm like you defeat a demon like me!"
Meanwhile Steve rolled up his sleeves, grabbed a glass off the table and took a swig of water, (It was HOT fighting in that ring of fire!) and charged Pride again dancing between the flames.
"LETS DOOOOO THIIISSSSSSS!" he shouted as he took a leap onto a table using it for a boost to get to Pride as she marched towards him. He was going to wail on that (very pretty) face of hers!

With an eyeful of noodles, Steve grabs the nearest thing he can find- Lilith's hair.
Luckily, the silky-smooth, conditioned stuff is absorbent too, and sucks the grease right up.
It's a miracle! He can see! Now it was time for some good old fashioned Kung Pow.

She pushed up with all her might, with no help from Steve, to get the table up.

So flying tables were clearly the norm. He was lucky to avoid it really but maybe he should have looked the other way or something as he soon found himself with food blinding him and it hurt. It hurt so damn much! He ducked down onto the floor and started crawling around looking for something, anything to wipe the food out of his eyes!
He found something close by, it felt like a piece of material and so he used it to wipe the food out of his eyes. Oh it was a good thing to be able to see again though the occupant of the dress he had just used to clean his eyes out looked far from impressed and said something not really appropriate to repeat before running away. He wondered for a moment why she hadn't run already if she was going to but then he remembered that was one rather upset demon trying to kill him. Focus Steve... Focus!

Lilith didn't waste a second of time, bitchslapping Pride as hard as she could. While the avarice demon (and rival in practically everything) noticed her cheek stopped stinging a moment later, she also probably noticed Lilith was dualwielding a lit candlestick and...what appeared to be a Flail of the Spell of Defending and Compassion. Hmmm. Where had that come from? Steve decided to go with the idea that his girlfriend had probably summoned it, ignoring the less savory chances.
(It had actually been hidden in her dress. Along with a Glaive of Worldly Diamond. There's no such thing as being too prepared, right?)
"Pride," the second-year snarled, voice alight with malice, "let's take this outside." Then she flung a lit candlestick at the flame-haired female, grabbed Steve in her empty hand, and got outside as fast as she could. If there was damage to the restaurant, she wasn't paying for it!
roll = odd, plunge ahead [ "Candlejack," the young woman coughed, plucking a splinter out of her shoulder and holding her left arm a bit oddly. "Pride, you're paying for property damage, you idiot. Seriously? That monster's probably going to sue you later." Steve shot her an odd look, but Lilith just reached down inside her cleavage-he blushed an odd shade of violet at that-and pulled out a glaive, tossing it to her boyfriend. "Come on, Steve. Let's take her."
My arm's going numb, there was a slightly frenzied thought, stupid chair. No matter. I'll deal with it later. She grabbed a glass of kappa-produced water and downed it, rejuvenating energy...and letting her have the strength to toss the Flail of the Spell of Defending and Compassion at the female avarice demon.

Steve rallied, "Yeah!" He'd hit her with the eating utensils, of course the chopsticks did not stick into her demonic flesh like in the kung fu movies. He gawked as she knocked the sticks of wood aside. What was going to do the trick? Noodles, eyeballs? She seemed disgusted by the chopsticks coming in contact with her skin, maybe other tacky restaurant paraphernalia.
He was searching the floor behind the table when suddenly something forced the table backwards, he skidded along the ground, items were being scrapped along the floor with him... was that a skitter? poor thing must've been hanging from the bottom of the table.
The table flipped with the weight of whatever was on the other side of it and Steve found himself pinned between the floor and table. Grabbing for anything that could possibly pull him from beneath the table Steve's hand clamped down on something long and thin, a rope! What luck! He yanked on it.
"Yoooow!" Something screamed from the other side of the table. Steve turned and noticed the large tentacle monster teetering a top the table. Had she thrown the monster, chair and all at him?!

Table! Duck!
Lilith managed to avoid the table but not the food that went flying with it. Moo goo gai pan, steamed dumplings and, worst of all, spicy kung pao went everywhere - including her face.
"Auugh! My eyes!" she screamed. Blinded, she felt around the floor for something - anything to help. Miraculously she found a glass of ice water that the pesky waiter had insisted they take before he would bring them their meal. It was still half full!
"Guess that twerp gets a tip after all," she muttered as she used the water to get the goop out of her eyes. After a few minutes she stood, eyes still streaming tears but able to see (albeit a bit blurry).

WTF!
Omg this demon was nuts! Throwing a chair! What was wrong her. Dunking he miss everything but the....WTF the person! Looking down at it Steve smiled to try and make the person feel a bit better. "Are you ok?" Steve ask trying to clam down the person. Weakly the person nodded but keep hanging on to his leg. Sighing Steve grab a fist full of noddles and chucked it at pride.

1st roll (14) trapped under table
"Sludgesticks, that woman is strong!" Steve thinks to himself as he watches Pride easily evade his attack and pick up the innocent diner and hurl her at the two of them. Thankfully he managed to shove Lilith out of the way, taking the full brunt of the attack himself.
The chair and diner smack full force into the table in front of Steve, toppling the table over onto his thigh. Pinned, Steve looks to Lilith for help. But she's recovered quickly and is off on the offensive, hurling spells at Pride left and right.
"Quick. Think quick." Steve frantically searches around for something to help him get the table and innocent bystander off of him with. Ah, that broken chair leg will do! He manages to lever the table off himself and climbs back up on his feet looking to join back in the fray.

Lilith wasn't quite sure how she was able to dodge the onslaught that Pride had hurled at her.
Then, there was the fire. The demon clenched her fists, and prepared to make her way towards her enemy.However, a plume of smoke rose and obscured Pride so much that she could not even see her silhouette.
"Damnit!!"
She would have to wait.

"Hey, I remember you saying that before." Lilith smirked, flung pumpkin lazily off her fingers, and ignored the way Steve's mouth dropped open at the...implication. "And you bet I'll touch you with something else if you don't get the-" Wait a second. "Jack! Steve, get down!"
Lilith lost sight of aforementioned boyfriend (by now, ex waiting to happen; he had to be, stupid candlejacking avarice exes) as she dove out of the way of the chair, and right into the way of the table it knocked over. She grunted at the brute force and sudden breathlessness of it all. And in the way of all short-story cinema and dramatic prose, the dust settled around our anti-heroine in her alleged final moments.
"You candlejacking, rainbow-sucking, glitter-licking healbot whore."
But lo! Spitting epithets from bruised lips, Lilith staggered haltingly to her hands and knees. She got to her feet, lifting the table off and rubbing a ribcage sore from the blow. But the face she raised to Pride? Still confident, still smirking: and straight out of the movies, wiping a trickle of batatouille off her lower lip. "Bring it on, princess."

Wait.. that worked?
Steve blinked at the goo oozing down the side of Pride's face and laughed a little at her response. But... then there was fire.
His shoulder slumped. "Man...." Could today get worse? He looked to Lilith and was momentarily swept away from her beauty. Little smokey hearts fluttered by his face and somewhere a love meter dootdootdooted to full. Yep. Today could get a whole lot worse, cause at least they were a totally cute couple.
And then his shirt started smokey. Probably because it was on fire. "Wah!" He frown and slammed his wrist on the table til it stopped. "Owww." He pouted at the smoke what was now spreading throughout the restaurant. The only available action was to race through it.
Brandishing a rather shiny metal spork (for those customers who shunned the chopstick), he rolled through the roiling clouds and in a fit of coughing skidded to a stop just inside the ring, stabbing randomly in the air to maybe at least get a scratch on her. He could see a general shape, but nothing definitely. Though he did think he felt something jiggly jar the end of his spork.
Hurr. Demon boob.

What the...okay so she had some power. BIG DEAL. It wasn't as if there weren't some others around here with just as much or more power.
No way was Steve about to let this completely ruin his night. Screaming bloody murder and ignoring all the chaos around them, he went for Pride's hair again with the chopsticks. Hey, it worked the first time!! And hopefully Lilith would back him up...
